Hello there future housemate(s), I’m Sanjit, a 22-year-old student who’s looking to move to Melbourne from Brisbane in order to pursue my Master’s degree in Food science at the University of Melbourne. I’m very reliable with rent and other bills (can provide references of previous housemates). I’ve lived in many share houses before so I know the drill! I’m hygienic and tidy and always clean the dishes after cooking (Such a legend)! I’m very chilled out and laid-back (so much so that I’m almost horizontal) and hope to find similar housemates I’m a very sociable person, love going out for food, drinks, movies and would love to find a chilled out place to call home. I also respect everyone’s privacy and will not be constantly pestering you haha. Since I’ll be starting with my Master’s degree, I’ll be pretty busy during the weekdays at Uni but I’m always keen to chill on the weekends I love watching and playing soccer! (GO Manchester united!) I enjoy scuba diving, longboarding and am now looking into indoor/outdoor rock climbing. I’m an avid music listener! Love rap, hip hop (artists such as Kendrick lamar, Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, The underachievers, Joey badass, J cole etc), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, The beatles, Jefferson airplane, Creedence Clearwater revival, The rolling stones, Eric Clapton, Queen etc), Electronic (Flume, Nicholas jaar, Odesza, Pretty lights, Eric prydz, Bassnectar etc) and sometimes when I’m feeling classy, I’ll hit up some Wolfgang Mozart (what a ridiculously cool name) or Bach. So if you love music, I’m sure we will get along!! Also, I have a pair of headphones so you don’t have to worry about me blasting loud music Also down to binge watch movies and tv shows. So, if you think we’d get along, hit me up!! Feel free to ask me any questions I’m currently travelling overseas and will be arriving in Melbourne around the 15th of February. So please contact me via the messaging service of this website and not by mobile until I'm back in AUS
Easy going, neat and tidy. Not a party animal, so minimal noise in house. Good with pets.
Hey, I'm Ali. I am a 22 year old student moving from Sydney to melbourne to complete my architecture masters. I love spending my spare time eating good food or going to the beach!
26 years old Latin American guy from Venezuela. Civil Engineer working in the construction industry. Always on for a good chat with a beer. Looking for a place with good flatmates to hang out and make a good relation.
I am new to Melbourne. Moved here from Sydney for a job. I have always made great friends with all my housemates. Can provide their references if you like. Whats best about me: 1) I am a clean freak and will help you keep the house clean. 2) I am friendly, talkative but enjoy my quite time and respect others space. 3) I occasionally cook (due to demanding career) and would love to cook for my future housemate(s) PS: I am looking for something that is either walking or tram stop away from Melbourne University (I work in the uni) If that hasn't convinced you just call me for a chat. Bye and happy house hunting
Hi! I'm Caitlyn, I am a 21 year old Canadian traveller and I'm looking for accommodation in Melbourne, VIC. I'll be working full time for the last few months of my visa. I'm very clean and organized and I tend to keep to myself but I'm very friendly and easy going. I'm not big on partying but I enjoy a glass (or 2) of wine once in a while. I'm looking for a room for myself in a place with some friendly humans!
Hey guys, my name is Jordan. I am currently living in Perth, Western Australia & am relocating to Melbourne at the end of March. I am only 18 years of age, however I want to challenge myself in a new city, meet new people & live my life. I recently deferred from The University of Western Australia to do so. I love cooking at home ( eating out is good too) , travelling , meeting new people & am passionate about fashion! PM me if you think we can get along :) xx love J
I'm a 25 year old artist/musician living in Melbourne. I work in a toy shop to pay the bills. I'm easy going and love to have a good time, whether that be going out to see a gig or staying home just kicking it with friends.
I am a very happy person, I like to be social and talk but can also be quiet and keep to myself. I can be very busy sometimes it varies on my work and study. I like to keep clean and tidy I don't mind shared responsibilities. Very respectful and Love animals if any.
I'm easy going, tidy and very respectful. I'm very sociable and I like my private space. After 5 years in Perth, I'm moving to Melbourne by the end of February. So I'll be new to the city and looking to share a place with some cool people.
