Heya. I'm a student-turning-yuppie looking for a year long stay/share. Once 2017 is through, my mission is to move to SF. The leftie in me hates that, but one step has to come before the other. I'm finishing my degree in IT and work part-time in an experience design startup. We do cool stuff with the Internet of Things (think smarthomes and fridges that talk to you). I'm more of a designer than computer nerd though. I like plants, film, and cycling. Selling points for me as a roomie? As much as it pains me to type this, in my last sharehouse, I was the one that generally did the dishes. NOTE: DO NOT EXPLOIT (please) I like scrounging up my own furniture if you don't have any - not fussy with this kinda thing. Pet project in the works: design and build some origami cardboard furniture. Like this guy: http://foldtheory.com/ Also, I have a projector which I'm happy to share. Sup?
Dutch guy that has been travelling for 2 months in Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines. Looking for a great place te stay and work full time for a few months. I can cook like Jamy Oliver, clean like Cinderella and like to sport. In the weekends I am always in for a party, night out, or just a relaxing movie night on the couch! I finished my bachelor Business Administration and did a Master Business Information Management. I have an one year old company that is in the 3D print industry.I Have no set date that I need to be back in the Netherlands and am open for everything! Cheers,
Hi! We've just moved here from the states for about 6 months. My friend and I are studying/working nearly full time in Melbourne. I promise we're not annoying Americans. We're really easy-going, would love to meet people and have a good time! Feel free to ask me any questions. Looking for a shared room with two beds. Excited to hear from you! Angela & Allegra
Hey! We're in Melbourne since 2 months now, we are 4 people coming from France. We're looking for a place with 2 private bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and one with 2 simples bed. We are easy going and not too intrusive :) There is Me (Mel) and my GF (Sabrina), we have 23 years old. And there is Sacha and Quentin, 22yo and 21yo. You can still propose us just one bedroom for my GF and me, we can split if we have no choice. :) Cheers!
Hi there. I'm a student of unimelb. Before moving to Melbourne, I spent 10 months in Tel Aviv. After that I worked for a digital media company in Beijing. I speak English, Chinese and Russian, love cooking and reading, trying to learn yoga this year. I'm easy-going, tidy, and very respectful of personal privacy. Let me know if you'd like to make a friend :)
I love to clean and am the easiest person to talk to you will ever meet. I'm relaxed and friendly and love a drink or two. I'm super respectful and work business hours through the week.
Hello. I am currently in between rental properties and am looking for a place to stay short term before I move interstate. I work full time in the city doing IT at the ATO, so I would ideally like somewhere near public transport so I can get to work easily. I am clean, respectful and courteous of other housemates. I know what it is like to share a living space and always pull my weight to ensure a fluid running household! Message me if you are looking for someone to fill a room short term, or if you want to know more. Cheers!
I am a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam who quit his job after working 8 years full time as a young professional in Telecommunications. I did this because I realized my current life situation was not going to make me happy in the end. I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. That's why I'm looking for a place to call home for a longer period. I'm also looking for work so I probably will be working full time or at least as much as possible. People appreciate me because of my positive, outgoing and happy attitude. I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. I don't take life too seriously, I just try to make the best out of every moment. I'm sociable, reliable, friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beers and I am a music lover in general (would love to learn to play any instrument!). Other things I appreciate: food & cooking, traveling, sustainable living, serious conversations, coffee, yoga, spirituality and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy place with a 'small-community' feeling to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor or surrounding area's. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you are looking for an awesome housemate, don't hesitate to contact me right away so we could arrange a chat in real life soon (that probably gives a way better impression of myself then this story)
Hiya I'm a gal from England currently on exchange for a year studying at Monash university. I've been here for one semester where I stayed at halls but am looking to move into the city to be closer to shops and bars. I'm really sociable and love going out for drinks and meals but my days will mostly be spent at uni and studying. I'm clean and am more then happy to share cleaning responsibilities around the place :)
HI there! My name is Patricia. I recently moved down to Melbourne to pursue my Masters in early education at Unimelb. Hence, I'm looking for a private furnished room around that area (happy to walk 30mins, trying to save cash on public transport lol) I'm pretty organised and I get along well with anyone. I am looking for a long term stay, prefer a quite/chill environment. Really appreciate the reach out. Thanks
We have just moved over to Melbourne from New Zealand and need a long-term place to call home! I work as an Account Coordinator at a start up company aiming to eliminate food wastage in commercial kitchens, as food/cooking is my own true passion in life! Aside from cooking and food, outside of work I love to chill out with a good chat, accompanied with a glass of wine/beer (not fussy!), or read a book whilst soaking up the sunshine. Tom currently works behind the bar in South Yarra, and is an excellent musician (though his band practice elsewhere!). Music is his one true love, but does enjoy food & coffee, sports, beer and joining me in a chat + bevvie! Tom also used to work in the horticulture sector, so has a good green thumb and is keen to get in to any outdoor space available. We have lived together in a sharehouse type environment for roughly 3 years now, so know the drill, and are respectful and tidy - with the classic Kiwi attitude of "no worries bro!". We are both total animal lovers, so pets of any kind are a major winner with us, and we will treat them as if they are our own fur babies. We do love our own space, but also love a family feel to the place with house activities/meals :) Let us know if you have any further questions, or want to catch a drink to further discuss any opportunities! Looking forward to meeting you future housies! :)
