I'm a New Zealander and I'm moving to Australia to study a Master's in Environmental Science at ANU. I love travelling - I grew up in Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and I'm currently spending the "summer" interning in northern California. Hobbies - cooking, reading, tramping and hiking, fitness, Netflix. I've flatted for 5 years so I'm very tolerant and respectful, and I'm tidy and pretty quiet. I like socializing with my flatmates and I enjoy my me-time too, I'm good at going with the flow. I’m looking for a room solo until about June/July when my boyfriend Dave will be moving over from NZ to join me. So I’m interested in short-term single rooms or longer-term rooms that are suitable for couples :)
Hey, I am new to Canberra starting in a graduate role in the Department of Environment and Energy in early 2018. I'm a friendly, bubbly and respectful roommate and am keen to live with social people who like to have an occasional drink and sometime cook meals together. I enjoy playing netball and tennis in my free time as well as exploring and going on adventures!
Hi, I am professional male originally from Perth. An opportunity to advance in my career has seen me moving to Canberra. Enjoy having a chat but also like my down time & privacy. Looking for some housemates with similar interests and enjoy a quiet coffee or beer.
I work full time as a motorbike salesmen. Passion for motorcycles in spare time as well. Easy going, big on keeping shared spaces clean and tidy. I believe in a healthy balance of social and private time in shared accomodation! Just keen to meet some people and find the right match for you and I!
Hi, I'm packing up and moving to Canberra to start study at ANU after having given Real Estate a crack in Central West NSW for the first 2 years out of school. I'm a very open person and would be more than happy to get to know a future flatmate, but totally respect your privacy. I am pretty chilled out and mature for my age, enjoy keeping fit, spending time with friends, working and hopefully dedicating some time to study!
My name is Hannah and I am moving down from Sydney for a full-time position with the APS In late January. I am a neat and tidy non-smoker, looking for shared accommodation for a minimum period of 1 year. I live a pretty active lifestyle and spend my free time out and about, hanging out with friends, and hitting the gym but will just as happily binge watch some TV from time to time. For the most part, I keep to myself however, my friends consider me a pretty good cook so I am happy to share a drink or meal some evenings to wind down if that’s your style. (As I’m a Canberra newbie, I’m keen to take any hot tips you might have!)
Full-time professional relocating to Canberra for work. I own my own place in Melbourne, so can either come with a house full of furniture or none at all. I plan on keeping my place in Melbourne, so will rent it out. Chilled out, work some pretty long hours (sadly) and fairly frequently travel (interstate and overseas). Haven't done the whole share house thing since uni days, but remember how to be a good housemate. Own life, no hermit habits, can cook (really quite well), happy to share and pay on time. Will send an SMS if you disappear for more than 72 hours without word, but not pry or act like your Mum. Clean, tidy but not neurotic about it. No strange food habits. Great with pets, terrible keeping plants alive though. Petrified of birds.
Hi! Me and my colleague Lachlan are looking for a place in Canberra within 30 minutes - public transport of Barton, (where we both just got jobs). I'm Daniel I’ve lived in share houses for a while, I’m respectful and considerate and certainly would like to socialise with others if they’re keen! I’m moving from Sydney and I would love to take my dog, a 1 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, he’s a very gentle dog that is good with everyone. If I can take find a a place with him he will stay with my family in Sydney. Looking for a house preferably or a team up with someone else to move in and find a place with!
I am a 27 year old public servant, working in Barton, who has lived in Canberra for 5 years. I have been in college/share house arrangements since I was 18 and consider myself to be a clean, courteous and considerate housemate. I enjoy a social glass of wine after work and a little bit of Netflix binging with housemates but I am also just as likely to have quiet night reading in my room. I enjoy getting out and about on the weekends and checking out the National Parks in the Territory. But I also tend to offset any fitness gains from hiking/bushwalking with a beer and wings/burger session with my Canberra family. Looking for a like-minded individual/s to team-up and get a place in the inner north/inner south. Looking to secure accommodation ASAP and will be able to move anytime from the second week of January to the first week of February. I do have some furniture and white goods, namely a fridge, washing machine, TV and couch but am open to putting some items in storage if need be. Send me a message if you wanna chat and discuss options. I'm back to work on 2 January but am more than happy to organise a meet-up after work to see if we can work something out. :)
I've recently relocated to Canberra for a role in the public service. I'm looking for a decent sized room in an established share house in the city or inner northern suburbs. I'm very tidy and friendly, and I like to run and cook. I have bedroom furniture in storage and am ready to move in in late Jan or early Feb.
