Hi! I’m a 23-year-old female postgrad student studying biology at ANU. I’m originally from Canada and will be living in Canberra for the next 3 years while I finish my degree. As a housemate I’d describe myself as clean, respectful, and laid-back. . I'm a non-smoker but I don’t mind if others in the house are smokers. I am fairly busy with my studies and I usually put long hours in on campus Monday to Friday. That being said, I'm outgoing and friendly, and I would much prefer to live in a home-like environment rather than just a “share house”. I like cooking (and cooking for others!), having a few beers on the weekend, and wouldn’t mind living in a house where it’s cool to have a couple friends over for dinner or drinks. I’m a vegetarian but definitely have no issues with other people eating/cooking meat! Some of the stuff I do in my free time includes hiking, bouldering, yoga, going out to bars, and going out to gigs and festivals. Please message me if you think I'd be a good fit for your share-house! I'd like to find a place to move in around early December. I'm flexible with the length of the lease but I'm looking for something somewhat long-term.
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
Tidy, clean, organised, lived with housemates for many years, enjoy cooking. Pretty relaxed with bathroom usage. Christian, tries to live those values. I'll be starting my PhD in Philosophy, but am currently a full time teacher, living in WA. Just wanted to see if I could organise accommodation in advance :) I love to dance (tango and flamenco) and come complete with multiple teapots and a tea collection. I have a habit of adding wine to almost everything I cook ... wine not?
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
Originally from Newcastle I've moved to Canberra to study Actuarial Science at ANU. I'm carefree, easy to live with and love a drink!
Hi All, I am moving to Canberra from Brisbane in January 2018 to work as a full time teacher. My partner will be working on the Army base and will be living on base for 12 months. I am looking for a modern apartment or townhouse with space to park my car. Furnished or unfurnished - does not bother me (as long as I can bring my bed), I am happy to purchase the essentials. I will be spending most of my spare time playing sport. As I won't know anyone in Canberra I would love to live with someone who would like to hang out for dinners, drinks, shopping etc. I am very neat, today and love cooking dinners. I like to keep bathrooms immaculate and have a strong dislike for old bathrooms with shower curtains!
I'm originally from Melbourne but have lived in Canberra for a couple years. Currently studying Actuarial Studies at ANU and working as a financial analyst. I'm super chill and very easy going. I'm a very social guy who loves playing sport and spending time outdoors. Will be happy to hangout with housemates from time to time and share a meal or have a drink. Also understand and value the importance of giving everyone their own personal space. I clean up after myself and will pull my fair share of the household chores.
I have a very balanced lifestyle. Between working full-time in a hotel and hanging out/walking my dog, I also love to cook, watch TV series and going out with friends. I am able to give my housemate as much space as they like but also enjoy a chat or maybe a beer together once every week or 2. I am extremely clean and tidy and although I like to hang out with friends I tend to do that outside of the home, and keep the home I am living in quite quiet and comfortable. I own a lot of my own furniture already and am happy to share what I already own. My dog is beautiful to live with, I take him out for walks everyday as to keep him happy and calm, but he does love a cuddle. Currently sleeps inside but I can arrange a kennel for him outside if needed.
I am organised and from time to time I like to keep my personal space neat and tidy. I am not a party goer and enjoy chilling at home during weekend watching tv shows with wine. I also love running and coffee.
I like having adventures, mostly outdoors on rocks and in forests. I’m fairly social and like hanging out with friends. At home, I’m fairly quiet but usually also up for chat! I’m an early bird and not thus not really into staying up late. But I do like music, gigs and dancing. I am clean, respectful and have many fond share house living experiences. I am looking for a home with other good people. I moved up from Melbourne last year.
Looking for a place to live that's closer to my work place in the Canberra CBD. I'm easy to get along with and a very creative person. I have a busy lifestyle working as an administrator full time and using my spare time to do as much as I can. I do swing dancing, go to Spanish lessons, go to the gym, go for walks, check out the markets and eat everything I can, all of which I'd happily invite a house-mate to join me if they wanted. Since I'm often out doing things I use my time at home to relax, recharge, and get some space; that being said I'm often up for sharing a bottle of wine, having a chat, playing a bored game or going for a walk with the people I live with if they are up for it too. As an administrator and a busy person, I'm very organised, and very clean so that my life stays on track. I'm hoping to find a place to live close to the CBD in October.
