My name is Simon and I work for NAB. I’ve recently returned from Sydney and am currently staying in thornbury. I’m looking to rent somewhere for the medium to long term that is furnished. I work full time Monday to Friday and spend spare time reading, gym, Netflix, fairly active. I work in Docklands so this is a great location. I like to cook, I spent a lot of time in hospitality before moving to finance. I’m not a room hermit but also respect other people’s need to have their own time and space. I’d be interested in having a look at the room and meeting you if it’s still available. Im not in a rush to move, but the sooner the better. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any more information or to arrange a time to meet. Talk soon.
Hi guys! I have just moved back to Australia and am looking for a room. This past 1.5 years I have been living abroad and lived/worked one year in Berlin - amazing city! I am originally from Adelaide and now moving to Melb. Currently I am still employed by the Westpac Group (I was on a career break while I went away) but not currently working. I just got back from overseas this week, and trying to get my boss to organise a work transfer to Melb part-time. I will also study Community Services in 2019. About me: I am so easy going! I have travelled around the world and led an interesting life in Berlin where I made the move spontaneously, without knowing anyone or anything there! And it was the best year of my life. Found a job, found a place to live and made amazing friends and created amazing memories. As a housemate I am: Clean and neat (this is a vow haha), respectful, fun (always down for a drink and an interesting chat) flexible (believe it or not in Berlin for 6 months I lived in a bedroom/shower - I will explain more when I see you and show you a photo lol) and organised (rent will always be paid on time and I do have savings already put away for that). I used to be a school teacher, a finance case manager and in Berlin a patient care adviser for a digital hospital, but will now pursue what I am truly passionate about which is case management in community services (hence a little extra study). My interests: -Traveling (yeah yeah everyone writes that, but I have been to some interesting places that the usual crowd would not venture to). -Exploring abandoned places (in Berlin I explored an old Nazi hospital which Hitler used to be treated at, an old abandoned chemical factory where we found documents from the 80s still there and laboratories...abandoned houses with magazines from the 70s and old furniture, clothes etc...the list goes on). - Techno music (Berlin exposed me to some amazing under ground techno artists and now I have a sweet collection of awesome tracks). -Art/Graffiti art...I love photographing graffiti art and going to different art exhibitions and galleries. Anyway sorry about the thesis, but I will be your perfect new flatmate (really!) haha and hopefully we can meet! Any other questions just ask. Peace!
Hi! I'm Judith and I'm from Spain where I work as a yoga teacher. I'm looking for a flat to share in Melbourne! I'm a quiet, respectful and a clean person and I like to create a good environment and friendship with people I live with. I like dogs, yoga and travel!
I'm 26 (27 by the time I'll move in) and moving interstate to Melbourne for work! I've lived in Sydney all my life so not only am I on the look out for a little corner of the world to stay with some roommates, but some new friends would be all the better! Most nights I'm happiest with a quiet night in reading or watching something silly on TV, Netflix or Stan, but I'm also up for a party on the odd occasion. I've heard Melbourne is known for its food and music scene so I'm keen to explore too!. I can cook about a grand total of two dishes from scratch (mini quiche and Oreo truffles) so it's safe to say I won't often be hogging the kitchen to cook. Microwave meals are my go-to dinners but happy to experiment and learn if communal eating is your roomie thing. Equally happy to just have a chat and debrief the day while you eat your gourmet meal and I eat my boring food! :) I work in the music/teaching fields, so you'll probably find me humming a tune or playing my keyboard (with the headphones in, don't worry!) every now and then. Living with other creatives would be the dream! I like to keep fit by either jogging in my local area and joining adult dance classes after work. I also love chocolate, cats, and board games.
Hey potential future housemates, I'm a 23 yr old professional originally from Sydney who has been living down in Melbourne for almost a year now. I moved down here to begin my career as a biologist. I'm a easy going person who enjoys spending time with mates, travelling, hitting the beach, trying new food joints, having the occasional beer, offsetting those beers and food by hitting the gym, binge watching tv series, and playing video games. I'm looking for a new place as my current lease will be up mid December. I am a reliable and share-house trained individual who isn't a neat freak but enjoys having a nice looking place that we can all enjoy together. Looking for fun easy going people who are keen to hang out on an afternoon/weekend or cook the occasional meal together, but also respect each other's privacy and space. Either a furnished or unfurnished room will suit. Ideally looking for something more longer term 9-12 months. I am fairly flexible with move in dates, but am looking to move into a new place by late November-early December. Send me a message through flatmates or send text, if you have something that would be a good match. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Jake :)
Hey guys, I’m easy going, fun, respectful and love laughing! That being said I really like my alone time too and I’m quite social so I’ll be out of your hair most of the time. I love to chat, go out for food and drinks and visit exhibitions. I’m studying project management for the next 3 years in the cbd and also work in hospo. Bonus if you have animals!!
