I'm an outgoing, down to earth person. I'm very non-judgemental and happy to get to know others better. I studied graphic design, so I'm pretty artsy and love making things as well as an avid gardener. I also work in hospitality where I most often work nights (to about 10-11pm) 5 nights a week. I'm a pretty social person and love a chat, but I also spend a fair bit of time just kicking back alone, either works really well for me. I love going to gigs and having a beer with friends, and that probably happens about once a week, feel free to join! I'm respectful of all lifestyles, and am expectant of the same towards my lifestyle. I'm currently seeing someone, so I would be spending some nights a week at his house, and visa versa with them staying with me some nights. I also have my own fridge and freezer that I don't want to have to part ways with.
Hi my name is Lynda I'm 24 years of age I'm a freelance make up artist and Studied beauty therapy, I'm also a model :) I'm very bubbly and outgoing I'm neat and tidy and would love someone like minded I'm always down for a chat and a glass of wine but love my privacy aswell So I'm looking for a new place to settle and find a place to call home as for rent i get paid forghtnightly so it would be great to find a place and someone that excepts fortnightly or even monthly payments with bills included and furnished already other then that I would say I'm the easiest person to live and have a laugh with.
Work full time in the city on an IT helpdesk. Easy going guy who cleans up after himself.. Not a party animal, but I do enjoy a few drinks at the end of the work week and enjoy going out. Gaming takes up most of my spare time and is my biggest hobby, along with reading and watching movies/TV series'.
Looking for a new place to stay starting around mid-august. About me: French Canadian law student from McGill Uni. I’m responsible, organized, and respectful of people’s space. Having been a counsellor for a while, I don’t shy away from real talks and good connections. I also like to go out and dance from time to time. I have already settled into a social life here, so you don't have to take care of me, while I'm obviously interested in the house life! Oh, and I like biking and volleyball. Kind of household: I am quite sociable and I hope to spend some time with my new roommates. However, I kinda like/need my sleep and privacy, so I don’t think a busy or party house would be the best fit. Animals = sure. People around my age = yas. Quick witted spirits = damn right. Gardening extraordinaires = yes please. Hit me up!
Hello potential housemates, I am a very relaxed and easy going person, who is clean and tidy. After many years in hospitality I am well drilled in cleaning up as I go. Currently working at Aust Post. I have it set up so rent and bills are always paid on time. I enjoy people's company and also enjoy chilling out doing my own thing to. I keep my life interesting doing many different things eg. Improv acting, improv dancing, gym, yoga, just learn't how to scuba dive this year. Once I am settled into a new place I will reassess my bucket list! I have a big emphasis on eating healthily, I look after myself well and enjoy cooking. (Saying that, still enjoy beer, nice wine and night out.) I follow the Bombers in AFL, you can decide if that is good or bad! Looking to live with similarly relaxed, open, easy going people. I can communicate and connect with a broad range of people, ages, female or male. One of my philosophy's in life is to find and surround myself with good, genuine people, this I am pretty successful at. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Ben
Hi my name is Sara, 27 and have recently moved from Brisbane and currently staying with a family friend until i can find a place of my own. I am looking to rent out an unfurnished room as i have my own belongings, in the areas i have listed and nearby. i believe North of Melbourne if i am not mistaken. About me: I work full time Mon-Fri in North Melbourne for a tax accounting firm, I go to gym most nights straight after work. I am very easy going, love to have a chat but also respect everyones privacy as i expect in return :). I'm not being cliche when i say i am a clean and tidy person and clean up after myself as I even like to clean up midst cooking etc (saves me doing it later). I like to have an occasional wine on some weekends and yes unfortunately I am a smoker but very respectful around others in regards to this and coming from Brisbane where smoking is pretty much taboo, you will not have an issue regarding my filthy habit :) Usually I'm quite busy so might not be home most times. I also have a partner who would come over some nights a week and I go to his so I would like that flexibility for him to stay a couple of nights. Looking preferably for an ensuite/own bathroom and can be flexible on my rent budget but still happy to have a bedroom for my budget depending on the place/location. If you like what you see please contact me on here as i check regularly or contact me on my mobile if you would like to discuss further. Look forward to hearing from you. Sara
Hi guys, Thanks for checking out. Wonder if anyone are keen to house hunt with me or have a large room for rent? Both my housemate and I are renting and sharing a 2 BR unit for the past 7 yrs in reservoir. Love my room size but We were given notice to vacate the unit by 13/9/17 due to owner wants to renovate his property (tile the floors, renovate the bathroom, car garage, etc). My housemate has already secured accommodation to move in his sis's place while i'm still looking for a place. We have kept the unit about the same condition as when we moved in 7 yrs ago. So can say we are good tenants. About myself- 39 yrs old male (don't drink or smoke) Self employed working professional (mostly out working or just out) easy to get along type (easy to laugh) trying to find room size (4.47m x3.05m include BIR) to fit my furnitures so you know i don't throw them in the bin Basically just like everyone else. We do our own thing, pay our rent and bills on time. Current rent I pay - $160/w + share bills (wouldn't mind to pay a bit more for the right place). An ideal if you have just moved in a 2 BR empty house/unit. I can help chip in for the fridge, washing machine, sofa etc. Prefer to have a garage/car port or be able to park on driveway so i don't have to worry about my $1000 worth of stock in my car boot. (I fix computers onsite that means you get free computer service from me haha). Thanks