I have recently moved back to Melbourne after working non-stop for the past few months, and am looking for a sharehouse in Melb. I spent 8 months here last year payin between $600-$1200 per week for serviced accomodation, so am looking at something different this year to enjoy financial freedom. I would love an apartment building that has a gym, and pool/tennis court as I love swimming and tennis. Alternatively, somewhere with a beach would be great too. I always clean up after myself straight after using the kitchen, and am friendly and easy going. I am starting my second university degree in March after completing my bachelor of accounting already.
Hey I'm Kat, 19 and currently looking for some where to live. I work full time in retail so I'm not home majority of the day, but on my days off i usually sleep in and relax. I enjoy the odd dinner every now and again, i am a very sociable person and easy to get along with. I don't smoke. I am respectful of peoples belongings and personal space. For the next 6 months-1 year i will be needing a place to stay until I am ready to get my own place. If you'd like to know more feel free to message me! xx
My name is Nicola. I'm currently looking for a place to live as my lease is expiring in the upcoming months. I'm a laid back easy going person. I work as a nurse full time with rotating shifts and like to get out and be social when I can. Looking for a relaxed place to call home with easy going people who also like living in a clean, respectful house. Love my downtime but would be great to live with other house mates who are up for a chat or hanging out over drinks every now and again.
Hi! I'm open minded and relaxed. Live and let live I say. You do you, I'll do me. I'm quite clean and a good cook when my budget allows. I've just finished a film and television degree at the VCA. The goal is to be a film maker. Most of my time is dedicated to this end. I like to keep to myself though will occasionally like to have a few friends over. I'm also not adverse to meeting and interacting with new people/ having strange people about. I've got a ferret which has made finding accommodation in the city a bit difficult. She mostly lives in her cage or my room. Her name is Lyra and she is very well behaved. She doesn't scratch walls or tear up carpet so aside from knocking over the odd glass she's quite harmless. She's also good with dogs (Knows to be wary of them) and gets on quite well with cats. She's a bit smelly but I spray her with a flowery coat deodorant to keep it under control. She sleeps about 20 hours out of the day so you normally don't even notice she's there. (We have that in common. hah!). If you have a spare and room and open to having a ferret around please message me because you are quite rare!
Hi guys! We are two Spanish girls from Colombia and Spain that need a new place to call home due to lease ending. We both are 24 y/o students working part-time as well. We consider ourselves open minded, easygoing and we really enjoy sharing time and space with our housemates! We can also cook you some traditional Spanish dishes :) We're able to move ASAP and at last before 7th February. We have a budget of $200 pw but we are willing to pay more for a really cool place. Preferably looking for furnished rooms but it's not a problem for us if they aren't. So if you have 2 single rooms or a one that can be shared don't hesitate to contact us ;) Thank you in advance!
Hi! ***Looking to move on the 20th of march*** Full time student from Argentina, doing a master of engineering at unimelb. I would like to share a house or apartment with likeminded people who are positive, friendly and enjoy each other's company. You won't have to worry about keeping the place clean and tidy. I suck at playing musical instruments, so I won't be making loud noises either. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have.
I'm Native Spanish speaker super easygoing clean, tidy and responsable with housework. No discrimination at all, pet friendly. Although, I'm not a smoker I don't have any problem about it, Enjoy share a meal, wine or beer every now and then, as well as hanging out or go for a party o just few drinks. Very good dancer specially at salsa and Latin rhythms 😏, so I'll be open for teaching either Spanish or a few salsa steps.✌️
I'm Kelly, I'm looking for a place that's close to public transport as I have Multiple Sclerosis (this explains "retired"). I pay my bills on time and clean and respectful of others. I can also come with a large fridge and/or front loader washer if it's needed. I'm a qualified hairdresser, love gardening and indoor plants, crafts, comics, gaming, and make a great granola. I love going to gigs but marathoning a series is not something I'm inexperienced in. Give me a bell if you are interested in me being your new housie, or want some more information.
