I am easygoing and friendly, relatively clean and trying to live a healthier life. I am a phd student at the University of Melbourne and I am looking for a place to stay from the middle of February. I am a little reserved until I get comfortable with people and I like to laugh and learn! I am Nigerian, female, been in Melbourne since 2015 and I would like the idea of a place to call home with flatmates who are more like friends or family.
Hello possible roomie, my name is Petra and I've just moved to Melbourne and looking for a place to share. I will be working full time and studying part-time as a special effects makeup artist so come Halloween time, I am your go to girl 👻 I'm very friendly and easy going. I love interacting and socialising with other people but don't get me wrong because I do love me some quiet time too. I am very respectful and considerate of others and I can keep a place clean, promise. Cooking is a hit and miss 😅 Looking for a like minded roommate/s who likes to chill out and have a few drinks but also appreciates personal downtime. Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more :) Petra ☺️
My name is Ana and I am a student moving from the Gold Coast, planning to study at RMIT. I enjoy reading, binge watching TV shows, cooking and I realise how unoriginal that is. Would love to be friends with the people I am living with. I have a talent for telling general stories in a funny way and don't know the city that well so will probably ask you for directions and things to do on the weekend.
I am a full time student, who spends a lot of time studying. I would like to live in a nice relaxing environment where I can spend some of my down time after a long day at uni. I am friendly, clean and respectful of others.
Hello, everyone, I'm looking for a place to stay for 6 months to 12 months lease. Recently I just graduated from Melbourne University majoring in marketing and management so at the moment I'm just applying for visa and jobs. As students I've been living with roommates plenty of time with that being said I have two years experience living with other people and so far I receive no complaint so you can count on me to be good roomie ;). My name is Maudy and I'm currently working part-time before the semester starts, I'm pretty chill and friendly. On the personal level, I'm very social, but I also respect personal space so depending on your situation I can adjust pretty well. I can crack up some jokes to cheer you up after a hard day at work also I'm an excellent cook, so you'll go home for a good meal every day. If you're interested in having me as your roommate please contact me through my email. Looking forward hear from you soon ;)
Two 26 year old British creative designers just landed to live and work full time in Melbourne. Looking for two separate rooms in a share house or renting a whole two bedroom property. We share similar interests: photography, creating short films, healthy lifestyle, entrepreneurship, gym, yoga, philosophy, vegetarian, creating electronic music (with headphones don't worry), travel, graphic design and generally always keen to have a few beers and discuss how wildly novel it is to be alive and exploring this planet. So, drop me a message to discuss.
I am starting full time work as a judge's associate in early February 2017. I like travel, cooking (still learning), cycling, reading and boardgames - especially with a cold beer. Work keeps me pretty busy, but I'm always up for a chat and doing things. My budget is approximately $200 per week plus bills. While I currently live at home, I am house trained having lived in a share house while on exchange in the UK. I'm looking to join a social and friendly household that appreciates the fact that life is (unfortunately) not just a party.
I'm a 33 year old masters student at RMIT, working part time at Melbourne Uni Asia Institute. I also teach tai chi, when i have students, I am getting into boxing this year. I like cycling and bushwalking, and I am torn between hardcore and post-hardcore punk. I like John Banville and I can play the piano. When it's my turn to clean, I clean like a pro. Non-smoker, meat eater, social drinker. I have conversational-level Japanese; I used to work there. I am basically a damn chill flatmate.
Grandma always said I was an adorable little dumpling. What she really meant was that I am sociable, open minded, keeps to myself, easy-going, and not very adorable. This little dumpling is also smoke, party, and mess free. I have poor taste in modern art and a connoisseur of fine liquor. I have 3 words of Australian slang in my vocabulary and only 1 of them can be used for insults.
Hi! I'm Grace, I'm a 22 year old graphic designer currently working full time. I'm also a comic illustrator and I have a tiny cat daughter called Bruce (props if you can guess who she's named after). She's clean, chilled out, loves a cuddle and has an innate ability to fall asleep on any surface. I am looking for a place in the inner northern suburbs (Fitzroy, Parkville, Collingwood, Abbottsford, Carlton, Brunswick, Northcote) that isn't any further out as I do need to get public transport to the eastern suburbs for work. I also need a place that allows pets and has a private room. I'm pretty busy and spend most of my free time working on my art, being a huge dork (Star Wars and Game of Thrones mainly) or going to gigs. I love the occasional beer with housemates when we're both home. I don't eat meat or smoke (but don't mind if you do) and I clean up after myself but am not the kind of person to leave a passive aggressive note if there's toast crumbs on the kitchen bench. Also LGBTQIA+ friendly and a big fan of intersectional feminism/not being a dickhead. If you reckon we'd be a good fit please shoot me a message! Cheers
My name is Sophie, 25, from the UK. Looking for accommodation in Melbourne. I'm a happy, very tidy, clean respectful, reliable individual. I'm very easy to get along with and have a chat with and would make a great house mate :)!.
