After spending the past two years back home in Geelong, I’m looking to spread my wings and leave my Sleepy Hollow behind for the big smoke! My name is Gene. I’m 25, queer and looking for a place to call home in Melbourne. Formerly a social media guru up in Sydney, I returned to my roots to act as a full-time carer and now am needing to return to work - but the commuting from down south-west is far from ideal! Bringing with me over ten years of experience living in shared and independent housing, I already come broken-in as a domestic goddess and am hoping to settle into a peaceful environment with some likeminded, LGBTIQ+ friendly and/or Friends of Dorothy. When I’m not out working on my photography portfolio, enjoying some peaceful time in nature or hanging out with my friends and partner; I like to practice my cartography, read, talk politics or spend a quiet evening in with a Netflix binge or playing a game on my PS4. I’ve lived in an expansive list of shared environments and do prefer the quieter, homely side of living these days. If you’re looking for a quiet, respectful and considerate person who refuses to smoke indoors (and can quit/not smoke on-property), can never say no to having the odd house family meal or glass of wine - let’s chat!
Im new to Melbourne, here on a working holiday visa. I’m a very easy going guy. Happy to socialise but also happy to keep myself to myself, very adaptable to whoever I live with. I have a few friends living in the city already so will spend a lot of time with them but as I said if the vibe of the house is to socialise at home I’m also happy to do that. I am working at AIA in the city on a Monday-Friday 9-5 basis. I’m very clean and respectful of those I live with. Let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey Gang, I am beginning the process of moving back to Melbourne from Brisbane. I'm originally from Tassie, I lived in Melbourne (Carlton) for a few years before moving up to Bris in 2017 to develop a tech start up. Now is the time I want to move back to Melbourne to settle long term, and I am able to continue my role. (I will be travelling back an forth to Brisbane & Sydney from time to time) I'm generally just a nice, courteous and open minded person who enjoy's all the usual (and unusual) cultural aspects of life. I have lived in share houses for the duration of my 20's. I understand the in's and out's of sharing a home with people and am able to communicate with, and appreciate people on all levels - this isn’t my first rodeo. I am north-side inclined, however, will be happy in most places close to the city with a good sense of community. Looking to make the move in the next 4-6 weeks but tbc. Best Oli ..
Hey I'm Thom! I'm looking for a new home for my partner Harry and I. I've lived in Melbourne for about two years and study politics, philosophy and economics. When I'm not studying the driest combination of degrees ever I love going for a drink and a dance, riding my bike, looking at clothes I can't afford or cooking meals I'm definitely not capable of pulling off. As for Harry, he's a media and comms student who loves board games and video games, but also non-dorky things such as trivia, film, exercising and animals. We both enjoy time to ourselves or a good chat over a drink or coffee. Happy to shout you either or both if you want to get to know us! Thom and Harry
Hey everyone! My girlfriend and me are looking for a comfortable room and welcoming people in a share house. Both of us are very easy-going and sociable! We love going out and meeting new people but also enjoy relaxed evenings at home. Our interests are cooking, sports, music and traveling. When it comes to living/ sharing space we are very clean, organised and reliable when it comes to doing chores in the household. Both of us are eager to find a job in Melbourne, just because we would love to gain this experience and earn some extra money before continuing our travels. We would love to hear from you if you think we can match your expectations and ideas.
Friendly, responsible, and easy to get along with! After being divided by countries for years my partner and I have worked very hard to finally be together, I strive to make that permanent and create a home with them! We're open-minded to pretty much anything, but an absolute MUST is accessibility. As one of us has a disability, it is critical to our decision and our needs. A few steps are fine but a whole flight of steps would be impossible. We both love animals, though, so pets are completely fine with us! Hopefully we can work something out with you!
Graphic Designer/Chef, works full time in the city. Relaxed, straight forward, independent, friendly, clean, vegan, aspiring minimalist. Very active person, enjoys runs around the tan, yoga, fishing, rock climbing, surfing, and snowboarding. Loves nature and being outdoors but also loves some downtime. Often works long hours and is out enjoying life during weekends. So will always have personal space around the house but also likes to hang out every once in a while; basically just a regular nice girl. Looking for a large unfurnished bedroom in a sharehouse or a like minded individual to find a flat with. Move out date around 21st February. Hit me up 👍🏽
I recently moved to Melbourne from New Zealand. I am a 29 year old professional. I love to travel, listen to music, dancing and kickboxing. I am pretty easy going and very tidy, I am ideally looking for a female flatmate who has similar qualities.