Reluctantly moving as the owners are selling current place. Final year Media Comms major and work music/ hospo/ freelance on the side. Financially stable, into films, botany, good music, food, culture etc. Mostly busy and have my own things going on but I also enjoy having downtime with housemates/ having mates over to share food & vibes. I go interstate a few times a year sometimes for work/ to unwind/ suss gigs/ visit friends and fam. No stranger to share housing and would ideally like to live with like-minded people!
Respectful of others privacy, but I never say no to a nice cold beer with a friend! Full time job in deer park, engineer. I like to travel and practice all sorts of sports.
Apologies, we don't have a nicer photo of the two of us haha. We are an Australian/French couple both 24 years old looking for our new home. We are looking for somewhere close or in the city (South Yarra, Carlton, North Melbs, that sorta distance) and near a train station. We're super chilled and love making good dinners with a few drinks and laughs to accompany. Travel is our number one favorite thing to do but for now we have chosen to settle in Melbourne for a while until our next adventure. If you have a nice big room available for us that would be awesome, must be clean as we are very clean people. We also are open minded and love all peopl. Shoot us a message asap as we are looking to move now. Thanks 😎
I am studying a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne. I like meeting new people and doing anything adventurous. Preferably I would like to live with other layed back friendly people, such as myself. I like to keep active and I also appreciate some time alone.
Hi, My name is Lindsay Scammell and I am a 21 (this year) year old, university student studying my second year of a double Bachelor of Applied Public Health/Global Studies at ACU. I love getting to know new people and hanging out with friends but value my own time as well. I am a generally easy going housemate, although I do like things being pretty clean and everyone doing their part and I love to cook! My hobbies include reading, gymming, playing and making music, writing, video games and talking all things Star Wars. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi hi, My name is Ash, I work full-time in the city, and am also a freelance graphic designer. Looking for a house for the long-term. I am very well house trained, appreciate a clean and tidy environment - love cooking and socialising but certainly appreciate chill time too. I come with two for the price of one - the second being my cat Willow. She is super placid, affectionate and just a overall big sook - and is wildly independent and low maintenance. Send me a message if you'd like to meet. Cheers, Ash
Hey! My name is Melita, I'm 22 years old and about to move down to study composing at the University of Melbourne. I am essentially the aloe vera plant of housemates - zero drama. So if you're looking for someone who pays the bills on time but is also a good ear and a solid friend, swing me a message. I love: writing music for film, going to gigs, steamed pork buns, playing guitar, getting lost in books, cheeky beers, new stationary, earl grey tea, midnight maccas runs, people who are unapologetically themselves. (Don't worry I write music electronically, so you won't have to listen to my B grade piano playing haha). Not too fussed about: country music. I'm looking for a homely, relaxed place to live and make some quality friends, so if you think I'd suit your vibe, please let me know ;)
My name’s Matt and I’m from Toronto, Canada, and am in Melbourne on a working holiday. I’m a 24-year-old writer who has worked this past year in communications at a nonprofit, and will be writing part-time remotely in Australia. I spend my days off exploring Melbourne, especially the arts scene here, whether it be live music, comedy, theatre etc. I’m a clean, considerate and easy-going roommate and love meeting new people. I’m no party-head, but definitely like to go out and am open to different events/experiences. I’m also a passionate drummer, having studied and played music in multiple styles and projects over the last few years. During my stay in Melbourne, I want to connect with like-minded musicians, get a busking license, and perform as much as I can! I love the outdoors and enjoy being spontaneous as much as I enjoy making detailed plans. That’s a little about me! I can commit to a five-month minimum stay (until end of June, or later). - Matt
Hi everyone, This is Ali. I teach International Business at RMIT University and also do research. During the last 7 years, I've been living in various share houses with people coming from different backgrounds among different ages and I'm familiar with sharehouse lifestyle. I do exercise regularly, it's been a while I do yoga, Tai Chi, walking and also swimming. I do like cooking and prefer to cook at home and would be happy to share a weekly meal with my future housemates. I prefer to live with people who care about keeping the place clean and I'm happpy to do so. I'm not only looking for a bedroom but also for people who like to communicate in their free time. Please contact me if you think we can get along.

