Hello! We're a couple from Germany on our mission to explore the ozy lifestyle. We've arrived yesterday and are now on the hunt for the perfect place to stay for the coming months. We like any kind of sports, music, going out. Of course, we have each our own hobbies too like waterpolo or other kind of things which we can discuss when we visit:) Both of us quit our jobs at home and are excited to get to know a new city out here. If you have a room for us, we're more than happy to come and check it out. Cheers Pascal and Marlena
Hi! My name's Sam and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I’m a 29 year-old male working in tech support and studying physics at RMIT (not to be confused with psychics… I cannot tell the future, sorry in advance). I keep pretty busy during the week, but love to come home to hang out, share a meal (pumpkin pesto pasta is my specialty), have a few drinks, listen to some music or binge watch a TV series or two (currently obsessed with Stranger Things). I also apologise in advance for getting too emotionally invested in the footy. I’m really considerate and clean, especially of all the shared spaces in the house. I’ve lived in share houses before, so I’m pretty comfortable with all the unwritten rules of housemate life. Ideally, I’m looking at anything from $500-760 p/month. Location wise, inner city is good but mostly it’s about finding great housemates who can become great friends. If you’ve got a spare room, or know someone who does, get in touch. Cheers Sam
My name is Taylah, I am 19 years old and currently living in the eastern suburbs of Victoria. I work full time (8:30 - 4:30 daily) in an administration position for Public Transport Victoria, located opposite Flagstaff Gardens in the city. I am a very responsible, tidy and reasonable person. I am a person who appreciates their personal space/privacy and therefore can respect others personal space and privacy within a home. On my weekends and in my down time I enjoy spending my time hanging out with my friends, listening to music (at bars/clubs/gigs), cooking, taking my film camera out for the day and cuddling with my cats. I would ideally be looking for a room/studio/one bedroom unit where I can smoke cigarettes (outside of course) and also one that I can bring my two gorgeous Tortie cats to. I am not really fussed with suburbs, as long as I can get to and from the city with ease. Also not fussed on what gender and or sexuality anyone is! Please feel free to message me if you have any places I may be interested in or if you would like to start looking together. Thanks!
Hi my name is Jay, I am looking for a single room in fitzroy, brunswick, carlton and cbd around $700-$800/month. I am a recent graduate student in Business and work part-time in retail. I enjoy outdoor activities (walking, checking out new places around melbourne), festivals and music (house & techno). I am a laid back and social person, up for drinks or movie nights and meeting new people. I have lived in Melbourne for 10 years and looking for a change of pace. Thank you and look forward to meeting you. Cheers
My name is Stacie, I've just returned to Australia after travelling overseas for a little under 2 years. I'm neat, considerate of space & down time but also friendly and always up for a chat or a bevvie. I'm a social worker by profession but will be starting off in hospitality just while I get my feet on the ground & to get immediate cash flow (social work recruitment is painfully slow). I have savings which easily cover bond & first month, late payment will not be an issue. I already have job interviews lined up next week :) I have a 7 year old English Staffy named Cash who I will fly down once I find a suitable place, he's very chilled & friendly. Are you open to having a dog live at the property? He's outside when I'm not home & doesn't climb on furniture, bark or chew shoes etc. Mostly he just naps and hopes for pats. He has happily lived with a cat before so no problems there. I'm available to move in from now, so far it's just me & 2 backpacks. My furniture is in storage still. I'm vegan but ok to live in a non-veg household :)
I am currently a first year student at Melbourne Uni doing a Bachelor of Science, majoring in maths and IT. I am a mostly quiet person, though I never shy away from talking and getting to know people. I take pride in keeping organised and in keeping my room clean too. Other than that, most of the time I will probably be studying, but I do have hobbies that I balance it out with such as bike riding, going to see the movies or just catching up with friends :).
Hi, I'm from Japan. I am a student of an English school in city at the moment, and go to the school on Monday-Thursday, usually No class on Friday. I will finish school on February and start working full-time. I am easy-going person, and like watching TV, movies and YouTube, cooking, chatting, and going for shopping. Thank you:)
Hiya, I’m Tam. I’m 24 years old and working full time in the hospitality industry while at uni part time. I love my sports and being outdoors, catching up with friends but also like staying home some weekends and being able to chill out after a long week. I love to cook and clean (apart of my South American culture 😂 ) so that makes me a pretty good housemate!