Hey! I'm joining the Treasury Graduate Program in Feb 2018. I'm coming from Sydney, and I'm very excited about being able to potentially walk/cycle to work. I am outgoing & neat, love cooking & baking, have great TV/movie/book recommendations, a tea snob, definitely not an alcohol snob, and love travelling. I'm low-key savage, but also a bit of a grandma, so it balances out.
Katelyn and I are both Brisbane girls who have found jobs in Government. We are both very easy going people, social and tidy. Flexible with move in dates. We are both heading to Canberra in early Feb but happy to pay a little bit early or move in later. Message me if you want to know anything at all.
Hello! I'm a 23-year-old uni student, moving to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast to study at ANU next year. Looking to move into a furnished room in an existing place near uni in early February. Keen to live with like-minded students/young professionals. I study full-time, work part-time in a bar (late nights) and like to relax and have a glass of wine with friends on my days off. I am really easy going and good at being tidy, making margaritas, paying rent on time and respecting others space.
Hi there, I'm moving to Canberra in Feb 2018 for a new role in public sector. I'm originally from Sydney and am looking for a place for 6 months. I'm pretty outgoing but like my down time too. I am super clean and am looking for someone who is too! Preferably would like to share with one other person - happy to have a wine after work! I love sports and reading crim fic novels. In my free time I like to chill with friends, try new cafes/restaurants and workout/go for walks. I'm currently in Sydney but happy to meet over Skype and go from there :)
I'm a 24 year old guy who has relocated to Canberra just over a year ago. Work in the public sector. I am looking for somewhere to live preferably over a year and beyond but anything over 6 months is decent. I'll tell you a little about myself. I especially enjoy time at the the beach and exercise when I can, cooking, netflix and walks up any close by mountains are also my hobbies. I consider myself to be a clean and considerate person. I'm a very social guy and enjoy a good chat and the occasional bev on weekends. However can respect anyone's privacy and enjoy some time spent alone too. I'm also likely to travel interstate quite often so most likely not always gonna be home. I often have a busy lifestyle but find balance to be very important. I'm easy going, love to meet new friends and share experiences. I have also had more than 5 years in house sharing experience. I also have a brand new humungous LG fridge/freezer and new lounge pull out sofa bed thingy with storage that can be of use to the home. My potential roomie must be able to fail a criminal background check, preferably because of time spent in prison, you must have enough pets to classify your room as a small zoo, and you feel the need to explain how your ex screwed you over in your reply email. I'm just kidding. I cook lots of chicken nuggets but can actually cook a decent feed and absolutely love cooking and sharing with my roomie/s every once in awhile. I'm a decent human being often finding myself wanting to help people for no other reason than they are human. If I sound alright, let me know whats up. I don't expect y'all to kick out your significant other/best friend/elderly grandmother to let me move in but. Cheers✌️ Marley
I'm friendly and easy going, mostly keep to myself - but wouldn't mind occasional chats and a bit of a social house. I'll be starting full time work in Jan end. I like to keep the house tidy and am respectful of other housemates. I like to cook sometimes, read and have occasional outings with friends. I don't have a car, so would ideally like to live within walking distance (upto 10 minutes) from a main bus stop.
I’m 25, I’m tidy, enjoy the gym, being healthy, hikes and spending time with my horse. I also relaxing, the beach, watching Netflix, a wine, going out for breaky/ dinners. I’m extremely respectful of housemates ensuring I’m always polite and up for a chat.. I usually just fit in and go with the flow of the house :) I currently work full time APS and I run a eyelash business from home therefore I require either a room or small space within an appartment or home to have this set up. My clients usually come after hours and sometimes for a few hours on weekends. If you think this is possible, please let me know!
Hi, I am a Chinese student from ANU and currently looking for a cozy place that is not far from Griffin lake. I have been in Australia for 1.5 year already and have a recommendation letter from my former landlord. I am friendly and respect the difference between cultures and people:)))
Hello! I am moving to Canberra from Perth for a job and am looking for somewhere ideally close to Manuka. I am relatively quiet person but enjoy having a chat and being social. I enjoy reading books, watching Netflix and kickboxing. I don't know too many people in Canberra so having a friendly housemate would be a great way to feel comfortable in a new town!
