I've recently returned home from a few years living overseas and am looking forward to getting settled back in Melbourne. I work remotely as a programmer, and generally base myself out of co-working spaces, so I have a fairly relaxed work-life balance. Not too fussed on who I live with as long as you aren't a crazy person, but probably no more than two housemates because I think my giant share house days are behind me. Also hoping to live in the inner north because walking to work is underrated.
Hi there, my name's Gill (pron. Jill) and I'm a second year physics student at Melbourne. Im looking to escape the outer suburbs with 2-3 like minded people, preferably women similar to my age. I'm vegetarian and play bass in a local band. I'm friendly, easy going and love cooking!
Hi my name is Damien, I'm 38 and originally from Tassie. I work as an early child hood educator and after school carer, but I'm looking to get into teachers aide work whilst I work on a few passions like writing pun jokes. I'm into the AFL and sports in general , I am looking forward to watching the bombers play. Anything else you would like to know feel free to ask.
Full time students, work part-time as well. Easy going girls who have both moved down from QLD trying to secure accommodation. Laura has already spent 12 months in Melbourne, but Courtney is new this year.
Hi there! I'm Elizabeth and I'm an aspiring actor, artist and filmmaker from Queensland! I'm looking to relocate from the Gold Coast to Melbourne this year in between work and study (I recently completed filming a project on the GC last November), so not looking for any super long-term accomodation (sorry!). Because of the nature of my work, I may also have periods of time where I need to duck off, however all will be discussed in gory details if and when this occurs. Apart from that, I am a very flexible human being and am super communicative and reasonable - traits that would make me a great housemate. I also consider myself very mature, responsible and down-to earth. I love a laugh and a drink or two but am by no means a party animal, and treat my own and other's spaces with the utmost respect. My main loves include: coffee, contemporary/modern art, books and writing, painting, animals, veggie gardens, shiny objects (fairy lights are my one true weakness), travel, yoga, yoga pants and film. I am also really into fashion, photography and science. I completely understand the balanced art of giving someone space (I am quiet and don't take up much room) as well as loving the odd chat, shared meal and hangout with my future housemates. I am looking for housemates that are as equally flexible as I am, people who are creative thinkers with a wide range of passions and interests, good-natured, funny, and kind human beings. Feel free to message me if you like! :) x
Hi, I am a masters student at University of Melbourne. Looking for an accommodation near the university or somewhere in the surrounding suburbs with easy access to public transportation (trains and trams). I am house trained and friendly! I love music and cooking (at least trying to). I prefer people who enjoy hanging out every now and then but respect each others private space as well.
Clean, tidy, slightly amusing. I am not interested in sharing a bedroom or a house with more than 1-2 people, thanks.
I'm a second-year full-time postgraduate student in Australian Catholic University. I'm fairly new to Melbourne and looking to find a place where I could relax and possibly make friends. If you have a quiet little cutie dog it would be awesome since I've been missing mine back home in the Philippines. I am quiet by default so if you like the silence don't worry I won't bother you very much. I am mindful of others and tidy up most of the time. I can cook some Filipino food, if you'd like to try I am willing to share it :)
Hello from Pakistan! Coming to Australia for the first time, I will be studying full time at Monash city campus. I do not prefer partying as much, I can be social but also respect ones privacy and would love to help around the house! I am a clean and tidy person, i like living in a laid back environment, little fun on the side, love to watch films, listen to music, can cook some things too. Can’t sit around at one place for too long, I walk a lot, always up for hiking or camping out or playing any sport. I also have a musical instrument (Rabab) of Afghan origin which I play then and now, radiating good vibes only!! 22, straight.
Hi there, I’m looking for a place to call home not a room to rent. I’m easygoing, always up for a friendly chat and try my best to get to know my housemate because there’s nothing worse than an awkward conversation 😬 I work full time in the financial services industry and like to come home and just switch off. I’m house trained and I like to keep everything around me clean and neat. If you’ve got any questions please don’t hesitate to ask :)
Hey! I'm Aliya 21 from Nelson New Zealand. I have recently completed a degree in arts and Media and I'm looking to move to Melbourne around February to start a new life and a career. I'm super reliable, fun to be around, respectful of personal space and I love to go out for drinks and meet new people! I'm always down for cooking together, sharing a bottle of wine or exploring new places to eat around Melbourne. My other interests include movies of every genre, being outdoors and animals (especially dogs!!) I'm a pretty easy going person so flatting with me would be a piece of cake. Flick me a message anytime (:
Hello. I'm James. I'm moving to Melbourne from Brisbane starting around March 1st (though if I found the perfect place I could possibly arrive sooner.) I am transferring at my job, full-time work. I'm looking for something similar to the experience I've had in Brisbane, which is one or two roommates who are easy/enjoyable to live with, very respectful of space/tidiness and good for a chat/drink every now and then. Being new to the city, I'm hoping to find a great location. Things I love: Arts/Music, reading, gym, cooking, spontaneous adventures/exploring the city....
