Hi I am a recent ANU graduate who will be starting work in the APS in February 2019. I am looking for a room in a sharehouse or some people to team up with. I am clean, social and friendly. I am easy going and looking for like minded housemates who want to make a space homely and friendly. I am all about communication when it comes to share house living and am looking for tidy people but also someone who isn’t too caught up in the little things. I love cooking and meeting new people. Would love to share a meal with a housemate and catch up over drinks. I am also a sporting person, I play ultimate frisbee competitively and love exploring the outdoors. I am away overseas until mid January but will be happy to help find a place in a team up or take a room I a sharehouse. Can interview over Skype if needed.
My name is Tayla and I am a 21 year old from Bombala NSW. I have recently completed a bachelor of nursing degree and have secured a full time position at The Canberra Hospital which is a 12 month contract. I am an easy going and friendly person who loves to socialise but I also enjoy my personal time as well. I don’t have any pets however I love animals and would not mind having any around. I am extremely clean and tidy. I’m looking to find someone or people who are in a similar position and need someone to rent with for 2019.
Hi there! I'm Maddie and I'm studying Marketing and Advertising at UC (maybe at ANU next year) I am looking for a place or to team up to find a place, to live for at least a year. I'm a non-smoker, chilled, tidy and respectful of other people's things/space. I'm currently employed as a tennis coach so am away almost all day with uni in the morning and coaching afternoon/night. I love to chat and relax with friends but also would like my own time for things like studying and respect housemates privacy wishes. My interests include sports, gaming, sewing, movie nights and of course anything with good company (and cheese platters!) I'm not a party animal by any stretch but do enjoy the company of friends. I am also a avid baker and make a mean lemon meringue pie if i do say so myself. I have no problems with pets of any kind and in fact would love it. Please don't hesitate to get in touch and exchange numbers to chat further. Hope to hear from you! Cheers :)
Hi I'm a 23 year old full time public servant who moved to Canberra this year. I also study part time at university while working. I'm mainly an indoors type of person who keeps to them self but up for a chat a or meal together with others sometimes. I am very respectful of public spaces and keeping them clean.
We're tidy, reliable, and fun to be around. We are both full-time public servants that are relatively new to Canberra. A young(ish) couple that enjoy nature, banter, and the occasional cheeky beverage with housemates. We are very social but also respectful of other peoples' space. We like to spend our nights cooking, socialising, and taking late walks. Discussions about life, the universe, and everything are always on the table.
Hello future housemates! My name is Javs and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems I'd like to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
I’m a lawyer based in Canberra and looking to team up with some housemates. Looking to find a nice quiet household - I’m pretty flexible on furnishings and who I live with as long as everyone is easy to get along with. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra for a 12 month government IT contract, starting November 12. When I lived in Canberra previously, I tended to spend a fair bit of my time mountain biking and motorcycling. These days however I'm more into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and keen to snowboard over winter.
We’re 4 working professionals (2 couples), who have been close friends for 7+ years. 2 of us are undertaking study on-top of working full-time. We’re looking for a 12-month lease with the option to extend as we are looking for a long-term living arrangement.
I'm moving over from Perth in January to start full-time work and am looking for a few people to live with. Location-wise, I'm hoping to be about a 20 minute bus ride from Barton. Definitely keen if you have a dog!
Currently I am working part time 3-4 days per week. I have lived to share housing many times before and can clean up after myself and participate in the maintenance of the household. I would say that I'm quite amenable sort of person with good social skills.