I’m a friendly, queer woman who is looking for a home rather than a house. I’m interested in living in a relaxed environment with folks who have great communication skills (open, direct and kind). I’m studying part time to become a naturopath and work as a social worker. I’m a fan of many things including being in nature, hanging out with friends and family, healthy living, conscious communication, sex/body positivity, spirituality, art/craft projects, and dance (5 rhythms/Mojo etc). I love to cook and I’m dairy free, gluten free and mostly vego (I eat fish occasionally when out). I like a balance between social time and alone time and would enjoy occasional meal sharing and hang out time. I’d love to help out in the garden (and grow a bunch of herbs if you don’t already have them). I know it might seem daggy but I’m neat and reliable and I’d like to be in a generally tidy home. I’m a non-smoker and an occasional/social drinker. I've been living in Brunswick East for the past year and sadly our lease is ending and our beloved home is being demolished! I love living on the north side and am looking for another share house whilst I finish my degree (at least another 2 years) and set up my dream of a country retreat.
I am very friendly, calme and respectful. I like some quiet moments on my own but also very friendly, funny and cosy moments with other people.
Hi there! My name is Julius and I'm looking for a new place to live, preferably in the inner-city suburbs. I have a stable full-time job in the CBD and have worked there for almost 2 years. I’m currently living in a share house and have been for 3 years but am now looking for a place closer to work. I'm friendly, tidy and easy to live with. Am not a party animal but enjoy the casual dinner and drink or 3. If you think I'm suitable please get in touch!
Hello! I’m an easy going English girl new to Melbourne on a 1 year working holiday visa. I work in hospitality currently but studied graphic design at uni. I’m very clean and tidy, an animal lover and enjoy cooking and a glass of wine!
I'm Ali from Belgium and my partner Dane is from England. We met while traveling in New Zealand, living in a shared house. We're very relaxed people; we like socializing but aren't loud party people. We're both active people who like to go out for hikes, running, etc. Dane plays guitar and likes to goof around with people. I like to write, draw, etc. We like to keep busy and do new things, and are always up for taking flatmates with us. We enjoy cooking and baking, so you'll probably be rewarded with treats randomly left on the kitchen counter :-) We've been together for over four years and have lived in several countries together.
Steady, career sorted and reliable guy who's laid back and doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm a nut for cleaning and enjoy quiet beers. Always up for a chat and/or drink but will easily let other people do their own thing while I do mine. From the countryside originally, I mostly just read/game/listen to music and watch nerdy tv shows and horror movies to pass the time. I have my own bedroom furniture and some other household furniture (fridge, tv, freezer and top loading washer). I'm a shift worker so sometimes work night shifts
I'm clean, quiet and classy. I like cooking big dinners and spending my days off rugged up in bed with the internet or doing some arty farty stuff. Im really laid back and respect privacy. I definitely lean more towards being introverted. I love movies, games and reading. I'm also looking for a place that's close to a train station. Drop me a message if you have a good room with lots of light!
Relatively clean and quiet single looking for a place closer to work (in Camberwell). I work full time and my passion is drinking red wine and watching terrible reality TV.
Queer trans couple, two dogs (border collie + greyhound), one cat.
Thomas and I have been renting for the last year at $300 a week with no problems. Previously to this I lived with Janna for a year with no problems and Thomas with Jali with no problems. All of us from rural NSW, looking to move to Melbourne for further study and more opportunities. I just finished full time study and plan on getting full time work for a little bit before going back to studying, Thomas will also be looking for full time work along side with Janna and Jali. All of us are fairly nerdy 😬. Thomas and Jali enjoy a good game of MTG, and love playing video games. Janna loves Fortnite and playing Pokemon Go. I am a little bit of an all rounder but love sci fi movies particularly Dr Who, I also really love getting out of the house and exploring as well as going to the beach.
Hello, me and my partner have recently moved to Melbourne. We're looking for somewhere to stay for the short term up until we go away for Christmas. We're easy going, tidy and respectful people. We enjoy meeting people but also do our own stuff. We love food - eating out and cooking and are interested in nutrition and health. Both like to swim and do yoga sometimes :)
Hello, I'm Nick! I'm a respectful, positive and friendly person who likes a decent level of organisation. I'm pretty good at cleaning up after myself having had 1 year and a half expedience living in the same share house. I'm cool to hang out with house mates, that said sometimes I do like to just keep to myself at times too. I'm working at a call centre 5 days a week, hours are very variable week to week though, could be anything from 8am starts to 11pm finishes. I tend to prepare my own dinner at home if I have the time, my hobbies include improv theatresports, boardgames, basking in the sun when the weather's good, and interesting discussions. I cook an awesome chocolate cake too :) Vaguely nerdy interests in doctor who.
