I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into an already established sharehouse. I would prefer a smaller place, maybe only 1 or 2 other people if possible. I love to just chill out and read (I'm a giant bookworm and spend 90% of my time reading) or watch Netflix (aka I'm a huge homebody). I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good chat and movie/trashy TV marathon. I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal. Pretty flexible with move-in dates and can do any time between the first of December to the 30th of Jan :)
I've just completed by undergrad and hoping to move out. I work full-time in HR and plan to start studying again in June/July next year. I've lived independently in Canberra and Melbourne so understand the ins and outs of living in shared accommodation. I work full-time during the week, spend my evenings at the gym and then complete life admin and socialise on the weekend. I'm very neat and tidy. I also prefer to be organised so will spend time meal prepping etc on weekends. I am fairly social so hoping for flat mates who are happy to have the occasional meal together or wine. I'm also respectful of space and privacy. I work in the city so hoping to get accommodation South side round Kingston, Barton, Griffith area. Let me know if you'd like to have a proper chat as I'm wanting to move in relatively soon! Thanks! Eden
My names Michael. Im a Young professional who will be joining APS in February and hoping to move to canberra in December. Im a quiet person who will like their personal space. - Im likely to stay with the place for a minimum of 18 months (I'm not an apartment jumper). - I'd have a car and would be willing to give you a lift to places if im also headed out. - I like a good chat, but im a very quiet person (you wont be hearing loud blaring music from my room disturbing you) - Id be down to clean with you or split the cost of a cleaner (whichever is your preference) - I've held numerous leadership positions throughout my career and university (as testament to my considerate personality) and would be very respectful to ensuring that we share a good relationship. - I never leave dirty dishes around and will take the initiative to bring out trash if its full. - I always pay rent on time. Hope this helps to illustrate that I would be a good roommate. Looking forward to your reply!
Currently in my mid-twenties, I will be relocating to Canberra in January 2020 for work reasons. A clean, friendly and easy-going individual from Melbourne, I like to stay active after work and unwind at home with a good book, wine, or over trashy reality shows. I drink socially, but do not smoke.
Hello! I am looking for a new place to live having recently moved from Brisbane earlier this year. I am clean, respectful and friendly and a full-time working professional in the APS. I enjoy sport, being outdoors, and of course a good wine and cheese night. I am looking for similar minded people who enjoy watching a movie together or going out to dinner, but also respects personal space. Looking to move in mid-late December (end of January at the latest)
I would consider myself to be clean, respectful and houseproud. I will be in Canberra for 6 months on a contract in the APS, full-time. Not looking for a party house, somewhere with parking (on or off street) with people preferably around the same age as me, likeminded and fun but mature. Suburbs I’m interested in are mostly around Parliament House/Manuka. Flexible with length of stay, even short term is fine for now. Please reach out if you think you have a room that would suit x
I'm coming to Canberra from Melbourne, leaving an academic career for a research job at Parliament House. That job starts on 6/1/20. I'm married, with a grown up family. My wife will likely come to stay weekends several times/year. I'm quiet, but not a recluse. I’m house trained, and am looking to be part of a well organised and tidy household. I go to bed fairly early, get up early. I like getting regular exercise - Pilates, yoga, etc. (In fact, I’m a recently qualified Pilates instructor.) I ride a bike. I like to go for long walks. I don't drink much, I eat simple/clean food.
I am relocating from the Gold Coast to Canberra in mid November to start full-time work. A couple of years ago I moved over from Colombia and I recently finished my Masters in Accounting at Bond University. I’m a clean and friendly person that respects each other’s space. In my spare time, I enjoy walking along the beach (which I will miss), going on hikes, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places.
I'm a 24-year old moving to Canberra from Adelaide in January for an APS grad job. I'm looking for a new home (room in an existing place or team-up) with social, respectful and easy-going housemates! I'm flexible on the move-in date, suburb, and number of housemates. I have been living in a share-house for several years so am well house-trained. I am generally out quite a bit in the evenings, but also enjoy getting to know my housemates and having relaxed nights in. I am friendly, easy-going, and respectful of privacy and space. My typical weekend is spent checking out bars, live music and brunch-spots, soaking up some vitty D, spending time with friends in the great outdoors, and watching AFL. If any like-minded people have a room or would like to team-up to find a place please feel free to shoot me a message!
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in government. I love reading, sport, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
looking for someone who can communicate- that is, are interested just as much in listening as in talking; is in late 40's, early to mid 50's; is open-minded with respect to alternative healing modalities such as kinesiology and reiki, and is also open-minded to life being lived on a more spiritual level- meditation, energetic work. I love dancing, history, making historical costumes, arts and crafts. I am starting to learn about opals and gemstones-where to find them and then how to cut and polish them. I am a tutor for literacy and numeracy- helping people who learn in different ways. I am generally quiet, love music, learning about different cultures, and want to explore Australia in a year or two. I am trustworthy, reliable and expect the same in a house mate, especially regarding rent and bills.
