Hey there, This is Samoti or Sam as more popularly called. I love meeting new people. Looking for a place to stay in the City where I'll get to have my own space but at the same time get to interact with my housemates on and off which may include having a drink or two/ watching a show/playing a game , up for anything. Look forward to meeting/living with like minded people.
Hi! I'll arrive in Melbourne on February 12th to begin my master studies in Construction Management at the University of Melbourne. I'm 27 yo & have lived abroad for the past 7 years (mostly in shared houses, so I know well how to live with roomies in peace & enjoy it.;)). I'm clean, tidy, laid back, friendly & my friends say funny too :D. In my free time I'd love to cook (gotta be careful to not eat your fingers :P), share a beer or two (wine is even better), watch movies, go for a walk or hike! I'm ideally looking for a private room in an existing shared house but also willing & excited to team-up with other cool, easy-going people looking for a place to call home. :)
Hi! I'm Adelaide, a soon-to-be uni student who is looking to relocate from Newcastle (NSW) to Melbourne. I'm planning on studying at the University of Melbourne & I am looking for a sharehouse full of interesting, diverse and friendly people while I'm begining my tertiary studies. :) I am currently working part-time and will be working whilst studying. I love art and music - playing (predominantly) the guitar - but I am always willing to try new skills and hobbies. I'm very sociable and clean, and work well with others. I love meeting new people and I would describe myself as an ENTP/ENFP who is super duper open-minded!
Hello, I'm a very friendly and tidy second year Arts student at the University of Melbourne, originally from Sydney. I'm looking for somewhere to live until mid-June this year, and would love a quiet place that's within walking distance to uni. I also work and volunteer as a tutor so will be out and about quite often.
Hey there, I'm a 26 year old male who has lived in various share houses for the past few years whilst working full time. I recently returned from a 4 month overseas trip and decided to leave my 6-year job behind as well. However, I still have plenty of savings left, so paying rent/bond/bills are no issue at all, and once I am settled in a place I will jump back into the workforce. I pay things on time and am a tidy housemate. I'm a music producer, am into photography/video and generally enjoy spending my time being creative. I also enjoy cooking, so I cook most nights too (fingers crossed for a gas stove 🤞). I have travelled quite a bit so am open to many types of people from all walks of life. I enjoy a good chat but also respect everyone's privacy. On some weekends I might be out and about, but other weekends I might be relaxing at home... probably eating various cheeses. Every now and then I might head away to a music festival for a few days, too. My main requirement is that I would need a larger room to hold both my bed and my large desk with studio equipment (the desk is about 2m wide). Even though I make music, I am courteous of others and at night time I make music on my headphones 🎧. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message 😀 .
Hi. I'm planning to move to the city or somewhere closer. I'm a postgraduate student so looking for people who are decent and fun to hang out with. Being an IT student, I wouldn't say my sense of humour is that bad :P Other than nerdy stuff, I'm into sports, fitness, cooking, eating, and movies. A "balanced" life. I'm particularly interested in people who are willing to rent out a whole apartment for ourselves ( 1 or 2 bed ) which usually requires bond of around $1000 each. Hit me up on 0.4.1.2 if 8.0.8 you're 8.6.3 interested. Cheers :*
Hi I am a 25 year-old professional soon to be working in Melbourne. I have been renting with friends and others for the last 5 years and have had a great experience every time. I am a Law/Commerce graduate currently working full-time in Brisbane. I am moving to Melbourne through an internal transfer with my company. I start work on the 30th of Jan, 2017, so hoping to be settled in a new place in Melbourne by then. I am a relaxed individual who enjoys being social but also appreciates peace and quiet as I often work long hours with my job. Love a glass of wine, the occasional netflix show, bars and cafes. I also love to stay active and eat healthy. I prefer a clean household, where all housemates are willing to equally share all cleaning duties. I am looking for a like-minded individual to share a house with. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions :)
Hey team Recently moved down to Melbourne to study Youth Work at RMIT and indulge in the lifestyle down this way. Originally from Coffs Harbour but have been living in Canada doing some cool things for a couple of years, but wanted to come down to Melbs and study. I'm 26 and I've been waitressing, travelling and Skiing around the world since I left high school and now keen for something new. The music scene/ creative vibe of Melbourne has definitely attracted me to this city. I'm down to earth, social, very much into gigs and live music- music in general and being around people but also love my down time and respect people's personal space. I've been living in staff housing and share houses throughout my travels so I totally respect different lifestyles, living arrangements, personal boundaries and the big one... being tidy 🙂 I've also been known to have killer dance moves and I can show you my ways if you would like. I want to live with people who are like-minded, and love to have a chat/drink/ meal together every now and then. I love drinking coffee, sports, and getting outside and taking advantage of the weather when its lovely :) Thanks so much!!! Look forward to hearing from some people! Aimee
Looking for a room preferably in a 2 room apartment... I'm very easy to get along with and try to avoid conflict at all times. I like to keep fit during the week and do a bit of interstate travelling for work. I can quite easily keep to myself and socialise with who I'm living with when appropriate. Looking for like minded people that are settled and not looking to party every night
Hi there. I am looking to move in to Melbourne by end of January 2017 for my masters at RMIT city campus. I am 28 yrs old male. I'm looking for a separate peacefull room in a sharing apartment. I will be working part time. Preferably close to a station.
