Hi, my name's Olivia. I'm 31 years old and I work full time as a lawyer in the APS. I am a friendly, tidy and considerate housemate. I work pretty hard and go to the gym most days. I also enjoy reading and am trying to write a book. I'm a considerate, tidy and friendly flatmate. I am fairly independent however it would be nice to share a house with someone who enjoys a good chat in the evenings and who I could share the occasional meal or drink with.
Hi guys, I’m katie :) I'm 20 and from Korea I like reading books, listening music, exercising and cooking. I work at a hotel and I usually exercise and study English during my free time. I can keep the house clean and I like chat but I know it is important to have private time. I will spend at least 6 months in Canberra and get a house to stay in the meantime. Thank u :)
Hey! I’m a college student who works most nights and weekends in a restaurant in Kingston. I spend most of my free time studying or hanging out with friends. I’m generally a pretty quiet, tidy person but do enjoy a nice chat from time to time. I enjoy drawing, listening to music, reading, watching Netflix, cleaning and occasionally cooking! Looking for a long term place ideally.
Hey flatmate hunters! I'm looking for a flatmate to team up with to find a place. I'm also open to taking a room in an established place. You would be moving in with me, and a 5 month old Border Collie puppy called Pepper. I've lived in Canberra for the past couple of years, working in international affairs. Before that, I was overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years working with a human rights NGO. Don't judge me, but I'm originally from Adelaide. Being a proud dad to a Border Collie pup keeps me pretty busy. Otherwise, I'm pretty active and love being outdoors - playing sport, camping, hiking, snowboarding (not always well!). I love watching football (round and oval ball), and binging on netflix. I've just finished season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so open to suggestions!! What I'm looking for... Ideally I'm looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 or 3 bed place in the inner north or south. As I've got a Border Collie puppy, so I'm looking for somewhere with a reasonable sized (and fully secure) courtyard/backyard, which allows pets and a housemate who likes dogs. I'm willing to pay up to $300pw. I’d like to live in a house that feels more like a home, with someone who's keen to hang out and socialise, but who wont get offended when I occasionally look to chill on my own! I’ve got most of the necessary furniture - though anyone in possession of a washing machine and/or fridgewill be highly regarded! ☺ Give me a shout if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat, or if you think I'd be suitable for your current place! Cheers, Trystan
We are New Zealanders new to Canberra and to Australia. Izzy started her Masters in Environmental Science at the ANU in February (been flatting in a single room in Narrabundah) and Dave is moving over at the beginning of June. Izzy studies full-time and Dave works in sales. We like road trips, camping, and hiking, but also watching movies, going out for dinner, Netflix, cooking. Dave really likes video games and Izzy likes caring about the environment. We've been living together for four years (until the last six months) and have been flatting for 5-6 years so we're house-trained, respectful, and tolerant. We're happy to be social or not, we're good at going with the flow :)
Friendly, laid back, clean and tidy Irish female professional. Relocating to Canberra for an 8 week contract role so looking for a short term furnished bedroom preferably Kingston/ south canberra area and close to public transport. Will probably be spending a lot of weekends back in Sydney so won’t be there all the time.
Hi potential housemate(s), I am seeking a peaceful abode to call my home. I am a born-and-bred Canberran, but have been travelling a lot the last 4 years. However, Canberra has called me back and I currently find myself contracting to the DHS as a UX/UI Designer (points if you know what is). Outside of work I am interested in living a healthy + uplifting lifestyle. I'm into such things as...nature, camping, hiking, reading, writing, yoga, planning my next trip away, climbing, adventuring...you know, all the fun stuff. I'm easy going, easy to get along with (I believe), like to contribute to healthy home environment, will raise my issues if I have one (rare) rather than be passive aggressive (can't stand toxicity). It's important to me to feel comfortable where I live so I'd love to catch up and see if we are a good fit. It's all about the synergies! Looking forward to finding my new home :)
I'm looking for a share house in the inner south. I'm a non-smoker looking for a friendly house. I respect other people's personal space and always pull my weight when it comes to housework. I work full time in the public service. I don't have any pets but love animals, especially dogs!
WHO: I'm a full-time worker who is clean and reliable but also very quiet. I am happy for a chat but I do tend to keep to myself, so prospective housemates must be okay with this. I’m vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking (but don’t mind if you’re not), and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. Reference from current landlord/housemate available. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy place that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet (no ad hoc parties!). I have my own furniture and am hoping to fit a single bed, 2 chests of drawers, a bookcase and desk in my room. I also have a small amount of my own cookware for the kitchen, if it can be accommodated. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or disruptive drunkenness. WHERE: Anywhere in the ACT, so don’t be put off if your suburb isn’t in my preferred list. WHEN: I need to move by June 30, but other than that I'm pretty flexible with moving date. June would be preferable but earlier can be negotiated; I need to be able to give at least 2 weeks notice. HOW: If you would like to meet me and show me your place, please send me a message (with any extra helpful info that is not in your listing), and we'll go from there.
I'm a super clean, pretty quiet Aussie girl who's friendly, kind and considerate. I moved last year from Queensland for the cooler life and I'm loving Canberra. I work full-time that includes 2 weekends a month, plus an occasional shift in a casual job so I'm generally pretty busy and independent. I'm also considering returning to uni part-time next year in the health sciences. I like to live a healthy lifestyle and am outdoorsy. I love cycling, hiking and I can't wait to go snowboarding and kayaking on the lake. When I am home I enjoy the odd night sharing dinner in front of a movie or Netflix. I also often like time to myself to wind down or study so I generally go with the flow with what others feel like doing at the time. I'm certainly no big party animal and don't smoke. I don't have a car at the moment but getting one very soon so near a frequent bus line as well as parking available is also a requirement. I'm staying in short term accommodation at the moment, allowing me a flexible move in date while I await the right place and flatmate/s. I can also supply excellent references from past flatmates and landlords that show I've always paid rent and bills ahead of time and am one of the best flatmates around! :-)
Im 21 and have a gorgeous dog laila, who loves people and cuddles and other dogs after she gets over her anxiety of meeting new dogs. Im easy going and love movies and cooking, im happy to spend time with people or spend time by myself and my dog. Currently living with my parents on a property and looking to move out and be closer to town and work. I work full time and sometimes gok to the gym at my work when im not feeling lazy.
