I am looking for a place to rent in the Southern suburbs of Melbourne with easy access to the CBD, I am interested in either renting a private room or starting a share house with somebody. I have lived in share-houses for the past 3 years so sharing a space is not a problem. I would prefer to live in a house that has a nice social mix and create our own little family! I work in the CBD as a travel agent and also study 2 days per week in the CBD. Paying rent and bills on time is never a problem. Please feel free to contact me if you have something available or would be interested in renting a place together and we can go and grab a beer or some dumplings ;)
Hi! After working as a lawyer in Amsterdam for 4 years, I have decided to move to Australia and to find a job as a lawyer in Melbourne (so I'm still unemployed but hope to have a job soon). During university, I lived in a fraternity/sorority house and after that I lived with friends, so I'm used to living with different people and used to cleaning (definitely no hosophobia but I like my house clean), chilling and doing fun stuff with my flatmates (having beers, watching stupid TV shows, cooking, going out etc). I'm super easy going, I don't complain much and I'm not the most noisy person in the world so very easy to live with. Again, I like my beers and to go out but also love sports (running, swimming, rowing, cycling, surfing, boxing) and music (from 3-day music festivals to playing piano and learning to play guitar). I have already arrived in Melbourne and currently staying in a hostel. I'm looking for some nice flatmates (preferably in a furnished flat)! As regards moving date, I'm flexible Not really a plan how long I will stay, could be 4 months or 4 years. Who can help me out? : )
We are 3 friends looking for a house to move in around 20th Dec. We all very easy to along and hygienic i think these are the most important characteristics one will look in anyone for flat sharing.
I am pursuing masters at Melbourne University. I'm creative, clean, respect others privacy, outgoing and considerate person that you should find very easy to get along with. I love trying various cuisines and I like to hike on weekends. Interested to team up as well so feel free to ping me if you're planning to apply for any property. Cheers.
Hello! Our names are Sarah and Lily and we're looking for a place to move in to in Melbourne for early January. We're 23, from England and both in full time employment. We first arrived in Australia a year ago and having spent 6 months in Sydney and then completing our farm work in Queensland we're hoping to find a home where we can settle and enjoy Melbourne. We're both friendly, active and outgoing. We work full time but enjoy spending time with friends on the weekend. We're very clean and tidy and would love to finally find a place to call home. Please get in touch if you think we're the right fit! Lily and Sarah
Hey my names Michele! I currently live in Richmond but looking to move over toward the St Kilda, South Melb, Port melb area! Would love to be closer to the beach & closer to my work in South Melbourne too. I'm pretty active, like to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, get out & about on weekends soaking up all the great free festivals & events Melbourne puts on this time of the year! I like a Friday afternoon drink in the sun to unwind after work & chill out with friends/colleagues/housemates. I keep my wines for the weekend & am a 9 - 5 girl. I'm in Finance so sometimes work an evening seeing clients but rarely! I'm pretty easy going, clean & tidy, like a good conversation over a nice glass of red & looking for a house that has a good "vibe" with like minded young professionals. I don't mind sharing meals every so often I think that's nice in a house share but not a regular thing as I like to eat pretty healthy & you might not be into that! Free to catch up after wok or on weekends, Mish
I'm easy to live with, very quiet, not a party man (not drinking nor smoking). I'm not intrusive at all. Respect your privacy! I practice ahletics (as a sprinter). I love reading and educating myself. Into spirituality, yoga and meditation.
I'm friendly person and enjoy to spend time with people :) I like to cook and share and to make new friends! :) I'm unemployed but my family help me with finance stuff, so won't be any problem in payments.
I have lived in a share house before so understand the balance between fun and respecting others. This was in London and I have only been back in Australia for the past few months. Like to thing I bring a fun vibe to the house! My current position is in Sydney (so I am living in Sydney at the moment) however I will be making the move to Melbourne over the Christmas break. I will still be with my current employer thought so I have a reliable income. I work in the media industry so often have long work hours! On the weekends I love a cider and socialising with friends or a girls night out but also enjoy a Netflix marathon and night in. I also enjoy going for long walks and adventuring to new places on the weekend. If I'm stressed I tend to bake and share with my housemates otherwise I feel guilty eating it all... Please contact me, I would love to hear about the type of person you are looking for or if you would like to know a bit more about me.