Hi! I'm a 22-year-old student from Finland but I live and study Food & Nutrition in Uppsala, Sweden. I'm coming to Melbourne to do an exchange semester at Deakin university. I love: to cook, dance, travel, read, Netflix&chill and run. I'm tidy (but not too tidy), I'm social but love to be by myself every once in a while. And I love dogs! Love, Emma
Hey there, I am a 23 years old Chinese girl, easy-going, tidy and respectful. I like doing exercises and sharing things with people. I am a student now and still have 2 semesters to finish. Hope I can get well with you. I don't know what info will be attracting, if you are interested we can talk it in more details.^^
Social yet able to give people space, non-party-person (though I do like to have a few friends over now and then!), sane and sorted, and generally fun-loving!
I am 26 years old, moved from Perth to discover a new city and experience a new life. Pretty sporty (love running, riding and swimming). I did a few triathlons in Perth and hopefully looking forward to starting that up again in melbourne. I work full-time in the city, the usual 9-5 hours, so I follow a pretty predictable routine. I have lived in sharehouses throughout my undergrad at uni so I would like to say that I am pretty confident about my flatmating abilities. I am social and love spending time with family and friends, but at the same time, love to spend 'me time' walking, reading, cooking and watching TV shows. I respect others and I would like the same respect to be reciprocated.
25, English, moving across to Melbourne in February. Will be working the 9-5 during the week. Spend most my time keeping fit or chilling out... Be nice to find a relaxed place but share a beer at the weekend
Hi there, I'm Angael, a French women of 30 YO. I'm looking for a smart and chill place in Melbourne from the 21st of January (yes, tomorrow!) until the 7th February. My english is not the best that's why I will go at school every morning during these 2 weeks. And well, I'm not real good singer but I really like live music and drinking beers ;)
Starting a bachelor of Science at Swinburne Hawthorn campus. Looking for a place with easy access to Swinburne campus, either walking or public transport. Looking for a current Share house, or starting a new share house, currently leasing atm so I do have stuff. I'm clean and easy going, like computer gaming, eating, drinking, health, fitness, and pondering how to balance all that.
I am 25 years old, have just moved back to Australia after living in France for a little while, and am looking for a quiet home where I can relax after work and study. I am warm, mature, close to my family, enjoy exercise, like to study (and watch trashy tv with a glass of red wine on occasion). I am clean and tidy, and love to cook.