Hi there !!! I'm Max I'm a full-time student Studying Live Production. I'm a busker and keep to myself making all kinds of art. I'm clean, quiet and don't party. All I need is good internet for school and video games and a shelf in the fringe. I'm reliable and can pay $690pm incl bills. Thanks :)
Hey! My name is Emma and I have just graduated from nursing. I will be starting a full time job in January at St Vincent's Hospital in Fitzroy. I am hoping to be within 20 mins of the city via public transport as I will likely be commuting to work. I love to have a chat and a wine however also enjoy time to myself. Enjoy cooking, reading old crime novels and puzzles but also a Netflix Addict and love to explore the city in my free time!
I'm a super chill kind of person with a lot of respect to give. A home to me is somewhere where I can feel 100% comfortable and look forward to the company of my housemates. It's a place and time where I can improve myself and sneak away from the real world. I'm definitely like to keep things organised and clean in my living space otherwise if my outside world is cluttered then my inside world feels cluttered. Some things I love would be puzzles, the outdoors and just keeping my hands busy (just recently finished making a basket). I also love travelling and have recently got back from being away for 7 months. If you're looking for a housemate that occasionally talks to herself and is always up for something fun or out of the ordinary then I think I could be all that plus maybe more, who knows, only time will tell xx.
I've returned to Melbourne after a 3 year break. I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay but would like to rent a place on my own for an initial 3 months until I figure out how long I intend to stay. I'm an IT and Web Development Project Manager, I work contract but I've never been out of work. I've rented in cities all over the world and rent out my own apartment in Glasgow, I think this helps me know what it takes to be a good tenant. I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland but I've been living and working in Melbourne, Berlin and London for the past 8 or 9 years. In my spare time I like to take photographs which I hope one day to make into an exhibition. When the sun isn't too fierce I like to go on adventures and get involved in what's going on. I'm here to enjoy the summer, catch up with old friends and work while I'm doing that.
- 26 years old and female - recently moved to Melbourne for a full time work opportunity. - 9-5 worker and quiet through the week. I am a good humoured person that likes my alone time but am friendly and also like to go out and socialise. Super clean around the house, don’t smoke or take drugs. Do drink, although generally not to excess in the house. Want to feel comfortable to have a few beers at home as and when, but certainly not looking to throw all night parties or anything like that. What I’m looking for (ideally, will consider other options) : - furnished room - bills included if possible - good internet connection - suburbs of main interest are St Kilda, CBD, South Melbourne, Docklands, South Yarra, Carlton, North Melbourne, Brunswick. - below or around $300 but I can stretch for the right thing. - month to month arrangement or no more than a three month lease to start. This is just to be safe, if everyone’s happy I’m open to longer term. - I would like to live with someone 20's/30's who is clean and respectful of space. I am happy for people to stay over (friends, boyfriends/girlfriends/family) as long as it is not so much they should basically be paying rent. I’m not weird about guests of visitors and want a housemate I can trust to make good decisions and who trusts me to do the same. Basically looking for true share environment where I am comfortable to use the space and don't feel like I need to hide in my room (and no one else in said environment feels that way either). Keen to move ASAP. Please get in touch if you think it would be a good match. Please no offers drastically out of area. Thanks so much!
Hi all, my name is Dylan. Recently graduated uni, and working hospitality 4-5 days a week in the city. I've been a part of the sharehouse game for quite some time, throughout uni, and am looking to make the jump from the southeast to the wonderful northern suburbs! I'm a Tasmanian, and go back a few times a year to visit the trees and endearing bogans. I enjoy a few quiet beers, bbqs, gardening, vegging out with a book on a comfy rug or patch of grass, hiking, roadtrips and tacos. I also like to tinker with things and am a real fan of the versatility of milk crates. I have a decent lot of experience with sharehousing, and can be social or quiet as the house mood calls for. Currently looking for a place in the vicinity of 6 months, but I am flexible in this regard. To have a new place arranged around the 11th Dec would be great, but not essential. Hit me up if you think I'd make a good match for your place!