I am an easy going female who keeps to herself. I have lived in many different share accommodations so find it easy to adapt. I am currently training for my first fight in boxing so I dont drink or party just like to live life to the fullest and enjoy the simple things. I currently work part time in a family business delivering fruit and vegetables and receive centerlink benefits. I recently received The diploma of community services ( AOD & Mental Health) and will be looking for work in this sector in the new year. I am looking to move as soon as possible as I am currently living in doncaster and it is to far away from my commitments and friends :)
Hi Everyone, My name is Niketa and I will be arriving in Melbourne on January 2, 2017. I am looking for a place before I arrive. I will be attending Melbourne Law School in February 2017. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Criminology and I am now pursuing my law degree. I want to find a place that is about a 20 minute commute to my school. Also, I prefer a private bedroom with it's own washroom (ensuite preferred). I am a mature, energetic, independent young woman who has a vast array of dreams and ambitions to accomplish. I have a great sense of humor and I would say that I am a very social person, but I also like my alone time especially when it comes to studying for school. I'm a huge foodie. Toronto has every cultural restaurant you can think of and I love going out to restaurants to try different foods as well as cooking at home. My specialty though is baking cheesecake with a twist. I also love to read, dance and listen to music on my down time. I love the outdoors. I enjoy rollerblading and going for walks/hikes.
Hey! I'm a 32 - year old Finnish guy who's starting his psychology studies on February, 2017. I'm looking for a calm and clean living environment with flatmates who are considerate and respectful towards each other. On my free time I like to do a bit of cooking, working out in the gym, and mashing some yummy brunch into my face. When the weather isn't too cold, I like to sunbake at the beach.
FURNISHED PLEASE! i am too broke to buy my own furniture for such a short period of time hahah :) I'm very down to earth, I love to just sit, hang out, watch a movie or some TV and talk about random stuff. I am VERY clean! Almost clean to the point of fault haha I hate mess!! Im vegan, so I'm always trying to make weird, cool things. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't haha. I'm obsessed with cats! I have my guitar and sing and play all the time!! I'm new to Melbourne so if you ever want to go for walks around the city with me, join me and we can people watch and drink coffee and see all the cool things :)
Hi Everyone, I am from melbourne and currently working full time in the CBD area. I need to find a new place that is closer to my current job and will be looking for flatmates to share a place with that enjoy being positive, having a chat and enjoy everyday life. I am neat and tidy person who will always clean up, be supportive of my flatmates and cook in my spare time. I am pretty social, easy going and respectful of everyone and enjoy going new places with friends for a drink or even a road trip. I like pets, going to gym when I can and don't mind watching a bit of Netflix from time to time. Look forward to hearing from you, please send me a message if your interested!
Hi there! I'm Erica, I'm a pretty easygoing and respectful housemate who is looking for a place in Burnley. I'm social, but equally in need of downtime. Not looking to bring the party home, but generally up for a cheeky vino. Relatively active, I'm keen on Pilates, tennis & swimming... then undoing all that good work with a good feed, either cooking at home or checking out new restaurants. Looking for a clean, mature, fun housemate. Cheers!