Hey there! I'm an advertising writer from the states in Melbourne on a working holiday. I saved up money for years, and can afford to live here without working, those eventually plan to start freelancing at some point. My favorite hobbies are movies, board/card games, poker, going out drinking/eating, and writing. Right now, I'm deep into a project for my friend's video game company back in the USA. Here's a little Imgur album with some pictures and more about me! http://imgur.com/a/SS6eK I plan on staying in Australia for a year, but want to commit to 6 months max at this time (with the possibility of extending!) Thanks! -Jake
I am a student at Unimelb, major in Linguistics and Philosophy. I am usually very busy with my assignments but I still try my best to have some fun hahaha and I'd love to chat with my roommates : ) A little more about me : ) • vegetarian • don't drink / smoke (but I'm ok with it even if you do) • I enjoy cleaning👻 • Maximum 6 months (going on an exchange from September) Move date : before March/10 Looking forward to hearing from you so we can organise a time☺️
Hey! My name is Jess and I'm a 21 year old muso who is looking for a place to call home, not just a place to live! I'm a 3rd year music student studying at the Victorian College of the Arts so obviously music is a huge part of my life. I play violin, guitar, piano and I sing a little bit too so if you're interested in impromptu jam sessions I would be more than ok with that! If not, thats cool too! However, I will need to live with people who at least appreciate music to some degree! I work two jobs where I teach violin to primary school students and work at a nursing home. Now for the selling myself part - I would say that I'm pretty easy to live with; I'm easygoing, considerate of other people, neat and tidy and not too in your face. I'd say I'm reasonably organised, so you won't have to worry about be paying rent/bills on time. In my spare time, I like to read, do all things arty, attempt poi, listen to/play/write music, see live music, go to festivals and spend time with my dearest friends. Ideally, I would like to live with easygoing, good natured, somewhat creative people who are around the same age as me (around 20 - 25) who are down for socialising and hanging out but can also respect my need for alone time as well. I love animals so if you are a pet friendly household I'd have no problem with that at all.
I'm a 18 years old French girl, currently on a working holiday visa. I know that 18 seems young but I'm often told that I'm more mature than people that are my age. I've just left highschool last July and I wanted to take a gap year in order to travel so I can get to know more about myself, get out of my comfort zone and to grow up. I'm actually working as a fundraiser, from 7am to 6pm generally. I only work on week days and during the weekends I either rest or go out with friends. I would describe myself as someone extremely respectful and open minded. I'm also such a friendly and kind person, and I'm very clean and tidy. My main hobbies are photography, art and travelling. I also love to cook but unfortunately I don't have free time and the energy anymore to cook because my job makes my exhausted. However I'm always up for a chat with my housemates, I'm very easy going.
I work full time at Melbourne uni (and study part time there too). I can be bubbly and social, but not in an annoying overbearing way and know when to give people their space. I'm respectful and quiet, chill and I reckon I'm pretty easy to get along with. I look forward to hearing from you!
Looking to move ASAP! Heeyy my name is Melissa, 21, English but has lived in Australia half of my life. Been living in Noosa Queensland but looking for a new experience in the city! Very down to earth and friendly, I'm very adaptable and get along with everyone! Im pretty social and love to have drink dates and lunch dates, or going out to gigs. Enjoy my own alone time too to and I've been told im the easiest person to live with hahah. Love nothing more than chilling and listening to good music with even better people. Im very clean and I love beach chills and cooking; Will happily make dinner for my housemates a couple of nights a week if you're into that ha. Been working in hospitality in Noosa for a few years now and I will be doing similar work in Melbourne.
I consider myself to be a peaceful, friendly individual with an open mind. I enjoy spontaneous adventures, treks, Music festivals, fitness. I'm someone who enjoys the company of others and enjoys time by myself equally. I tend to keep things tidy as I have mild ocd. Un-winding with a drink or some meditation is something I tend to engage in. Im from Bombay, India and currently doing my Masters in Monash. Will be spending most of my time studying or working part-time. Looking forward in meeting my new flatmates.
Hi, my name is Jay. I currently reside in Canberra but I am hoping to make the move to Melbourne in the coming months. A bit about myself: 28, single. I am a great person to share with! This is because I've house shared before and I've been through the usual trials and tribulations that present themselves in all house sharing situations. With that experience, I have come out on the other side unscathed and with a respect for others and their personal space. I work full-time Mon - Fri and usually spend my weekends exploring, attempting to get fit at the gym, countering the gym with greasy takeaway food, naps, PlayStation and bar and event hopping in hopes of meeting new and interesting people. What I am looking for: I am looking for a private room in a share house with 1 to 2 other housemates. However, if you would like to consider me for a team-up I'm open to that! I am hoping to find others who are respectful, clean and great to live with. Age, sexual orientation, gender and the like are no concerns for me. Just be yourself and we will probably get along! So with that said if you are seeking somebody who pays their share of the rent and bills on time, who isn't argumentive and loves escalating a joke beyond its limits then I'm your guy!
