Working full-time at Collingwood atm. Going to be RMIT nursing student in July 2017. I am a clean, cheerful, considerate, respectful person who cares about the privacy of others. I have been living by myself for 7 years, so I am independent and is a type that will "clean my own mess". I love dogs! I like cooking, swimming and watching movies. I am not a party animal, but a drink or chat is great. I am looking for a place where has air-con(must!), windows(must!), near tram/train station, tidy, clean, and comfortable to live. I don't mind doing housework on a schedule/roaster basis.
Hi, my name is Carlos and I'm a student of master in engineering at University of Melbourne. My wife and I are serious, clean, financeable stable and honest. My wife worked at Goethe Institut Sao Paulo for 8 years. We are a clean, serious and enjoyable couple. We are Brazilian. Shelived 5 years in Germany and I lived 1 year in Canada in shared houses. We are in Australia/Melbourne for 1 week and looking for a place where we can stay for one month or maby more to look after our own house.
I am a full time student/athlete studying Civil Engineering who works part time. I also work at my gym coaching Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and teach a kids fight class. More than capable of pulling my own weight when it comes to housework/cooking, etc. Busy schedule but I love spending weekends or any free time I have with friends and new people I meet, or even just chilling out for the night. Looking to stay with chilled out roommates who are easy-going / out-going and love a good chat. I smoke here and there, but not tobacco, hint hint, would love 420-friendly roommates but I honestly don't mind.
Hi, i'm John, 26 years old and have just moved to Melbourne. I'm originally from England, but have spent most of the last few years living abroad; starting with Sydney, then lived in Banff in Canada for a year, then NZ and now here! So not a huge fan of being back home...you only live once, so i thought i might as well live a little and get some stories to tell when i'm old. About me...i'm a super tidy, pretty chilled guy, looking for somewhere to call home and some awesome people to call new housemates. I'm planning on living in Melbourne for at least a year. I'm a big music fan...big into hip-hop; but love a bit of everything; from folky stuff, to rock, to house/techno, to jazz...if its good. So... listening to music, concerts and even making some music are on the hobby list; apart from that, big into snowboarding when i get the chance; always down to hit up some vintage shops and waste money on clothes, love eating out and a good party now and then as well.
Hi, my name is Michael. I'm an international student from germany that studies at Swinburne University. Hi guys I'm looking for a room to rent in the north, preferably near the tram 86 line as I'm a media studies student at RMIT. I'm a non smoker, non drinker, full time student. Im quiet, easy going, down to earth and easy to get along with. I get along with everyone. I'm friendly with a good sense of humor. My idea of fun is going to uni and study. I'm Conni, a 24 year old geology/environmental studies postgraduate student at melbourne university. I've had experience living with all sort of different people in Germany as well as London so I know how things are workingin a great shared house ;) I'm from Germany and I will stay for one year. I am creative, crazy, very thoughtful and very fun to hang out with and I like a good laugh. I have probably read about 5000 books but you will get the biggest nonsense out of me (you don't even have to try very hard). I like to play a bit on my Ukulele and I love all kind of arts, individuality and people who do things their way! I'm kind of nerdy when it comes to Geology and Arts and books. But always easy to get along with and interested in all sort of stuff - especially people and music. When I manage to do some outdoor activity I am really excited about it! That includes skiing, climbing, hiking, ... travelling too. If nature is to far away, I try to ignore that by doing a lot of work out in a park/beach/playground/... I'm a vegeterian and I like to keep kitchen and bathroom clean.
Hey I'm 25, looking for a chilled and sociable place to live, ideally long term. I work full time but definitely like to make the most of my days off and it would be great to find some house mates who like to hang out occasionally/have dinner or drinks together. Of course considerate of other peoples space and pull my weight with cleaning etc. I'm pretty artistic, really in to music and love going to festivals, travelling and exploring the delights of Melbourne i.e drinking too much coffee, going to galleries, chilling in the park, beaching etc. x
I am considerate of others, like a clean environment and pays rent and share of bills on time. I like discussions in general and have hobbies and interests. I think that is what makes me a great housemate! Looking for a nice place to settle for 6 months or more.
