I've travelled, lived and worked around the world so am used to sharing homes (that's right, homes - not houses). Originally from Europe, I've been calling MelbsTown home since Jan 2017. I love music and "doing things" in this great city - I will tell you about cool events before "Time Out" does. I'm often out and about working, meeting friends, volunteering, exploring, travelling and looking for the next adventure, but I like having a quiet down time at home sometimes as well. In my life I've worked as a flight attendant, teacher, event manager, waitress, interpreter and exhibitor. Oh, and I speak four languages so will give you classes if you're up for it :) I have a good sense of humour but am a terrible cook (sorry!). I'm house-trained and respectful of other people's space - you know, we're all adults when we need to :) I don't have a car so I won't need a parking place. If there's anything else you'd like to know, ask away :)
I'm a laid-back Canadian who's looking to set some roots here in Melbourne for the next year. I'm quiet, clean and very respectful of other people's space. I'm not a big party person, but I'm very social and looking to make new friends. I'm currently a freelance writer and yoga instructor. I also have good references, if you'd like to speak to some of my past housemates!
I moved interstate almost a year ago and have been experiencing Melbourne ever since. I’m a full time bartender, and work some days also so I’m not home a lot but when I am, I like to cook, binge Netflix, or play with my cat. I go to music festivals, hang out with friends and explore new places and travel. I’m fairly laid back and clean. I have a year old cat who is so tiny and very cuddly. Ideally looking to start a new sharehouse in these areas with some cool people and have our own little thing going on but open to moving in somewhere if it’s suited. Move in date is flexible.
Fun-loving and social, but also likes quiet weeknights with a book or Netflix. New to Melbourne, from Auckland. 28 year old full-time consultant working in the city. Clean, green kiwi looking for a friendly flat.
Hi, I am Davide, a student of 20 who studies economics in Rome. I am going to have a short-term working experience as a waiter here in Melbourne in order to improve my language. I am a friendly, clean and handy person who likes meeting new people, eating food and practicing sport.
So a little bit about myself..... here goes!! I’m originally from NZ, I moved over to Melbourne in May of this year, looking for a new start/adventure. I enjoy the simple things in life, good friends, good food, music and movies, plus the odd binge watching session on Netflix. I love to cook and travel when I get the chance to, whether its a weekend getaway or an epic overseas trip. I like relaxing and hanging out, when I’m not working, which is a Monday to Friday normal business hours. Plus I like to have a good chat over a drink and I also do enjoy the quiet moments too. I’d like to think I get along with most people, I’m friendly and happy most of the time! I clean up after myself and sometimes others, plus I’m respectful of you and your own space. I’m hoping to make Melbourne my home for the next 2-3 years, at least!!
I'm from France and I'm moving to Melbourne for few months. I'm a really easygoing person as I lived with a lot and different people in the last ten years. I like meeting new people, cooking for them, listening some music and sometimes I like having quiet times to just chill. I like clean homes but I'm not maniac.
Hello! I am a young professional from Scandinavia. I am going to be working here with retail for the next 6 months and looking for a modern room to move into. I am extremely tidy and I appreciate a clean home. I consider myself a minimalist, so I won't be bringing a lot of stuff with me. I am looking to share a home with people with positive energy. Despite my young age, you shouldn't expect a lot of partying from me. I prefer to wake up early and start my day at the gym. My other interests include interior design, fashion and cooking! :)
I am a full time worker and Mat is a student/part time worker, both works as chefs in brunch cafes ! We are respectful, not party type people. Both of us enjoy drinking but in moderate and non smokers. We mostly cook at home on the day we work, still know well how to use kitchen clean and keep the shared space clean after use. When we have dayoffs, we'd love not just to go out and have lunch or dinner outside, but if the weather is sadly cold and rainy, we love to stay in bed, having a netflix-chill-day. We both want to be fit, so, Mat goes to gym and I goes to swimming pool :) However we are not health-geeks more foodies. Plus, we are up for small talk or a glass of wine/beer with anyone at home :) Most importantly, we pay bills and rent ON TIME.