I'm Lydia, 30, and work at Toyota, though my experience before this is in humanitarian aid sector. I'm pretty easy going, like to share a meal with housemates occasionally, a glass of wine or beer and a good chat are always good, but I understand that home is a sanctuary and space/alone time is important. I love reading, enjoy a good meal, pubs, playing ultimatum games and a good laugh. I think it's important to make the effort to make a share house a home, not just a house. I like to keep communal spaces clean, and cooking for housies. I'm very easy going and flexible. I think it's important to respect others' space and time.
I am a french girl with a law degree, working as a waitress. Luke is a American boy, web designer. We’ve both been traveling for a while so we’re definitely looking for a cool and chill place to stay, not a party house. We love sport and music. We are very respectful, sociable, clean and tidy.
Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I'm 30 years old. One year ago I decided to try something different with my life after 4 years working at the same place and with the same routine everyday, so I ended up in Australia. I'm working in hospitality and I'm also studying a Diploma in Leadership and management. A bit more about me, I'm from Colombia, I love listening to music and play guitar (just for fun), I like movies, love soccer, kinda play basketball (at least I try to) and recently I bought a bike so I hope to use it a lot. Also I love travelling and sharing experiences with other people. I'm here because I want to improve my English as well, so talks are always welcomed. Of course if some of you would like to learn some words in Spanish I can help you with that. I'm really easy going, respectful and a tidy person (not crazy about it). I live now in CBD sharing room but I would like to find a different place after 1 year in the same place, so please let me know what you think. See ya. Cheers!!
I enjoy movies, playing guitar and video games but I love to socialise in and out of the house. Always up for a chat or a beer. When I'm not at home, I'm on my skateboard or catching up with friends for a drink.
Hi, I'm from the UK and been in Melbourne for 6 months. I'm a friendly and chilled out guy who is considerate and respectful of living with others. Enjoys food and cooking as well as a few drinks at the weekend. I am about to start a new job in South Yarra, hence the move. Looking for a decent place to feel at home.
Hey there! Im a really friendly and outgoing individual who will get along with absolutely anybody. I work around 4-5 days a week in hospitality, like to socialise over a few drinks, like things tidy, getting things done that need to be, and am really laid back. I love anything creative and am always sharing ideas and laughing about life! I am looking to move from Sydney to Melbourne very shortly with like minded individuals. Currently I am taking a break from my official studies in marketing and design to pursue an interest in music production and am studying this on the side.
I'm Andy, 31 and looking to move from Brisbane to Melbourne. I absolutely love Melbourne and have decided that I need a change in my life in a new city. I currently work full time in communications for the Qld Ambulance Service. I've also been accepted into uni to study nursing. In my spare time I love catching up with mates, heading out to dinner and drinks, movies, travel and just having a great time in general. There are other times where a quiet night in is great too. I'm looking at what is available before moving down and I'm also currently searching for job opportunities.
Hey, I am looking for a room within inner city Melbourne. I work-full time in sports marketing and lucky enough to travel a bit for work. I love a vino and to watch sports - if you have a doggo that is the biggest plus! Thanks, Meg
Hello I have recently got a new full time job in port Melbourne starting in February and looking for a new place to stay and hopefully call home. Originally from Brisbane. I am a quiet guy around the house, mostly keeping to myself. That being said I would enjoy afternoon chats or the occasional meal/board game as a house. I have quite a broad range of interests ranging from just gaming/Netflix to travelling and diving. Looking for a 3 month stay preferably for now but am flexible. Also I am currently abroad and unavailable for inspections until 24th of January but can Skype to talk and meet each other. Look forward to hearing from you :)
Hi! I am Lisanne and will be starting my PhD in Law at RMIT early Feb. In addition to this I will be working at the University. I am Dutch but have been living in Australia (Sydney) for 2 years. I have also lived in The Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. I am well-travelled and open minded. Like outdoor activities but never say no to a glass of wine after a work day. I clean up after myself and like to keep my place tidy and clean. I am looking for a home far away from home with like minded flatmates! Shoot me a message if you have a room available and think we'll be a good match, cheers! Ps. Unfortunately I cannot live in a house with pets as I'm allergic to cats and dogs
