Generally won't be around for over 12 hours of the day. I rise early and get home late. If I have a weekend off I like to get out and go camping/bushwalking if I'm not staying around to play with my pony. Easy to get a long with. Happy to sit and chill in my spare time or binge watch netflix. I come with multiple gaming consoles. Can be social but also happy to keep to myself occasionally.
Gday! After a wonderful year together in our house in Ainslie we are looking to move on to a new place, not least because the owners are moving in to start their new family and it’d probably be a bit awkward if we stay with them. We are eager to welcome an extra person (or two!) into our awesome house group, both to open up our housing options but also because we enjoy meeting new people. We are all professionals with busy working lives but who love hanging out together. Whether that be evening debates, after-work G&Ts, Sunday night movies, camping in the great national parks, and of course dangerously fun nights out at Canberra’s most esteemed dancing venues. The right person to join our team will be sociable, respectful, a good communicator, and mid-25+ and working fulltime—a bit quirky is also encouraged! We hope to find a new place before mid-December, preferably within 20mins of the City centre, where we all work. If you think you will get along with us and are interested in a similar type of rental, please reach out and tell us about yourself: background, interests and hobbies, what you get up to on the weekends, and what you do for work. We are currently inspecting and applying for 4+ bedroom properties so let us know soon! Olly I work full time, enjoy a busy social life and explore the outdoors. I moved from Freo in early 2017 and love all the opportunities Canberra has to offer. I have lived in share-houses for the last seven years and value the social lifestyle that it brings. In my spare time I go running, hiking, camping/4wd, kayaking, skiing, reading, and frequent Canberra's great bars. I work in international development and have lived and travelled in over 20 countries. Always love to get to know new, different people and am very open minded and laid back. Nick Nick works in research management and is a Canberra local, despite his hippy roots in Byron Bay. He has a beautiful and affectionate heeler-husky who enjoys daily walks and swimming. Nick enjoys writing drum and bass (on headphones!), travel, fitness, and talking movies, music and current affairs. Toby Toby is starting a grad program in 2019. He is new to Canberra and has been completely converted. He enjoys making the most of everything available in Canberra. Toby likes being healthy and active as well as being social, outgoing, engaging discussion and current affairs.
My name is Ellie, I am 26 and work full time in health. I am moving to Canberra for a new position. I have been living rurally for the past 2 years. I am currently an Engineering student at the Australian National University and I also work at a clothes boutique store at Woden Shopping Centre part-time. I am originally from Brisbane and moved to Canberra two years ago. My hobbies include computer games, cooking, reading and hanging out with people over a glass of wine or cup of tea. I am a very laid back person and am always up for a chat.
Clean, responsible and organised individual who is open and fun to be around. Enjoy cooking (so there will always be tasty treats for my housemates), good wine, hiking and exploring activities in the city. Up for socialising and making new friends, as I will be new to the city (coming from Melbourne). I have lived in share houses previously and therefore have a collection of homewares and white goods if needed. I also am familiar with leasing a house, setting up internet/facilities etc and liaising with real estate agents.
Full time APS robot but I make up for it with a great wine collection and a love of yelling at pollies on the TV. I'm relaxed about a lot of house things and happy to do what's needed. I enjoy playing guitar (but not late at night), reading and getting excited about the far too distant return of game of thrones!
I am a late 20s full time professional working with Accenture ANZ. I am originally from the country and love to share a few Bevs on weekends and watch the footy. my spare time usually includes Cycling, Boxing, Gym, Tinkering with my car or computer and drinking some hipster beers. I will admit I am a mostly serious person nor a party loving person but I am reliable for just about anything that needs doing (like finding out why the net is out again). please Send me a hello!
Hi I’m pretty easy-going, open minded lefty. I like my home to be the quite place I retreat to so, I go out to socialise. I like a clean kitchen & love a Netflix binge. I am careful with electricity usage. Mostly I love a laugh, Conversation cards, food, arts & a puzzle.
Hello :) My name is Manjari, originally from Melbourne, and I currently work full time in the Public Service. I'm friendly and social but like my own space and respect the privacy of others. I'm clean and tidy by nature. My current lease is almost up so looking to move into a new home before mid-December :)
Hi, my name is Sean, I'm 41, I work as a business analyst, which is basically a 9 to 5er. I'm a social guy who likes to keep fit and play music. I also do most of my own cooking, and would be happy to share that with housemates.
Hi, I’m Phoebe. I’m a primary teacher who works hard during the week and I love to socialise on weekends. I’m moving from a regional area in Northern NSW and will be looking for a place from mid Dec or earlier for the right place. Being from the country, I love fresh air and green space and getting out and about. I would prefer to move into an already established house, but would also be happy to team up and get a place. I am a clean and tidy housemate, who lives an active and healthy lifestyle. I love playing hockey and going to the gym! I also don’t mind a cheeky mid-week wine and quality convos. I have a 2 year old miniature dachshund called Edwina. She’s a legend and if you’re a dog person you won’t be able to help but loving her too! We are super easy going and love going for big walks. I’ll be down that way a few times over the coming term so if I sound like I might be a fit for you, let me know and we can meet up over a coffee and a chat!
I am 23 years old and work full time in the public service. I spend most my time at work, but otherwise I enjoy staying active, playing sport and being outside. When I am home, I just like to relax, listen to music and watch Netflix. I am reliable, neat and respectful of others and their privacy.
We're a married couple moving from Sydney to Canberra. We're looking for somewhere to live for around 6 weeks while we find a long-term house. We're mostly quiet and keep to ourselves, but very friendly.
Hi, My name is Pat and my rabbit and I need a place to live. I am open to living anywhere that does not have a cat or dog as I am allergic. That is the only hard and fast rule that I have that I can think of. Me: I am a quiet non-smoker who is generally happy with a quiet night in playing video games or watching netflix. Charlotte: She Is a quiet litter trained bunny who loves snacks and being grumpy. She would live in my room with me. She doesn't chew baseboards, carpet etc. I would be happy to pay a pet bond etc for her.
We’re two friends, who enjoy socialising but also respect people’s space 🙂. We’ve lived in sharehouses before so we know the importance of being clean and considerate to other roommates. We have a great sense of humour too. Looking to move mid December to early January.
Hi! My name is Lucy, I currently live in Sydney and will be moving to Canberra in 2019 to commence my studies in International Relations at ANU. I currently work part time as a Disability Support Worker, and plan to continue this upon my arrival to the ACT. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, performing in and watching theatre. I am a tidy, relatively private and independent yet sociable person. I have a simple lifestyle, however enjoy going out from time to time. My moving dates are flexible, and any time between January 28th- February 16th 2019 will suffice. Thank you!
Hi! I am from Melbourne and moving to Canberra in Feb 2019 for a full-time graduate job at ANU. I am looking for a room to rent or people to share a place with. I enjoy bike rides, binging Netflix and relaxing. I am a non-smoker, I like to go out with friends and have a good time but mainly love to stay in and have a quiet night at home. I'm open to sharing meals together and having a friendly roommate environment. I'll never say no to a chat! I'm happy to share chores around the house and keep communal spaces clean and tidy.
I am a postdoctoral researcher working in ANU. I come from Kerala, aka God's own country, located at the southwest tip of India. I also have lived abroad in France for the last 3 years. I am friendly and social, with the experience of having lived in shared accommodation. My full time job ensures that you won't see me much during weekdays. When I am staying in, I enjoy a bit of chat, reading, watching movies and (last but not the least) cooking. I am an outdoor person, so I will try and get out as much as I can during weekends.