My name is Alexia, I have just moved from Sydney to Melbourne and am looking for a share-house apartment. I am starting up a graphic design course here so I will be studying as well as working here. I am a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys keeping fit, cooking and socialising.
Hi, I'm Genesis. 23 year old Melbournian. I've been working full time in IT Sales/Management over the last 18 months. My mates would say I'm social, fun and someone you'd have a laugh with. Although I usually only get to see them during the weekends over a beer, or at soccer during the week. As I'm usually busy working outside of your standard 9-5. I am clean and tidy. Always open to having dinner or even cooking together. Big fan of music and going to a gig/festival every now and then. Food, drinks and music is the way to go. Looking for a place in the inner north to settle down in for at least the next 6-12 months.
I'm an art historian doing a masters in art conservation and am moving back to Melbourne after living in Europe for the past 5 years. I love to do a bit of gardening, listen to lots of music, really enjoy housemate hang outs, am down for fighting the patriarchy and do a killer nutbush.
Hey! I am a 22 year old Dutch girl and I just arrived in Melbourne. I will be working here on a research project at the ACU for the next couple of months. I am looking for roommates that would like to hangout and share a meal together, but I sometimes enjoy some alone time as well. A little bit about myself; I like red wine, reading books and I am scared of spiders. Hope to hear from you! Cheers, Hilde
Hi there! I'm Sarah. Full disclosure: I just arrived in Melbourne after traveling for a year and am still getting my life together. I'm working a couple of part time jobs and am looking for a great place to call home for the short term. This includes finding a place to live. Hostels are SO expensive! I'm friendly, responsible, clean, respectful, sociable, but also can survive by myself. I need a furnished room and roommates who will at least say hello and ask how my day was! I can't commit to long term at the moment - one month ideally, but I'll make it a great month, I promise! Outside of work time I enjoy live music and sports, exercise, food, and good beer. I can move in at the beginning of March. Looking forward to hearing from you, Sarah
Hi there! We are couple that met while traveling over a year ago from Scotland and the US. We are relocating to Melbourne as I found a job in the CBD. We are excited to settle for a bit and look forward to making Melbourne our home away from home. We're friendly, easy-going, and respectful people. We're both clean and tidy. We love the outdoors and hope for a nice backyard or courtyard to spend some time in. We have lived together before as well as in a multitude of share houses and living environments. We are happy to socialize with a couple drinks, or share a cup of tea and some biscuits. We also tend to keep busy reading, working, or being outdoors. Give us a shout if you have a room available for a couple. We are looking to stay long term in Melbourne; but, want to sign up for a shorter stay (4-6 months) at first, before committing to a place for a year or more. We look forward to hearing from you, getting to know the people, and of course the city.
Hello humans. I'm 31, run my own business. Not looking for a party house but am cool with social drinks if it calls for it. I'm clean, stay pretty fit and healthy, play a bit of guitar. Vegan but have no issue with housemates that aren't. I need off-street parking for my van because it's full of tools and don't wanna park it on the street overnight.
Hello there future housemate(s), I’m Sanjit, a 22-year-old student who’s looking to move to Melbourne from Brisbane in order to pursue my Master’s degree in Food science at the University of Melbourne. I’m very reliable with rent and other bills (can provide references of previous housemates). I’ve lived in many share houses before so I know the drill! I’m hygienic, clean and tidy! I’m very chilled out and laid-back (so much so that I’m almost horizontal) and hope to find similar easy going and open minded housemates. Looking to rent a place for a minimum of 4-6 months and can extend it if it works out fine. I’m a very sociable person, love going out for food, drinks, movies and would love to find a chilled out place to call home. I also respect everyone’s privacy and will not be constantly pestering you haha. Since I’ll be starting with my Master’s degree, I’ll be pretty busy during the weekdays at Uni but I’m always keen to chill on the weekends. I love watching and playing soccer! (GO Manchester united!) I enjoy scuba diving, longboarding and am now looking into indoor/outdoor rock climbing. Also enthusiastic about patting dogs and watching funny dog compilation videos. I’m an avid music listener! Love rap, hip hop (artists such as Kendrick lamar, Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, The underachievers, Joey badass, J cole etc), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, The beatles, Jefferson airplane, Creedence Clearwater revival, The rolling stones, Eric Clapton, Queen etc), Electronic (Flume, Nicholas jaar, Odesza, Pretty lights, Eric prydz, Bassnectar etc) and sometimes when I’m feeling classy, I’ll hit up some Wolfgang Mozart (what a ridiculously cool name) or Bach. So if you love music, I’m sure we will get along!! Also, I have a pair of headphones so you don’t have to worry about me blasting loud music. Also down to binge watch movies and tv shows. So, if you think we’d get along and would like to team up or you have a room available in your house, hit me up! I’m currently travelling overseas and will be arriving in Melbourne around the 21st of February. Send me a message if you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hi everyone, I'm a 25 year old student from Germany who just arrived in Melbourne. I'll be staying until July for studying at RMIT University. Currently, I'm searching for accommodation around Melbourne CBD (max distance 30-45mins by tram). I'm interested into good food, coffee, movies, photography and sports. Soial flat-share or house-share mates are preferred.
