If you like a clean house, I'm your gal. If you need a good laugh, I can probably tick that box too.. I'm a laid back young 40yr old that is quite humble in nature & at present working very long hours. I tried this share thing a few months ago, only to find that the "head Tenant on the lease" is quite the bully, treats a share house if it were only his & quite threatening. Not the way I want to live! I'm looking to buy my own home in the next year and a half so going out on my own isn't ideal if I can find a different share house that feels like a home. Ideally, I'd prefer to share with just one person/ any home that is semi-detached or has a studio/ bungalow
Hi everyone! My name is Lili, I am a year 12 student with a part time job (hungry jacks), I am hard working and will always pay my rent. I believe in doing more than my fair share of chores :) I am only moving away from home due to family issues. I have a passion for gardening and my animals :) 2 rabbits who are cheeky but won't do any harm (I have everything they will need, however a backyard would be fantastic for their exercise & sunshine. I also love to garden so I can maintain the garden as well). I also have a small fish tank. I can only go to a place that can accomodate myself and my fur babies & fishies. I also own horses in Belgrave so a place close by would be great however I could live in Werribee and still be happy :) I would like to find a place to share for cost benefits as well as company :) I am a responsible, friendly, tidy & hard working person who you can sit down and have a chat with at anytime. I do find that I need my own space to study & have my own time. I am a very out going person, however I couldn't cook to save myself but I will clean pretty much anything. I only have my learners permit and no car so being close to public transport is a must. My school is in the city but I am willing to travel hours to get there. I would like to stay in a place where rent has everything wrapped into one bundle, I can live without wifi. I think I am a very accomodating person, I can live with anyone. I don't care about sexuality or religion. If you have kids I am more then willing to babysit. As long as we can have a chat every now and again it will be fine. I am also willing to increase my maximum weekly rent but only for the right place, however, it must be reasonable due to myself being a student working part time. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, but, please keep in mind that I am a student so no calling please :)
Hey, I'm Steph. I'm looking for a friendly, easy-going and relaxed place to call home. I love to cook up a storm in the kitchen, and will be sure to keep your belly nourished. I'm all about creating a peaceful, cooperative and fun environment, passionate about looking after the planet and living mindfully. I'm currently studying International Development at ACU and working part time at a cafe.
Hey I'm Maddi! (short for Maddison but that's what my parents called me when I was in trouble in highschool). I am a driven 20 year old who is wanting to save some money and house sharing looks like a great way to do it! I am currently the assistant manager of a Vodafone store - been working for the company for just over a year and a half now and I love it! (if you have any issues with your phone I can probably fix it :D) I'm very easy going and low maintenance.. and clean!! Some of my pass-times include gaming, reading, and drawing. I will probably spend a lot of my time in my room - I like to have me-time to recharge as I put a lot of energy into my job. I do have a cat, Dexter, who I would like to bring with me.. he's pretty awesome. I am a smoker at this point in time however I am trying to quit. Otherwise I am very respectful when it comes to smoking around non-smokers. I am vegetarian.. not the preaching kind haha! and not to worry, I don't get weird around people eating meat! Each to their own, I say :) Other than that, I'm chill as. So hit me up if you've got a room for me and my cat!! :)
I am a full time Design Engineer working in Lilydale, originally from Shepparton I am a very down to earth person who usually keeps to them self but is not shy from having a conversation over dinner or afterward I enjoy a casual drink every weekend or so. In my spare time I like to play games with my mates online usually when we can all organise a time, apart from that I enjoy a wide variety of music but lean towards rock and heavy metal.
I work full-time in shop fitting & commercial maintenance. Currently living with a friend and his partner in the Yarra Valley, however I am wanting to see whats out there and live a little closer. I am a very relaxed and chilled out person, very social and easy to talk too. I spend most of my time in my room and often play video games. I love to ride motorcycles and am a proud owner of a Harley Davidson. I keep tropical fish and own 2 small aquariums. I nearly always down for a good party and a drink but also enjoy being a recluse. I am clean and tidy and have no problem putting in and doing my share. I am reasonably responsible, very independent and punctual with commitments.
