I work full time with kids with autism at a primary school. In my free time, I play sports (ice hockey, powerlifting) which keep me pretty busy during the week. I also like to ride my bike, go for walks/runs, go to cafes, listen to music, and read. I like my Netflix but am not really one to watch too much TV (unless I'm sick or it's raining all day). I'm vegan -- huge bonus to vegan/vego houses! I have a pet rabbit. She's a floppy eared mini lop. She's desexed and very cute, sweet, and clean. I've been keeping her in my room which I'm happy to keep doing. You hardly know she's there. I'm quiet and like a quiet place to come home to. I'm respectful of fellow housemates and common areas, am pretty clean and tidy (but not a neat freak), and always pay rent and bills on time. I generally do my own thing but can be up for a chat! I'm looking in a place with a large bedroom. I have all my own bedroom furniture and a few kitchen things. Gas cooking is always a plus. I'm also looking for a place close to a train station or tram, preferably on the upfield line. I get by on my bike and don't have a car. I'm looking for people who are mindful of their electricity/gas/water consumption and who also enjoy peace and quiet at home.
I am a 25 year old professional relocating from Newcastle NSW to Melbourne to take on a BDM role for an Educational Resources company. I will be spending most of my time either on the road around the city visiting childcare centres, or working in the CBD at the office, however will be required to work from home a little bit (and would love a study space/corner!) I have lived in share houses previously, and really enjoy it. I like to keep things relatively clean and tidy. I am an active and a social person - I’ll often be up and about in the morning with the dogs, and hitting the gym after work, but do love my wine and cheese and a night in or out as well. I have a 10 year old Jack Russell. She is an absolute sweetheart and gets on well with other dogs, but as she is getting old she spends most of her time sleeping or snoozing in the sunshine and isn’t too playful anymore. I also have a 3 year old Ridgeback mix. He is very quiet and loves a good belly rub. Where I am now, I take them out regularly, and am happy to help out with yours too. As I’m still in Newcastle, I can’t actually come and have a look at the room straight away (though am hoping to be able to come down for a weekend to check places out in the next couple of weeks), but am more than happy to have a chat over phone, Social Media etc, whatever works for you! My starting date for the new job is 3rd December (so soon!!), so looking to move in the days prior to that - ideally the Thursday/Friday before, but do have a couch to crash on if this needs to be pushed out a few days. I look forward to hearing from you!
easy going, sense of humour, honest and decent, clean but not obsessive, open and straight talking, not petty or nit picky, know when to keep to myself but happy to pitch in and be part of it too. non smoker, dog lover. Great job in senior management that requires a bit of travel. paying off my own place in QLD. a happy person.
My name is Andrew - I am 24, open minded, vegetarian, house trained and a keen musician. I completed an honours degree in fine art at RMIT and now as a freelance artist at home as well as a stage hand setting up events. I am an energetic person with good values and always keen for a chat but also always keen to not chat also if required !! My current share house in Northcote is being demolished and I need to find somewhere asap to stay for 1 month short term as I will be returning home to the Blue Mountains at the end of the year.
Hi there! I'm a 29-year-old professional wrapping up my PhD and moving to Melbourne from Adelaide for new full-time permanent position on St. Kilda road. I'm currently looking for a sunny bright room with enough space for a double bed, desk and chair, preferably furnished and preferably with an ensuite, nearby St. Kilda road or close to public transport. I'd also prefer bills to be included in the rent. I'm tidy, hardworking and determined but also friendly and easy going. I've grown up and lived in five countries and I enjoy exploring new places and experiences. I enjoy jogging, swimming, camping, soccer and cycling. I also love cats. While I'll be focused on a new job, that won't stop me from being a social flatmate who is keen to chill out and relax. Always respectful of space and privacy, clean and willing to help out and listen when it's required. I enjoy having a place with the right atmosphere where we eagerly look forward to coming back to at the end of a long day Looking forward to meeting you and checking out the place! :)
Hey guys, I'm 26, just moved here from London and planning on being here for the next two years. I've just started working as a bar manager in a pretty sick bar in the CBD. I'm gay, a pescatarian and a creative type looking to get back in to it. Clean & tidy, good banter and can whip up some pretty tasty drinks. I'm looking to get back in to photography and some directing work as I'm here so a creative house a ++. I'm also planning on doing a TEFL and a programming course, so not going to be your usual late-night/party hard hospitality character.
Hey there! Saw your ad on Fairy Floss and super interested in the room. Looking to move back close into the city with someone chill and somewhere cosy. I come house trained, super easy to get along with and with some added quality banter, don’t mind a drink every so often, love checking out new bars, restaurants, cafes and having a boogie, but also enjoy a heavy Netflix binge as well. Working full time in the city also. If you’re having people round I’d love to introduce myself and see the place. 😊 Cheers heaps!
We (Christy and Tom) are an easy going pair. As flatmates we are very clean and respectful, and keen to chip in however we can to help keep a happy home. Love cooking together and almost always down to kick it with roommates, while of course respecting privacy and personal space.
Hi! We are excited to have finally arrived in Australia to work after backpacking for the last 16 months. We are both in our late 20's from the U.S., clean and respectful, super low maintenance and love to enjoy a good beer after a long day. We both love being active, watching sports, playing cards/board games and meeting new people. Ask us anything!
