Hi, I'm a part time dad (every 2nd w/end) to my adorable 10yr old daughter, and would like to share a house with another part or full time parent if possible, (not for childcare reasons, but housing affordability). I enjoy creating good food, drinking good wine, & having stimulating conversations as most people do, I also make a good sounding board if you ever feel the need to download from a crappy day. I play guitar irregularly, and enjoy most types of music. If you think this is you drop me a line! Cheers,
Heyhey 🙂 I previously lived in Melbourne for a year and am now moving back on the 8th of march to study here after about a year and a half of traveling. I'm swedish, almost 22 and I'll be working in hospitality(barista) as well as studying. On my free time I play guitar, sketch and paint, make crystal pendants and a bunch of good stuff. I like to laugh and I also make jokes sometimes. I'm a very social person and am also used to living with other people, meaning I love a good chat and bev but also respect other peoples space and will of course be respectful of shared living areas. I enjoy going out for drinks and a boogie but can also spend a full night watching stupid shows in bed. I'm pet free, neat and will be staying in Melbourne for at least two years. I'm looking for a place to call home, meaning I'd love to live with like minded people who don't mind hanging out now and then. Please feel free to shoot me a message if I sound like a person you'd like to live with. ✌
Self employed girl geak engineer and electronic music lover. I am looking for a new home with people who have a life outside of the house but also like to chill and share a wine and chat from time to time. I don't smoke but I don't mind if you do, not fussed on what others eat or sexuality as its all relative, each to their own. Mutual respect is where it's at. Flexible with move dates, ideally mid to late March. If you have a garden, that would be awesome. Again, not a deal breaker though. I love animals but don't have any. It would be cool to live with someone who has a dog, happy to help out walking it sometimes even. 6 months minimum is preferred because it's a bit of a mission changing homes. :)
Hi, I'm Quentin, 23 years old from France. I arrived in Melbourne on Monday night and I just started an internship to validate my Master's degree at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research near the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I am looking for an accommodation available ASAP for a period of 6-7 months. I am paid and I also received a French scholarship for my internship, so I will have no problem paying my rent on time. Since my 18 years I do house/flatsharing, so I am more than accustomed. During this period, I crossed many people from different countries not any Australian yet ! Sociable by nature, I know how to adapt to the characters of my roommates, I do my share of household tasks and I am a real cordon bleu ! Even if we separate our food, I often cook or do pastries to pass the time. You could have your share ! I will also be delighted to start a discussion about a beer or a glass of wine either outside or at home. I think I'm never short of discussion, this is surely my French side! Cheers, Quentin.
Hi there! I'm Rieneke, dutch girl from Amsterdam who just moved here for a PhD at the University of Melbourne, so I'm looking for a nice place to live in Melbourne! About me..I studied geology in Amsterdam and Innsbruck (Austria), now ready to start a PhD in climate research, which luckily enough it became a passion. I also love outdoor, music, salsa dancing, reading, dogs, photography and of course the social stuff. I'm looking for a roommate (or two or three) to share a place with, I'm also open to teamups. I'm easygoing, in for a chat or a drink and I'm clean (although there's nothing wrong with a stain of life happening) and I pay my bills. ;) Cheers, Rieneke
I am currently a Manager for cotton on relocating to Melbourne. I am a very laid back guy, easy to get along with and very respectable. I am a bit of a clean freak so cleaning up after myself wont be an issue! I will be working 4 days one week and 6 days the following week in a fortnight, so I wont be around all the time. I am very into my health and fitness and love to have a bit of fun on the weekend! I am a very easy person to get along with, but also know how to and respect personal space :)
I'm travelling from Canada on a working holiday visa with my partner Alex. I'm a vet nurse, he's into marketing management. We've been living and working in Cairns for the past 6 months, made a stopover in Bali and will be arriving to Melbourne on Monday 27th. We are looking for a room for 1 week while we get settled in and find long term accommodation. We are quite, professional, down to earth people. Hopefully this short notice arrangement can work. Thank you
From Edinburgh, Scotland. Working within events, and also the health and fitness industry. Working full-time, so not looking for a party house, but love a social atmosphere where I can come back from work and have a good chat and maybe a drink or two with housemates. A keen yogi, love going hiking and camping and just generally being outside. Very chilled and laid back, not into drama. Keep everything tidy and clean in general, and have always shared cleaning duties around previous share houses. Please send me a message if you have a vacancy in a house that you think I would be a good addition to.
I'm easygoing, kind, polite, open-minded and supportive. I'm a good person! I'm pretty quiet and like to work hard to make a home beautiful. I have been a primary school teacher for ten years, I love good film and literature and going for long walks.
