Hey! I’m Sarah and I’m looking for a room to rent from mid-late Feb (dates flexible) when I move over to Canberra from Perth. Looking for a lease preferably at least 6 months with an option to continue, or to team up and start a share house.
I am starting my Masters in Economics at ANU from 20 February, and am looking to relocate from Sydney to Canberra in the next few weeks. A bit about me: I am 23 and easy going, looking to move in with likeminded people. I have been sharing with my housemates in Sydney since March last year, so am well versed in the art of share housing. I know when to keep to myself, but also happy to share the occasional dinner/drinks. I clean up after myself always, and contribute to the household regularly. I am easy going, and will be working part time and studying the rest of the time. I also make a great cup of tea.
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
Hey Everyone! My name's Gurpreet, I've just moved to Canberra from Auckland, New Zealand to start up my career, which is located in Barton. A bit about me - I’m 23, easy to get along with, and will be a clean flatmate. I'm an avid basketball fan, a lover of food, and am keen to meet new people in and around Canberra. If I sound like a suitable candidate as a new flatmate, feel free to message me and we can grab a coffee. Thanks! 🙂 Gurpreet
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
Ideally I'd like to live with like-minded people who work hard, lead busy and social lives and enjoy relaxing with a drink on the weekends or getting amongst the outdoors. I'll be new to Canberra in 2017, so will be up for exploring surrounding areas and meeting new people. I love skiing and snowboarding, so I'll likely be away at Perisher and Thredbo for plenty of weekend trips throughout winter. I'm tidy, good with money and have never had any issues with shared living - so feel free to get in contact if you think you have a suitable place in Kingston, Barton, Parkes or any surrounding areas. I'm open to ideas! Kieran
I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Originally from the Gold Coast moving to Canberra for work.Clean and tidy, quite sociable but do enjoy and respect personal space. Enjoy reading, health and fitness, relaxing with a few drinks and occasionally golfing.
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but pretty relaxed person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
I am an easy going bloke who mostly does my own thing. I am a 9-5 professional (work for Telstra), very organised in terms of automating the house bills, rent and all that jazz.. I like to catch up with mates, go fishing, explore restaurants, movie nights, quiet time and various other things. I would like to share with like minded easy people. I can't do furnished house as I have too much of my own furnishings and would prefer to provide that. I am looking to move around March 2017 when the lease runs out. Looking for $200-$500 per week
Hey guys, my name is Riley. I am moving down to Canberra from QLD, to work full-time with the APS. I consider myself a clean, easy-going and respectful person who is happy to socialise and spend time by myself, as well. I can pay rent or bond in advance.
I am an easy-going person who is currently staying in Adelaide and looking for a place to stay in Canberra for my industry placement. I love to socialize with friends and meeting new people all around the world. I love to adventure and love being tidy.
Am very easy going and easy to get along with. Enjoy a good glass of wine with dinner after work. I love watching sport of any kind that is on. Am very social but can respect people's space and privacy when needed.
I am starting a masters course at ANU in 2017 and am looking for either an existing sharehouse or someone looking to set one up. Preferably wouldn't want more than 3 in the house, and postgrad or later year undergrads would be ideal. I am quiet to live with, I do spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen, but I'm not a complete hermit. Friendly housemates who are similar and want to be able to be left to do their work but frieldly and easy going would ever good. Move date is flexible, early to mid Jan would be perfect. If you have a room available or are also looking to get a new share house going close to ANU sms or give me a call and we can meet up. Cheers, Stu.
Hi all! I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne in February to take up a graduate role in Barton. I love going out for food/drinks, exploring the city, going to the gym, or having chilled nights in at home. I'm very organised and clean, love a bit of cooking at home sometimes and just relaxing on the couch. I'm super excited about moving to Canberra, so would love to live with someone who knows the area well and can show me some cool places!! I am looking for a place to share with 1-2 other people that is new and close to either the City or to Barton. I would prefer to have an ensuite bathroom or my own bathroom. I have no pets, and I don't smoke. Please let me know if I would suit your place!! Caitlin :)
I'm from Perth moving to Canberra for a grad program! I love to cook and am a very clean person. I like my privacy and hoping for a roommate who is the same but loves a drink or three on the weekend. I'll be working full time and would like to find a cool netball team! I like listening to music, bike riding, and Netflix binges.
Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
I'm a 26-year-old lawyer from Melbourne, moving to Canberra to work at the courts. I'm house-trained (having lived in share houses for a while now), neat and clean, but not to the unliveable extent. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, work a lot, tend to keep myself pretty busy, but am also a social and friendly housemate. My role requires me to move to Brisbane in July, but if that's okay for you, I'm a fun and dependable housemate, respectful of space, and easy to live with.