Hey all!! I am a 25 year old Spanish girl looking for a nice place to stay in Melbourne during the next 3, potencially 6, months. I am an easy going person, always full of energy and keen to try new things. I am biologist, so an absolute lover of animals and nature, so if you have pets in your house I will love them! ( but if is not the case no worries, I dont pretend to take any animal into the house). Independent but also very social, I love reading, movies and sharing time with my housemates but also any activity outdoors. As I always say, best impressions are the face to face ones. So if you really want to know me lets meet in person! :)
I am a sociable guy love to laugh and make others laugh. I am very clean and love to collaborate in home works. I love pets, bbq, chilling out. I respect people's privacy and look for people on my side.
My mother has 9 siblings and I grew up in the house of my grandparents. I balance to enjoy the time with other people and appreciate the solitude. I love to cook Central Asian or European meals and share the supper with my housemates from time to time.
Hi potential flatmates! We're an American-Australian couple that's just moved to Melbourne, looking for some place to live, house or apartment. One of us is a primary school teacher and the other is about to start a master's in urban planning at Melbourne Uni. We like wine and foods and Netflix, and now that I've said that I realize we're actually quite basic. Yay! But seriously, one of us really likes to cook and has dreams of starting a vegetable garden that will mean fewer trips to Coles for their surprisingly cheap produce. We're hoping for somewhere with good access to public transport, maybe some outdoor space, character, lighting, preferably a car space. Hit us up if you'd like to look at some places together and navigate this shitty maze that is nailing down a residence in Melbs OR especially if you already have a place that might be what we're looking for.
Hey Future Flatmates! I'll be moving to Melbourne from Brisbane in early February to start University! I am looking for some people to hook up with and get our own place, or nestle into an established home. I have had some pretty dire accomodation circumstances since returning from India in November. So I am looking for somewhere I can relax, spread out and share my time and space with hopefully new friends! I don't have a solid move/fly date to Melbourne, just saving as much as possible. I'll be looking for some casual or part time work before I arrive. i have bond and rent in advance ready to go though! If you want to chat please call me before 11am or after 8pm, otherwise message. Look forward to hearing from you !!
I'm an international student at the University of Melbourne. I'm looking for a temporary stay (2 weeks). Something close to CBD would be convenient or the University would be convenient for me. I'm quiet and pretty helpful! (Please text me as I will probably be unable to attend calls due to time zone differences!)
Hello possible roomie, my name is Petra and I've just moved to Melbourne and looking for a place to share. I will be working full time and studying part-time as a special effects makeup artist so come Halloween time, I am your go to girl 👻 I'm very friendly and easy going. I love interacting and socialising with other people but don't get me wrong because I do love me some quiet time too. I am very respectful and considerate of others and I can keep a place clean, promise. Cooking is a hit and miss 😅 Looking for a like minded roommate/s who likes to chill out and have a few drinks but also appreciates personal downtime. Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more :) Petra ☺️
Hey i'm a non-judgy, geeky chill gamer (mainly dota) who works consistent casual hours in the cbd in a position i've had for several years. I'm relaxedly looking to move back into Admin work, but fine to keep going in my current job too. Either way, I have savings, so wont be short for rent. I cook healthy, do my part, respect privacy, know how to house-share, and keep messes to my own room. I'm not religious, but tolerant and respectful of others views. I've been living with a pack of 20-25yo dudes for the last 3 years, and with a lovely 27yo vietnamese homeowner girl for a few years before that. I get along with all sorts. I don't smoke (don't mind at all if you're a 420 fan), rarely drink lots. I'm not overly princessy and am flexi with kitchen/bathroom use times. I frequently spend time quietly in my own space; gaming, drawing digitally, reading, but am happily sociable and easy to lure out for a cuppa or a beer. I occasionally like to get crafty, and adore making geeky costumes now and then - love halloween, PAX or other occasion to dress up (as you'll see on insta). I'd like laid back housemates with integrity, independent but friendly, in a comfortable, secure household. I don't need a large room, though reliable Internet is a must! Commute wise: Ideally within 30mins to the cbd via train/tram. Geeks would be cool? <3 Non geeks are fine too! Housemate/s okay with me having my boyfriend sometimes hang out/stayover would be fantastic, as he lives over an hour away~ we are very conscious of not overwhelming shared quarters. Honestly your gender, age, ethnicity, sexual preferences etc. are not an issue to me. But please don't have a carpet of human hair, scary exposed wires near the sink or casual homeless squatters like that one apartment that one time.. lol Check my social media verifications below, (sorry im a bit of a goof on twitter.. hah)
