I'm an international undergraduate student, on my last semester at UniMelb. I have been sharing a flat with others the past 2 years so I am very experienced, responsible and tidy around the house. I always pay rent and bills on time. I'm also social but polite and not too loud, I respect other people's privacy - because I understand I also need privacy. I don't smoke and party. I'll usually be out during the days either working or studying, and be home at nights binge watching on my laptop. I love to explore yummy food, visit markets/popups, and go to concerts :)
# Rental bio Hi ! I’m Chen. I saw your rental vacancy and am eager to inspect. 24 // Male //Perth born and raised //Sri Lankan Tamil ethnicity I can move in now or as late as August 31. I rocked up to Melbourne wide-eyed on July 24 but am currently rotting on my sister’s couch. I moved over here to study and so far I’m keeping my head down - mostly to avoid glimpsing my sis and her bf touch each other excessively. I’m technically here to complete a Master of Journalism, however a larger inspiration for the move was to get out of the inertia and monotony of my hometown. I fell in love with big cities and cultural epicentres after a recent trip to Toronto and NYC. My interests include psychology (which I have a bachelors in), hip hop, cinema, egg noodle soup, inhaling art and exhaling journal entries. I used to live with three friends from high school. We enjoyed drunken dancing, discussing Kendrick Lamar’s Damn and going through the BBC’s critics poll for the 100 greatest films of the 21st century. I’m clean and minimalist. I want to make the most of my time here - to meet diverse characters, have intoxicating conversation, inhabit new perspectives and be inspired by sublime views. If you think I’m a good fit, let me know. I’m keen to inspect. Cheers, Chen
I'm a final year student working part-time who's looking for a place to stay now that I've come back from exchange. During the week I will be pretty busy, but am always happy to have a chat/grab a coffee when free. I like to cook (mostly vegetarian, but I don't have a problem sharing a kitchen with people who aren't), binge-read and make travel plans I can't afford. I do have previous rental experience, and having lived in share-housing since my early teens, I can confidently say that I make a quiet, clean, drama-free housemate. Looking for a tidy property that's not a party house and preferably also non-smoking. I love animals, so if you have a pet/s that won't bother me in the least :)
Mostly lost, parts found. Dreamer, believer, wandered, explorer:) I am originally from India, and have been living in Preston since 1.5 years. Currently pursuing my Masters while interning with a responsible tourism company. I'm a fun loving, easy going person, who is almost always waiting to get out of the city. Love hiking and going for treks in the mountains:) Love being out and about, or just hanging out with friends. I thrive on good vibes so that's what you can expect from me. I like keeping my environment clean, decorating the house with pretty lights and always creating an ambience that suits the mood. I respect other's privacy, but I also like having someone to hang with. In phases i tend do get stuck to my bed watching shows or perhaps studying when i absolutely need to. Just looking for someone chilled out yet responsible to share a house with. To the right match...hope we find each other:)
Hey, I'm looking for a long term room in any of the inner suburbs, preferably within 45 mins cycling time of carlton. I work part time and spend the remainder of my time reading, tryna learn piano and going on outings with friends. Have lived in share houses before and am tidy + reliable with cleaning up and paying rent/bills. I'm always up for the odd cook up/cheap wine when I'm around but respectful of others' space/time. I'll need a place with parking available (street is fine). If you think you've got something in my budget - max $650 p/m - shoot me a message :) Emily

Hello! I'm a full time student at the University of Melbourne, though I also work part time. I am a friendly, laid back person and love meeting new people. I strive to keep myself neat and organised wherever possible and will respect your need for space and alone time. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports (tennis and soccer), watching shows and eating.
I'm pretty easy going, work full time. Happy to share a meal or two but also totally happy to do my own thing. Most nights I'm at the gym or doing social things. Weekends I'm mostly out. Not into partying I'm neat and tidy, but not pedantic about it and I'm respectful of others space. Do you like dogs? My 4yrold dog WONT be coming to live with me but he may visit/be around the house a few hours each week. He won't bother you as he dosent leave my side. He's a clean inside dog and always bathed. I have a good vaccume too.
Hi there! We are both from the Netherlands, and we're looking for a new place to live. I am an Aerospace engineering PhD student at RMIT, while my girlfriend is a philosophy teacher here on a working holiday visa. We are both quite clean but not insane about it, and are generally up for a shared dinner/drink/activity! We're not insane party people though. I love playing and watching sports, enjoy discussions about all sorts of topics, from politics to craft beers, and like to cook. My girlfriend also loves a good chat and we both love to read. We've both lived in share houses before so we know what it's like! If we seem like a good fit we'd love to come by some time and take a look! Cheers!