I'm a 26 years old Civil Engineer who just moved to Melbourne to start a Master Program. I've already lived abroad and I'm an easygoing person. I like to get to know different people and cultures. I'm a very respective person and organized with my stuff. I'm looking for a room in an apartment to share with some people around my age to hang out some times but also have my privacy to study.
Hi i'm Kathleen, Canadian interning in Melbourne for the next 3-4 months. I'm independent, easy going, clean, respectful and even occasionally funny. I like exploring, hiking, brunch and reading. I Let me know if you think you can put up with me for a few months, cheers! :)
My name is Kay, male, from West Africa. I'm currently a graduate student at CSU melbourne campus, studying for a Masters in Business Administration. I'm a very friendly person, and easy to get along with. I like to read, i also like to sketch sometimes. I love music and I like to cook. I don't smoke, but occassionally, i like to have a few beers wit my friends. I am very tidy, homely and quiet. I try to respect other people's space as well as their lifestyle, sexual orientation, religion and culture, but I'm also good for a chit chat every now and then. Uhhh... I'm loyal, dependable and nice. and I'm open to sharing a house with either male, female or both And yeah! I've got no pets.
I'm currently studying sound production/music industries at RMIT full time, have had previous experience in shared living environments, and there will most probably always be a supply of hommus if I am around! As a housemate, I would consider myself a considerate, tidy (and by tidy, I mean capable of cleaning up mess beyond my own space), open-minded/socially conscious, financially secure person, who is looking for a long-term, stable living environment to settle into. A creative environment would be really neat, and I'd also love to be friendly with my housemates too, instead of just occupying the same space! In my spare time I like to make soft vocal music (don't worry about noise though, this is all done through headphones!), watch films, go on aberrantly long walks and sometimes go to gigs/events on the weekends.
Hi guys, I'm 30 years old, French/American, in Melbourne for the next 4 months, working in Construction. I'm friendly, open-minded, and I've been living in many shared houses around the world, always had a good time! I'm clean and tidy, I enjoy reading, cooking, Yoga, all kind of sports, and living a healthy life. Although a drink is always welcome :) Cheers
My name is Alana, Im in my early 20's and am currently working full time in Childcare. I'm a clean and tidy person who keeps to myself but am down for a chat or coffee anytime. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but during the week like to have my own quiet time. Feel free to message me anytime :)
I am a female 25 years old, working full time in marketing. I'm easy going, friendly and clean. I am well traveled, I lived in London most of last year and Sydney most of my life but am looking to move to Melbourne now. I enjoy socialising, traveling, weekend adventures and a good wine over dinner. Non-smoker, looking for similar flat mates to myself.
Hi, My name is Michael and I'm 27 years old engineer. I work full time (Tuesday to Saturday) usually from 7 am to 4 pm. Few words about me: calm, friendly, respectful, polite, easygoing, tidy, keen to meet new people and love travelling. I also like motorcycles, listening live music and trying new things.
Hi there I'm a young professional working full time with MLC in Docklands. As a housemate, I'm sociable and enjoy a good chat in the kitchen/lounge room on the odd evening but also know how to respect personal space. You'll find me considerate and tidy and I don't have a lot of furniture or other stuff to clutter up the house with. Am partial to floorboards for sliding around in socks. I'm looking for a non-party yet sociable sharehouse.
Hi there, we are a couple looking for a double/master room. We are both international students, working and studying all day. We just need a place to rest at night time and cooking sometimes. We are super friendly, responsible, coming from Vietnam. We love children, we love pets so dont worry about that. We need a room asap cuz we have to move out of my current place at the end of this Feb. hope to be your flatmates there ☺️
Hey! I'm a German psychology student staying in Melbourne for 8 weeks for an internship at Victoria University. I'm excited to see as much from the city and the country as possible (next to my internship of course), so I'll probably be out of the house a lot. I love music, sports and spontaneous activities. I would describe myself as open-minded and kind.
I am very easy going guy from France on a Working Holiday Visa willing to settle down in Melbourne for a year. Friendly and quiet, I'm very easy to live with. Always up to meet new people and drink some beers after a long day at work!
Hi there, I've just moved to Melbourne, from India.. Very enthusiastic to make new friends and hang out.. I like to read sometimes, go for hitch hike, go camping and have irresistible love the pets.. I am a Post Graduate student ,and I am used to the "sharing a place" thing for almost 4 years now..