Hey! My name is Lauren and I am friendly, easy going and clean. I will be in my third year studying business full-time at RMIT and working part-time. I have lived in shared accommodation for the past three years so I know how communal living works. I enjoy having a chat and sharing a meal or a few drinks with my housemates but also respect people's personal space. In my free time I like to catch up with friends, go to markets, art galleries, the beach, yoga, see live music, try out new bars or places for coffee/brunch and binge watch shows on Netflix. Able to move in anytime from 4th of Feb. Please send me a message if you have a spare room or are looking to teamup!
Im from Chile and I just arrived to Melbourne, looking for new housemates and new experiences. I've share a house with 2 people and it was very easy. Im tiddy, responsible and hardworker.
I am quiet, respectful and considerate. Have plenty of experience sharing living spaces. I am looking after a quiet household and prefer living with one female only. The reason I am moving to Melbourne is that I will start a two year intensive training program in public health (I will be consumed by work and will also be overseas often). I am a vegetarian and an animal lover and would like to live somewhere were dogs/cats are present. I am also interested in a granny flat or other self contained space. Please contact me if you think you would like to share your home with me. I will arrive in Melbourne on 10th of March.
I am 26 yo, male, Indonesian and I enjoy music, photography and sports during my leisure time. I am going to move to Melbourne by February for my postgraduate study in the Melbourne University. So i am looking for a property around the campus. Kindly do let me know if you have an available property around. Many thanks in advance!
Hi! My name's Henry, I'm 19, and I'm moving down from Canberra to study Linguistics at Uni of Melb. I'm a creative person, I love making clothes, art, and movies. I am pretty tidy but I'm not too fussed about it. I like to party, but I feel just as much in my element drinking tea and doing craft with friends.
My name's Blake, I'm a 20 year old student currently studying the Art side of Video Games at an institution called AIE which is in the World Trade Centre near Southern Cross Station. I'm studying full-time and will be at University from 9 AM - 5 PM on weekdays. I have furnishings to fill my own room as well as potentially extra things for the lounge room / common area. I've been living in Melbourne for the past two years, I'm originally from East Gippsland about four hours out of Melbourne so I'm used to living with other people and I am as tidy and considerate as possible. I'm currently struggling with the horrid place known as Centrelink but I also have parental guarantee for rent and what not so I'll be able to pay everything on time.
Hello! My name is Joel and I have just moved to Melbourne. I'm studying musical theatre and looking for a place to stay while I study. I'm pretty outgoing in the fact that I'm always up for a chat but love some alone time as well. I get along with everyone. Looking for some amazing people to be able to meet since I've moved here knowing no one. I really need a place asap, please message/call me and I'm happy to come inspect any place as soon as possible. Thank you! Look forward to hearing from you
Hi` this is Hazel, 23 years old. I'm now studying in melbourne uni, master of construction. I'm looking for a place to live in for the next 6 months and I found your place is nice. And more about myself, I'm positive, like talking and sharing when i'm free. During semester especially weekdays I will be busy with studying. I prefer to have a chill weekends with friends, also like to have a movie night with housemates if possible. I like music, I'm playing keyboard but not really good at it. And i like going to gym as well .
Hi Jani :) I am a full time student at Melb Uni currently on my 2nd year of my bachelor of Environments. I am 23 years old but actually I look younger! I glad to tell you I am from Ecuador so I am super friendly. I am loyal, responsible and of course a good person to talk and to live with. I would like to find a comfortable and bright place to study. Regards, Janina
I'm and easy going Aussie/American who loves the outdoors, enjoys cooking, and riding my bike most places. I'm a clean and fairly active house mate who enjoys beers on the weekend and the odd party but not crazy weekend benders. I'm looking for a place within riding distance of the CBD and hopefully with a great backyard!