Hello hello :-) I'm a friendly, tidy 29yo looking for a place to stay short-term in Melbourne. I've just come back from 7 months backpacking through South America, now I'm going back to the corporate life for a bit to save up for my next trip. I've got a 6-8 week contract at the Dept Health in Melbourne, which could turn into a longer-term thing or could not, so I'm looking for somewhere that will accept me for just two months to start. I cook and I clean (you should try my lemon chicken and baked feta), I love to talk and I'd much prefer a glass of wine over a game of scrabble than a party every weekend. I love to talk travel, current events, and food, and I love cycling. I'll be working a pretty standard 9-5 and I'm happy to hang out or do my own thing as the house goes. I'm deathly allergic to prawns so if they're on your menu every day that's not going to work for me, but other than that I'm open to any food preferences you've got, and any life styles. Gay and trans friendly, happy to live with kids if you've got them. Ideally I'd love a furnished place. I've got nearly all the things but would prefer not to have to transport them down from my Mum and Dad's in NSW. Happy to contribute any car-sized bits of furniture needed (TV, Wii, kitchenware, things...). I also need parking, though I'm fine with legal on-street parking. My job starts on Jan 30 (just confirmed!) so I'm hoping to move next week, or early the week after - I'll be staying with my sister in Brunswick East until then, but TBH I'm not so keen on sleeping on the floor for longer than I have to! Let me know if you'd like to chat - excited to meet you and start the next part of my adventure! Martina :-)
Hi my name is Nicole and I'm 25. I'm a recent Textile Design graduate who just got a full time job in Dandenong. I'm moving from Geelong so looking for somewhere near the city close to the M1 for easy travel to work. Looking to move early-mid Jan 2017. I'm clean and respectful and easy to get along with. I'm very active, love fitness and the outdoors. Love to explore, travel, and socialise with friends (whether that be out for drinks or movie nights in). Nicole :)
I'm a single female from Adelaide who will be moving to Melbourne in February to start a new role at work in the marketing team. I'll be working Monday to Friday in an office in South Melbourne, so I'm looking for somewhere inner-city for a short commute. I'm super friendly and easy going, I'll happily enjoy sitting down for a cuppa and a chat but also appreciate my own time and space. I do like to keep a relatively clean and tidy house within reason, and I appreciate housemates who do the same. I like to keep active by going for walks/bike rides and adventures, I love boutique coffee, fresh food, board games and baking :)
Im a 28 year old construction worker who has just come back from traveling overseas for the last 18 months, I would like to say I'm pretty easy going and love to have a laugh. One of my best traits is always seeing the best in any situation...my cooking isn't great but i still love to try anyway.
Hi! We are a couple who have been in the UK military for 7 years and 5 years. Decided to come traveling around Thailand and Australia and have done so for the last 2 months. Loved Melbourne and want to stay there and gain employment! We both are IT professionals and hope to start looking for work soon as we get back there. Easy going and tidy. We enjoy keeping fit and will always be at the gym. Looking for a place to get started or a place we can call home for the next year.
I'm a 22 year old, full-time gal who enjoys outdoor activities, reading and cooking. Always up for a cup of tea/glass of wine and a chat. I'm both outgoing and easygoing, and have lived in sharehouses before (so know the drill).
Hi, I'm a hard-working, passionate nurse moving to Melbourne to start a new job at the Royal Children's Hospital at the end of February. I love music, cooking and reading books. I'm also shy, introverted and extremely respectful of others peoples space. Looking for somewhere to live ideally short term until being able to find an apartment to rent close to work. My dream house mates would be creatives who love coffee, travel and chatting but aren't big party people. Ideally I would like to find a place to stay which is close to the hospital because I am a bit of a workaholic!
Third year undergrad at the university of melbourne. Originally from the south coast of NSW, I previously lived at st Hilda's college and Melbourne uni student village. I work part time retail whilst studying, and my spare time is spent hanging out with friends, eating good food and having a Bev or two. Pretty happy to do my own thing most of the time but always up for a chat, and hopefully become great friends with my future roomie to make our place a home. Ideally looking for another chick around the same age to join up and sign onto a lease for a two bedroom apartment, preferably with a balcony. Max 210 each per week. Early feb. If this sounds good to you, hit me up!
Hey guys, My name is Paulina. I'm 24 years old Polish, arrived to Melbourne 2 months ago. As my sublet is coming to an end with the end Of January I'm looking for another place to stay. What I'm seeking to is a private room in an existing sharehouse or creating a new one. My budget is max 180$ pw, but I can spend more if the place is really tempting. As I live in Thornbury, it would be awesome to stay in the area but the line Northcote, Brunswick East, Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond, Fitzroy are very welcome as well. I'd preferably share a space with people close to my age. I completed studies in Economics, here I'm working in hospitality. I'm super easy going, sociable, respectful of others space and I'd love to land in a positive household with more or less like minded people. I'm often out if not working but always keen to share a meal or grab a beer if such opportunity shows up. If it seems like we might get along well feel free to message me to go to further details and possibly set a meeting. :) Thanks!
I moving down to Melbourne in Feb to start Masters in Development Studies at Melb Uni. I've been living overseas for two years in South Africa & Nepal for work and just returned back down under. I like to think i'm a pretty chill roomie and share house trained. Clean, friendly and I go with the flow. I come with some great share house stories too. I'm a vego if that sways any votes but otherwise I don't really care what you eat. I'm love being active, especially love my weekend hikes and swims. I am looking for a great group of people to live with who are social and love having a beer after work and who can became good pals but with a nice balance of quiet time. I will be moving to Melbourne to start a new full time job in early February - but am looking to move at the end of January. I'm friendly, respectful and tidy. I also enjoy the occasional red wine with friends. I lead a relatively healthy and active lifestyle, currently loving barre! Would love to find a friendly household that are young professionals and ideally not a party house.