*Not looking to move until End of April/Early May* Hi, Im a friendly, social being who likes a tidy house. I've lived in all sorts of share situations - sharing food, going it alone, cleaning as needed and keeping to a strict roster. I'm reliable and organised - hopefully this doesn't mean I'm not fun! I like to think I am and love a good bonding/gossip sesh and a laugh. Like to share teas/wines/beers as they happen and have no problems grabbing washing off the line before rain, watering pot plants when others are away and picking this up from the shops on the way home. I'm an urban planner working for state gov full time, a country girl at heart I'm a fan of a bit of gardening. My current house has chickens which I love and am sad to be leaving. I have a super affectionate cat and an entire house of furniture to contribute (although I'd happily discuss letting some of it go if needed). Looking to move by May 15 either into a great existing sharehouse or start a new one. My location preference is super-free, I'm only in need of a train within 10mins walk or a 1/2 hr easy bike ride to the cbd.
My name is Abdullah, 19 years old. I am an international student from Bangladesh, studying in the University of Melbourne doing the 2nd year of the Bachelors of Commerce cource. I am an organized and clean person who is quiet but friendly and easy going. I like sports, reading and movies.
I'm a relaxed and tidy individual; enjoy my space but also enjoy co-working, sharing meals or just hanging out. I sometimes like to go to gigs too. I have a Bachelor Degree in Music and play guitar and bass; I usually have a few musical projects on the go at any time. Sometimes I go busking in the CBD and play gigs with a band. I work part time as a bartender at the Melbourne Recital Centre and am halfway through a Psychology Post-Grad which is about to start up again. I really enjoy gardening, reading, cooking and listening to music in my spare time when I'm not playing. I live a humble existence and am always open to learning new things. I have a lil cat named Pepper who would ideally be moving with me. She's a nutter at times (mostly dinner times) but is super affectionate and independent.
Hi, My name is Murphy, I'm 23 and work full time as an assistant store manager for H&M Chadstone. I'm currently living in Richmond but my lease is up in March and I am looking to relocate to Kensington. I'm a very sociable person and love spending time with my friends and family. I love eating out around Melbourne, going to gigs, cooking, I love pets... and i like to have a wine but generally I live the low key life. I'm a clean person who is more then happy to help out with cleaning and gardening etc. I'm respectful of peoples space but also just as happy to hang out and cook dinner together
I’m a Kiwi from Auckland and would describe myself as tidy, considerate and friendly. I’ll be starting a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology this year at the University of Melbourne and am looking for a room long term! I’m looking for a relaxed flat as I generally like to keep it chill. I would like to be friends with my flatties though so I’m always keen for the odd drink/movie/board game/dinner. My interests are in cooking, running, bad puns and cricket (more watching than playing…). I respect privacy and I’m reliable so you can expect the bills to be paid on time!
I work full time at Melbourne uni (and study part time there too). I can be bubbly and social, but not in an annoying overbearing way and know when to give people their space. I'm respectful and quiet, chill and I reckon I'm pretty easy to get along with. I look forward to hearing from you!
Irish guy moving to Melbourne. Very easy going and clean. Looking for full time finance work. Outgoing, so normally not in the house too much, love meeting new people and I have never had any issues with prior room mates, I can give you contact info for them, if you would like to talk to them directly for their perspective. I love cooking for myself and others, though i am not very good! Really approachable guy if you do have anything you need to say. Moving to a new city, open to meeting anyone! Feel free to get in touch
Hey,I am looking for my own room North of Melbourne, location doesnt really matter to me right now. I am 26 years old from Canada and will be in australia for the next 2 years. I am looking for a place to call home. I owned a house in canada so i treat any home i live in like it was my own. I am very clean, organized, respectful and trust worthy. I need a place for sometime in March. Thank you!
Telecom Professional working in Docklands, Neat n Tidy. Works Full time 5 days a week. Like to socialize meet new people and respect others privacy. Likes to stay fit, go to Gym and Hangout in free times. Easy going and fun person :)
I love to go out for dinners with close friends, love movies and cooking occasionally. I'm tidy and respectful of communal places and expecting the same qualities. I'm kind person, with an easy going attitude and easy to be around. I am accommodating to others so long as the same respect is reciprocated. I'd love to arrange for an inspection. Cheers
Hey there! I am moving to Melbourne in March and am looking for a place to stay. I am a mechanical engineer, Indian by passport but grew up between India, England and Malaysia. So its my first time in Australia. When I am not working I am generally reading a book, watching a movie, or working on my music (singing). Huge F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan. I cook decent pasta and Indian food but only when I am in the mood for it. Vegetarian by choice, And I tend to keep my room, kitchen (if i do cook) and bathrooms clean.
