Hi! I'm a recent graduate from California that just moved to Melbourne to find a career in biotechnology or marketing within the science and health field while also continuing to pursue my passion for traveling and adventure. I love being outdoors and meeting new people. My favorite hobbies are running, hiking, trying/cooking new foods, and don't mind my nights in watching movies or out for some good drinks. I am a very social person that loves to joke around (mainly laugh at my own jokes), yet can pull my weight when it comes to responsibilities around the house. I am an easy person to live with and mostly only care about keeping the common areas clean, and quiet during reasonable hours. I am looking for a female roommate that could become a good friend to begin this amazing adventure with! P.S. I do have a 2-year-old pup that is SO good around the house (pretty much a cat inside, but loves the outdoors just as much as me). My ideal situation would be to room with someone who has a pup as well to keep her company, however, I'm open to all!
Disclaimer: Willing to pay 250 and below each. Pictured: Vince & Payton (Christians face couldn't fit 😂) We're a fun group of friends from different backgrounds that have known each other for a long time. We get along super well and enjoy hanging out or just chilling. We're an easy going bunch and making friends isn't a problem for us. For fun, we generally enjoy watching movies and going out to eat. The boys like playing ball and gaming (LoL) and as for me (Payton) I'm lowkey obsessed with K-Pop & K-Dramas but I do enjoy reading. We all love music and Christian and I were in our VCE band playing the drums and keyboard. Other than that, we have a pretty mature mindset when it comes to taking care of ourselves as well as others and we respect that everyone has their own needs and we wish to adhere to them. Coming from fairly strict backgrounds, we are raised by our parents to be independent and responsible people so this is our chance to grow on our own and away from the birds nest. We've had experience cooking and cleaning for a large group of people (our big families) so if the occassion arises, we can provide! We're also first year undergraduate uni students looking for accommodation to make the 2hr+ commute to and from Uni a lighter burden on us. Payton - Bachelor of Arts, Deakin University (Majoring in Criminology/Media Studies) Vince - Bachelor of Science, Monash University (Majoring in Biochemistry, Japanese elective) Christian - Bachelor of Music, Undetermined
Friendly, honest, clean, enthusiastic and active. Lived in Melbourne for 5 years then went back to NZ for 1.5 years for a work contract, but now I'm back! I like to get out and about doing exercise things, walking, exploring or some sort of activity with friends and having a place that I can feel comfortable to have friends over for a dinner, board games etc now and then is ideal. Occasionally like to have a night out but more often than not I'm pretty low key and enjoy relaxing, cooking, watching tv, movies and reading while at home. I work full time as a Project Manager and also own a businesses on the side with my best friend so I'm quite busy. I also have a long distance boyfriend who lives in NZ so I'll sometimes be away over there and he will occasionally visit me in Melbourne. I'm really just looking for a nice home to share with good people that enjoy some banter and a living a homely, welcoming atmosphere.
I’m 25, a full time working professional, living a pretty active, sociable lifestyle. I’m generally out and about Monday to Friday and keep busy on the weekends with F45, brunches, lunches, dinners. I’m very clean (I know my way around a vac), respectful of privacy and personal space and the living space we’ll share!
Hey! I'm a Swedish 25 year old student that will study at Swinburne University this spring semester. I need a place to stay between 19 feb - 30 jun. I have lived in shared apartment/house before in Norway for 3 years when I was working to save money. I have lived with both females and males without any problems. Im calm and social but like to spend time on my own as well. Looking forward to hear from you.
Hi ! I'm French and I found a great job in Melbourne, as a leathersmith. I have a WHV so I want to take the time to discover the city and its people too ! Before that, I lived in two different shared houses in France : one year with 3 other girls and another year with 2 boys and 2 girls. I really loved these experiences and I think I'm a trustworthy, tidy and cheerful person to live with ! I love going out with people, drinking a glass of wine (or two), reading books as well as going to exhibitions or gigs. Eating good-quality food and doing sport are more a "project of life" than a current fact but I'm a very motivated person ! Another thing : My level of english is approximate but I plan on improving it, so I'm looking for patient mates ;) Hope we will get along ! Can't wait to meeting you !
Hi everyone! I'm a girl from Germany, currently doing my Master degree in Sports, Business & Communication in Munich. I will be moving to Melbourne for my semester abroad at the Victoria University. I would describe myself as very outgoing and open-minded. I love to socialise, go out to bars/clubs, but also love to stay in and have chilled movie nights. Having some housemates to hang out with (and not just living together for the purpose of it) would be amazing! I'd love to hear from you :-)
Hey! I'm a 23 yo half-British half-Slovak traveller/ wannabe writer. I'm coming to Melbourne on a WH visa hoping not to end up unemployed or frying chicken wings. I'm looking for a private room in a central neighbourhood (I don't drive so public transport friendly!). I'm easy-going, fun and don't leave the dishes unwashed (if I ever cook). Ideal scenario: to be actual friends with the people I live & host dinner parties every now and then!