My friend and I are about to begin studying at CIT and are looking to find a place ASAP. Friendly, easy going guys, up for a chat but will keep out of your way. We both enjoy photography so we would love to find someone the would be cool with us putting framed photos on the walls :)
Hi! I am an incoming APS Grad student (Dept of Energy/Environment). I am an outgoing and fun person to hang around with while still being very neat, organised and accommodating of other people. I love travelling, socialising and playing sports like soccer/basketball and doing outdoors activities like skiing and hiking.
I'm a 26 year old former teacher from Sydney who's entering the public service. I'm a very easygoing guy who isn't picky about anything and is happiest when everyone gets along. I've lived at home all my life, but I'm currently the oldest of 4 brothers at home and my parents work a lot, so I'm heavily involved in house duties such as washing up, cooking for everyone, cleaning etc so I don't shirk away from keeping a house tidy! I'm a sociable guy who's keen to make friends with his housemates and bond over whatever activities they like, especially the brunch kind, but I also do like my down time chilling out with Netflix, playing some Playstation or reading up pretty much anything on the net. I watch and play a whole heaps of sports, so if you're particularly keen on basketball, any form of footy or soccer, you can be sure I'll slot in well! I also come from a Lebanese household so my mum plans on sending me back with a whole heap of food every so often, so if you like Leb cuisine, everybody will be happy for days!
I'm an engineer, who once dreamt of being an artist. I love reading (all-sorts including comics), catching up with friends, keeping active and working on random projects - I sew, I bake, I mould, I make. I like to learn or work at tasks and projects that catch my fancy, and every now and again I act. Beyond that, I'm tidy, reliable, relatively laid back and a non-smoker. I'm fairly easy going; a bit of an introvert, but happy to socialise. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
I'm Josephine and I'm moving back to Canberra after some years in Sydney and rural NSW. I'm a full-time high school French teacher, and I'd love to live around the South Side of Canberra to commute to school. I've had some experience living in share houses. I think they're great because you get to meet new people. I'm a tidy, considerate housemate who is always willing to cook dinner, pitch in to clean up or enjoy a drink after work. As I am employed full time, I would be away from the house during the day. I enjoy reading and movies. I'm from a small town outside of Canberra so I'd be back there on the odd weekend too. I'd love to go to trivia nights or join a netball team this year too! If I sound like someone you'd like to live with, let me know :)
Helloo! 24yo female moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for a new full-time position in the APS, and looking for a chilled but social household to join. Looking in the southern Canberra area, around Kingston/Forrest/Griffith but also flexible in that. Would like to think I'm a pretty relaxed and fun housemate who can keep things clean and tidy, and have a bit of household chat or banter but also have some quiet time. Have to admit to a love of coffee, and am keen to check out the social and cultural scene in Canberra. But also enjoy following news and current affairs, watching sport, keeping active and a little homemade cooking. Any questions just let me know! Fiona
I'm clean and tidy and I want to come home to a nice quiet place where I can chill. During the week I gym or play sports most nights of the week. On the weekends I like to catch up with friends or get out of the house.
Hi! I'm Shelley. I'm 25 and moving to Canberra in February to start an APS career. My move date is flexible, but the latest I'd like to move is the 24th of February. I'm clean, tidy and a non-smoker. I'm not a chef, but I can cook and I'm happy to share meals. I'm quiet and respectful, but I'd like to get along well with my flatmates and live in a sociable environment. I like to read, exercise, and I'll watch most things on TV. I'm also happy to get out and about and try new things in a new city. I look forward to hearing from you!
I am currently working full-time as a public servant after moving to Canberra a year ago. I love to cook and make a great cup of coffee. I also tend to keep busy during the week, but enjoy winding down occasionally with a drink and a chat. I'm easy-going and keen to meet new people, but I'm also happy to kick it with my Netflix subscription. I also got an IKEA voucher for Christmas so could always pick up a POÄNG if required (or other useful household items).
I have just finished my Honours year in archaeology. Moving to Canberra for a graduate role that begins mid-February with the National Library. I am 26 years old. Well travelled, quiet, and a laid-back individual that likes to both socialise and spend time alone. I love to cook (my current roommates say they will miss my cooking), I clean up after myself, and more than happy to pitch in etc. I enjoy a few social drinks after a long week, enjoy an occasional Netflix session or movie night, and I love my yoga. I have a Mazda 2. I am also a bit of a nerd. I'm looking to share with people (male or female), close to Barton, or close enough to public transport to make that trip for work. I will be working full-time commencing mid-February 2017. Happy with a house, apartment, studio etc. I am looking for a shorter lease at this stage (6-9 months) while I settle in to Canberra, and look for a more permanent house where my beautiful Border Collie can join me eventually. If I find a suitable place straight away, I will be looking for a long term lease.
I'm a busy late-20s professional working full time in the public service. I'm from Canberra, have been living in Sydney for the last couple of years but returning home for work. I'm sociable and easygoing, extremely clean and respectful of people's space. I love fashion, food, reading, tv and movies.