I am happy to move in a shared house or start one in the area listed. I have all white goods like fridge TV, L shaped leather couch, washing and of course all the kitchen utensils. If we find a place with a backyard, I even have a BBQ and backyard furniture :). Let me know your thoughts. I would be inspecting properties or move into a shared place.
I work full time and am also studying in the city. I would like minimum 3 month stay and bills included if possible. I have my own furnishings. I have a very busy schedule so mostly just keep to myself to study when at home. Generally a quiet person but would like to have a housemate that wouldn't mind sharing a dinner and having a chat :-)
I am a full time student/athlete studying Civil Engineering who works part time. I also work at my gym coaching Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and teach a kids fight class. More than capable of pulling my own weight when it comes to housework/cooking, etc. Busy schedule but I love spending weekends or any free time I have with friends and new people I meet, or even just chilling out for the night. Looking to stay with chilled out roommates who are easy-going / out-going and love a good chat. I smoke here and there, but not tobacco, hint hint, would love 420-friendly roommates but I honestly don't mind.
Hey there! I'm Erin, I'm 29 and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I'm employed full time, working as the Design Manager for Marshall White Real Estate. I'm a yoga addict, but when I'm not at work or in the studio I spend most nights out exploring Melbourne's incredible food scene or trying a new class or workout. I love nature, the beach, festivals, breakfast adventures, dogs, sunshine, yoga and a good cup of coffee. I also love exploring Melbourne by bike and travelling the world. I'm looking to move in with some relaxed, positive and respectful housemates that have their own thing going on but don't mind a catch up over a glass of wine, a movie or a house dinner. Although I do like going out from time to time, I'm not looking for a party house, but rather a clean and tidy place to kick back and unwind after a busy day. I'm an open minded, big hearted, glass half full kinda person and it is essential that you are the same!
Hey my name is Kaleb, I'm 19 years old and I have been living in Australia for a year now. I'm originally from New Zealand and also work full-time as a forklift driver. I love playing video games and love playing sports especially Soccer willing to try anything. I also like meeting new people so going out for a night with the group would be awesome. Why I'm great to live with is I'm reasonble, understanding, will always pay rent on time, I'm tidy, love to socialise and to be honest I'm just looking for a place where I can chill and have a good time.
Hi, I'm Kathryn. I'm looking for a place around Moonee Ponds/Maribynong as I've just got a new job based there. I work in social work, but for a few months I'll also be working casually at Crown Casino. I graduated uni in 2014 after studying Criminology, focussing on policy. I've recently returned from an extended 'gap year/s' in Germany, where I mostly worked with refugee aid and English/German translation. I'm pretty keen on Netflix binges, group meals, political discussions, casual dinner parties and baking. I'm clean but not obsessive, not a huge partier, respectful of people's space and very organised. I'm a non-smoker and a seldom drinker. I'm not a vegetarian nor vegan, but I rarely eat meat and am more than happy to live in a vegetarian house. I will mostly be working from mid afternoon through to 10/11pm, so will be coming and going at off times. Every Tuesday I'll be staying over at work, so won't be around that night. I don't like houses that aren't social with one another, crazy party houses, or housies that don't clean up after themselves. I am looking for somewhere that has good public transport access to the CBD and Moonee Ponds, has off-street car-parking, and is non-smoking. I've lived in share houses before, including a year in Carnegie, a year in Caulfield and 2 years on campus at Monash in Clayton. I also managed to successfully couch-surf my way through Germany for close to a year, so I've very familiar with what makes a good house-guest. If I sound like a good fit into your house, please get in contact :) Kathryn :)
Hi Guys, My name is Naima and I'm looking to rent a room. I have a happy disposition and am very clean. I keep to myself mostly but also mingle in. My hobbies include playing volleyball on the weekends, hanging out with my friends and reading. Also occasionally binge watch Netflix. I work part-time as an Account Manager, searching for full-time roles.
Hello I'm Eileen, 22, finished a photography degree and currently looking for photography work in Melbourne, all the while, working as a waitress in a restaurant. I enjoy art/galleries, board games and a good drink. I'm easy-going, LGBT+ friendly and sociable. Looking for a private room in a sharehouse where everyone respect each other and also share the fun of living together instead of hiding in their own rooms. If it sounds suitable for your house, I would love to hear from you, thank you.
