I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm a keen skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 7km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
Hi, I'm in search of a new place as my lease is ending mid-September. I'd like to move closer to Southside for my work. I am a young professional with the Public Service. I'm seeking a homely vibe! I'm easy going, clean, respect personal space and for the most part, a quiet housemate. I do love to have a friendly chat over tea with my housemates and eat a meal together every so often. I'm past my clubbing days and prefer daytime social activities over late nights. In my downtime I enjoy getting outdoors (hiking, bike riding, swimming), dancing or doing some painting. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, send me a message :)
Not looking for a place until October Hey guys I'm a youth worker, I have escaped Canberra for the winter but will be looking for a place to live when I return. I am at that age where I still wana be social but also enjoy my own space/ alone time. I am a bit of a neat freak not guna lie! I like a clean non cluttered house with lots of plants! I'm vegetarian, prefer to live with other vegetarians/vegans. Love music and drinking tea ( I come with a large tea collection!) Racists and homophobes need not apply. I'm an open book so ask anything : )
Hi there! I'm Venus, a Canadian looking for a place in Canberra as I'm here for a working holiday for six months. I have a background in communications, and a deep love for The Office (US version). I'm easy-going, friendly and like to keep things clean. I enjoy connecting with people, but also being mindful of others' spaces. Looking for: - likeminded, organized, easy-going roommate(s) - a furnished room - preferably my own bathroom, but not necessary - looking for someone who isn't afraid to remove spiders In my spare time, I enjoy reading, museums, exploring hiking trails, experimenting with recipes, and watching Netflix, quietly, in my room :)
Hey there.. am from Srilanka.. am a new employee in town and looking for a place to move in soon.. am just a simple guy.. friendly and easily adapt to new environment.
I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into a two bedroom flat at the start of next year. I love to just chill out and read (I'm a giant bookworm and spend 90% of my time reading) or watch Netflix. I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good chat and movie marathon. I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal.
I am working for the War Memorial and I’m looking for some friendly people to live with. I’m an introvert, preferring to spend my free time in my own space doing my own thing. This usually involves watching movies/TV/YouTube, reading books or playing video games. I have a beautiful tortoiseshell cat named “Bast” who will be coming with me. She is an indoor cat, enjoys sleeping the day away and is generally friendly towards other people. As my contract for the War Memorial ends at the end of October and the lease on my apartment ends before then, I will be needing a place to stay. I will be looking for a place to live for a minimum of 1 month starting on the 19th of October, with the potential to extend that should my contract with the War Memorial extend. I do not have a car, but I do have a few pieces of furniture I can either bring with me or sell before I move in.
Hi all! I'm looking for a room in Canberra, as I will be moving up for work in mid-August. I'm 27, non-smoker and non-drinker. I work in the Public Service for the Federal government.
ICT policy professional moving from Queensland to Canberra in September. Usually a pretty quiet and chill person usually happy for a chat but can keep to myself if preferred. I have a young cat named spoon, given the situation I may not bring her down immediately. Tend to pass the time by playing a lot of video games, drinking far too much coffee, listening to podcasts, going to gym, and I enjoy parties and going out for drinks. I'm quite flexible in terms of living arrangements. Looking for one of two things, either a short term place to move into immediately once I move to Canberra likely without the cat, or a more long term solution where I could certainly bring my cat and there would be no issues with the pet. Given I'm travelling from QLD I won't be able to inspect the property. Need a furnished room preferably with a desk but happy to purchase my own if required.
I am a former professional Mathematician, moving to Canberra for the next four years from the UK to commence a PhD at UNSW Canberra (at ADFA). I am easy going, clean and enjoy a social drink every now and then - but nothing too wild. My interests include sports and watching movies. I am looking for accommodation which has good accessibility to UNSW at ADFA.