Hey! I'm 22, from London and I've been in Melbourne for 6 months. I work full time as a waitress and as a writer for a local sketch comedy group. Looking for a place in Fitzroy, Brunswick or Northcote, no more than $800 pcm. I'm really easy going, I drink a bit but I'm not a massive partier, love live comedy and watching movies. I'll always share my cooking, I'm clean and I love pets. Drop me a message or a text! Thanks, Lily x
Hey! I’m Vicky, 24 years old and originally from the UK. I work in marketing and have just moved to Melbourne for the year searching for a new adventure. I’m looking for a room in a social but still chilled house/ flat share, short term at first but potentially longer! I love yoga and the gym, exploring this amazing city, and sharing a few drinks or a Netflix binge with friends.
I've recently moved over from the UK to Melbourne. I'm loving it so far and the plan is to stay in Australia for a year as I'm on a working travel visa. I can only commit to 3 months right now as i will probably decide to do a bit of traveling later on. I graduated last year and have a full time job as a bartender in Fitzroy. I like sports, going out for a few drinks or even just chilling and watching a movie. I've been living in share houses for the last 4 years so I know the deal!
Hi all! My name is Alex, I'm 26 yo, from New Caledonia ( a little island near Australia, wich is a french territory). I'm very chilled but not lazy, as Im a tidy and clean person. Respectful, kind and quiet are my biggest qualities. I like to cook, play games, and also enjoy to have a glass of wine or a beer around a barbie on days off. I'm also a gardener/horticulturist in soul, it's probably my favourite activity. If you feel that I could be the missing piece in the puzzle, feel free to message or call me :)!
Hello my name is Matt, I am moving to Melbourne from Brisbane at the end of December to work at the Austin. I will be working long hours. I like yoga, going to the gym, good food and good humour. I have a girlfriend and two dogs in Brisbane which I hope to go and visit once a month. Im respectful and easy going . If you think I would be a suitable house mate let me know. Matt
Heya, I'll be moving sometime in the new year, and with way the rental market is these days, I figured I'd start early and suss out if there's any interest in a team-up for someplace actually liveable. You know, instead of paying through the nose and having to squat out of a cardboard box... Me: a 32yo nurse, working the night shift these days, and am keen to start a home, not just a house. You: late 20s to early 30s, gainfully employed, the usual housemate stuff (pays bills, somewhat tidy, not an axe murderer, etc, etc). Ideally looking for two others for a house of three, but also open to 2-bedroom places. Hit me up if anyone else is in a similar spot. Looking at inner north and west suburbs primarily, but nothing definite yet, so if you have a particular area of Melbourne that tickles your fancy, I'm all ears!
Hello, Myself and a friend are hoping to find a place together, we don't mind if there's some others living there already, keen to share and meet new people. We're both studying in the city and have done so for the past year. We're pretty chill guys and just like to hang out and have a laugh, although we're pretty busy throughout the semester.
Hi Guys, My name is Chloe, I'm 26 from London. I lived between Melbourne and Sydney for two years in 2013 - 2015 and have decided to come back for a years working holiday with the possibility of permanently relocating. I will be arriving on the 17th January and am looking for a place to stay either in Melbourne CBD, Brunswick, Fitzroy, Richmond or Port Melbourne. I would consider other areas but they are my preference purely because I am familiar with those areas. My Partner from the UK will potentially be joining me around February time (not 100% confirmed yet) so id need someone who would be willing to have a couple living with them if he does decide to come. However for the first few weeks at least I will be riding solo, so am looking for a cool bunch of people to hang out with. Im a fairly private person at home as in I like to have my own double room and private bathroom/ensuite however I love having a housemate who is up for shared dinners and a glass of wine every now and again. I love cooking, cinema, meals out, yoga, travelling, a night out on the town occasionally and love love love weekend brunching. Ideally would like to live in a house with no more than 2 other house mates and the room needs to be furnished as I will be arriving straight from the U.K. with just my suitcases :) Please message me if you have a suitable room available or would like to buddy up
