We are moving to Sydney as we have both been offered new jobs. I will be working as a food product development manager and Adam will be working as a professional photographer. Adam is very funny and I'm not funny at all but I love a good laugh. I used to be a chef so nothing makes me happier than a clean kitchen and Adam likes to garden and fix things. We’d prefer to live in a house with a little garden so Adam can put his green fingers to work. We both love dogs and are very easily won over by pet owners. Non smokers and very responsible drinkers.
I am coming back from six months backpacking and studying in Europe and two weeks volunteering in Thailand. Before I left Australia, I rented with flatmates for two and a half years and we all had an enjoyable time! I am sociable, easy-going and a good cook so the kitchen will always smell nice! When I get back to Australia, I will be returning to my casual job at Macquarie University where I work 20+ hours a week and I will finish my last semester at the University of Sydney, after which I plan to do my masters in Secondary Education.
I'm an American trying to find my way back into the inner-inner west (please don’t message for places that are not inner-inner west). I have yet to give my notice at my current location, which is 3 weeks, so the place I'm looking to move into needs to be available around the second week of December. At a glance: - $280/week budget (all bills in this) - Inner inner west/inner city, no more than 30 mins to Central by public transit, with walking time - preferably furnished - preferably no more than 3-4 people in the household - absolutely must be pest-free and clean (old is fine!!) - move in during early-mid December I keep to myself for the most part but I'm social enough that you won't worry about there being a dead body in the room and I'm certainly open to recapping the week over a wine or tea, I clean up all my messes (and I have too much experience cleaning up other people’s messes), and I always pay rent on time. Heck, even early if I can't pay on the scheduled day. I just won't suit a large sharehouse--I find things tend to stray into chaos when there's more than 3-4 unrelated people living under one roof. Currently I live with a married couple, renting a room in their recently acquired apartment. It's new and snazzy but it's expensive and in a sad, bleak part of Sydney. They have been great to live with (the best people I've ever rented from), but I need to find a cheerier suburb. My budget is listed as 280--for me this means all up, all bills, up to 280/week. Additionally, as I am a foreigner, I would GREATLY prefer a furnished place, at least just with a double/queen bed--I don't want to be stuck trying to sell off furniture. I am NOT interested in bleak, gray, apartment-centric suburbs. Thanks for reading and lemme know if what you've got fits! PS: Feel free to ask me about the time I used to live in Glebe with a hoarder who managed to infest the house with fleas while we had no pet. I noped out of that fast and lost so much money in the process. It would explain to you how much of a legend flatmate I am and my perseverance in times of adversity. But really, please, no bug infestations.
My name is Jonathan and I'm 22 years old. I work 4 days a week in the city as a transcriptionist (typing out what people say), and my main hobby would be music (guitar) which dedicates itself to my spare weekday in the form of rehearsals down Marrickville-way. I'm well-versed in the sharehouse lifestyle and am all about staying on top of general tidiness before it gets out of control. I definitely appreciate a good yarn and catch up with the housemates, but am also of the belief that quality downtime is definitely important for maintaining a good headspace. Being musically inclined, I like to try and catch shows, have a beer, and see if I can spot a few friendly faces. Cheers for having a read!

Hello, Im Erika Im new here in Sydney but getting used to it really fast. I'm looking for a place to move in two weeks, the best thing would be near train station. I'm full time worker and student and in my free time I like to explore places so I do not spend much of time inside. I like to sit for a talk in the evenings but also I really like to have my personal space that's why I look for private room. Im easy going, communicative, open - minded and tidy person. I like to learn about world culture and aslo share about mine. If you have something to offer please message me because this program not always letting to send messages. Btw If place is suitable for me I can stay longterm.
I'm super easy going and can get along well with most! I like to keep my shit tidy and am happy to do my chores weekly. I have a small jungle of plants 🌱 which is ever growing, along with quite a large art collection 🎨 which will usually spill out into the communal areas. I'm quite a social butterfly with pals around or hangs with roomies, but will also have nights locked away in my room with books or Netflix. I'm a recently graduated BFA Acting student, (but I don't scream all the time or have thespian mates who judge you for not knowing who Henrik Ibsen is 🎭). I work full time between auditions in a cafe on king street ☕️🍰. I love to cook and love to share meals so I'll flick you a plate of hearty yums here and there! I'm essentially looking for somewhere I can make into a home in this big bad city, with some people who are kind, clean, creative and open. xx Please don’t get in contact about share rooms or homes above $240 or far from Newtown, I need to stick to my budget, stay close to work and have some privacy, so ta in advance 🙏🏻 Thanks! Ebony 🌙🌼✨
I'm an IT Prof working in the CBD. I was born in India, grew up in New Zealand and recently did 3 years in London so I am from everywhere. I’m into fitness, walking, cooking and dancing so involved in lots of social activities during the day and the evening. I'm a very tidy person and easy going hence looking for a chilled out place to call home.