Hi, my name is Konstantin and my passion is coffee. Thatswhy I have decided to quit my Berlin (Germany) based office job and come to Melbourne, to learn everything about coffee that I don't know yet. I will stay in Melbourne for 1 year, before I return to Berlin to open up my own coffee roasting business. I am a fun, laid-back person who likes to cook and go out with friends. I am very considerate, attentive and tidy and will respect everyones privacy. I love photography and film making as well as watching a good movie or tv-series at home or in the theatre. Whenever I can, I also go to the stadium to watch some football (soccer;)). I am looking forward to meet some nice, interesting people who enjoy some good chats and great company. Free German course included ;)
Hey there! My name is Abby. I work full time in South Melb. I own the most friendly and adorable red toy poodle named kumo, he's house trained and his breed doesn't shed hair. I am a dancer, go to church on Thursdays and Sundays and love to explore VIC when uni isn't so hectic. I am clean, a non smoker, don't really party hardcore but I am quite social. I am getting a car in the near future but im flexible with parking options. Ideally I'm looking for a place for me and my poodle. Cheers!
26 professional that mostly works in the city. Respectable, clean, easy-going and social guy. Generally try to exercise a lot (currently training for the marathon in Oct), I enjoy going to gigs or out with friends on the weekends, but am pretty chill on weekdays. Pretty big on music and art. Overall would love to be friends with my housemate. Not really in a rush at all for a room, happy to wait for the right one! Have a lovely small-to-medium sized dog (a Finnish Lapphund) to bring with me, I take to parks and/or on walks every day. She's very friendly and sweet, and loves company. My dog would be with me somewhere inbetween 50-100% of the time, as I have to share her with my parents (currently TBC). Thanks!
Greetings future landlord :) I'm looking for somewhere to call home for the next 4 years, sounds like a dreamy tenant eh! Do read on... Well I've just moved to Melbourne from Ireland to start a PhD and starting to feel a little over the hill for house sharing ;) I'm a mature 28 year old looking for a cosy quiet home - somewhere I can study but also rest peacefully in between a hectic lifestyle. I am the very grateful recipient of a scholarship for my PhD, so that, plus the earnings from my weekend bakery work (because who wouldn't want additional cash and bread?!) puts me in a comfortable enough position to live by myself and pay your good self on time, always! If you've got a cute little apartment for one - with a tiny balcony in my dreamland scenario - then please get in touch.
Hello, I work full time in the Community sector. Ideally would love a modern apartment / townhouse with a spot for my car (on street is okay)
NOT INTERESTED IN SHARED ROOMS. I stay in dorm rooms when I’m travelling, but would like my own bedroom at home, thanks! 😳 Hi. I’m Maddi. 🤗 I’m 26, non smoker and don’t have any pets - but I’ll happily cuddle yours if you’ve got any! I always clean up after myself, pay my bills on time and am considerate of others schedules. I’d like roommates who do the same, but are also open to occasionally spending some time together. I enjoy going out to gigs and having a drink or two. But I’m also happy staying home for Netflix marathons. I’m currently studying Content Creation at Collarts in Collingwood (how’s that alliteration?), so I’m looking for a place nearby or with good public transport options. Would love to have wooden floorboards, but that’s obviously not essential. I just really enjoy that aesthetic. My budget is around $200 a week. Approx $870 a month. Can do a little more if the place is perfect though. Flexible with length of stay. Will consider short and long term options!
Hi, My name is Maria Lucia, I’m 28 , I moved to Melbourne two years ago to do my masters in Sustainable Tourism at Monash University, and now I graduated and work full time so I am looking for a new place where to stay. I come from Colombia, I lived a few years in Europe and now I am loving living in Melbourne. I am the type of person who really loves going to events, festivals, shows and exhibitions, and Melbourne is the perfect place for it. I am often out and about, either for work or for pleasure but I also love to spend some quality time at home, cook good food and watch a movie. I am a very tidy and clean person, and I think that the public spaces of a share house should always be clean and respectfully treated. I am looking for a nice and cosy house, but also for a nice atmosphere at home with my flatmates. Please send me a message if you have a double room in a two or three-bedroom apartment. Only rooms with a window, please =) (what is the deal with rooms with no Windows here in Melbourne??) =)
Hey future flatmates! I'm a 27yo kiwi chick, working full time in Kew. I enjoy things like lighting candles all over the house and having dance parties in the kitchen, spontaneous night time adventures, having a singalong at the piano, getting up early to garden with the birds, baking delicious goods and befriending street cats. I've been living in a lovely semi-communal share house in Camberwell for the past year and would like to find somewhere on the north side of town that's a bit closer to my social life. Its really important to me that I feel like we are all a good fit as I want somewhere I can call home for a while, not just a room and a bed. Let me know if you think we would get along!