Hi! I'm Joey - I'm eighteen years old and from country Victoria. I'm looking for some accommodation in Melbourne for 2019, while I study at University. I'd love a place to make the transition from country to city a little easier! I'm an easy-going, LGBT chica who enjoys a bit of sociality with balanced personal space. In my spare time, I like to dabble in some dancing, walking or art-gallery inspecting. I'm a foodie who enjoys keeping clean and decorating my area with little bits of my personality - such as photos of my pupper from home and some of my artwork from school. I'd be a great asset to your company as I love watching shows and movies, I enjoy a long chat over coffee or red wine, and I certainly love making new friends!
Hey there, I'm South African, 37 yo, been in Melbourne about a month now. I'll be here until the middle of next year at the very least, hopefully longer. I'm currently working as a bicycle tech while mulling over more career orientated work options: either a PhD or a position in an environmental consultancy role. About me: My background is in the natural sciences, working as an ecologist at the University of Cape Town. I've been on a sabbatical for the last year, fulfilling a dream of cycling up Africa. The second part of the dream was to live in a new city for a couple of years, so here I am! I'm excited to be here and looking for a place to settle so I can get properly stuck into a new life here. I'd consider myself easy going, uncomplicated, neat and tidy, and totally happy to pull my weight around the house. I wouldn't say I'm the life of the party, but I can wiggle my extremities if the mood strikes me. Honestly, I'm more comfortable at home with friends, good food and conversation...and maybe a board game, some friendly banter. I enjoy a drink and good conversation and I'm partial to a good book or series. Don't mind a bit of cooking either. I'm happiest outside though, doing something active. Specific outdoor interests include rock climbing, hiking, cycling, surfing, kayaking, camping etc. I'm keen to get involved in those activities, with others, as I settle into a Melbourne routine. Hope I get to meet you :) Sam
Hi, I'm Giuliana, looking for a longer-term place to call home in a sharehouse with another 2 or more people. About me: During the week I work 8.30-5, 4 days per week at a university library, and spend 2-3 nights a week at yoga. Aside from yoga, I love hiking, camping and nature connection, travel, cooking (and eating!), motorbike riding, spending quality time with friends and family, veggie and herb gardening; so would love a place with a decent sized backyard with a veggie garden, or the space for one as well as for composting; all the better if there are housemates who'd like to share in this as it's more fun that way, plus I have a lot more to learn! Who I am and what I’m seeking: I'm a thoughtful, open-minded, respectful, grounded, tidy, sustainability-focused person looking to share with other gentle, caring people with similar values; and amongst all of that sharing a healthy dose of humour is most welcome. I'm looking for a longer-term share house (which is why I’ve written so much!) so it's important to me to find a place with people where we can create a healthy household dynamic; which can only really come through clarity in communication. While this can be difficult at times and we’re all learning, it’s super important for me and the people I share with to be willing to try to communicate openly, gently and respectfully to the best of our abilities. I have a fulfilling social life, however I'd really like to live with others who are more than just people I live in the same house with; I'd like to share communal meals and chats regularly. However I also need alone time, and am respectful of other people’s need for that also. I'm currently used to preparing my own meals and composting, but am very open and welcoming to communal living and food sharing. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I rarely eat meat and I've happily lived with vegans and vegetarians before. About the house: In terms of the house itself, some things I’d really like (though not essential, unless there’s none of them) are: - Gas stove top (for cooking! Electric or induction are a bit limiting) - Undercover parking for my motorbike (I have a cover for it, but much easier to just park under something) - A backyard that gets some sunlight and has, or has space to grow herbs and veggies (even if it’s just concrete that you can put plant pots on) - An older house with character, with larger rooms and more natural light (I’m not a big fan of those townhouses going up all over the place) - I’m particularly interested in moving to Thornbury, Preston, Fairfield, Northcote, North Fitzroy (not necessarily in that order), but surrounding suburbs like Ivanhoe, Alphington, Brunswick East and Coburg may also be suitable. I have a mish-mash of furniture including a fridge (oldish), and a washing machine (newish). I'm willing to shed what's not needed though as most of it I've collected along the way from family and friends. I have some lovely indoor plants which I'd love to share with my new housemates as some of them are little big for the bedroom! I don’t have a particular date I need to be out of my current place by, but I’d ideally like to have at least 2-3 weeks notice so my existing housemate has a chance to find a new sharer also. Would love to hear from you if you think I'd suit your share home.
About me: I am a 27 y.o musician working full time in hospo and trying put a band together. Also thinking of joining school comming year for my trade qualifications but not sure. Love to cook, play bass guitar, ride bikes, travel and am always up for chat whenever. Over all chilled and clean guy.
I am a newly graduated nurse moving to Melbourne. Quiet, clean, friendly and open-minded. I'm vegan but don't mind living with people who aren't. Looking for a home, not just people who co-exist. & hoping to find a relaxed household that doesn't mind having people over - although I am not a big partyer. Currently teaching myself french, and into hiking, spontaneous adventures and circus arts :) (And I loveeee dogs and cats.)