Hi! We are two Dutch girls looking for a home away from home. After travelling the eastcoast we are looking for a place to stay for a couple months in the beautifull Sydney!
I'm a full time professional working in Martin Place, currently living in a sharehouse in Newtown but our place is getting renovated and re-leased :( would love to continue to live in Newtown or somewhere closer to the city so I could potentially walk to work and save some cash! I love going away for weekends in my van or going out in the city with friends and I also love bouldering, yoga, chilling in the sun reading a book or at the beach. Love hanging at home with a glass of wine too. I keep to myself quite a lot but also love a good chat with the housemates or hanging out on the odd occasion :) I also have a 6yr old cat who has lived with me in many sharehouses and she is a super shy cat, toilet trained and mainly hangs outside in the sun if there is the opportunity.
I’m an easygoing Scottish girl looking for a place to stay over the summer! Love a good convo over a cup of tea or a glass of wine. I am super clean and tidy, and would be respectful of your privacy if needed. Currently working full time in the CBD, and enjoy exploring the city on the weekends or finding a new pub to have a pint in.
Easy going professional working in the CBD and looking for quality flatmates! From the south west and hoping for an easier commute to work. Keen for quality bants and brunch buddies if possible! Do need off street parking however!
I am clean and tidy, obviously pay rent and bills on time without any fuss and I'm a kiwi, so you can laugh at my accent. Just started studying (it's a four month course) and my budget has changed! Working part time with folks living with intellectual disabilities. I am studying design in my spare time. Otherwise I'm exploring Sydney, sleeping, painting, at a dance class or at the gym.
Hi, we are a gay male couple, Kim and Gary, in our early 30s, working full/part time. Gary works for the national film school (AFTRS), he's very passionate about arts, culture, community and social political issues. Kim is just as passionate about all that, plus he works as an architect. We like to keep a clean house. We're financially stable, and can provide our previous rental owner referee.
Hi, I'm Jared (sure it says I'm Kara, but it lies!) myself and my girlfriend Kara are looking for a place/room in the inner west Sydney area, and...um, what to write next... What would you like to know of us? We have legs, and my mum thinks I'm cool- we play well with others, what else? We are in our 30s, both love movie/games nights (both board and video) and are both ex bar tenders so make some pretty mean cocktails! After a few weeks of searching for a share house and finding nothing particularly great we have decided ‘screw it! Let’s start our own!’- oh yes, we’re going off the grid! (While still being in all conceivable ways still connected to the grid- cos I like electricity and sewage). I work as a science communicator traveling around Australia teaching kids about dinosaurs and the galaxy (with puppets!) and a bunch of other cool stuff (so you don't even have to worry about me half the time) and Kara is super awesome… except for her spine, her spine hates her and everyone around her- she’s currently on sick leave from the justice department while her spine decides whether it wants’ to keep living with us or go get a place on its own. Kara works for the justice department (well not so much at the moment… she's busy repairing her back from stupid injuries but shall be hopefully back keeping the community safe soon!) If you’re interested meeting up for a coffee/brew/liquid of your choosing and a chat to see if we are people you could live with then we should do that. We'd love to hear from you and are happy to answer any question you can throw at us, however if it’s ‘what is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow’ please specify if it's African or European-
I’ve recently moved from Adelaide for a job with the NSW Government and am looking for a sharehouse with other 20s-30s professionals or students. I’m ideally looking for a friendly bunch who like to hang out together from time to time. I’m not big into partying these days, but always up for going out to a gig or a couple of drinks. I’m tidy, respectful, easy going, and enjoy a good chat over wine. I also love to cook and usually stick to healthy options, but I am not above buying affection with baked goods!
Hey! Im 23 years old from Sweden, new to Sydney! Im looking for a room FROM 22 OF JANUARY in a shared apartment - prefer easy-going amazing people to share it with :). My plan is to work full time, which means Im searching for a pretty quite place, but would love to enjoy some food and a glass of wine now and then!
Hi everyone! My name is Ines and I am from Spain, I am in Australia on work and holiday. I’m looking for a private/shared room in Sydney. I love to spend my free time with friends, doing yoga, going to the beach or just enjoying in nature. I am friendly, responsible ,tidy and chilled.
I'm really easygoing, reliable, tidy and respectful. Moving over from Perth for the summer to do an internship so I'd love to get to know some people while I'm here! Having said that, I also appreciate personal space and won't be hosting any parties and will keep it pretty low key during the week. Also I love cooking and would be keen to share a dinner & drink on occasion. Cheers
I'm an active and busy person who loves being out and about. I love exploring new areas particularly to scout for good food or drink spots. considerate of other people and their space but also happy to chat! I'm not a smoker, drug user or big smoker. I am in a relationship so won't be bringing a new person home each night. We like to spend weekends away and football (soccer) dominates my calendar for most of the year so I'm out and about frequently.