I am shailesh, 23 years old, moving to Melbourne for my masters from Deakin uni. and looking for accommodation. Easy-going, friendly & open-minded. Willing to share with anyone and anywhere. Always up for a chat over drinks & outings. Nothing bothers me if clean & tidy. Netflix addict. Pet-lover ( can even take care of them for others). Willing to rent om short term basis, say 2 weeks from feb 12 to feb28
Hi everybody. My name is Luca, i'm a 23 years old guy from Italy and I will start living in Melbourne from Januarty 24th. I have a WH visa and I planned to stay in the city at least 2/3 months. I'm looking for a private/double room in a shared flat, not too far from CBD or south Yarra. I'm tidy, organized, non smoker and friendly with everybody. Max budget $250/week.
I am Danish, 25 and doing a master of Biotechnology at RMIT. Just finished the first semester, and am therefore looking for something long term (1,5 years). When I am not studying, I spend a great deal of time going to the beach or having beer/wine and good food with friends. I have previously worked a lot with beer at Carlsberg, and at a beer bar with the largest selection of beers on tap in all of Europe (fun fact), both in Copenhagen - now I'm trying to find my way through the large selection of Australian craft beer, and could definitely use a bit of guidance from future housemates! Besides drinking alcohol, I go swimming a lot, do a bit of rock climbing and go for the occasional jog. I love the outdoors, so will probably by going for a few weekend trips whenever I have time. Also I am trying to learn how to skate... Still undecided on whether or not that's a good idea though - always looking to try something new, some projects turn out more successful than others... I am quite social and I might have mates come over once in a while, but I will always be considerate of my fellow housemates, as I've lived in all sort of shared house constellations, and know the importance of mutual respect. Think I generally clean more than most people, which doesn't bother me, and never seemed to bother any previous housemates (surprise!). I laugh a lot, live my life drama-free, and generally don't take myself too seriously, would prefer to live with like-minded people, ideally in a house where we actually share a home, and not just live in rooms next to each other. Get in touch if you think I might be a good fit for your home.
Hi all I am currently looking to move into a share house I was living in Melbourne for 6 years and recently had to move back to Tassie as I have family here and my living arrangements weren't suitable in Melbourne. I am a qualified cleaner and had a job cleaning in Melbourne for 4 years and 2 other jobs one year each I find it very easy to get work as I have lots of experience I can get work within a month. I also want to do my Diploma in makeup I am unable to do this course in Tasmania so hoping to start studying once I am back in Melbourne. I am a very neat and tidy person and I am also very quiet and like to keep to myself but also like to party and socialise occasionally. I also have savings and I am currently on Newstart rent and bond will not be an issue. I am also a non smoker and love animals.
Originally from Ireland, I've been living in Perth for the last 18 months. I'm relocating to Melbourne at the end of January. I'll be working in Epping as a junior doctor so I'm looking for somewhere between town and epping on the South Morang line. I'm easy going. I've lived in multiple previous share houses and I know how to get on well. I'm looking forward to exploring Melbourne with new friends in my free time. I'm planning on bringing my car across, so ideally would be looking for a place with a parking space on/off street.
I'm a friendly, down to earth, self proclaimed comedian. I love my quiet time but am also always up for socialising. I love making new friends and get along with anyone from any walk of life! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Aviation Management and love it! Prior to that I studied Psychology. I also work part time and have been at the same place for 7 years now - so I have a steady, reliable income. I'm a bit of a nerd in that I love computer games, playstation and binge watching Netflix series. Although I do not get to travel often, I love all things associated with it, hence why I am studying aviation. I loveeeee music, coffee and going to the gym (or at least attempting to). I play basketball once a week and am hoping to get a bit more outdoors-y this year and explore a little. I'm also a massive dog lover, so bonus points if you have a fur family member I can spoil. I have lived out of home for the past couple of years and love the independence. I am experienced in share housing and am always tidy, considerate, and respectful towards my fellow house mates. Though I like to think it'd be more of a home than a share house! Sometimes I do finish work around midnight, but absolutely make sure I am as quiet as a mouse when coming and going. Looking for somewhere long term, but can be negotiated if you have somewhere with a little less length of stay. Also happy to go on a lease if need be! Female household preferred.
