I am a young professional moving to Canberra early 2020 from NSW to start her career. I am a tidy, friendly homebody who loves animals, movies and food. Ideally, I am looking for 1-2 housemates close to Canberra City who are social and friendly. I am hoping to find housemates similar to myself who are happy to hang out but also understand that everyone needs quiet time. If you have a dog, that's an added bonus as I will be leaving my beloved dog back home with family.
I'm finishing my last semester of uni at the moment and reside in Sydney. I've recently been offered a graduate position with my first rotation being in Canberra. I play a couple of musical instruments and like to jam every now and then and I also like to unwind by chilling alone or with friends watching Netflix. I need a place to stay for 4 months as of the end of January 2020 so I'm hoping to find something here.

Hi everyone ! I'm a 25 year old french gal Moving to Canberra in early october for work. I'm excited to discover the city. I'm used to living in flatshares so I'm (very) tidy, good at communicating and respecting people's space and I'm confident I can get along pretty well with anyone. In my spare time I love to go hiking, kayaking or exploring the city and testing out new restaurants. I also love to rest at home on the week ends and cook meals. I'm looking for a room in a non-smoking house or flat, preferably with other people working full time but I'm open to students as well ! Also if there’s NO carpeting around the house that would be a HUGE plus and I would sign a lease on the spot ! Feel free to message me if you want to know more about me. see ya !
I'm from Wollongong and moving to Canberra, joining the public service in a graduate program. I'm easy going, happy to enjoy some time with housemates or spend time on my own. I enjoy cooking, I love board games and don't mind a drink or two with friends here and there. I'm looking for a room with own bathroom for 4 months (leaving 7th Feb). I'll be traveling back home every couple of weekends and will have my partner visit on the occasional weekend. I'm looking to move in now.
I am 32 (soon!) and have recently left my job and ended a long term relationship. Looking for a fresh start and to relocate to Canberra from NSW Central Coast, currently looking for work in Canberra and for a potential new home, willing to share with 1-2 others, hopefully similar in age and interests. I enjoy watching movies and binge watching all the great TV series, I also love video games and reading- nerd at heart! I am easy to get along with and I’m a great cook, happy to cook for you as long as you help clean up haha! I love animals and would be happy to share with anyone who has pets. Men or women or a mix is no problem, happy to have a chat and make friends but also enjoy peace and a quite lifestyle.
I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm an enthusiastic (but not overly talented) skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker, and prefer to live with non-smokers. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 10km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
I am working as an APS around Forrest. I really enjoy nature and exploring the outdoors, going on hikes and to beaches. I also love artistic films, listening to music and reading. I am looking for walking distance to Forrest or a maximum of 20 minute drive to Forrest. I am very flexible and do not require a personal bathroom. Additionally, I am a neat and tidy person who enjoys socialising but respects others' space.
Hey there! I'm N (short for Narmadhaa), and I moved to Canberra a few months ago. I'm a freelance writer, and share house-trained. I like my personal time and space, but am totally open to sharing a drink and conversation. I read, write, get out a bit in the evenings, and am a sucker for staring at greenery.
Hi everyone. I am a full time APS employee looking for a place to move into late November/Early December that is close to Civic. If your share house/flat/apartment needed furniture then never fear! I have a heap of communal furniture that I will happily contribute to a place if it is wanted, including a dining table, TV and a couple of bookcases. I will be reliable with paying all bills and rent, am a non-smoker and have no pets. I only need off-street parking for my car (and will happily drive any housemates around). I am a fairly relaxed person and am happy to have a chat, be recommended new TV shows (I will give you my recommendations to) and attempt my best to bake things. Always happy to have few drinks watching the footy, but equally enjoy my down-time and will be very respectful of yours. Starting to look for a place early, I know how crazy Canberra can get around the time new grads and uni students are trying to lock something away. My current lease ends December 13 so I am hoping to secure something before then, happy to move in late November (so if you think you will have a room then I am your guy).