Flatmate bio [spoiler alert: this is detailed AF. But you’ll appreciate it is necessary to find the right person to rent with and this gives you the complete run down on what i'm looking for, as well as everything you need to know to make an informed decision about wanting to live with me]. I’m moving back to Melbourne after over ten years away and seven years working professionally abroad. Heading back down in December and looking to rent something from mid month and be settled in time for xmas and new year. Planning ahead I know, but you tend to do that once you hit thirty, which is another notch on my belt this year. I’ve grown up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and after spending virtually all of my adult life away, I’m keen to settle back there for at least my first year back and be close to family and just live simply for a while. I’ve spent my first year back in Aus living out bush in central Queensland and have come to appreciate the basic and simple pleasures that come with taking a breath of fresh air, away from the complexities of metropolis. I’m therefore inclined to live out Upper Ferntree Gully way, I’ve even found a few nice looking houses around Upwey. There’s two schools of thought here, either a nice house with a decent yard and outdoor bbq area etc in that area of suburbia, or something that extra 5-10 minutes out that’s surrounded in greenery on something resembling an acreage etc. Its a decision based around whats going to be avail at the time I’d imagine, together with the housemate that I move in with. Budget wise, I’m comfortable with something in the realms of around $400 a week plus bills, which split in two will work out to no more than around $250 a week each. This seems like a sensible figure to work with, given that properties in the area for that amount of weekly rent are more than comfortable and plenty spacious with a third bedroom that can be used as a guest room. Foxtel and internet come into the equation and I anticipate sharing all costs to that effect. About me, I’ve built my career for the past ten years and currently continue to work in business and legal strategy. I’m also starting back at Uni to finish and advance my law degree. I spend a lot of time on my Mac therefore, and enjoy working and studying with either Pandora (currently playlisting a Halsey, Vera Blue, Banks mix) or TripleJ on in the background (and/or on my headphones). Not one for living in silence, albeit not that much of rage head either. Ok, apart from the occasional stint of something dance or rock every now and then. Life's about balance after all and you do need to rage sometimes aye. To whatever constraints exist with neighbours etc, obviously. No objections on my end to a music festival or Saturday night out at a bar, or even a cheeky midweek pub meal with some live music that’s for sure. I love the live Aussie and underground music scene. I work out during the week, and will get some gym equipment sorted for the garage, just because its easier and more enjoyable to do it on your own terms. Plus the whole hype at the gym shits me enough to not be bothered to spend too much time in one. Eat healthy (a lot of fresh produce and clean proteins), drink honestly next to nothing, although always have a few beers, a bottle of champers and some decent wine in the fridge just for when that mood strikes once in a blue moon or family/friends come around for dinner. Generally keep the pantry free of crap, as I’m not that interested in eating any of it and it just gets snacked on when lying around unnecessarily. I've always had a jar of gummie bears in the kitchen though - great post workout snack! I do however smoke, which is completely at odds with the above I know. But need to have the odd vice here an there I guess; and I enjoy a coffee with my smoke in the mornings - outside of course. Don’t do smoking indoors. And yeah on that note, I love to drink good coffee. All in all, I’m a friendly, outgoing and personable guy. I’m well travelled and pretty laid back, but I do enjoy my privacy to a certain extent and am not interested in having a “high traffic” household to live in. I’ve grown up a hell of a lot in recent years and have come to appreciate that having a few close friends around far outweighs randoms coming in and out like a revolving door. Like I said, it’s all about balance. Looking for someone around my age, guy or girl doesn’t phase me too much, that’s not too dissimilar in values and current life phase/situation and can relate to my style of living in a general sense. Not interested in someone too much younger as a housemate, unless you’re seriously on the ball. I’ve raised a younger brother and have lived with various mates over the years, younger than me and I honestly can’t be bothered with the baggage that’s attached to it. Pretty much not interested in kids or pets or any of that. Unless you make a solid case on the pet front (i've had two dogs and a cat for the past 14 years and kind of happy takin time out from it), kids I don’t do at all. So I guess this can be summarised as being basically a mutual expectation of an easy going and problem free approach to daily life and a level and mature head on your shoulders, as you can obviously expect from me. I enjoy living in a clean house, and don’t do mess. Ideally the right housemate will be alright with creating the right synergies in everything ranging from mutual grocery shops to a certain extent, some meals, occasional nights in/tv/movies or whatever together. Just all the kind of basics that makes for a cohesive dynamic in living together. Ok, so I’ve written more than enough (it’s what I do professionally so it’s more a matter of someone actually bothering to read down to this point). If you have managed to get this far, you’re probably someone I’d consider living with. I would imagine signing a 6-12 month lease to begin, jointly in both our names. That therefore means it’s going to be necessary to spend some time between now and Dec getting to know each other and making sure we’re on the same page so as to be able to put up a united front for the real estate agent etc. Not interested in getting into anything that’s got the potential to result in a break lease. Suffice to say, I don’t intend to be out of pocket should this occur, and is a mutual courtesy we should both expect. As the right person will appreciate, some simple stability in life is all you need at times. I’m currently in that place and just want all things to be pretty straightforward. The right person will have their finances in order and have no issue paying bond, rent at least a month in advance, etc. (That's all part of the stability and having life reasonably sorted kind of thing i've been talking about). Not sure whether to expect any genuine responses to my laundry list (I reckon that the devil is in the detail as with anything in life though..) But if you’re on the same page and this makes enough sense to you to peak your interest, drop me a line or two and lets chat.