I'm moving to Melbourne mid-December and looking for a permanent place (at least 6 months) starting latest by January 11th. Just a bit about myself - I'm 26, grew up in Bangkok, and have lived in Singapore for the past 8 years. I'm completely new to Melbourne and will be moving there with a full-time job in market research. I enjoy spending down time at home watching shows on Netflix, doing some light cooking, and generally hanging around. I'm definitely a clean/tidy person and respect others' privacy when needed. I don't throw parties at home either as I prefer it to be place to relax :) I'm looking for a likeminded housemate who I can get along with as friends and of course, even better if you would like to explore new places in and around Melbourne with me! x
We have been living in Fitzroy North since July, and love area, but the owner of our place is selling so we have to move. Move date sometime in late December is ideal, but flexible in Dec/Jan. My name is Hoss, 31 years old and a recent engineering grad currently living in Geelong. I'm a very outdoorsy person and love to hike. My interests are food, dogs, hanging out a having a beer, and reading. Self-funded person and currently looking for a professional position. I would love a movie night or BBQ night every so often when housemates are not busy and have free time. I love my family and my nephew. I have traveled for quite a while and lived in different countries. Hi, I'm Eileen, 27 years old. I'm from the US and have been working in Boston in the pharmaceutical industry for the past few years. I just moved to Melbourne in July and study at Melbourne Business School. It's great to finally live in the same timezone as Hoss! I love sports, hiking, rock climbing, riding my bike, and I think Hoss stole my thunder will the rest of my interests like food, a good beer, and reading. Random interest: slam poetry. During my time in Boston, I managed to find a women's Aussie rules club that I played for! Although I'm busy with school, I hope to have some spare time to explore the city, and get a few hikes and beach days in!
I'm 23 and have recently moved to Melbourne from Scotland and looking for a place to call home! I currently work a part time job in Saint Kilda and agency work in various locations, I also have savings so am entirely self sufficient! I've lived in shared houses since I was 15 so know the responsibilities that come with it. I'm respectful of people's space and like to keep things tidy! I'd love to live with people who are also in their twenties and like to hang out as a flat from time to time over a social glass of wine or semi-heated game of monopoly. For fun I love to update my blog, attend live music events, see more of the world and cook. I'm a total feeder and also make mean cupcakes that I would be willing to share with flatmates 😉 Looking for private room in shared house and available to move in now for any period from 2-4 months!
I'm from New Zealand and am moving to Melbourne to attend Melbourne Uni. In my downtime I like tolisten to/play music, cook, or go for a run. I'm pretty tidy as far as guys go and always pitch in around the house. Most of all I'm easy going and social, and am happy both either going out and having a quiet night in with the flatties.
My name is Libby! I'm a 29 year old country girl. For a living I work as a Car Sales Professional - and am moving into a new dealership in Melbourne and looking for people to live with (an hour commute from Ballarat where I live is just unreasonable!) I HATE filling these things out so bear with me. I love to cook and have no idea how to cook a meal for one so if you like your food then you'll love having me on board. I am fitness obsessed and am training for New York City Marathon in 2017 with a possible Marathon in June/July I love to have a glass of wine (in fact I think it's a pre-requisite if you work in vehicle sales) and debrief after work, but I have lived in Melbourne before so won't be in your pocket. Am happy to have pets in the house - my Mum is a vet too which is an added bonus. I am a heavy sleeper - which works well for other people in the house as I do have a tendency to be a grandma during training season. Am a social butterfly but also like space and am happy to have my own solo downtime I am looking anywhere in central Melbourne to be honest the closer to Collingwood the better. I ideally would like a modern house, and am happy to pay more for the master bedroom/ensuite. Even teaming up to make a awesome sharehouse!
Two 23 year old females looking for a fun house/flat share! Both been travelling together for just over two months through south east Asia and are now coming to Melbourne on a working visa! Previously one was a primary school teacher and the other worked in the events industry. Both extremely socialable, outgoing and originally from London. Also very easy going and get along with everyone. Pride ourselves on being neat and tidy housemates.
Hey guys, I quit uni in Sydney a couple of months ago to move down here and make money for travelling the world! I'm currently working at riverland bar in the city which is awesome fun. I love music and cooking food (and eating :P) I'm a very social person and love to have people around that enjoy a good laugh!
I am a redheaded Swedish girl who's mostly happy, easy going, very tidy and hard working. I work a lot but always looking to have a good time, do new things weather it's watching a new movie or go to a new part of town. I'm looking for a cheap place to stay so that I can save my money to do fun activities rather than spend it all on accommodation. I am very open minded, have no allergies, love cats!