Very tidy, respectful and sympathic person. Happy to meet new people and make new friends. Coming from Germany I live in Australia for three years now and currently study in Melbourne for another year. Preferably looking for a single room near the CBD or Uni respectively in a shared house to be around other people but simultaneously enjoy private space.
Hey (: Just arrived in Melbourne for exchange studies as a business student at UniMelb. I am originally from lovely Tel Aviv, Israel. Friends say I'm warm and friendly, and I love hanging out and sharing a beer, talk, or going out to see live music / art / just a drink. I am tidy and cleanliness in the house is important to me. I love playing music, and I'd be happy to house with mates who don't mind an acoustic guitar playing in my room from time to time - although I'm also very considerate with the times and when it's not a good time. - Cooper
Im a student from India. I love playing the guitar and harmonica if you're up for a jam. I also play regular soccer and spend a lot of time bicycling. Im usually fairly quiet and spend most of my time at home studying, but would love a chat every now and then!
Hi my name is Michelle, I’m 28 and working full time as a receptionist. I’m pretty easy going and clean, I’m always up for a chat but also like my own time as well. I love music and I play drums (of course if noise is a problem I’m more than happy to put mutes on my kit (which lowers the sound by 80%) so as not to disturb other housemates) I also love reading, eating delicious vegan food and exploring new areas! I have a beautiful cat Jett who is just over one year old, he is a bit shy at first but once he gets to know you you will get to see how playful and funny he is.
We're three Swedish exchange students, soon to commence our studies at the University of Melbourne and Monash University. We're looking for accommodation, ideally three private bedrooms, starting as soon as possible until the end of June. On our spare time we enjoy grabbing a coffee and traveling. We also enjoy a beer or two on the weekends. We all have our own apartments in Sweden and we are therefore familiar with the responsibilities associated with owning an apartment, e.g. always paying rent on time and staying tidy. Please contact me if you have something that would fit us :)
Fun, outgoing and adventurous person. I work full time Tuesday to Saturday. I’m very open minded and easy to get on with. I regularly attend the gym and enjoy socialising with friends.
Hey future roomies 😊! I am a 23 year old Irish girl currently in Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I’m working full time in a early learning center. Getting a bit fed up of moving from hostel to hostel and want something more permanent for approximately one month before I venture off to do my farm work. I am solo traveller, super chill, clean and tidy. Share room with another female or private room is preferred but I’m flexible!
I am a software developer working at IBM. I have two degrees (Computer Science and Arts) and way too many books (although they are safely in storage, never fear). My hobbies/interests include gym, kickboxing, learning foreign languages, travel, hiking, socializing etc. I am a reasonably easy going person, although I am not looking for a housemate who would want to have rowdy parties or similar on weeknights coz I need my beauty sleep yall. I was born in Melbourne and have lived here most of my life, but I am quite comfortable with people from other cultures and would be happy living with people from different backgrounds.
I’m 24, working full-time in digital marketing at David Jones. I’m neat, love to socialise but also enjoy time to myself. I’m looking for a place with friendly, open people who enjoy spending time together. I’m a bit of clean freak so would prefer somewhere where space and cleanliness is respected. I live for AFL, brunch and Netflix. I also cook myself dinner 5 times a week, so will pull my weight with chores etc. I’m quite busy with work during the week, but always keen for a wine and a chat. Love doing things on the weekend - shopping, exploring, going out etc. I also have an adorable 13 year old Moodle (dog) who I’d need to bring with me. He’s super chill, placid and loves affection. Happy to hang around all day, doesn’t need to be exercised often, loves being treated like a little human.
Actually I have 4 casual jobs and I’m student of a business course. I love invite some friends to come to my house and drink beer or wine or whatever hahah But I also love stay at home just relaxing and watching movies. I’m from São Paulo, Brazil. I’m looking for a single room, I just wanna my space.
I am very fun and easy-going person. I love watching movies, hiking, and sports. Tbh, wouldn't say not to fun activities. I enjoy cooking up BBQ once a while for people to enjoy. I enjoy wholesome relationships with my housemates. Just finished a 6-mouth internship and I am currently moving back to Clayton.
Work in finance full time, love my coffee, food and the occasional vino! I am very social but also value my own time. Occasiosly bake and happy to share! Clean, tidy and respectful. Please note I do have a beautiful Russian Blue cat who needs to come with me. Dex is indoor and enjoys chicken and games of fetch. Looking to move pretty soon and the closer to the city the better. Hope to hear from you soon!