I am a massager who also know how to do cupping and acupuncture. I am good at making Cantonese cuisine and would love to making friends from different countries with different cultures. I wish to live in a furnished house or apartment with easy going, kind people. Female roommates will be my first choice.
Hi, my name is Rob and I'm looking for a long-term stay in a nice, quiet house. I start a new job on Monday and I'll probably continue working part-time as an Uber driver as well. I've been full-time with Uber for the last 6 months. I won't drive late at nights - I much prefer to get up early and take people to work so an early-rising household would suit me. I'm generally home by 7 or 8pm weeknights, 10pm Friday and Saturday nights. My main interest is SCUBA diving, although I probably won't be doing much of that until winter's over. I will need some drying and storage space for dive gear, say a couple of square metres in the garage. I also like fishing and have a kayak which I'll need to store as well. Other than that I am pretty quiet and unassuming. I get on well with people but I also like to keep to myself as well. I drink very little, I really have to be in the mood and even then I'll only have 3 or 4 stubbies at most. I do NOT want to live in a "party house" I am a NON-SMOKER and, worse than that I am an EX-SMOKER!! :) I cannot tolerate 2nd-hand smoke so a totally non-smoking household is a must!! Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers, Rob
Im a 45 year old from Darwin that likes to chill and have fun, I've only recently moved here. I'm looking for a large unfurnished space with an ensuite preferably but don't mind sharing a bathroom. A room about 4 x 3 m would be great but could be a big ask ... I like a good laugh with house mates but also respect their privacy , I generally like to chill or go camping ,fishing and dive in summer, I like to spending time with my friends (generally with wine ) Am happy to do something around the house, I'm very easy to live with, very clean and responsible with bills and house hold chores.
My name is Rebeca. I'm 30 years of age and have Latin background. I was born in Venezuela, but I have been living for the past 18 months in Sunshine Coast with a similar arrangement through Flatmates.com. I have recently come to Melbourne to broaden my horizons and explore new opportunities. I am personable but understand and appreciate people's personal space. I am clean and neat and like to maintain order. I have tremendous respect for other people's belongings and definitely my own. I am a pet lover yet currently don't have any of my own.
Professional full time (software developer) working in CBD. Seeking a clean quiet room (happy to consider furnished and unfurnished) somewhere near Upper Ferntree Gully. Expect I will be 3-6 months, but may be longer, especially if the houseshare works out well. Have a small child living elsewhere, so housemates need to be OK with a well behaved child over time to time. I would like a secure garage place to park my car (expecting to pay extra for a room as a result), with the property within 10-15 mins walk to a train station, as I work in the CBD. I'm easy to get along with, will always pay my rent on time, and respect others space. I'm both happy to consider an existing property, as well as team up with other people to rent another property.
Hi im alex and im 18 yrs old currently working at gemini repair centre cheltenham im Really friendly, always willing to give a hand, Chilled back, always up for a good time, super clean, always pay rent in time starting my spray painting apprenticeship :)
Hi! I'm april. I enjoy music, reading, watching tv and movies, cooking, chatting, playing games (both table top games and computer games). I love coffee and going out to eat interesting food (and will probably wax lyrical about both...) I play SCA (society for creative anachronism) - we dress up in medieval clothes and do interesting things like hit each other with swords and eat medieval food. I work in outside school hours care, looking after school aged kids at a local school.
Hi my name is Danai. I am looking for a home for my son and I who is 5 years old and will be going to school next year. His the best kid you will ever meet very gentle and well behaved :). I would be happy to hear from you if you are keen on sharing a rental property, you have a spacious granny flat or you have a room available in a home with a little extra space :). Iam a self proclaimed chef and I love cooking for groups of people. I love cleaning and I pride myself in having a squeaky clean home. I work part time 4-5 days a week and I enjoy hiking, dancing and I'm a peaceful soul to have around :).
I'm a medical professional, originally from Singapore. I moved a year back to Melbourne and now gotta move again due to a temporary placement in a clinic. I'll be away for 5-6 days at the hospital and I've got exams to prepare for. I'm pretty adaptable and a people person. I'm a vegetarian and tend to use the kitchen quite a bit but rest assured, it will be clean post usage. :)