Jon - 26, Spatial analyst / Research assistant, very capable cyclist (previously competitive but chose a career/social life over becoming a professional cyclist) and handy cards player. Easy going, loves a bit of banter and well domesticated through forced child labour (mum's reason for having kids). Appreciates having pot plants / flowers / a garden wherever he lives. Trikk - 25, avid photographer / animal lover (grew up on a dairy farm) and currently working for the Australian Wheat Board in South Bank. Very friendly and loves a good chat. As a couple we look to enjoy our housemates company and hope they can enjoy ours too. We're not ones to lock ourselves inside of our room never to be seen and looking for a house where everyone gets along rather than a case of contractual co-habitation. We're clean and highly respectful and considerate of all others. We're looking for a place to stay with where we can sign a minimum 6 month lease and relatively flexible as to the date we move in. We're available to move at any time really so we're flexible to work on a timeline suitable to your house.
Hi, I'm Alan, currently undertaking my Masters of Architecture at RMIT. I'm looking for a room preferably furnished in a shared apartment or house for a minimum stay of 6 months; moving in by Feb 14th. I spend most of my spare time running my own creative consultancy business. When i'm not working, i'm passionate about anything art and design related. I love roaming the city taking photos and frequenting art galleries and bookshops. I'm a regular gym goer and play a bit of tennis and badminton. I also enjoy binge watching tv shows on a regular. I'm clean, organised, sociable and respect other peoples personal space. Give me a shout if you are interested in meeting up to discuss a possible housing arrangement!
'm 26 and have a steady income from a music festival business I run up in QLD (still running it via my laptop from wherever I go). Rent will always be in before the due date every single time. I'm a social kind of guy, but I'm not too intense. I can read social cues and I can tell when someone just wants to be left alone and chill. I like to keep a tidy house, I clean up after myself straight away and you'll have me voluntarily cleaning the bathroom all of the time. I love to live in places where everyone contributes to the household including cooking meals. Obviously everyone's always going to have different schedules and it doesn't quite work out every night but I like to do it as often as possible. My specialties are a spinach/feta/chicken pie and a roast, but can also do many more. My biggest interest is music (hence the festival). I tend to go to shows pretty often, already have tickets to see a band called Snarky Puppy in April. Not sure if you've heard of them or not but they are one of my favourites. Hoping to move to a place where everyone's pretty chilled out and gets along well with each other and can discuss any issues diplomatically. If you have any other questions about me, just ask. But ideally, meet me :)
Hi I’m Chris I am friendly, outgoing, fairly relaxed kind a person but also love my own space as that’s where I recharge my batteries and I’m looking for a new home. I’m wanting to share a non smoking active/healthy household or townhouse, that is environmentally aware. Preferable with just one other person. I would love an unfurnished, decent sized room, with space to move and built in wardrobes. If there is an en-suite, bonus! A place where the common areas are kept in a good state of cleanliness, especially the kitchen, and bills are paid on time, with a minimum of fuss. I prefer an independent household but with the possibility of sharing a drink, a laugh, or the odd meal together. I get on well with most people and I’m responsible and considerate when it comes to other people’s things and space. Currently I'm on a break from working but will start looking again early next year probably contract work or part time. I like to keep reasonably fit and active, but I also like curling up with a good book or DVD. Sometimes weekends will find me, outside somewhere, hiking camping or whatever else I can find or talk people into. I'm pretty independent but like knowing that there are other bodies living in the same space, the random conversations, laughter, or drinks but live reasonably quietly, prefer to go out rather than entertain at home and I go to bed early :-) ish. My days of being a night owl are over so prefer to live with people with similar habits. Cheers
hey there, this is Max, 29 yrs old male who works part-time in a large retailer company and study my last trimester of MBA course. I am looking for a place for short term least 2months+ . I am friendly and quiet, keep my place clean and tidy, respect others space.
Easygoing and able to get along with everyone, wanting a warm and friendly share house. INFJ that would love to hang out with housemates but also values alone time. Love to cook and happy to share it with my housemates too!
Hey, My name's Andrea, I'm 22 and from Norway. I am currently studying psychology and geography at Melbourne Uni (2nd year), and keep pretty busy during the week. I'm a responsible, open-minded and social person, always up for a laugh and chill times, but also very independent and respectful of space. I'm looking for a sharehouse with 1-4 other people starting from January 22nd, the earlier the better. Ideally I'd like to live with people who are also interested in making friends, or at least up for a good chat over a beer or glass of wine. I'm not a big partyer, but like to go out every now and then. I'm also a major foodie and absolutely love traveling. I hope to find people who are also quite relaxed, open-minded, clean, social and generally respectful of others. And of course keen to make the sharehouse a home! Hope to hear from you, thanks!