I'm Cat, early 30s, working full time as a Social Media Manager at a media agency. During the week I'm usually at the gym, playing social sport or cooking dinner and chilling with some Netflix. At weekends I enjoy getting out and about, going for a run, out for brunch or having beers/wine with friends. I also like getting out of the city on road trips or camping as much as I can. I'm pretty sociable and easy to get along with and am looking for a place that feels more like a home than a share house.
Hi, I'm a student about to go into my second year of my bachelor of fine arts. As a housemate I'm generally very quiet and clean, but love cooking (not just for myself but for others). I'm very quiet during the week and spend a lot of time reading books or watching films, but I love to catch up during the weekends and socialise. :) I'm a vegetarian but have lived with both meat eaters and vegans so other peoples' food choices don't bother me! Also, I come with many houseplants. I'd love to live with other people involved in the arts, or other students but this isn't a necessity!
Hey future housemates, I am a sharehouse fan, I have lived in Melbourne with 2-5 other people for the last 5 years. I like to share a meal together now and then and do my own thing sometimes, whatever really. I work full-time in the city Monday-Friday and spend a fair bit of time on road trips/out of the house on weekends. Hobby-wise I am a coffee obsessive, and will likely have one in my hand when I'm at home! I am a pretty clean person and am happy to keep the house as tidy as everyone feels like. That's about it really, looking forward to meeting you! Tom
Greetings our future flatmate/flatmates. We are two, Lucie (24) and my partner Costas (26). We are a friendly couple, Lucie studies business English in CBD and Costas international business in Melbourne Polytechnic. We have experience in living in a shared flat/house individually and as a couple aswell, therefore we are peacefull, we know how to respect the house rules, how to be clean and quiet when needed. Lucie loves drawing, yoga, nature. Costas loves baking, science and motorcycles. We are as similar as black and white colour but get along as good as pizza with beer. We are responsible as individuals and as a couple, we follow etiquette. We don't look for a party house. Both of us can cook and know how to manage fridge. We both clean after ourselves and know how to maintain clean, especially shared spaces like bathroom and kitchen. There is not much that we would consider a perfect flatmate, we highly appreciate: * Not a frat house but an adult environment * A mature personality * A clean nature * Friendly people (being friends and not just flatmates is just awesome) What we offer * We are clean * We are quiet * We are open people * We are non smokers * If you like what we cook you can join without any problem, * If you want to join a conversation, a game, a movie, anything as long as you are friendly you are welcome. * We come in peace, we negotiate and dialogue and compromise. * Any knowledge we have can be yours we would be happy to tell you all about any skill that we have. * Awesome stories from around the world * Amazing food :D
I am a friendly clean and considerate Kiwi professional who is making the move to Aussie after three years in the UK and US. I am always up for a quiet drink or an adventure out to explore somewhere new! Equally, I do also enjoy my own space to relax after a long week. I am interested in health and fitness, travel, reading, eating out, coffee and having a good laugh or banter.