My name is Becca, I’m 27, I’m from Tassie originally but been in Melbourne since Feb last year :) I work a few different jobs: I’m an artist (mostly musician but do a bunch of other kinds of arts too). I’m a self-employed voice coach, teaching technique for singing & speech (but mostly singing). I work about 2 days a week at Mork Chocolate Brewhouse in North Melbourne (from which I bring home tasty treats sometimes!) but am also currently applying for more/new jobs. I also model for life drawing classes and sometimes do other random odd jobs here & there. I’m looking for a home, not just a house; I am a busy person who does my own thing a lot and has a lot of projects I’m working on, so I’m not wanting to live out of each other’s pockets, but I also want to have a place where we hang a bit in the communal areas in the evenings and chat about our days or talk shit, cook & eat together now and then, hang out in the sun on good days and have a beer. In my current house there isn’t much of a good shared lounge area and everyone just kind of lives in their rooms all the time and I am craving a little bit more of a casual family vibe. I don’t smoke, I’ve never been late on rent or bills, I like to be energy usage conscious though not anally-so, I like to try to be good to the environment. I’m great at cleaning and I’m house-proud; I am happiest when my place is looking clean and beautiful, I like indoor plants, sunshine, fresh air, and putting up art :) I’m often singing but I’m told I’m good at it, I like to put on loud music and dance around the house when I’m home alone or if someone wants to dance with, but am also very capable of quieting the fuck down when people need to sleep/concentrate. I’m silly, playful, and affectionate, but also a proper grown up. Ideally I’m looking for a place which has a sunroom/study/spare room/office where I would be able to set up my desk & teach my voice students from. I teach about 3 days a week, 5 hours maximum, finishing by 8pm at the latest (a lot of the time a lot less/earlier). Totally keen to make said teaching room also a shared art room and useable by anyone else at times when I’m not teaching! Or happy to pay a little extra rent for the use of the extra room. I've put $280 per week as max budget but I am really hoping to get a lot less than that. I'm currently paying $200/week. Around $240 would be the highest I'm really hoping to go.
Hi my name is Alexandra I am a very quiet and clean person, I am a sociable person but I like spending time alone too. My hobbies are walking and going out with friends. Hi Guys, I have recently moved back to Brisbane after being in north QLD for the last 3 years. i'm moving over from new zealand to study audio production / composition in 2017. i'm looking for a place that respects privacy and space, but i am always down on getting a lil crazy and having a good time. i enjoy going to art exhibitions, gigs, clubs, fashion shows etc, would be nice to share a place with people into doing similar things -- im kinda an average cook haha but i can make a gr8 butter chicken. im also a good shoulder to cry on. my room may get a little messy from time to time but i will alwaaays keep communal spaces clean lol get in contact w/ me !! xxoo
Hi there! My name is Karolina. I am a 32 year old professional 9-5 worker who is looking for a new place to call my home. I am a neat and tidy person, who respects the place I live in. I like to do my own groceries, and as I am a vegetarian (I do eat fish) I like to cook my own food, but am more then happy to share. I do have a 2.5 year old foxy called Sparrow , who is a little shy at first, but is full of beans once he gets to know you. He is very house trained and super affectionate. He also loves the company of other dogs, so if you have a pooch yourself, that would be great! If the house has a garden, Sparrow loves to explore, and I have a bit of a green thumb where I grow herbs and some veggies - which I use in my cooking. I am looking for people who like to have a chat over a glass of wine, but also don't mind if we do our own thing and respect each others space.
Hi! I'm Silan. I landed here from Turkey, about a week ago, my visa for a year. I'm 27 years old. Play basketball back home for the city , travel a lot while I can, and super easy going, tidy and clean. I like to be live with the enjoyable and energetic people like me. I can cook the traditional foods and I like to share my culture with the other people. We could enjoy putting on a record, cooking together, sharing a bottle of wine over good conversations after a busy day. Was wondering if any of the rooms still avalible. and if so meet up and go over details. Let me know if you need more details about myself. Thank you. Silan
A full time uni student attending RMIT Fashion school in Brunswick, preferably looking for something long term (6 months - 1 year). I am a laid back and easy going guy with loads of experience living in share houses. I have decent social skills and will comfortably get along with almost everyone. Do like to go out from time to time but not huge on partying, much rather prefer a civilized drink at a pub. Very clean and well kept when it comes to sharing a kitchen and toilet. I respect the privacy of other housemates and expect the same in return :) Move in date would be the start of February 2017.