Nina & Kate met in Guatemala back in November and were planning to conquer this exotic side of the world anyway, so re-joined forces a few weeks ago and decided they wanted to try the Melbourne thing for a bit (while it's still hot-ish!) Nina is a plant lover, chef & yogini from The Netherlands, but has spent the last 8 years living in the UK/London. She has spent much time bouncing around different countries, but always returning to London; not any more, as she got rid of all her belongings and headed for South America last October, trying all the food and documenting everything through photos and writing. Kate is an aspiring writer, 40s fiend & rap lover from Toronto and has previously lived in Australia, but wants to live out her dream of working in a bookshop as a temporary (possibly permanent!) Melbournite. She also needed that extra push and sold all her beloved furniture to journey in to the unknown. Both ladies agree that - No plan is the best plan Wine is always an option Whatever you manifest internally is exuded externally Ned Kelly was a babe & both aren't a huge fan of - Techno Eating badly Self absorbed humans Negative vibes
Hi.. I am Elen, I come from Indonesia. I am studying master of commerce at Swinburne. I am looking for a new accomodation in Hawthorn area. I need to move out on April 12th. We are currently in the first month of our 2 year working holiday visa and are looking for a house/flat share for 3-6 months that would be suited to our work life balance.

Friendly, clean, easy going. From the UK originally, in Aus for 10 years. Work in online advertising. Like to cook healthy food, and to get out and about to artsy stuff, live music, etc... Hoping to find somewhere fairly central and someone nice to share with :)
Looking for a double room. Prefer to share with one or two other flatmates, only. I don't want a big house share! Not looking for a party house but definately looking for friendly housemates to have the odd meal and drink with.... I'm looking for a home, somewhere to relax and study, with clean and considerate (like myself) housemates..
Hi there! I'm Rieneke, dutch girl from Amsterdam who just moved here for a PhD at the University of Melbourne, so I'm looking for a nice place to live in Melbourne! About me..I studied geology in Amsterdam and Innsbruck (Austria), now ready to start a PhD in climate research, which luckily enough it became a passion. I also love outdoor, music, salsa dancing, reading, dogs, photography and of course the social stuff. Love to cook, also for roommates. ;) I'm looking for a roommate (or two or three) to share a place with, I'm also open to teamups. I'm easygoing, in for a chat or a drink, I'm clean (although there's nothing wrong with a stain of life happening) and I pay my bills. ;) Cheers, Rieneke
We are Unimelb students (getting our master's degrees), we have received scholarships, that cover all our expenses. So we are capable to pay for several months ahead. Looking for 2 separate rooms in CBD, or in 15-20 minutes walk to our university
Hey! :) We are very friendly, reliable & sociable people! :) Currently on a working holiday and will be in Melbourne until September. We will both be working full time and are wanting somewhere secure, clean and accessible to call home. We are a respectable couple and we are not interested in staying in a halfway house or a party house, although we do like to have a socialable drink with our roomies. :) We enjoy cooking and socialising. At evenings we like to go to the gym or chill out, and enjoy a drink and or a movie at the weekends. We would be interested in staying with another couple or another female. We are Northern Irish and would prefer English speaking housemates! :) Feel free to send us a message with any rooms you may have available! We would be interested in seeing pics and meeting up! :)
Hello, im Jaime from Mexico. I consider myself an easygoing person that likes to meet people, have a few drinks every now and then but also enjoys watching movies, reading and have a good conversation about life, the future, the universe, who knows. I believe you will not regret your decision in picking me and we´ll start a friendship that will hopefully last many many years. Im currently studying at RMIT architecture and hope to get a part-time job as a waiter or something else. I promise to always pay in time and ALWAYS keep my stuff, room, myself clean jaja. PS: I dont snore
I work full-time as a software engineer and am just looking for a place and a room to call my own. Short term or longer term is fine. I don't do loud parties, I keep to myself mostly and am always considerate of others around me. Being close to public transport is a must!
Heya! I’m Kelsey a 26y/o female looking for a new place to call home and some great people to share it with. Would be interested in teaming up on a new flatshare or coming into an existing. I am a positive, down to earth person, enjoy a good chuckle and am friendly. I get along with most people. I have a 9-5 working remotely as a graphic designer (so I work from home, yes mainly in loungewear.) Because of this I need a room that will also accommodate a desk & bedroom furnishing (I come with my own). In the evening sometime I will side hustle and work on some freelance projects or blogger stuff. I like to be friends with the people I live with so I’d hope we’d catch up every now and again and share a dinner or drink from time to time. I would prefer to live with females but if you’re a male and can keep a clean house I will consider. Enough about me, what’s in it for you? I grantee that I will pay my bills on time, I will clean up and I will be respectful of our home and your space. Move in date..? I am not in a rush. I will need to give notice so give me a few weeks/month to get everything in line.