I'm 23 and I've just moved here from the UK. I'm easy going and can get on with anyone, up for getting involved in meals/ chats/ wine but I am happy with my own company.. whatever the vibe is! I'm clean and tidy and won't hog the bathroom and I'm respectful of where I live. I love travelling, cooking/ eating and having a few drinks! I lovegoing out for meals so being close to some great restaurants is pretty important and perhaps a bar or two! I'm keen to get a bike while I'm here, and like hiking and swimming. I like to attempt a bit of gardening or just trying to successfully grow a basil plant or something! I have a dog and a cat back at home so I wouldn't mind living with them here too! I did a degree in Biology before I came out here but for the moment I am loving travelling so I'm not ready to commit to the 9-5! However I'm looking to settle in Melbourne for at least 6 months so want to find somewhere to call home!
I like to share life experiences and chat with others. I am a very easy going Catalan guy, enjoy cooking, and do any kind of sport. I always keep home tidy and consider myself to be a reliable person. After several years working in the industry I studied biology, which I am now seeking for a job position. By this time, I am traveling to Melbourne for improving my English language skills. As a new citizen in Melbourne, I would love to go out and get to know the best of the city and its surroundings. I am also looking forward to get a bike for moving around in the city. I am moving in from 1st February on, and a small room is okay as long it is well situated and there is a good atmosphere with flatmates. I always pay on time and have no problems with keeping the agreements with the renders. All the best,
Considerate, reliable, friendly, tidy, honest
Hey there, I'm Pema (pronounced Pemma) and I'm about to study a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and am moving down from Queensland because I absolutely love Melbourne and cannot wait to live there! I'm 18 and incredibly mature and easy going, love my alone time but also always up for a good chat and love getting to know people. I love music and musicals and play the piano, love going out to the theatre but also love staying in and watching too much Netflix than is healthy. I love to write and read, photograph almost everything, am very into politics and current affairs, shopping, technology and design. My dad is a chef and I can cook some stuff... but hoping to learn a lot more soon.
Hello! I'm Maddie and I'm currently an design student at RMIT I'm a considerate roommate, I like to keep the shared spaces tidy and clean. While I love being friendly and learning about new people I do respect and enjoy personal space! You can find me listening to music, reading, drawing or painting cartoons. I also enjoy cooking for myself and would love to share a meal with you sometime! Don't be afraid to send me a text whenever, Thanks!
I am a full-time Registered Nurse so I can pay my rent on time. I am a laid back person, easygoing, friendly, and best of all, respectful of other's personal space. I am into fitness and music production as a hobby hence I am a very sociable person.
Hey my name's Lorinda and I'm originally from the Mornington Peninsula and am studying my masters at Melbourne uni so I'm looking for a place nearby. I'm fairly easy-going and enjoy being around people but am not looking for a party house as my studies are important to me. I also enjoy fitness, healthy eating, golf, the beach, gardening and music. I don't have any pets and don't smoke. I also do have a car, so would ideally would be looking for off-street parking. Cheers xx
My housemates are moving overseas, so I'm in search for a new place to call home. I'm pretty busy with my full-time job and enjoy my downtime during the week, but am out on the weekends in the sun, going to festivals, and making the most of the Mercat while it's still around. I'm respectful of others and like to maintain a tidy home, and would like to find like-minded housemates who are also keen to have the occasional dinner and (maybe more than occasional) drink. Get in touch if we seem like a good fit!