Hi! I'm Myrina and I'm from Paris. I plan on coming to Melbourne around January 10 with a working holiday visa for a gap year. I'm an organized and respectful person that would like to find some people around my age to share an accommodation. I'm keen on meeting new people and new cultures. I'm a nice and open minded person that enjoy chatting and socializing a lot but that also like spending some time alone like everyone. I like going out a lot, trying new things and discovering new places. I also do like photography and fashion. I plan on staying and working full time in Melbourne for at least 2 months.
I'm a chilled out kiwi. I'm leaving to go back pack around South America in may, hence the need for short term accomodation. I have a full time admin job in property valuation. I have never paid my rent late in my life.
Hi ! I am a 22-years-old-French-student and I will work at the RMIT University for 5 months in aeronautics. I am easy going but also respectful with others. I enjoy sports, sharing dinners and drinks ! As I am very happy to come to Australia, I want to discover this country and ready to visit anything. I currently live in an house shared with 3 mates in France hence I know how it is to live with flatmates.
(Initial note: I am queer and sometimes gender-nonconforming/femme in my presentation and my partner is trans, if this is an issue don't bother messaging me) I am a friendly, tidy, and responsible 22yo social science/teaching student, I'm also finding work over the holidays as I've only recently moved to Melbourne. I am always up for a chat but unintrusive, much of the time I will either be out or studying but I'm open to both independent and more friendly share arrangements if we have similar interests/get along. I am vegetarian and prefer to organise my own food, although I enjoy cooking and don't mind sharing at times. I don't currently have any furniture, however I require very little to be available (just a mattress/bed, if it's a 6+ month lease I can source my own), and can supply my own kitchenware, other than an oven/hotplates. Ideally I'm looking for somewhere with a nice kitchen and a room that fits a double bed. I'm looking for at least a 6 month lease, somewhere longer (up to a year) is no problem either. My move date is pretty flexible.
Easy-going, clean and tidy working professional from Perth making the move to the big smoke for a change of pace. Work in the water/development sector as a consultant, am a freelance writer in my spare time and enjoy stand up paddle boarding and random road trips. I like cooking/baking, am a little obsessed with coconut, make a mean guacamole (perfectly paired with a good pale ale) and am happiest near water. Recently drove across the country from Brisbane to Perth (via Darwin) by myself and love getting outdoors/camping when I can (hiking buddies would be very enthusiastically welcomed). Hoping to find equally laid back housemates who don't mind sharing a meal or a drink :)
Hi there! Student at Monash Uni doing law, and working part time. I'm generally pretty busy, but am pretty social and love talking over a drink/food! Lived on my own for almost 4 years, so am very well trained - clean up after my self, can keep noise to a minimum, and am generally understanding and approachable.
I'm a working holiday visa holder from Shanghai, China. I was a fashion buyer before coming to Austrlia, love fasion, love music, love taking photographs and also free lifestyle. It's great to make more new friends and get to know Australia better during my stay. Hope to share house with you!

I'm nice, neat, organised, easy-going, flexible, friendly etc. Your dream housemate, I imagine? About to start studying a JD at unimelb so looking for housing around that area, preferably with like-minded individuals. I usually enjoy kickboxing, reading, discussing, the arts, accruing onerous amounts cultural capital, being a Christian, dogs, psychology, law-things. I'm not heaps into party houses, looking for something more low key but no shadows passing in the night vibes, let's be for real mates.
I'm an easygoing PhD student at Melbourne Uni, so I spend most of the time in the lab and go to the gym. I respect other's space, time and rest but I'm always open for a chat, cooking together or outdoor activities.