Neat, good personal hygiene, great company, hilarious and humble. Moving from Melbourne to the our country's fabulous (ahem) capital to further my career and pursue higher(er) education. For fun I like to eat and shop beyond my means, not exercise and read. A bit to much. Kthanksbai!
My name is Caila Rothwell, and I begin as a New Graduate Dietitian at The Canberra Hospital in early February. I am looking for a home with someone that is laid-back, clean and friendly. I love having my own time, but also love company over the occasional dinner or tea. I love cooking, the outdoors, my friends and family, a feel-good movie (disney), board games and the simple things in life. I am very personable, flexible, easy to talk to and treat everyone with respect. I love animals, so if there are animals in the house that is no issue.
Hi, I'm Kai and moving down from Sydney as a grad in an economics related field. I love to check out cafes, listen to indie and jazz music, read, and play board games (I have a growing collection that is just asking to be played). I'm also learning German and French. I'm keen to hang out and socialise, but I'm equally happy relaxing at home. I have shared happily with flatmates for a couple of years now. I'm friendly and keep things in a clean state. Looking for a share place that's pretty central in Canberra. Please feel free to contact me!
Hello 😊 I am a recent graduate from Brisbane and moving to Canberra for full time work in the public service. People often say I am easy-going & responsible. I am clean and tidy and I also enjoy cooking. I like to get out on weekends to socialise, however I also value quite time. I love travelling, seeing places and trying new things.
Hello! My name is Nicole, I'm 25 and have just moved to Canberra from Sydney for a 1 year contract new graduate job in the hospital. I'm looking forward to exploring what this lovely city has to offer! I love good coffee, wine and baking.
I'm a Melbournian with a double degree in Accounting and Economics. Just picked up a graduate position at the Department of Agriculture. If you need good coffee or your tax returns done, I'm your man. I've got a wide range of interests and don't mind being adventurous by trying new things. These include board games, kayaking, running dinners, experimental cooking, etc. I'm a fairly laid-back individual who values cleanliness and mutual respect. If there is anything else you wish to know, shoot me a message. Thank you, Andy
Hey everyone I'm Sunil and I am due to start work as a public servant in the beginning of February in Canberra. I'll be relocating from Perth and am looking for a place to stay in as soon as possible. I don't have any specific preferences when it comes to housemates and open to stay with anyone. A little bit about me, I enjoy watching and playing sports including tennis, soccer and cricket and up for a jog or a gym session throughout the week. I am working towards being an okay cook (currently a little hit and miss with my cooking) and am willing to do the occasional cook off with my future flatmates. Apart from sports and cooking, I am a bit of a book worm, enjoy playing board games as well as watching TV shows and movies on Netflix and I do the occasional binge watch when I have the time. I am clean and organised and am very considerate to privacy and downtime when needed. I don't consider myself an extrovert but nonetheless like to socalise and spend time with friends rather than spending all my time at home. Lastly I would like to have the occasional dinner and drink with future housemates and I would love to be friends rather than just another person living on the premises. Hope to meet some of you soon!

Hey, I'm a 25 year old working professional. I moved to Canberra in January 2015, but have been living overseas for work for the past six months. I'm pretty laid-back, and am respectful of peoples' personal space and privacy. I'm equally happy to do my own thing or share a meal/glass of wine/beer after a long day. Hi everyone, My name is Ilse, 27 years old, working in government in Canberra until 28 February. I work fulltime, know how to cook, don't listen to loud music and will be out a lot! My current lease will run out by the end of the month and I'm looking for a short term housing solution just for the month of February, until I have to go back to The Netherlands! Hey I'm Dylan, a Canberra native in my mid-20s about to start a grad job with the Department of Health and looking to move a little closer to work. The job is a full-time position starting early February. Ideally I'd like to move late January but am very flexible with when this happens. I'm quite active and enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym and playing lots of soccer. I also like reading and playing guitar (or at least pretending I can). I am friendly but also fairly quiet. I enjoy socialising and quiet time in equal measures; I'm always up for a chat but also respectful of personal space. I like to be out and about but also enjoy a slow night in and am keen to try new things. Clean, considerate and chilled (the three Cs) and looking for a place with people who have similar values.
I love meeting new people but am also fairly low key as a roommate. I love cooking and baking and just food in general. I like hiking and head to the coast reasonably often to camp or just hang out for the day. I've lived in many share house and believe that they key to happy houses is that everyone should pull their own and communicate well Thanks for your consideration :)
I'm an easygoing, polite and tidy public servant who enjoys cooking, baking and hiking. I moved from Sydney to Canberra to start a grad role with one of the Departments. Out when socialising you'll find me having a good time, but at home I like to keep (and give) space to both my roomie(s) and myself, as I see a home as a place for rest and re-energising. A
