Hey there, I am an IT Professional. I am a very calm person and a non-smoker. I spend most of the time with my laptop. I work fulltime and I spend a lot of time at office :-) I am an Indian. I am not new to Australia, I spent my last 5.5 years in Perth. I have been renting apartments / rooms for the last 8+ years in Singapore and Australia without any issues. I am known to keep my place very clean and tidy at all times. Please drop an email to know more about me.
Hello, I am relocating to Canberra to begin a 3 year researcher position at ANU. I am a Spanish national and have lived abroad in shared places in Florence, Auckland, and Melbourne previously. I am a social person but also respect people's privacy. Am a clean and tidy person, willing to pitch in for all household chores. In my down time I enjoy running, sports, and going out for good meals. As a bonus, I can cook Italian and Spanish dishes very well.
Easy going guy into fitness, Reading, movies and more. I enjoy meeting new people, enjoy working out and always happy to have a workout partner! I enjoy anime and cartoona as well as tv series online and movies, loving marvel and dc shows these days!
I'm an economist for a consulting firm in Canberra. I grew up in Adelaide - I started working in Canberra last year, then spent some time off due to illness. I'm moving back to the capital now. I play a bit of guitar (into headphones!) and otherwise love a good cup of coffee, a bit of political banter, or a drink at the end of the week.
I'm looking to join or create a mixed sharehouse with a great vibe - ideally one where everyone is keen on the occasional house 'family' dinner and the odd weekend adventure (be it camping down the coast… or brunch). I work as a public servant, play hockey and touch footy, love reading and dancing to old school RnB and enjoy just hanging out. I also come with a foosball table and a tiny bit of competitiveness.
I have recently returned to Canberra after living for the last eight years in New Caledonia and I am looking to re-establish myself back in Australia. I am a 46 years old dad of two and I have been the primary parent for most of their lives. My children are currently in New Caledonia with their mum until the end of the school year so I am own my own. I'm a friendly and easy going person who looks and feels a lot younger than my age suggests..most of the time :) I am a photographer and like sport, especially soccer and AFL but nearly any sport will do. I am looking to get back to the gym once I am settled. I am working full-time, Monday to Friday, for a government department in Civic.
~~~New to Canberra; young professional; have a Netflix account; cook; clean; good at tasks like setting up internet modems & routers & AV equipment; not good at tasks like uploading photos to flatesmates.com; laugh at jokes; make jokes~~~
Very laid back, considerate, friendly and open to the occasional drink and conversation. Avid traveller planning my next big trip. Also love to cook and given I already travel alot for work, prob won't be around much during the week.
I'm 32 and work in the public service. I'm originally from Melbourne and moved to Canberra a couple of years ago for work. I am easy going and generally get along with most people. I am up for having a chat and hanging out with my housemates sometimes, however I am also pretty independent and enjoy doing my own thing a lot of the time. I'm neat and respectful of common areas. I'm a non-smoker, don't have any pets and am not into having raging house parties. If you share similar values, I would love to hear from you. Oh and preferred length of stay is 6 months to 1 year.
We are a young couple working full time as well as studying full time online. We are easy going and enjoy watching a game of rugby, having a drink with friends, or going out for a nice bite to eat. We both work very hard and are clean and tidy. We look forward to moving in with someone who shares the same interests.
Hello! I have just returned from 18 months living in London to the bright lights of the Nation's Capital . I am a social person, always up for a wine and a Netflix binge, or a walk around the lake. I tidy up after myself and truly believe who ever invented that sponge on a stick that dispenses dish-washing liquid is an utter genius. Pretty much, I'm normal! And looking for a place to live happily ever after (or for the next 6-12 months).
My name is Astrid and I will start an internship in Canberra on the 30th of august for the period of 3 months. I am looking for a room in a house with other 20-30 year olds who like to spend time with each other, but also respect each others privacy.
Hey there! I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a very clean and trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and I'm quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you!
Im a 21 year old Uni student I am friendly, but also know when to respect privacy and enjoy time alone Dedicated to work, but know when to relax; I am very neat and tidy, pay bills on time,and generally can look after myself. I'm also told I make good pancakes in the morning. I don't smoke, party, or have pets 🙂
I work full time in the APS and am studying a masters in my spare time! I am very easy to get along with and am clean, considerate and mature, and I don't have any weird habits! I'm also a non smoker if that is important! I like to clean up after myself and I hope you do too, but I'm not a crazy clean type! I'm a good cook with winter dishes my speciality! I'm an experienced sharehouser (is that even a word!?) and am considerate with noise etc I enjoy the occasional dinner party/bbq, a few friends over for drinks or games night etc but not looking for a party house or nightclub to live in as sleep and relaxation as important haha I'm happy to hang out and chat, watch netflix etc but also like some me time to study! I like to play squash, go bushwalking, and thinking about mountain biking, and archery atm but am open to getting involved in other things :) My move date is also flexible as I'm on a monthly contract in my current place.
Hello! I'm Peta. I work full time in the city. I am a fan of most physical pursuits (soccer, netball, hiking, cycling, mountain biking etc - but not swimming - strictly a land animal). These tend to occupy my evenings and weekends. I like to be out and about but I am always partial to quiet nights in after long days. Big tea fan. Recent coffee convert. Looking for a room in a two bed apartment or similar, walking distance to the city with an easygoing flatmate. Minimum 6 months + . My moving dates are flexible. Any questions please get in touch.
Hi :) I'm Tayliah and I have recently moved to Canberra from Orange. I enjoy brunch, bushwalking, keeping active, meeting up with friends and anything that Canberra has to offer. I currently work full-time and plan to study in the future. I am very versatile and adaptable after living in a small communal space whilst travelling overseas last year. I am clean, tidy and love to cook. I am a relaxed, easy going social person and would love to find someone likeminded.
Fun, active, lover of (red) wine, good food and yoga. I am a full time lawyer getting a 6 month rotation with my firm in the Canberra office. Would love to find a nice space and good people to live with as my home away from home. In my spare time you'll find me in a boxing or yoga studio, hiking or spending time with my friends. I am very social, but self-sufficient!
Hey :). I work in the Public Service and currently living in my own 1 bedroom fully furnished apartment. I would like to either team up or move into an existing shared fully furniahed accomodation. I am very laidback and quiet person. I am a self confessed workaholic so i often work early to late most days. If youd like to chat more and discuss ideas, please message me :).
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who is a full time self-published writer and performer. I spend most of my days writing (plus admin and marketing my books) in cafes. I have been a counsellor, cleaner and public servant. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