Hey I'm James from the UK. I'll be landing in Melbourne on the 12th of December, and I am available to move into a room immediately. I'm a Hairdresser and I enjoy being around other people, but I'm not a party animal, I'm clean, tidy - you don't have to worry about mess, noise or anything else. If you would like to ask me anything just message me.
I'm 26 years old, have a bachelor degree in Art and Media Management but I'm aspiring a career in coaching crossfit and functional fitness. I live an active life(running, speedrope, gymnastics rings). So while I'm here I want to fully experience Melbourne. I still don't have a job but I'm getting my white card and RSA to kickstart my life over here(gotta start somewhere😉). I have a lot of experience in hospitality as an bartender and I am willing to do every kind of job, except deskjobs(boring and not made for it). I'm open-minded, relax, adventerous and a good with people. What I'll bring to the house: good conversations, good vibes and some good meal prepping skills. I've partied a lot back home(Amsterdam), but my priorities now shifted.
Hey! I'm Doug, I’ve just moved from Adelaide and looking for a place to call home. A tad about myself I work on Gertrude I'm an actor and an affable, young, clean, modern day gentleman. I’m honest, generous and happy to go with the flow. I’m a massive chiller, I like to be tidy and clean and I’m basically just a normal boy next door type of a guy. Don't want to live with more than 3 other people and would prefer 1 or 2. Have shared housed a lot and consider myself a well groomed flatmate.
HI! We are two housemates currently living in a student hostel but are now looking for two separate rooms in a more permanent and homely place. Preferably just outside the city, with independent housemates that also enjoy the occasional communal dinner, good movie, night out or just a casual chat over a glass of wine. Hi i'm Lynn. I'm beginning my third year of architecture next year, I'm really passionate about it and probably talk about it a little too much... I'm originally from the Netherlands and speak Dutch fluently, but I grew up in Australia. In my free time I enjoy; drawing and other artistic pursuits, exploring new bars (and the occasional club) with friends, interesting conversations, drinking coffee at a nice cafes and reading a good book in the botanical gardens. I'm vegetarian and enjoy baking when i have the time. I also love to travel, I’ve seen a lot of Europe and have always wanted to go to South America. Hey, I'm Odessa. I'm about to start my second year of uni, studying visual arts at RMIT. I also work part time for COM doing school crossing supervision/admin work...If you don't know what that is, it's a lollie pop lady haha weird job for an 19 year old I know. I also enjoy playing the ukulele and singing but dw I won't keep anyone awake. I grew up on the Sunshine Coast so I love sun baking and going to the beach when I can.
Hi, I'm Fin. I'm looking for somewhere to live while I study at RMIT. I am a clean and tidy person, I love to attend social events, but also like my privacy as well. To be short, I am all about good vibes and good times.
Hey I'm Ali, I'm from the UK and i've been living and working in London for the past couple of years. I've just touched down in Melbourne and I'm on a working holiday but looking to get settled as quickly as possible. I'm an easy going, sociable guy who's up for a laugh and after one week here I'm loving the brunch, gin and the sun vibe this city has going on... keen to meet some new likeminded people :) Peace.
Hello! Looking to join a sharehouse/flat ASAP with my floofy friend, John. Looking for somewhere Carlton North/Brunswick East area and would like it to be a house where everyone can feel comfortable and hang out together as well as have their own lives and adventures. Would prefer to live with people of a similar age but this isn't compulsory. A BIT ABOUT ME I am 25 and a creative type with an interest in science/technology. I play video games and am mostly vegetarian but cannot sustain due to health reasons. LGBT+friendly, sometimes introverted but love company. I can talk forever about pretty much anything, any philosophical topics on your mind will not go undiscussed! I'm finishing up my photography degree next year and at the moment about to start volunteering for Lort Smith.
Hi! I'm looking for a room to share with my partner Nic. I'm an artist and writer, I just finished studying at the VCA art school and am now working as a freelance artist. Nic is also an artist and performer, currently studying Creative Arts at La Trobe. We love meeting new people, but are overall mellow and easy-going, and importantly reliable. We are able to move in straight away.