- Happy to become a part of the family or hide under the staircase Harry Potter style and do my own thing. - 25 y/o from the vast lands of Canada, working in hospitality - raised by a cleaner, so I tend to clean in my spare time - like to cook large batches and enjoy taste testers of my experiments; I make a mean roast - I make a meaner G&T - more than happy to crack a bottle of wine and hang out as a household - Ex-Financier so I pay on time; a Lannister always pays his debts - Reading, running, diving, soccer, travels, long chats fueled by point #4; I’m easy going and open minded to debates and opinions - Board games are my jam; they ruin and strength all friendships. Overall, just a laid back guy looking to enjoy Melbourne and join a household!

Hi, I am Sophia, 27 year old English girl. Moved to Melbourne in November and have been living in the CBD but I am desperate to get out!!. I am a nurse and will be working random shifts here and there but I like to be sociable and have a drink on the weekend as well as a good chill night in front of the tv drinking tea :). I am currently on my second working holiday visa and I am looking at staying in Melbourne until November, hopefully longer. I love music, animals and exploring the beaches- I am a beach bum. Looking to live with like-minded, sociable people :) flexible with move in date, just no later than mid march! Hoping to get a furnished room as I have no furniture and my budget is around 250 a week including bills. Thanks :) p.s if you have a dog, this is a massive bonus for me as I love dogs more than life!! :)
Hi there! I was born 21 years ago on a Saturday, which is still my favorite day of the week. I love plants, am a pretty down-to-earth kinda person. If you have a pet than that's awesome! If not, no worries, I won't bring in any ;). I study Media and Culture which involves anything media related, from the very first cinemas till the playfulness of interactive art installations. Having a comfortable neat home, where privacy is respected but friendliness not neglected (what a terrible rhyme) would be amazing! Hope to see you soon!
I'm a pretty friendly guy, and I love a good chat with fellow housemates. I also know when people need their space. I'm a professional graphic designer and a newly made gym lover, so I get on with artistic and sporty people alike. I love Italian and Japanese food. I'm looking for a place for 1 year or more.
I'm a 25-year-old exchange student from Germany studying a semester abroad at University of Melbourne. I am a laid-back and relaxed guy who likes to hang out with friends and I am doing a lot of sports like soccer, volleyball, running. Moreover I want to learn surfing while here in Australia :) I already lived in various shared houses over the years so that I'm used to that kind of lifestyle. I would love to do some stuff together with my future roommates but everybody should have the chance to have time for himself as well. I would love to hear from you. Cheers, Tobi
Hi! I am a media and history student from Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. I am in Melbourne doing parts of my master program at the University of Melbourne. I will mostly be focused on my studies since I am preparing for my thesis work, but I also look forward to exploring Melbourne's coffee shops and cultural events. I have been in roomshare accomadation before and it worked smoothly since I am very tidy, respectful of privacy and pay all my bills on time. I happily do my part of the cleaning since I know how important it is to keep the common areas up to standard for everyone to get along. My friends would describe me as creative and outgoing. On my free time I usually like to bike, watch tv or just catch up with my friends over coffe and a treat .Or as we say in Sweden we go for a ”fika ” :) If you think we would work well as flatmates, I'd love to hear from you! Cheers!
Hello future house mates, I'm Phil 29 from Sydney, I'm looking for a more permanent place to call home with some rad people! Things i enjoy.... boardgames/card games (backgammon), music>gigs, i play baseball here which keeps me pretty busy outside of work, bike rides, cooking and of course hanging out with friends. I'm well travelled and have lived out of home for a long time now, I'm super chilled and tidy! I'm pretty independent and i do have a sound group of friends in Melbourne, i just need somewhere to call home! would love to hear from you! :)
I'm a neat and clean person who also has a passion for traveling. I'm wanting to do a houseshare after renting through real estate for 4 years as I want to a global travel trip with my dog in 2019-2020. With the potential of moving to London. I have a dog. She is a Samoyed named Nova and she is house trained really well. Even tells you when she needs to go to the toilet! (She is an inside dog). In addition to this, she often comes to work with me as I am a dog groomer and she loves train rides. I play Netball twice a week in the evenings and I love baking!! Gardening is also something I have become interested in more recently so if you have a veggie patch or benchtop plants, I'd be happy to help take care of them. I travel to Canberra twice a year for just under a week each time and my friend minds Nova or she comes with me. I am also a student part time online so when I am home, will always be quiet and preoccupied. Rent and bills are always paid on time (can provide tenancy ledger). I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker. And have my own furniture. Willing to put down a bit of extra bond as I have a pet :)
I'm a friendly, outgoing person who loves meeting new people! I work full-time in Footscray with people seeking asylum and on the weeks I love hanging out with my friends. A few of my favourite things: sunshine, exploring the globe, picnics, laughing, dancing with my shoes off. I'm going to Europe in July so am looking to fill an empty room for about 3 months but my dates are flexible! I'm organised, conscientious, clean-up after myself and have a lot to contribute to my new temporary home!