We are an easy going couple and very tidy and considerate. Looking to work hard so wont be home to often. Just need a place to sleep and chill on days off 😊
Hi there! I've recently moved back to Australia after working and travelling in Europe and am now relocating to Melbourne to start my post grad studies. I'm moving to the city for its lifestyle as much as my studies - I enjoy cycling, drinking good coffee, listening to live music as well as the beautiful parks to explore. I also practice Iyengar yoga, love swimming and busting out at No Lights, No Lycra (Melbourne's best export yet). As an architecture student I have a passion for beautiful spaces, tidy houses and find cooking for friends immediately turns a place into a home. I enjoy discovering local designers, trash or treasure stalls and local produce markets. I also am a bit of a green thumb so come with a small family of indoor plants! I look forward to hearing a bit about yourself too and why you love living in Melbourne - I'm always up for suggestions!
I am a final year finance student majoring in financial planning and have a secure part time position at a financial planning firm in Melbourne, of which I will commence full time employment at the end of the year upon completion of uni. I have lived in a share house before and understand the need for your own space, yet am also up for a chat. I am a very busy person and enjoy things that way. I love my job and am very career focused.
I am moving to Melbourne from Townsville to find work and hopefully start a degree. I am a very easy-going and neat person who loves to cook. Bonus if you have pets! I only know a handful of people in Melbourne and will have to start from scratch where furniture is concerned. I am a very sociable person and will most likely spend my spare time exploring the city or hanging out. I understand its hard to offer a room to someone on the other side of Australia, but would be more than happy to Skype and answer any questions you have. I am gay, so would definitely prefer an LGBT friendly household - although I have a feeling that won't be much of an issue in Melbourne. My idea of an awesome Friday is a big feed, a few beers and a movie, would prefer a chilled household on similar vibes. :) plus if you're a foodie! If you think I'd be a good fit, please let me know and we can have a chat :)
Hi there! I recently moved to Melbourne to pursue full time postgrad degree at RMIT. I am very laidback, I enjoy reading, sports, cooking, videogames and learning/teaching languages. I am an engineering student but have many diverse interests. I have a lot of experience in living in shared accommodation so you can definitely expect me to be tidy and clean up after myself. Also I will respect others' privacy and be considerate towards their needs. I am hoping to move in to a place and settle down before semester start. Cheers!
I'm Joyce. I'm a postgraduate student in the Melbourne Uni. I'm a clean and tidy person who would always keep my room neat. I love cooking , traveling, hiking...And I'm an easygoing and considerate person who would think in other people's shoes.
Ahoy, I'm Steph Non smoker, not into drugs. I am a social drinker, love to have a chat and get out and about when Melbourne decides to have nice weather. Big fan of The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers, can be a bit geeky at times. I work in retail so I do have a rotating roster including weekends. I'm extremely respectful of other people's lifestyle choices and routines and wish to be around others who are the same. Ideally I'd like to live with people around the same age and experience a mixed gender household. Because work is in the city I need to be near transport and I do have a car so parking is necessary (off street would be heaven). I'm not exactly too fussed about suburbs right now as long as it cuts down my commute time (1.5 hour travel at the moment is draining my life) and I'm comfy with whoever I live with. I'm pretty terrible at cooking but I like eating / am willing to learn how to not poison others. If you think I may be suitable for your home send me a message :) Cheers!
Former lecturer/academic, just moved home to Melbourne from Japan (where I used to do research) and the UK (even more research). I'm in the middle of a career change, starting full time literature studies at Melbourne soon and then planning to go on to teacher training. Most of the time I'm either out and about at classes or have my nose in a book ;) Decidedly introverted but equally enjoy some friendly banter. I'm vegan, but not preachy about it...and if you have animal friends in the house they will get free unlimited cuddles on demand forever! When not studying can be found experimenting with my 'culinary jazz,' cycling further than my friends say I can, contemplating awesome art, working on my own (less awesome) art, and engaging in various voluntary help-the-animals activities. Looking for somewhere safe, quiet, and orderly to settle, but with just enough eccentricity to keep life interesting :)
Hi guys, My name is Niki, a dutchgirl, 28 years old. I'm a very easy going and social person but I also like to do things on my own. I love wine and cheese, good talks, outdoors and coffee. I work fulltime during the week so I'm away from home often. Within a few weeks my best friend will move to Melbs so if possible we would like to share the room. I prefer a furnished room and roommates who like the house clean. I can move in straight away. Not sure how long i'm staying but at least 3 months but prob longer ;-) Hope to meet you soon! Greets Niki
I'm laid back and easy to get along with, clean and tidy. Spend most my free time being a nerd.
Hey, I'm an easy going person, work full time in marketing. Pretty chilled out and easy going, not looking for a party house but wouldn't say no to a few drinks on a Friday night