While looking for work and waiting to study Vet nursing I mostly spend my time volunteering at various animal organisations to further my knowledge. I guess I am a down to earth, open, honest person. I love to laugh, smile, read and sketch.. Im a bit of a geek when it comes to games, although I don't play as much anymore. Creating things is my hobby, whether its a planting something just to watch it grow or a painting some furniture, small or big I am always actively doing something. Im a bit of a klutz and air head at times *forgetful* but very adaptable. I love to see others happy and believe honesty is the best way when living with anyone. I like constructive criticism, to discuss, Im always looking to better myself. I love to get to know any person.. but I would like to live with people that I can maybe collaborate with. I have two cats, Elye and Monk, they are beautiful and pleasant to be around, the least pushy, most visibly appreciative cats.Funnily enough even people that don't usually like cats become fond of them, they're just so unique and random. Oh, I have a heap of furniture that is in storage. This huge double door fridge, a 1 door fridge probably suited for outdoors, an 8 seater beautiful oak table, bookshelves, a washing machine and a few other cute bits and bobs. It would be great to get them out but if they aren't needed its no biggie. As I mentioned, I love to get to know people but I also love it when people take the time to know me. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions :)
I'm doing a PhD in physics at the University of Melbourne. Australia is a very generous country so they decided to give me a salary/scholarship, which means that I can always pay my rent and bills in time, without having to rob any Woolies. In my spare time I like to do sports (running, swimming, yoga, soccer etc), annoy people around me playing my guitar, read books and travel as much as I can even if that just means going for on an adventure to the nearby pub. This is my 5th year living abroad in shared houses, before coming to Melbourne I lived in Ireland and Canada, so I am an international expert in the art of sharing a house. I value a lot the relationship with my housemates, so I'm looking for a bunch of people I can feel comfortable with, inside and outside the house, sharing dinners, drinks, lazy afternoons and any random moment life brings about. Luckily I also know how to respect others' privacy so I promise I won't follow you inside the bathroom. Living in a clean house is fundamental for me, so I hereby solemnly commit to put my efforts in keeping the place tidy and neat, and cleaning regularly.
Joel and I are a fun, musical and kind couple who would love to find a place to live for the next year or so. Joel is a Swedish citizen on a working holiday and I am an Australian citizen working and studying close to the city. We both love music and film, science and learning something new every day. Joel is quite the handyman with blacksmith, carpentry and allrounder skills and I am a brilliant cook and a sweet little singer. We would love to live in a house that enjoys music and having a glass of wine at the end of the day with stimulating conversation. We are both incredibly respectful, polite and quiet humans who value personal space and time and who clean up after themselves, every time. We like to go out and be active in the community, we like to see concerts and try new foods and explore the outdoors! All in all we are straight forward people who are pretty pleasant to live with!
I'm clean, and very quite. I do like to cook and generally prefer being outside exercising/hiking/walking etc. I do work pretty hard and I'm really not much of a party person. I prefer going out for dinner with friends or playing board games. I've just moved to Melbourne so I hope to explore a little. I've spent the last 6 years working overseas in international development so I've got some good stories. I do plan to travel a lot with work so I might be gone for up to 15 weeks of the year. I really would prefer to share with only one other person as I'm not super keen on sharing a bathroom between 3 or 4.
Hey hey. I’m Felix. I’ve been working at the University of Melbourne since I finished my studies there last year. I studied Psychology, which I am passionate about! I also love music, especially playing guitar, acoustic rock, jazz, pop, classical, it doesn’t matter. In my spare time I like to write songs, play jam sessions, record bands, and go to gigs. Open Studio in Northcote is one of my favorites. I’m most interested in starting a share house, because you can live with people you get along with, and you can really find some good places to live. A few years ago my friend and I found a place where I got two rooms. Anyways, I am looking for a one-year lease to begin with. Hit me up and we can talk/meet up. Have a good one!
I've been in Melbourne 4 months now and am looking for a place to call home. I am currently studying full time, and work most days i'm not at uni. Tidy, clean, quiet - but enjoy socializing.
Hello, I am an international student from Dubai. I enjoy cooking and mostly make my own meals. I do not drink or smoke. I study at Trinity College, University Of Melbourne. I usually stay on campus for most of the day. Super friendly. I love watching movies. Star Wars references are complimentary. I swear I'm funny.