Hi! I'm an employed 40yo female seeking share accommodation. I'm happy to have a chat and a laugh but also enjoy my quiet time. I read and love movies. I'm clean and also love to cook but happy to just cook for myself too. I leave early for work in the mornings as I work in South Melbourne so walking distance to public transport is required. Just looking for nice people to move in with as soon as possible with my own bedroom (shared bathroom is fine) and either OSP or relatively safe on street parking. Any queries, happy to answer them!!
Hi! I'm french but I actually live in Spain for 8 years now. I'm working on a PhD in Political Studies and as a french teacher as well. I'm coming to Melbourne to study at La Trobe University and to conduct some of my PhD fieldwork. I've shared flats since I was 18 and I enjoy to have a good chat and laugh with nice and interesting people, but I also like to have my own space to study or listen music. I'm not really into sports but I love music (to play and listen), movies and books. I really love pets (both cats and dogs) but I don't have one of my own.
My name is Leaira and I am a recent Master's graduate from UCL in London. Im from the States but Ive been studying archaeology and anthropology in the UK for the last five years. This is my first time in Australia and Im really excited about getting involved in the cultural aspects of Melbourne. As a flatmate, Im very tidy but I dont mind if others are not. I occasionally smoke, but will happily go outside. I love to cook so I'll probably cook you a nice meal during my stay. Im always happy to chill with flatmates and have a drink or two.
Hi, I'm Leon, 25, Male, Graphic Designer looking for a place to stay for the next year or two. I am from Singapore and will be on a work visa for the next two years in Melbourne. Currently looking for a job, I've just graduated from RMIT, having done a degree in a bachelor's degree in design (comm.) I'm usually someone that keeps to himself more often than not and will not be a bother to people as I don't really invite a massive amount of friends over every single week. I like to chill and just have a movie/tv series binge, or probably just have a good chat with my future friends in the household! I used to play soccer and was really active, but not so much now. I just draw on my free time and dreams to be a tattoo artist.
Hello everyone and anyone! I'm a reasonably exciting person with lots to give; I love cooking, gardening, the odd expedition or two, and especially books; I read a lot, too much. You'll find me most of the time obsessing over silly things like the thickness of lines, the texture of concrete, the right color pink; generally the stuff I do in my architecture degree. At home you can expect me to be super neat/clean and friendly, doing chores, yada yada; or taking cat naps in the backyard sun. In my spare time I try to keep up a blog, but otherwise I might be in kitchen trying out a new concoction.
Currently working part time at Woolies/a nightclub, studying at RMIT city campus, looking for a laid back, relatively cheap room to rent. Open minded, not fussy about who my roomies are or quality, just need a place to rest my head and chill. Likes hula hooping, going to the gym, having a couple of drinks and meeting new people, trying new things. I also have a kitty but she's back at my parents in Tassie, hoping to move her up eventually but it's not a priority at the moment (unfortunately :( ). Get in touch with me if you like! Cannot go over $200pw sorry!
I'm friendly and social and respectful. I really like to make a house a home, a place where everyone's happy to come back to family vibes at the end of the day. I'm a 23-year-old transplant from the states (don't worry, am anti-Trump) who is working here as a software developer. I really like to boogie in my spare time and have recently really gotten into taking improv comedy classes. I really enjoy the outdoors so am a frequenter of Melbourne's parks and try to hitch a ride with friends to go camping from time to time. Also, a huge fan of breakfast food.