Hey! 😊 I’m 26 from England. Currently working in a cafe but looking for a more permanent job in mental health. I’m clean, tidy and respectful. Enjoy chilled nights in watching movies but also love socialising and seeing my friends. I’m flexible on how long I stay - my current visa expires at the end of November 2019 so would be maximum a year at this point but minimum probably 3 months. Really looking forward to meeting new people and having my own room/space 😁 Thanks for reading!
Hi my name is Nicolas, I'm looking for a new place to live around Melbourne, I'm moving for work at least for 6 months. I'm quiet, clean, and easy-going. I like my privacy so I respect other people's space too.
Hi guys! I have just moved back to Australia and am looking for a room. This past 1.5 years I have been living abroad and lived/worked one year in Berlin - amazing city! I am originally from Adelaide and just now moved to Melb. Currently I am still employed by the Westpac Group (I was on a career break while I went away) but at the moment on unpaid leave. I just got back from overseas and am trying to get my boss to organise a work transfer to Melb part-time. I will also study Community Services in 2019. About me: I am so easy going! I have travelled around the world and led an interesting life in Berlin where I made the move spontaneously, without knowing anyone or anything there! And it was the best year of my life. Found a job, found a place to live and made amazing friends and created amazing memories. As a housemate I am: Clean and neat (this is a vow haha), respectful, fun (always down for a drink and an interesting chat) flexible (believe it or not in Berlin for 6 months I lived in a bedroom/shower - I will explain more when I see you and show you a photo lol) and organised (rent will always be paid on time and I do have savings already put away for that). I used to be a school teacher, a finance case manager and in Berlin a patient care adviser for a digital hospital, but will now pursue what I am truly passionate about which is case management in community services (hence a little extra study). My interests: -Traveling (yeah yeah everyone writes that, but I have been to some interesting places that the usual crowd would not venture to). -Exploring abandoned places (in Berlin I explored an old Nazi hospital which Hitler used to be treated at, an old abandoned chemical factory where we found documents from the 80s still there and laboratories...abandoned houses with magazines from the 70s and old furniture, clothes etc...the list goes on). - Techno music (Berlin exposed me to some amazing under ground techno artists and now I have a sweet collection of awesome tracks). -Art/Graffiti art...I love photographing graffiti art and going to different art exhibitions and galleries. Anyway sorry about the thesis, but I will be your perfect new flatmate (really!) haha and hopefully we can meet! Any other questions just ask. Peace!
Looking for a place in Carlton/Fitzroy/Collingwood/Brunswick/Northcote/East Melbourne/Richmond available ASAP! We are a happy and outgoing couple who enjoy evenings at the pubs or playing board games with friends. We're both bookish (esp Hannah) and interested in history and politics. We like to help look after the environment. Bethany really likes flowers and all plants in general really. We would be happy to live with pets (but cats only if they are hypoallergenic as we are both allergic!)
We are cousins originally from the country who've been through our share of share houses! With 8 years renting experience between us we know how to keep tidy, respect people's space and cook for a crowd! Both fans of footy, live music and great food, we are working students looking for a place to call home :)
Heya! My name is Pamela and I am an avid traveller, film buff, and language enthusiast. I enjoy a variety of activists that range from camping/hiking to leisurely wandering to just having a good chat with others over a shared meal/activity. I am tidy, respectful, and very responsible. I enjoy the social dynamic that sharing space with others brings, but also enjoy my alone time every now and then.
Hi there, My name is Ashley, I'm a 28 year old female who is looking for a place to share with 1 to 2 other females (not interested in living with males, no offence guys :P) I am looking for a large bedroom and two bathrooms in the house if sharing with two others. I work as a counsellor and study Masters of Psychology part-time. I am a friendly and easygoing person looking for a relaxed household. I enjoy film, music, podcasts and going out with friends.
I work full time but sometimes from home and like to live in a quiet home. I go out to socialise. I am from Melbourne and have a cat who likes to eat, sleep and catch lizards. I would like to live in a period house with one other housemate/owner, with my own bathroom and off street parking, near a train station. I like to cook and will look after your home.
Looking for an large unfurnished room & to move in early Jan. I prefer to live with up to 2 flat mates and I have some household furniture. I am studying full time and relative new to Melbourne. At 49, I am incredibly well equipped to manage myself. I have my own home, so understand what’s needed. Happy to set up house with another as well.
I'm a pretty easy going person, good to live with, love to socialise but also love to chill out and binge on netflix! Very respectful of people's belongings and space. Currently working as a medical receptionist and do a couple nights a week at a pub. I can't wait for summer actually... drinking a nice cold cider in the sun :) I appreciate the simple things, family, friends and positive vibes. If there is anything else you'd like to know just send me a message. Thanks

In my free time I like to Yoga, Netflix, Dance classes and may be a road trip out in country. I am LGBTQI friendly and would not want to live with people who are in any way discriminatory. shoot me a message if you feel we would be a good match! Regards, Vandna
So there is definitely 3 of us looking for a place to live. Depending on where and how much, there could be another. We would rather a place to ourselves as we know each other well and are comfortable. All wanting our own room and not sharing rooms. All of us, Me, Billie, James are from the UK. Rick is from Canada. All working and on a working holiday visa. Me and James have seen majority of Australia so we are very much settled to work now. Billie and rick would like to see more but not yet, they also want to settle for a few months to save. All very clean - me a little OCD but not annoyingly - , have previous house shared before. The picture is just of me though! You're welcome :)
