I'm moving to Canberra for 2 months to work on the Mexican Embassy, I'm very responsible, easy going, punctual with payments and self-suficient (i know how to do laundry, clean the house, cook, iron my clothes and even change lightbulbs and fix sinks) I love to meet new people and go on adventures
Hey there! I'm a bubbly 19 year old girl working full time in Manuka as a dental nurse. For fun I like to hang out with friends, go out drinking and watching Netflix. Most weekends I go home to my home town in Bredbo. I'm a bit of a neat freak so ideally I'd like to live with someone who likes to keep things clean. I like to keep to myself most the time but I'm always up for a chat. What I'm looking for in a house is just somewhere I can be myself. Thanks, Lauren.
I'm a final year student at ANU and looking for a friendly share-house. I'm a pretty clean and organised person. I don't smoke but I do enjoy a good chat over some drinks anytime. Generally, I like to read to de-stress and chill out watching netflix or horror movies if my housemate is keen. I'm a super chill person with almost no trigger points so I'd like to live with easy going people who can share a good laugh about anything.
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
Hi! I'm Alex, moving up to Canberra from Adelaide to start a grad job in the APS. I've just finished a business degree at Adelaide uni. I'm easygoing, optimistic and enthusiastic. I'm just as happy meeting new people or spending time with housemates as I am curled up somewhere with a book. I love cooking (pancake Sundays, omelette breakfasts, stew nights anybody?), comedy, hiking, markets, brunch. I also enjoy good banter, puns, camping and relaxed weekend cycling. In my free time I like to read, explore new places and travel - though coming to terms with only four weeks off per year might be a challenge! I'd love to share with interesting, relaxed people who are up for a chat and a glass of wine/bowl of food occasionally. I've lived in sharehouses before and am happy to do my bit to keep a nice home. I've previously worked as a dishwasher and a prep cook - would love somewhere with a good kitchen. I'll be bringing/buying some new gear, too. I also don't smoke and I don't have any pets. Hope to hear from you soon, Alex
Originally from Melbourne, I'm moving to Canberra for my Masters at ANU. I pride myself on being clean and tidy. In addition, I am quite independent and like my privacy but I'm up for social activities. While I can drive, I do not have a car (easy parking for you!) and this would Luke to live somewhere easily accessible to ANU and Questacon. My interests include outdoor adventures (especially hiking), dancing, boardgames and sketching/painting. If I sound like your next roommate, please don't hesitate to contact me!
I am a university student in my final year of study at the ANU. I work part time in Belconnen so I am pretty busy throughout the week and on weekends I am usually stuck in the books with assignments and study. However, I try to still be a social person by getting outside and exercising or catching up with a few mates. I am a very tidy person and I am respectful of other peoples space and would expect that in return. I am looking to find some easy going people that don't mind having a beer in a place that is close to either work or uni. If you would like to know anything more about me just flick me a message. Cheers
Originally from the Gold Coast, I am a second year IR and PPE student at ANU. I am clean, respectful but friendly so I love to hang out and have great conversations. I like cooking (and sharing ;) ), movies and occasionally a fun night out. Looking for someone to share the events of the day with, have a drink on Friday night and eat ice-cream while watching Netflix.
Hi! I'm Annie and I am a second year Arts/Law student at ANU looking for a sharehouse to call home. I'm neat and fairly studious, I like hanging out sometimes but not all the time, easy to get along with. I like to cook and to read as well.
Hi there! My name is Andrew! I am 31 years old and originally from Sydney (although have spent a few years abroad recently). I moved to Canberra about 1 and a half years ago to study my Masters at the illustrious ANU, and have since moved on to being a fully fledged member of the public service (I've heard there's a few of us!) In terms of living in a share house, I've got years experience and impeccable references! I'm pretty easy going, neat, enjoy the odd coffee/beer/dinner, and am happy to chat about Champions League football, politics or interesting stuff I heard on Planet Money! Oh, and I have recently taken up cryptic crosswords! Also happy to meet beforehand to see if it works (or if it don't). Happy days!
Open minded, easy going and friendly. Love to cook, have a glass of wine and a chat but also mindful of personal space. Neat and tidy, easy to communicate with regarding house expenses etc. My working week can be quite busy so i'm generally not home a great deal but enjoy socialising when i can. BBQs, friends for dinner and live music in more my thing than raging parties. Moving from the coast will be hard as I love anything ocean based, (i'm hoping my love for the ocean is transferrable to snow) but am keen to explore Canberra and surrounds. I'm into art (both creating and appreciating), travel and am environmentally minded. Oh, and I'm also a lawyer. Commencing work on the 19th of March and hoping to find a like minded flatmate before then!
Clean, quiet, respectful of others. I like to cook, mainly desserts. I have a malamute dog who is friendly, well behaved and house trained. Full time employed in the public service. I like to stay active playing squash and tennis.
Hello, I am an intern at the Embassy of the Netherlands, so I will be working 5 days a week. I am clean and tidy and I have lived with roommates before, so therefore know how to respect privacy :) I'm the most fun person you'd ever live with. I'm very social, I tell great stories, my specialty is cooking anything with cheese, but I also like to be by myself.
I’m 24 and I work full-time as a paralegal. I also study full-time at ANU doing Arts/Law. Despite that, I still manage to be social and enjoy hanging out — including a drink when I’m at home. I have a keen interest in films, music and politics. I also enjoy exploring the bars, restaurants and cafes of Canberra.