Work full-time in the city, so I'm looking to move closer to work in late November/early December-ish. I'm pretty easy going, and I'm a very clean and tidy housemate. I like being social, but I also respect people wanting downtime. I'm into sport and being active, and enjoy the occasional beer/wine/whisky.
Hi I'm Will :) I've been living in Canberra for three years (Originally from Sydney) working in tech support. I'm a clean, friendly and respectful housemate who understands personal boundaries. I've been sharing accommodation the whole time I've been in Canberra and have a pretty good grasp on how to live with other people. Always down to share cooking duties / other household stuff. I'm looking for a place with easy access to bus routes to civic (I don't drive) so I'm looking around inner north Canberra. I'm looking for someone who's clean, responsible, respectful and friendly :) Love a chat and a drink I love electronic music :) I put on the odd gig and coordinate online streams and various other projects with artists from around the world. bonus points if you're into that kind of thing :)
Hello there - I'm heading into my second year at ANU next year. I am originally from Sydney, and am looking for a place for me and my plants to live in the glorious capital (preferably walking/biking distance from uni). I'm studious, but easy going and I try to keep it tidy. I'm looking to move in at some point in January.
I'm an Australian male in his mid-30s just moved to Canberra. I have funding for about 2 years to do research, broadly in the area of sustainability, at the ANU. I'm a quiet but friendly guy happy for a chat or a shared dinner but also respectful of others' personal space. Favourite hobbies are outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc.) and dancing (lindy hop and blues). I am vegetarian but OK with meat being cooked in the same house! I've previously sharehoused in Canberra and Germany. The last couple of years I've been living by myself (in Sweden, where sharehouses are not so common) and while it's nice I do miss having people around!
Hi everyone, I'm looking at moving to Canberra by the end of this year from Melbourne. I am moving with work on my current full time salaried contract until I commence my studies at ANU in 2018; and will drop to part time work/an arrangement more reasonable while I study. Location wise - I've never been to Canberra and thus am not overly picky on suburbs. However am leaning towards something relatively close to Canberra CBD for accessibility and convenience to ANU and work. I am looking for a private room (furnished if possible). Ideally I would like to confirm somewhere prior to moving to Canberra so I don't have to arrange temporary accommodation as well. If this suits you, I am more than happy to Skype/call/etc to have a chat or two so we feel at ease/comfortable/etc. Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I will appreciate it. Maddi
I am a 23yo master student at ANU and working part time who has a busy life. As a housemate, I see myself quite neat and quiet, but definitely enjoy having nice conversations or share meals with housemates together. By the way, I am a good cook:) At free time, I enjoy cooking and exercising . As I do not have a car at this moment, I am afraid I will only consider accommodation in Braddon, Turner, Kingston or Barton. If you have a room available or want to team up with me, please contact me as soon as possible. Hope to move in before 9th of December. Thanks!
I am a recent graduate from Perth moving to Canberra for work. I am a considerate, friendly, tidy and easygoing. I enjoy the outdoors and also taking it easy or catching up over a meal. I am always happy to meet new people!
Hi! My name is Sarah. I'm a recent graduate from Sydney, about to start an APS job in 2018. I'm tidy, considerate and easy to get along with. I'm looking for a place to live for the coming year, preferably in Reid, Braddon, Turner, Campbell or Kingston.
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Perth late January to begin working in the public service. I'm looking for a furnished room and I don't mind paying extra for my own bathroom. I will be bringing my car, so a car space or easy parking will be needed. I love to travel, go out to eat and sleep. I can be quite the chatterbox, but also do keep to myself and like my downtime (naps). I'm clean, respectful and excited to see what's around the Canberra area, would love if weekend adventuring out and about was a thing! I'm just hoping to see what's out there at the moment leading up to my move :)
*NO LONGER LOOKING FOR A PLACE * Hey, my name's Daniel! I'm a psychology graduate working full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon for the last 1.5 years, with great housemates. Our lease expires on December 4th though, so I'm looking for a new place to move to around then. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: My current lease expires on December 15th 2017, so I would be looking to move between December 1-13th 2017. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate :) WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I completely understand if you want your space. If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.

I'm originally from the Netherlands, although I've spent time in Poland, Australia and the US as well. I'm hardworking and I love sports and being active in whatever way I can, especially outdoors. I put nine months as a preferred length of stay, but honestly I'm okay with either longer or shorter periods as well.