Hi potential housies, I'm looking at joining a social sharehouse around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area. I'm missing a backyard, as I love spending time outdoors, so would prefer that or a decent balcony. Off street parking would be a win but not a deal breaker. I've lived in sharehouses for a while now both in Perth (worked there for a couple years) and Melbourne. I'm sociable, clean and easy going and looking for housemates that are similar in that regard. I'm not looking to join a party house, but more than happy to share a chat, food or a drink or two. I love the outdoors and like to stay active - cycling mainly, but keen to get back into my fencing and get into climbing/bouldering. I also like exploring the local area - cafes, bars and restaurants. If you reckon I sound like a potential housemate please let me know. Cheers Yen-Sen
My name is Peter and I come from Slovenia, Europe. It is a small country so you might not have heard yet about it. I am 22 years old and will be spending one semester at Monash University as exchange student. I love sports. As a flatmate, I am sociable and outgoing, but I also need some time to study and sleep in peace.
I am a 27 year old social worker who works full time hours Monday to Friday as a Family Support Worker for an NGO. I was born and raised in Brunswick but I have lived in Moonee Ponds for the past 7 years so I know both areas very well. I also spend a lot of my spare time hanging out in Northcote. My job takes up most of my time as I also run support/education groups that I need to prepare for. When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking healthy meals and I'm always happy to share as I tend to make enough to feed an army! I also enjoy watching Netflix and going to the movies, eating out at local Mexican resturants and cafes, hanging out with my younger siblings, having a cheeky Vodka or wine, dancing and being outdoors and I like to try new things via laneway learning. Why live with me: I am a very organised person who will always pay my bills on time and clean up after myself. I like my alone time but also want a place I can feel comfortable to hang out in the communal spaces and have a chat or go for a drink with my housemates. I am quiet, although, I do like to blast my music when I clean but I am always conscious of other people in the house. I am looking for a place to call home long term. I also can come with furniture so let me know what you need and I'm sure I'll have it.
Hi everyone, I'm a Chinese girl who is going to study my Masters in Unimelb. I'd like to find a share room with females. I'm super clean and tidy, can get along with people who have different cultural backgrounds. Please contact me if you have availble room or you wanna team up via free message or email me . Thanks.
24 and working full-time in finance. I'm easygoing and enjoy spinning a few records or a frisbee sesh in the park. Typically spend weekends out and about with friends and having a boogie, but also enjoy some downtime on the couch watching sport or Netflix. I have plenty of rental history, am considerate of others and always do my bit to keep the home clean and tidy. I'd like to move in late January and would prefer a longer term arrangement of around a year (or more), but this is all flexible. Looking for like-minded, respectful and fun-loving housemates who won’t pass up the odd drink together. Get in touch if we seem like a good fit!
I'm very clean and respectful. I own a new T.V, fridge, washer and dryer. I love to laugh, to be positive, to share a meal, and be the best that I can be. I'm a third year student at Deakin and plan to teach at Uni upon graduation. I grew up in Croydon and went to Whitefriars College, and later went to Box Hill Senior Secondary. I like to listen to music, watch docos and comedy such as Curb your Enthusiasm, design and art. I also like to skateboard on occasion but have turned to fitness after hurting my hip. Therefore I'm now into swimming, walking, looking after myself.. and continuously growing as a person. My friends play music and I enjoy going to some gigs, and other friends are also into fashion, art etc. I like to read non-fiction and have am a key stakeholder in my self-education. Above all I love to be positive and to make those I meet feel loved whilst enjoying ourselves.
Hi! I'm from the UK and so is my boyfriend, Joe. We are really chill and easy going people. We love dogs, and I love cats too! We are currently here on a Working Holiday visa, and we are about to start the job hunt- We are both Baristas! We look forward to hearing from you!
Hey guys! A bit about me. I’m a messy, inconsiderate jerk who hates fun yet for some reason is constantly bringing the party home. Kidding! My name is Tom, I’m 19 from London, and was recently moved to Melbourne by my company. My hobbies include going gym, football or soccer as you call it, rugby, IT software & hardware, Ancient Greek & Roman history, binge watching tv shows and recently have found that coffee is amazing. I am a tidy person, however if there is ever a small mess it is kept to my own room. I enjoy a drink or two on the weekends, a good chat, but also enjoy a bit of me time. Send me a message if you want to know anything else about me!