Hi there! I'm moving to Melbourne on the 3rd of March from Inner West Sydney (it's the part of Sydney that is similar to Melbourne haha). I'm originally from New Zealand but I have spent the past 3 years in Sydney. Ideally i'm looking for somewhere temporary to live while I find my feet but I'm also looking for somewhere permanent - so open to both options if I find the right place :) I'm super chilled. I don't like conflict or drama. I'd say I'm incredibly concientious and considerate. I CAN be a little bit shy some times but equally super friendly and love random banter and a laugh. I am an absolute clean freak - I love cleaning but I am not anal about it or have expectations of how others should live - I just like to be clean myself. I'm creative, huge art freak, painting, gardening, upcycling, face painting (when people allow it lol). I work in administration/accounts. When I arrive in Melbourne I'll be attending a lot of interviews. It generally only takes me a week or two to find permanent work - I'm a bit legendary at interviews :) Fake it until you make it or something like that hahaha. If I sound like a bit of you feel free to message me. Open to any questions :)
We are a couple who are looking for a short term place to call home until early July 2017. We both have jobs close by in city. I work at a local girls school in South Yarra as a teacher full time and my husband is a Chinese medicine practitioner and Australian. I'm from N.Ireland. We would be keen to move in from MARCH 10 as our lease ends around this date. Though we can be flexible. looking for short term before we relocate over seas. Please let us know if interested. Thanks, Charmaine and Daniel
Hey all, Looking for a place in Melbourne while I finish my course in 4 months. I am fully employed at the airport as a trainee air traffic controller and paid a salary wage. I am fun, friendly and easy to get along with. I am a clean and quiet individual. I am happy to share meals, a few drinks and hang out, but also adaptable in the regard of respecting people's space and belongings. I usually enjoy going out for lunch with friends, listening to music, watching documentaries and where not studying, spending my weekend seeing new things. Looking for a quiet location reasonably close to the airport. I'd prefer a place to share with one or two others, but open to all possibilities. Hoping you consider me as your housemate :)
Hey, we're three guys from Spain and the UK. Ideally looking for a whole house to take over the lease but willing to settle for any kind of shelter. Many a cold, hungry night below the South bank bridge have forced us to face the bleak reality of Melbourne's rental market place. We're students at the University of Melbourne, chilled, clean, and easy to live with. We are respectful of each others privacy but still know our way around a night out. If you think we're a good match, swipe right. In all seriousness, please get in contact with us, seriously. Pls.

I am a 25-year-old Sydney-sider who has recently accepted a job in Melbourne, and the start date is soon approaching! I am an easy-going, tidy and caring person, who has the habit of busting a dance move, particularly when baking all things sweet. I'm very neat and organised and great with household chores. I enjoy jogging, swimming, finding the ultimate vintage item, hunting down the best baked goods and catching up with friends. I have an academic background in genetics which is the field I will be working in. However, I am quite artsy craftsy and known to dabble in the odd craft project here and there. I like having a relaxing chat, watching all sorts of TV shows and going on fun adventures, but I do enjoy my down-time and respect that of others as well.
I'm looking to meet new people, make new friends and have a good time. 23 years old, from England, and in Melbourne for the next 18+ months. I'm clean & tidy, arty and I like to read, but I also don't take life too seriously and enjoy going out for drinks and socialising :)
Hi all :) I'm looking for a new place to call home in the inner northern suburbs around April! I have recently returned from a big UK/Europe/ Japan overseas adventure and am starting an Arts Honours year at the University of Melbourne. I am currently working at an outdoor cinema. Ideally, I would like to start or become part of a three person share house. I have a lot of furniture and homewares - I am only really missing a washing machine, fridge and TV. I have previously lived long-term in a four person share house, so I am very familiar with the dynamic. I would love to be part of a friendly, sociable household that enjoyed things like having a chat, watching a movie, drinking wine, and even occasionally cooking together! At the time, I would really value living with people who are clean, considerate and respectful of other people's space. I look forward to meeting you!