Hi all, I'm a sociable and respectful roommate who works full-time. I moved from Tasmania 4 years ago and have lived in two houseshares, two years in Kaleen and two years in Yarralumla (currently still renting here). My current houseshare is splitting up unfortunately as the owner is returning, meaning we will have to vacant the premises. I have a few household items (washing machine, vacuum cleaner, 50 inch TV, etc) that might help towards a current or potential houseshare. I have lived with a mix of couples, males and females where we have had a mutual understanding to actively participate in the household cleaning. Ideally, I am looking for somewhere close to the city (so I don't have to pay for parking whilst at work). My interests include my love for sports (especially rugby), and any dogs (my parents own 4 beautiful Rotties). I tend to spend the majority of the week out of the house, either at work or at training. My move date is flexible and am willing met any others looking to team up or believe I may be a good fit for their place. Thanks for taking the time to read the above..
Fun, tidy and easy-going, I'm a bit of a goofball, I love music, books, art and gardening. I'll talk with anyone about most anything. Grew up in rural NSW but have lived in Canberra for 2 years. I've been in many share houses over the years and I will always do my part when it comes to keeping the place clean and respecting the space of others. I appreciate good hygiene practices. I enjoy/need my quiet time and may have quiet days, but also love to sit around with a beer or glass of wine and have a chat. In my down time, I usually spend time in the garden, going for walks, or reading and I love heading out for a drink and a boogie occasionally. I am currently studying horticulture at the CIT. Looking to find either a room in an established house or teaming up with some people to form a new share house. Looking to live in the inner North or South of the city. I have a lot of furniture that I can bring along, as well as a pretty decent record collection. Flexible on move date, anytime from now. Have two cute kitties (Fernando and Harley) that I'd love to move with, but no hassle if not.
Hi there! I'm an civil engineering professional moving from Sydney to Canberra for work. I'm friendly and easygoing, most of my previous roommates in Sydney have became friends of mine and we are still in touch. Generally speaking I'm very quite and love reading, working, watching movies and play games by myself, but I also enjoy spending time with roommates and friends to cook, play or simply grab a drink and chat from time to time. I'm currently looking for a long term place to stay. Even though I put my preferred stay length as 3 month, I would stay for 1 year or longer is the place and roommates are suitable. Feel free to call or message me, txt msg is preferred. Many thanks!
I'm looking for somewhere short-term and preferably furnished (but not a deal-breaker to get my things out of storage in Sydney). I enjoy living in a busy house as I'm quite social. When I’m home I like cooking, playing music and hanging out in the garden (before Canberra becomes freezing cold)!!! I’d prefer inner north to be close to friends. I'm currently working in Deakin - I've worked here in a marketing role for 2 and a half years. I also work a couple of nights a week in a bar in Braddon so would be great to walk to and from work if I can. Living with great people is most important so happy to look at other locations. On weekends when I’m not working I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. I’m pretty much the perfect housemate - hardly home. I love animals so a pet would be amazing! It’s also a bonus if great coffee is within walking distance Send me a message if you have a room becoming available. Can be flexible with move-in date
Hi potential housemate! I'm James and in 26 years old! I’m moving to Canberra from Melbourne after been relocated for work! Looking for a friendly clean and modern place in or around Canberra. My job is based in Woden but will be working all over Canberra so not too fussed where. I live a busy lifestyle and sometimes work long hours, i also travel sometimes for work. while at home, i am generally pretty quiet, keep to myself watch sport and Netflix but don't mind the occasional chat or drink either. Weekends are varied but i do always keep myself busy! An ideal housemate would be someone with equal values. Ive lived with Boys and Girls in the past and haven't had an issue with either.
I'm an easy going person, with a few pieces of nice furniture, house plants and a very well behaved (and cute) cat called Nooshie. I work full time in the city but am studying to get into medicine on the side. Grew up in Tassie, but have lived in Canberra for 3 years now and prior to that I studied Architecture in Sydney.
I am quiet most of the time(stay with my computer and my books). However, I don't mind a chat in casual time. I can also cook some delicious Chinese food but usuallt I won't do it until there is a shared meal.
Hi, I'm Rach, I'm 27 and I'm about to move from Melbourne to Canberra on an interstate transfer (originally from Sydney). I work in the private sector consulting to government, so tends to be long hours during the week, but I'm out and about on the weekends, and looking forward to exploring Canberra! I'm looking for a place to live that's a home rather than just a room - I like my own space as much as the next person but keen to live with people that will become friends as well. In my spare time you can find me watching really bad reality tv (I mean, really bad - I use my brain all day at work and have no desire to do it afterwards) and trying to spend as much time outside as possible (beach, hiking, camping etc.). I've got a bunch of furniture at my place in Melbourne that I can either move up, or sell down here depending on what the place needs - also happy to buy anything that's missing if needed. My move date as agreed with the firm is currently the w/e the 27th of April, but can be flexible for the right place. Would be keen to have a guaranteed room for at least six months, but with a view to stay longer if it's the right fit.
Hi! I'm Vin, I work fulltime at ANU, teaching and doing cool research on mutant plants! When I'm not working, I like to kick back with a wine or cider and a good conversation or some Netflix. My passions include teaching, cooking, dancing and being active. I also enjoy playing board games, trying out new brunch spots on the weekends and going on hikes/picnics. I am a very tidy person and value cleanliness. I am quite social and easy going, but also appreciate my space and privacy sometimes. If this sounds like your ideal housemate, please get in touch and we can arrange to meet for a coffee!