Hi! I'm Ola. I'm moving from Brisbane to Canberra in about a month and I'm looking for a share house with friendly and relaxed people. I've lived in many share houses over the years in Brisbane and I am a friendly, clean and reliable housemate. I love crafternoons, coffee in the sun and weekend markets. If you think I'd be a great addition to your share house, please message me!
I'm a Christian who is looking for another like minded person to share a flat. I've found it a challenge to move to a place where I don't have a sense of community, and am seeking to set up a flat-share with a community feel. I am clean, tidy, organised and like everything to have a place in the home. I'd love to share meals occasionally (or regularly if you're up for it). In terms of work, I'm a teacher and have been doing relief work for the interim, whilst I sort out a more permanent job. I am in the process of organising contracts etc for term two (starts in May). It's nice to have choice and know the schools, so taking my time has worked well. I have a range of interests, such as bushwalking, spending time outdoors, picnic-ing, playing board games, reading and drinking tea. I love tea, I come complete with tea, tea-cups and tea-pots. Yes, I drove them across the Nullabor in my pink bubble of a car. I enjoy cooking, and baking, and eating the results of such activities, particularly with a glass of wine in hand. I've recently moved to Canberra from Perth to be in the same city as my boyfriend, he works on a wind farm, which aren't really transportable. We don't want to live together before being married, but that being said, we have been spending quite a lot of time together.
I'm a quiet, respectful, considerate and reliable person. While living by myself at the moment, I have lived in share houses for 6+ years in the past. I don't necessarily expect to become BFF with my new housemates but I'd like to share a bit more than just the roof and walls of the house, like a game night or shared dinner or what not once in a while... I'm French but Canberran since 2008. I like rock climbing and Latin dancing, and do other things sporadically too. I like growing veggies and I have a laying chicken (while I could sell her back if needed, I'd much rather keep her if possible). I'm flexible with moving dates (anytime with ~1 month notice): I enjoy where I leave at the moment but my work has just moved and I'd like to stay at reasonable biking distance from it... my contact in reverse :) moc tod liamg ta unrebj
I have lived in Canberra for 8 years now, originally from Harden. I work full time as a mechanic. I am a quiet relaxed person, who is happy to socialise and have personal time too. I am a clean person and I respect other people's property and boundaries. I spend every other weekend away with family, and I play cricket (both indoor and outdoor) two nights a week. I like to keep active outside, such as push bike riding. I like to game (either alone in my room or happy to play with housemates). I also enjoy Marvel and DC movies, and I'm more than happy to enjoy a movie night with friends and housemates. I have a 3 year old American Staffy named Dooey, who is the loveliest dog ever. Dooey is desexed and toilet trained. He is primarily an outdoor dog. He gets along really well with other dogs and has grown up with cats. He is a kind hearted dog and super friendly towards all people.
I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am a non smoker. I have no pets but I am a pet lover. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs. Would like to find a roommate who is clean but not ocd clean. Looking for a room to rent or another flatmate to find something together.
I'm Lilis kho, studying at UC and looking for a room for myself and dog(Joey). Joey is a small jack russel who is quiet and spend most of his time relaxing and rarely make any noise/bark. I'll be moving out in next 2 or 3 week. Hope to hear anything back soon. Thanks Lilis Kho
I'm an archaeologist from Sydney, I transferred to my company's Canberra office for 12 months at the beginning of the year. I like cooking, preserving food, ideally growing some as well. I like to cook for people, so am happy to share dinner and a drink with housemates. I also work a lot, so am reasonably quiet during the week, spending most of my free time watching netflix. I also have a small cavoodle, George. He comes to work with me during the day, but we try and get out for walks and to explore the city on weekends.
Luke and I are two high school mates that are looking to move into a share house together. Luke is looking to get some perspective living out of home in a share house, while my current share house is disbanding as the lease has come to an end unfortunately. We both work full time as qualified tradesmen (Carpenter / Painter) giving us good experience respecting other peoples property and space. We both like to socialise over a drink after work, but also enjoy our own personal space. We have a great group of friends we enjoy doing activities with, but are always eager to make more!
Hello hi! First things first, I do have a cat, his name is Oscar he’s orange and super friendly. He comes with references and is fully toilet/scratching tree trained. He’s 15 so he basically does nothing but lay around these days lol Apart from Oscar, I’m pretty easy going friendly. I work full time in retail so would be mostly out of the house during the day and in the weekends. I’d really like housemates that are social and friendly, I love a good chat and a wine or several! (Also happy to have Sunday arvo beers too) I can’t cook very well so Deliveroo tends to be a regular occurrence if that’s ok too. I would prefer own bathroom just because of Oscar and his litter tray and some form of parking is a must! Currently I do have an apartment full of furniture but that’s flexible! Open to suggestions for living arrangements ☺️☺️
I am a 24 year old full-time APS worker, and part time student. My days are mostly spent being active, working and studying. I enjoy being social and having a glass of wine or 2 on weekends. I am friendly, respectful and tidy. I am originally from Adelaide, but moved here for work August last year. Have been staying with my uncle, but now looking for somewhere of my own :)