Hi I'm looking for a long-term private room to stay from 16th Feb, (still a longtime to go :) but I'm happy to already share some of the rent before moving in if needed) About me: -24yo, Master's student at Unimelb & part-time worker -clean, laid back, house trained, organized, quiet unless when having a party, terrible entertainer but always laugh at terrible jokes -into good movies, series, music, fitness, all kinds of booze (alcoholic-ish but a descent drinker, amateur bar tender) -Live a busy life but would love a good drink or chat or occasionally shared dinner -mad dog lover but unfortunately unable to live with kittens in case my deadly allergic GF decides to come visit from Germany about the house: -Not fussy about living conditions really, but natural light & a window & super clean toilet & good-enough-for-Skype wifi is a must -hoping to live with chill & friendly people who would love to have a relaxing drink and chill together or hang out sometimes Looking forward to hear from you if it sounds like I could fit the house vibe. As I am currently traveling abroad I won't be able to come visit but a Skype chat could definitely be arranged.
Hey, I'm Anna and am looking for a room to rent while studying at the University of Melbourne. I'm in my third year studying business and law and currently work part time at a home organization store (so I know how to keep my space tidy). I like to drink coffee, pet stranger's dogs, go on adventures, and occasionally go out with friends or have a few friends over for a drink. However I am also happy to stay at home and read or watch a movie. I have only had female housemates in the past but would be happy to mix it up! I am respectful of common areas and can give others their space when they need it however I would like to find housemates that enjoy hanging out from time to time and get along well. I am American and will be moving to Melbourne from Seattle so it would be a lot easier if there was at least a bed in the room but if its the right fit I'm willing to figure out the furnishing for myself. The earliest I am available for inspections is February 8th, but I would be able to move in right away afterwards. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Hi everyone! I am 21 years old and I am from the states. I am originally from a state called Vermont. You probably have never hear of Vermont, but it is very close to New York! I am going to be a graduate student at the University of Melbourne studying physiotherapy this January. I have lived in the Gold Coast on and off the past 2 years and have visited Melbourne twice. I am not very familiar with the city, so I would prefer to be close to the University's Parkville campus. Since I am moving so last minute, I really need a place for the first month or two until I get settled. If everything goes well, I would definitely look into staying longer!
I'll be in Melbourne on a working holiday visa starting towards the end of February, but I'm looking to establish a settled life for the time I'll be there (I'm shooting for around 6 months at the moment). I'm from the US, and have been working in the hospitality/tourism industry in California and Colorado since I graduated from university a few years ago. I'm an avid reader and like to run, hike, and generally be active, but I also love a good Netflix binge. Brunch is my favorite past time. I'm ideally looking for a furnished room in a friendly flat, with people who like to hangout together but also respect personal time - I'm sociable but do like to have time to myself sometimes. I like to cook and bake, so as my flatmate(s), expect treats! I'm a generally tidy person, and have no qualms about pitching in to clean. I'm not a huge party person but do enjoy having friends over or going out for dinner and drinks. I plan on spending my weekends exploring and getting to know Melbourne. If you'd like more info, please message me!
Hello, I'm an international student from Nairobi, Kenya. Ethnically, I am South Asian and Arab. I am going to move to Melbourne as a Bachelor in Design (Architecture) first year student at University of Melbourne. I am easy going, quiet (at first), sociable and tidy - I don't mind sharing out the responsibilities in a shared house. I enjoy some nights out, or days out, and sometimes like to stay in. I also enjoy having a laugh and respect everyone's privacy. I would like to live with other students (preferably first year). In addition, I prefer a place with a lot of natural lighting. Thank you.
Chilled out, happy, social and independent looking for like minded people who don't mind having a chit chat, sharing a wine/beer. I'm usually doing my own thing in my downtime - at the beach, catching up with family and friends, brunching or I'm out of town for the weekend when possible.