We're two peas in a pod, will you be our three? haha kidding but seriously, we get along really well. We found each other on flatmates.com.au last year too and looking to find a 3 bedroom apartment or house so it's cheaper to live. Our daily life includes working full-time, the "occasional" 6am gym session (we try but we're also pretty lazy) we are trying to improve our cooking skills, we've come a long way since we first moved in! Cheese and wine is always good, netflix, instagram all the basic bitch stuff. We're retired party-goers but don't mind heading out every now and then. We love the idea of road trips but the weather doesn't seem to agree everytime we wanna go...... anyways if you'd like to meet up for a coffee/brunch/lunch/dinner/desserts/icecream/donuts or whichever please inbox :)
I just finished bachelor degree and will be studying in Design School of Melb Uni. I am a nature lover and an easy-going person. I enjoy exploring various cafes in search of the perfect coffee, cooking with fresh ingredients from the markets, spending time with friends or planning my next adventure overseas. I've previously lived in the Netherlands for a year as an exchange student. Had experience living in a student share house before. I enjoy learning about other cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. Looking for friendly and tidy flatmates and really looking forward to meeting new people in Melbourne :)

Very relaxed down to earth gal and always down for a laugh and hang outs but definitely understand the need for personal space. Looking to start my new adventure in Melbourne come Feb. Will be working full time as an airline hostess, I've heard we make pretty great house mates!
Hey potential future flatmate(s)! Looking for: private room in the inner suburbs, no pets as I'm allergic I am: Swedish, down to earth, full-time student For those who are more curious: I’m a 21 year old soon-to-be homeless Swede. I study Communication Design full-time at Billy Blue College of Design and I’m most likely going to start looking for a part-time job as well. It's just to get some extra money in addition to my income from Sweden. I'm currently in Sweden because I'm attending a wedding and I'm coming back to Melbourne January 19 so that's when I need a roof over my head. I have lovely friends to stay with for a while but I still need to find something asap. I used to rent a room in a flatshare in South Melbourne that I loved but now I'd like to try a new suburb! Preferably Fitzroy, Richmond, South Yarra, St Kilda, Prahran and surrounding. I love living with others but sometimes I need my privacy for studying so I'm looking for a private room. I need good tram/train/bus connections if it’s in a suburb further away. I prefer a furnished room as I don't really own anything except for an $9 work lamp from IKEA but I can compromise if it's the right place. As I mentioned before I'm allergic to pets so I don't want any furry things around me. I’m very easy going and down to earth. I like to go out for drinks or so on the weekends (depending on how much schoolwork I have) but I'll definitely not bring the party home it's not appropriate. I enjoy hanging out with friends, eating good food (brunch!!) or just staying in watching Netflix. I’d love to get to know my flatmate(s) and hang out but at the same time it’s really important for me to get my peace and quiet to study as I take my studies very seriously (too expensive for Swedes to not be serious about it haha). I like to keep the common areas relatively clean and tidy but I’m not too fussy about leaving the breakfast bowl in the sink or stuff like that. Will need some kind of space for potential crafty uni projects and if I don't have it in my room I'll make sure to clean up after myself. Do I sound like your new flatmate?! Hit me up! (Just not on my phone number because I'm in Sweden now)
Hi, I'm Marti, a recent graduate moving to Melbourne from Sydney to start full-time work in HR. I'm very friendly and easy going. I enjoy being social and going out but I also like to stay in and binge watch TV shows on Netflix. I eat all kinds of food and am keen to visit as many restaurants and bars as I can. I love art and culture and I'm interested in seeing what Melbourne has to offer Feel free to send me a message :)
I have an upright piano that comes with me. A hammock and stand to put on the verandah and I enjoy cheese, food, wine and good company. I like to experience life and make the most of every chance I get. I'm studying electrical engineering and working as a relief teacher. I can pay the bills (which is important... I once had a flatmate that could not... absolute disaster). I like animals, almost decided to be a vet (till I went on work experience). Not a big partier, but I do appreciate being around people. Would prefer not being strangers with my housemates and I'm looking for a place where I fit and is home. I spend my downtime travelling, camping and hiking with friends. I like to bake (didn't realize how much until I went on exchange to Vietnam where they have no ovens). Have just arrived back from Vietnam and need a place before end of feb. Would also really prefer an unfurnished bedroom :) Deal breakers: pot smokers, drugs and alcoholics. Probable deal breaker: smoking. Cheers Catherine