Hi, I'm Llewellyn (or Lewy for short). I'm Australian, currently sharing a place in Carlton, but feel like a change to somewhere with a little more space a couple less people. Still wanting to be very close to the CBD for work. Mainly looking within the 1st ring of suburbs surrounding the CBD. I work in Audio/Visual for the events industry - most often in Docklands and do some freelance work as a Sound Recordist with projects for TV, Film or the Web. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, listening to music (fan of Ska, but haven't been to any gigs in ages), walking (and combinations of these, though usually not cooking and walking). Also, catching up on all the awesome TV shows I watch. Fond of card games (almost always have a deck of playing cards with me. Excellent ice breaker), board games, video games, etc. Would love to be living with other creatives (for shared passion reasons), events/hospitality/shift workers (for similarity of work lifestyle) and/or fans of relaxing at home with some good TV. I'd say mainly looking for teamups, so we're sharing the adventure of a new place, but happy to come across a good offer from someone already situated.
Hi there, my name is Rachel and I am currently looking for a place around the city of Melbourne and inner suburbs for my boyfriend and I. I am a current student studying Architecture at The University of Melbourne, while my boyfriend, Ravine, is currently working full time at The Hilton. We are looking for a share house to share with a nice group of people that enjoy hanging out but also enjoy their own 'me' time. Here is a little bit more about us: Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a full time student studying architecture. I have lived in Melbourne for only a year but in that short time have completely fallen in love with the city! I enjoy spending most of my time out around exploring the city and going to markets, festivals, live shows and art shows. Hi, my name is Ravine, I'm 21, currently working as a part of the Hilton brand. I'm energetic and love to race BMX, I also enjoy reading and a good games night, whether it's MarioKart or Monopoly it doesn't matter to me. I am a social butterfly who gets along well with a variety of people, and always happy to help out around the place!
Hi there, I'm a student, aged 20, in my third year of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne in Politics and Philosophy. I currently work full-time, and will go part-time over semester to ensure I can pay the rent! I've been living in a sharehouse for the last year and a half, and looking to move somewhere that is a bit more spacious near the city and the University. I would prefer somewhere already furnished, but I'm flexible on this point. I'm generally pretty laid back and happy to be as social or as private as my housemates prefer. Not a huge party fan and will check with housemates before inviting people over. I spend a lot of my time working or studying, but happy to kick back with a drink when I get a break. If I sound like a good fit for your house, shoot me a message. Thanks, Corey
Hey there! I'm a travel writer/photographer from California, refugee of Trump's America. Kidding, but not really you know? Last year I lived in Melbourne for 6 months, now back working full-time at a cafe in Brunswick (I bring home muffins and croissants almost everyday!). I'm easy going and quite chilled out. I enjoy frequent adventures, hiking, rock climbing - anything outdoors will do. Not someone who likes to party party, but do enjoy the occasional pint or two. Just looking to live with other like minded humans who enjoy a good chat, but are also respectful of a "me day". Flexible on move in date, but something by Feb 1st would be golden. Look forward to meeting you! Cheers :) Ps. LGBT friendly please - as I am a G
Bubbly, friendly, clean and easy to get along with. I love to travel and socialise. I'll be beginning my year of study towards mid February and will require a flat/apartment to move into. Would be fantastic to meet other people and share, team up etc. No party houses, simply just a nice nook for me to study in and the occasional chat. Cheers. (Y)
What makes me great to live with would be that I'm experienced in living in share accommodation, even though I am only 18 years old. I have lived in a boarding house with 40 other girls, where I have learnt to take responsibility for my own cleaning, washing and food prep. I am fun and energetic, but quite relaxed also! I’m going into my first year of university at RMIT studying Engineering and I’m moving up from country Victoria! I already have a job lined up as a VFL Umpire, so I shouldn't have a worry with paying the bills! I love to cook and clean, I’m a neat and tidy person, and I do enjoy laundry, even others! I don't own any pets nor do I smoke, but I can live with those who do! (I really love dogs!!!!) PS. Move date is unknown for now, but around the time suggested!