Currently living in Bendigo but recently started working in the city and will be working in melbourne for at least the next 18 months (Government). I work shift work and will not be home most public holidays or weekends. A few of my hobbies include traveling, heading to the beach, camping/motorbike riding,SPORT, and the occasional drink at the local waterhole. Come summer you will find me on the lake wakeboarding most weekends that i get off (new housemate can obviously come and join in). Also don't mind occasionally just sitting back at home and catching up on anything netflix. I am a clean person who has lived with others in the past so i have a good idea of the unwritten rules needed to live with others. looking forward to meeting new people! 😊
I am a people person and I love a bit of community (that includes the TV show as well). I'm a muso, like to get around and explore the city and sneak in a few basketball games while I'm at it. I work full-time as a UX designer and I'd like to think I'm fairly clean and organized and hopefully, I'll be a good laugh too. Cheers!
Hey 🙂 I'm currently studying and working full time so you'll hardly see me 😭 I'm a very clean person, never leave a mess and I'll always contribute to whatever house duties there may be! I've got perfect rental history and work references! Please contact me by my email as I'm in Europe till Sunday (29/07/2017) after Sunday you should be able to contact me through my mobile. Also if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
We are a family relocating to Melbourne from Queensland in September and are looking for a place to set up while we get our new life here sorted. We are extremely flexible with our arrangements and are excellent tenants - pay the rent on time, clean, and keep to ourselves. Our 3 year old is well behaved and cosleeps with us, thus will not require her own bed so we are happy with a 1 bedroom/studio option but will require it furnished. As I say we are flexible in terms of where to stay (happy with a 45 min commute to CBD for my husband's work), how long...I would just like to arrange a place before we set off so we can arrive and be settled right away. I'm happy to answer any and all questions about us, please just ask!
Hi! I am a University of Melbourne student from Malaysia. I will be starting my first year of Bachelor of Science degree on the 24th of July. However I will be arriving Melbourne before the 24th and would like to move in a place as soon as possible. I find it lowkey weird that I am about to say all these nice things about myself but here you go. Firstly, I feel like I adapt very well to the environment I am in. If my flatmates are chatty I'm always down for a chat but, if they are quiet I'll most probably be quiet too. Next, I would say that my tidiness level is above average. I will always clean after myself (the kitchen, bathroom, living space, etc.). Therefore, I'd prefer to live in a clean and neat place. However, I can't ever see myself ever starting an argument over a tiny mess. Lastly, but most importantly, I am very open minded. I do not tolerate ignorance and any kind of hate towards any group of people. If you would like to know anything more about how I am as a flatmate, feel free to message me! Cheers!
Hi everyone, I am Philipp from Germany and I am looking for a room in a shared flat. Currently, I study at Melbourne University until July 2018. I'm a tidy, easy-going, open-minded, responsible and reasonable person who has experience with sharing a flat in Germany. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Philipp
I'm an international undergraduate student, on my last semester at UniMelb. I have been sharing a flat with others the past 2 years so I am very experienced, responsible and tidy around the house. I always pay rent and bills on time. I'm also social but polite and not too loud, I respect other people's privacy - because I understand I also need privacy. I don't smoke and party. I'll usually be out during the days either working or studying, and be home at nights binge watching on my laptop. I love to explore yummy food, visit markets/popups, and go to concerts :)
# Rental bio Hi ! I’m Chen. I saw your rental vacancy and am eager to inspect. 24 // Male //Perth born and raised //Sri Lankan Tamil ethnicity I can move in now or as late as August 31. I rocked up to Melbourne wide-eyed on July 24 but am currently rotting on my sister’s couch. I moved over here to study and so far I’m keeping my head down - mostly to avoid glimpsing my sis and her bf touch each other excessively. I’m technically here to complete a Master of Journalism, however a larger inspiration for the move was to get out of the inertia and monotony of my hometown. I fell in love with big cities and cultural epicentres after a recent trip to Toronto and NYC. My interests include psychology (which I have a bachelors in), hip hop, cinema, egg noodle soup, inhaling art and exhaling journal entries. I used to live with three friends from high school. We enjoyed drunken dancing, discussing Kendrick Lamar’s Damn and going through the BBC’s critics poll for the 100 greatest films of the 21st century. I’m clean and minimalist. I want to make the most of my time here - to meet diverse characters, have intoxicating conversation, inhabit new perspectives and be inspired by sublime views. If you think I’m a good fit, let me know. I’m keen to inspect. Cheers, Chen
I'm a final year student working part-time who's looking for a place to stay now that I've come back from exchange. During the week I will be pretty busy, but am always happy to have a chat/grab a coffee when free. I like to cook (mostly vegetarian, but I don't have a problem sharing a kitchen with people who aren't), binge-read and make travel plans I can't afford. I do have previous rental experience, and having lived in share-housing since my early teens, I can confidently say that I make a quiet, clean, drama-free housemate. Looking for a tidy property that's not a party house and preferably also non-smoking. I love animals, so if you have a pet/s that won't bother me in the least :)