Hi guys, I'm an exchange student at the uni melbourne currently doing an exchange semster for half a year. I arrived two weeks ago but since I only have a sublet contract in Brunswick for 4 weeks I have to start searching again. I used to live in shared student houses/flats for my entire studies (so almost 5 years now) and I really enjoy this form of living. I'm very laid back, easy going, social but also respect the privacy of other. I'm down for almost any kind of sport, go for a hike or roadtrips on the weekend but also like just to hang out at home and enjoy a beer at the CBD or at home. Fun fact: I broke my arm a few years ago, sliding down a ski slope with an upside down table during apres ski in Switzerland :D Ideally the location should be close to uni melbourne since I bought a bike already :) I'm looking forward to here from you! Cheers, Patrick
Hi, My name is Niall. I am originally from the sunny United Kingdom. I am a creative person. When it comes to living, I am clean, respectful but also keen to socialise with my housemates through cooking, games and anything that comes along. I am a good cook and I will always bring many different tea's home from the market/shop that I will share. :)
29 year old Kiwi guy moving to melbs for work. Have a job lined up already so no troubles with rent! Social and house trained! Enjoy a cheeky glass of wine or a good beer! Always up for an adventure and exploring, or heading out for a meal.
Hi there, I'm Laura, I've just moved to Melbourne from Hobart. I'm a nurse and will be working part time fully rotational shift work. I am neat and tidy to live with, happy for some housemate hangs or to do my own thing. I love to travel and love going to music festivals and gigs. Always keen to check out a new brunch spot. Looking for a room around Carlton or Brunswick.
I'm 23 and work full time in management consulting. I've been renting for the past 2 years so I am used to looking after a place and cooking/cleaning for myself. I am generally pretty quiet on weeknights because of work, but on the weekends I enjoy catching up with friends, going shopping and watching sport (go ESSENDON!!!). I also love travelling (my last trip was to Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt & Sri Lanka) and I'm a big Seinfeld buff. Would love to live with someone who is sociable and enjoys chilling out but not a dealbreaker if you're not! :)
Hi I'm Soma, I work part time and am a sports trainer on the weekends. I enjoy all the usual things like hanging out with friends, having a few drinks during the week and exercising. I'm an active, outgoing person who has had sharehouse experience. I am looking to start my own sharehouse northside or move into an existing sharehouse. My values include honesty, respect, mature open dialogue and freedom to be oneself. I'm a fairly chill person and won't invade your space or me time, but I'm also down for being social and having a drink with my housemates. I am looking fo somewhere from northcote or Thornbury to as far out as Heidelberg or rosanna. I am looking for like minded people to create a home with. I'm applying and looking at houses at the moment but it's always better to have a group in order to be more successful. Hence why I'm on here trying to find housemates! Feel free to message me if you have any queries or this sounds like something you'd like to do.
Hi There. :) I'm soon to be homeless as my lease runs out at my current property. I am a small business owner/freelancer, seeking a place with a decent sized bedroom, study/office and lounge. I've been living by myself in a large townhouse up until now so have no problems paying rent, but keen to downsize, or share with someone (maybe in a similar situation/creative/freelancer type). Love having a beer or dinner with housemates, but also need my own space and respect others. I'm into music, guitar, photography, movies, bike riding, snowboarding, and am fairly easy going. Not much phases me, just looking to save a bit on rent and find a new place. Very clean, respectful and responsible. Open to sharing, teaming up, or living alone as long as I have space for my bed, and my desk.
Hiya, I'm moving to Melbourne from Perth to come study Interior Design at RMIT Uni. ideally, looking for my own small unit ...partly furnished with white goods would be even better! Will also consider house shares but no room shares. Up to $200pw is what id be looking at spending (ahh the life of a student) I'm 34 years old, so my partying days are quite behind me. Much prefer quiet nights in reading, listening to music- huuuuge music lover...though don't ask me what i listen to because i have a huge range of tastes ranging from ska, rocksteady, Old R&B, rockabilly, to old funky hip hop and old school metal... coming from a family with musicians i was always taught to keep my music tastes open! Love watching documentaries- mainly true crime, paranormal, Nat Geo, and environmental. Drinking tea, health & wellbeing, Kmart, aromatherapy, cooking, drawing and potting plants makes me happy...but then so does the occasional social drink and going out to a good gig and dinner with friends from time to time. I would consider myself respectful to others ,easy to get along with and very clean and tidy. Though i'am quite a private person, i get along with all walks of life. Also will be looking for a casual job 2 days or 3 nights a week.. Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to know more.