Lived in share houses in melbs, Sydney, Canada and London....returned to Canberra for family. Love to have a chat or wine with housemates in what's a home not just a crash pad :) enjoy most sports, brunch is the best meal of the day and flowers make the world a better place!
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne in 2020 to begin full-time work in the APS. I don't know much about the city, or many people that live there, so I'm looking forward to exploring what's on offer and making new friends. I'm a keen traveller and lover of the outdoors, and I'm hoping to get into cycling and mountain bike riding more when I'm in Canberra. I'm a big fan of sports, playing soccer myself, but also being a passionate follower of the AFL. My free time outside of work will most likely be taken up be keeping active and also socialising at cafes / bars. I'm an organised but easygoing person, and will always make sure that I am a reliable and trustworthy housemate in terms of housework and finances. I respect people's privacy but also would hope to live with a group of people that I can easily get along with as friends. Ideally, I'd like to live in the inner suburbs, but will consider further out if needed. Overall I'm not too fussed, I'd just like have my own room and have it finalised around the start of Feb. Feel free to message me if you might be keen to team up!
I'm Alex, a 29 year old male physics PhD student at ANU. I'll be continuing my PhD for about another 18 months, and I'm looking for a place for that long and maybe longer. I want to live somewhere fairly quiet, but I do enjoy chatting, sometimes having dinner together, and occasional partying (optionally). I've lived in a few sharehouses before, and I'm respectful, tidy, and chilled out.
I’m currently living in a small country town, desperate to leave and Canberra’s where I would love to be, I work two jobs here just saving up to move, and once I find somewhere in Canberra I’ll find a job or two there too. Not looking to move until the start of next year though. How long I stay really depends, haven’t fully decided yet, also really flexible with everything, suburbs etc I just put a few because I had to. I have a cat which I would prefer to move with me, I’m really neat and tidy and love making friends so I’d say I’m easy to get along with too. Hope I find the right place.😊
Hi! My name is Anna, and I’ll be moving up from Melbourne in early November. I’m going to be in Canberra to check out the city and do some housemate interviews on the 23rd, 24th, 28th and 29th of October. I recently finished my Master of Architecture and want to pursue a career helping figure out how to provide affordable housing. I’m moving to the ACT to study a Master of Public Policy (and work part-time) and ultimately hope to work in the public sector researching public housing policy. I like a share-house that is community-minded and friendly and I’m always up for a last-minute night out or night in! Around the house I am very tidy, and I try to avoid using disposable plastic products and I’m into composting and gardening and that kind of stuff.
Hi!☀ My name is Francesc López Seguí. I'm from Barcelona. I'm an honest, sensitive, tidy and clean guy. My daily routine will be biking to ANU and working with my laptop. I also like swimming and hiking (I'm a scout! ⚜). I would be keen to help at home if needed Hoping to see you soon! THANKS! 💫💞
Current NSW resident, looking to move to Canberra in early 2020 for university :-) I am currently a bartender/gaming attendant and will continue part time in the industry down in Canberra. I am a non-smoker and I don’t drink very much. I like learning languages, sports, chilling out, drawing and playing video games casually. Also don't mind a good chat (although I do take a bit to come out of my shell at first) but I do need my alone time. I'm an easygoing, open-minded and flexible person and I will happily contribute to the upkeep of the house. LGBTQ+ friendly
Sydney gal moving to Canberra for an APS grad job in 2020. Looking for some easy-going, social and considerate housemates - happy with a room in an existing share house or a team-up! I enjoy brunching, going to gigs and festivals, playing soccer, eating Messina, watching AFL, and slow Sunday’s. I’ve lived in a share house before and enjoy my privacy and space (and will be respectful of yours) but equally enjoy a yarn over a glass of wine after a long day. I would ideally like to move in Jan and live somewhat centrally, but am flexible on both of these things! Shoot me a message if you have a room or are also looking for a place and think we’d be a good match!