Hello! I'm moving from Perth to Melbourne soon for postgrad studies, and keen to find the right sharehouse. I am: Solvent, self-employed, clean, and respectful of space. Like to live with people who are likewise, and enjoy a chat and a drink. I Enjoy: cycling around at random with other people who enjoy this (usually finishing at a pub), hiking, cartooning, and art exhibits that serve decent red. I'm Streaming: The Expanse, Westworld, Utopia, GoT, Black Mirror, BBC anything. I work as: Graphic design for money, also not for money if the client is poor, a mate, or trying to overthrow the government. I'm from: Like most people seeking accom in inner Melbourne, I was born in Ireland. Like most other people seeking accom in inner Melbourne, I grew up in Perth.
I’m a non drinker and non smoker but of course a Damn Foodie. I love cooking and also to keep the place near and tidy and expect the same from my flat mates. It’s been 3 years staying in Australia and have inhibited aussie culture as much as I can. I’m easy going and love to travel a lot and go to parties for being social.
Hiii.. my name is Wanjing, I am from Ecuador, 24 years old, currently studying a master in Unimelb! I am easy going, tidy and a laid back person! I respect other’s privacy and stuff but I am very friendly and social !! I am really interested in a private room as soon as possible!
I'm Spanish guy that I am looking for share apartment NOW. I'm graduated in Product Design in Madrid and two years of architecture. I'm easygoing, tidy, mindful of my environment and respect others' privacy. I'm also a good listener, pretty social, but also enjoy time to myself. I love the videogames (I have the nintendo swicth and we can play some days), music, watching movies and enjoy eating out. I love cooking for people (I can do a spanish omelette, PAELLA, spanish sweets), I don't smoke but I don't care if someone smokes next to me. I practice sports, for example crossfit, go to the gym, swim... If you want to meet us, send me a message!!
I'm Laurence (Loz), Currently studying an arts undergraduate (Int. relations and philosophy) at Swinburne as a mature student of 36 years. Before enrolling at uni i was working 2 jobs in mental health social communities and disability support, i would say they have helped me to become a very considerate understanding type person. I enjoy being outdoors and active so like going camping and bush walking as often as possible. I love all kinds of animals so if your place has pets it's plus. I enjoy being social and having a chat, though when uni is on I get pretty focused on that. Since I'm not into parting like a student i try to get my fun in healthier ways. I'm looking for a place that is a reasonable ride from uni (10km) and has plenty of natural light and hopefully public transport access. Thanks!
Hello. I'm looking to live with just one other female preferably aged between 35-50. I currently volunteer in Front of House for local amateur theatre groups and as a support worker in a residential Aged Care facility. I will be studying reflexology this year and work part-time to full-time as an Aged Care worker. I'm looking to plant my feet in the right house with a good fit so we can get the best out of each other and provide a peaceful, caring, supportive and enjoyable home to relax in that is equally our space and that we can share harmoniously together. I'd love the odd catch up but I also cherish alone time to recharge and re boot! My interests include foreign languages, the theatre, eating well and living conscientiously, going on walks and picnics, listening to live music and drinking the odd Red or White! I like card making and reading. And enjoy watching documentaries and comedies. My musical tastes are eclectic and I'd be happy to share an interest with you in this. I love cooking accompanied by the radio and yes love singing along at times too! I am low maintenance and like an easy going relationship with a housemate but I also pull my weight around the house with chores too. I like a household that includes compromise and good communication. Prefer a neat and tidy environment where things have their place :) I have lived in many shared accommodations so have wealth of experience in this area, but it is also a case that I'll never stop learning either! It would be lovely to meet you. Warm wishes Celeste
Hello fellow Melbourne residents! We are 2 Sydney natives, starting university in Melbourne in February 2018. We are 20 & 21, studying Science & Arts, well travelled and cultured. I have lived with housemates before so I understand and respect general house rules. We are both clean and we generally keep to ourselves unless we feel comfortable with company. We are regular drinkers (unfortunately) and occasional smokers. We plan to study full time and work part-time, with the help of government welfare so there will be no financial issues. Here are a few of our favourite things! 1. MUSIC - we're huge music fans, a few faves listed below: - The Contortionist - Balance & Composure - Karnivool - Erra (and many more but I don't want to bore you) 2. Movies, favourite directors include - Christopher Nolan - Guillermo del Toro - Quentin Tarantino 3. Travelling, some of the cities we have visited - Lisbon - Seville - Bordeaux - Seoul - Berlin 4. FOOD - our travel is just an excuse to eat as much as possible. We love learning to cook and already we have drastically improved our culinary skills. We are meat eaters but try to maintain a vegetarian diet as much as possible and generally save meat for weekends or special occasions.