I’m a public servant who moved to Canberra at the beginning of the year from Queensland! I come with a bunch of furniture and a herb garden. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of people’s space. Hoping to find 1 - 2 lovely people who are equally as keen as me to live in a social but considerate house :)
I’m an honest, reliable, clean and tidy professional. Pretty relaxed but do prefer a clean home and to share with others who like the common shared spaces to be kept tidy. I’m friendly and quite happy to share a meal or a glass of wine and have a chat on occasion but I like my own space. I’ve shared with 2 girls in their early 20s the past 2 years; it’s been fun to hang out and it’s worked because we respect each other’s privacy and individuality. I am open to sharing with people of any age if they are mature, respectful, trust-worthy, self-aware with a positive, can-do, friendly attitude. Art, hiking, cycling, Pilates, Netflix, great food, coffee and wine, board games, authenticity and honesty are all up there as things I enjoy and value. I’m really looking to live as near to my workplace as possible so Braddon, Reid, Manuka, Kingston, Red Hill, Garran, Griffith are my preferences. $300/week including utilities is my maximum. ** Im looking for a shorterm share of 4 months starting early January (I’ll be housesitting from May 2019)
Hi, I'm Riley! I'm moving up to Canberra from Adelaide in early 2019 to work full-time as a legal grad. Ideal move-in date is early-mid Jan, but can be flexible in starting earlier if necessary. I'll be working in Forrest, and am especially keen on places riding distance from there. I love cooking, indoor plants, campy horror, lentils, hiking, and brunches. I'm looking for a relaxed and reasonably social queer-friendly sharehouse where people chat and share a drink or dinner every so often. I'm tidy (used to work as a cleaner and habits stick!) and reliable, but not pass-agg about it. At the moment I’m living with my partner Cam and three other people. Cam will be staying in Adelaide for 2019, however he'll be coming up to visit on weekends a few times a year and for slightly longer periods twice a year during university breaks (he works as an academic). Ideally this would include about 3 weeks in mid Jan-early Feb, but very happy to discuss how this could work. He bakes and makes excellent cauliflower curry and is very good value. Would love to hear from you! Feel free to message or text.
Hey everyone, I m an airline pilot moving from Melbourne to Canberra at the end of the month, looking for a place preferably close to the airport.. I will spend some nights away for work and work shift work. I would prefer an ensuite if possible. I am easy going, don't mind cooking, and get along with anyone. Enjoy a quiet night in watching Netflix and talking crap just as much as going out and seeing a movie. hobbies include ultimate frisbee, car racing, water-skiing, motorbikes and hanging with friends
Tasmanian full-time student (including throughout this summer) moving to Canberra for work following an internship. Writer, nearly completed a professional writing degree. Ex-chef, love the wilderness and mountains, music, travelling, animals (especially dogs!). Relaxed, honest, happy, left-wing ideology.
Hii everybody! I'm Nadja and I'm from the Netherlands. I got a job in Canberra and I'll start in January. I'm very excited about moving to Australia. I'm pretty easy going and enjoy a glass of wine with other people, but also like my privacy. I love travelling, good food and also really enjoy shopping.
Hello! Our names are Rae and Sarah and we are a queer couple that have been the exception to the “no couples” listings on many share house advertisements. We have JUST moved to Canberra from Melbourne and are looking to find a place with like-minded people that have room for two, which would preferably be two rooms but we could potentially fit in one if a household can provide room for a shared office/studio working space. We have downsized and don't have any furniture but will sort out what we need for our room/s if they aren't furnished. Rae is an avid cyclist, DIY enthusiast, and a creative who works on their business from home. Sarah is a Science and Maths teacher who loves performance arts, Harry Potter, and pretty much all animals. We like to spend our time roller skating, doing fitness, and dressing fabulously. At home we enjoy a relatively quiet and communal vibe by playing board games with housemates, having occasional shared dinners, and cups of tea. We are mostly vegan but are understanding of all food choices (except maybe sanguinivores). Sometimes we like to have friends over but we honestly don’t have many here yet (please be our friend?!). We are experienced living in share houses respectfully as a couple and are understanding of differing schedules and needs. Respect and good communication in a house is important to both of us. Good house mates are queer/trans friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, SW friendly and have an understanding of mental health. Extra House-Points if you have a garden, chickens and/or other pets!
I’m funny, easy going and polite. Sociable and artistic. I like to meet new people and enjoy cooking and sharing a laugh over a wine. I’m a 33 years old and I’m a kindergarten teacher who grew up in Canberra. I have a little toy poodle who is very cute.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing for almost 3 years now, so I definitely know the drill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I do keep to myself quite a bit when it comes to share houses, just because I’m normally so tired from long hours. So you’ll normally find that I like to be in my room chilling out watching Netflix. I guess what I’m really looking for in a home is just a clean environment to be honest. Xo Lauren
I am a 29 yr old vet, who has recently moved to Canberra from Sydney. I love cooking and baking and sharing whatever I've made. I am always happy to sit and have a chat, but also respect the need for space. I clean up after myself and not opposed to doing whatever dishes there are in the sink. :)
Current lease ends at January 22nd 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