Post grad student moving from Syd to study Veterinary Medicine. Will be studying lots and lots, yet am sociable... won't say no to an arvy tea/wine/beer! (and make a mean cheese plate). I'm caring, friendly and can find a way to get along with anyone really. Love a laugh and some banter, but also need my own space. I'm a Sydney Swans supporter... so don't hold that against me! I'm patient & pretty flexible in terms of fitting in with however it is your house already runs. Used to keeping communal areas tidy and being considerate of others (i.e- I won't leave my dishes for a week ;) I'm an early bird, horse rider, avid reader, art enthusiast and enjoy brunch and good coffee. If you have pets, you'll have a free petsitter too
Hi there. I am Aza from Mongolia returning to my master's study at Melb Uni from March. I'll be back to Melb on 14th Feb. I am looking for a single room if possible, but don't mind the shared room with another person. I lived in a shared house before, so I know what it is like to be in and how to behave. Financially, I am secure as I have a scholarship. I love cycling and playing tennis in my spare time. Hope to find the right place and people from here. Cheers, Aza
Hi! I'll arrive in Melbourne on February 12th to begin my master studies in Construction Management at the University of Melbourne. I'm 27 yo & have lived abroad for the past 7 years (mostly in shared houses, so I know well how to live with roomies in peace & enjoy it.;)). I'm clean, tidy, laid back, friendly & my friends say funny too :D. In my free time I'd love to cook (gotta be careful to not eat your fingers :P), share a beer or two (wine is even better), watch movies, go for a walk or hike! I'm ideally looking for a private room in an existing shared house but also willing & excited to team-up with other cool, easy-going people looking for a place to call home. :)

I'm looking for a furnished private room in a share house within a reasonable distance to Victoria University. I'm a sociable person but also respect the privacy of others, and enjoy my own, and understand that living in a communal environment requires courtesy as well as both the ability to interact with the household and provide personal space for roommates. I'm friendly, generous, and have a good sense of humour as I'm a stand-up comedian, as well as an actor. I enjoy both quiet nights in and longer nights of laughter and general good times. Looking to have an enjoyable and positive first share house experience.
I'm an international student studying Industrial Design at RMIT, going into my third year. I've lived with a roommate before, so i know the drill haha. I am working almost full time hours so won't be home during the day unless I have a day off. I am just looking for a place where I can get along with my housemates.
Ciao! My name is Chiara, I'm italian and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I'm currently working in an international environmental not-for-profit organization. I'm easy going, open mind and plus I love beers. I like meeting new people, get to know other cultures, hanging out with friends, having dinner together because food is sharing. Hey! I'm 21 and currently studying science at Melbourne Uni and working part time (that's me on the right). I'm an outgoing, hard working and friendly person and looking for a place to call home. I lived in America mid 2014- end 2015 where I attended a private research University on scholarship for 1.5 years so I know what it's like to live out of home and the dynamics of a share house/apartment. Im clean, respectful and organised and would prefer to live with people who are similar in this way. Few of my hobbies/interests include rnb music, hanging out at the beach with my dog (won't be coming with me), learning Japanese, cooking, and staying fit (swimming and running espec). I competed in International athletics as a junior from ages 16-20 including Div 1 NCAA so I'd be keen on a game of backyard cricket or basketball in my downtime. I'm very social and enjoy catching up with friends on the weekend to explore bars or go to a gig/comedy. Im not a big drinker but definitely enjoy a glass of wine or two with good company. 2-4 housemates would be ideal 😊 LGBT friendly and all of that of course. Prefer a non-smoking household. Looking for something at least 6 months - year. Shoot me a message if I sound like a good fit! Cheers
Hi! I am an easy going guy who has just moved to Melbourne from Spain. I love the outdoors, discovering new places, meeting and hanging out with people from different countries. I don't smoke and I like tidy and clean spaces.
I am a considerate housemate who will replace toilet rolls, make tea for everyone & tidy up after myself! I like to read, binge watch series, practice yoga, and ride my bike (slowly). I enjoy a glass of wine, stinky cheese, and philosophising over any topic that sparks an interest. I am a uni student (part-time) and work as a dental assistant.
We are a family of three. Myself, wife and a daughter of almost four years old. We are the best to live with. Friendly and Godly. I am a Research Student with RMIT University, while my wife work part time and take care of our daughter. We live a peaceful but very friendly life.
Hey I'm Nigel, 29yo Kiwi, however I've been here about 7 years now and have pretty much lost my accent. I'm currently working in the city as a support person for a construction industry web app. I'm fairly respectful of privacy and generally keep to myself unless you want to hang out, in which case I'm usually keen to watch a movie or have a quiet beer and a chat. As for hobbies, I'm big into horror movies, the more occult themed or psychological the better. I own a guitar and have been known to play on occassion but not for some time. I generally try to get to the gym at least 3 or 4 days a week and I like playing xbox, watching a movie or reading to wind down in the evening. I'm currently a smoker, but am really keen to quit so if you're a non-smoking household, that actually may be better, haha I'm not particularly high strung about anything but my only requirement is a reliable wifi connection as I do occassionally need to work from home. If I sound like the kind of person you'd like to share a house with, please flick me a message. I look forward to hearing from you!
