Hi, My partner and I are looking for a 1 bedroom apartment to stay in for a couple of months at the start of September. Preferably Southbank area but we are flexible. It would be absolutely perfect if the flat has a pool and a gym as we've got used to having these in our current place! We are friendly, tidy people and will treat your flat with respect for the duration of our stay. We are not looking for shared accommodation! Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Hi there, My name's Meiling, and I've just returned to Australia after living in multiple countries abroad. I'm now re-discovering places in town - new bars, cafes (love my coffee!), and re-visiting my fav haunts as well. I love catching up with friends over wine or coffee, hiking/ swimming/ practising martial arts and taking language classes. I speak Spanish, French and German in addition to my native English, and always feel like I could more practice! (I'm not the person to practise Mandarin with though). I'm pretty laid-back, respectful with flatmates, and like to feel that the apartment is "homey", where everyone's comfortable. Please note: 1) I'm ideally looking for a place with my own bathroom/ensuite 2) I'm a non-smoker (I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, and cats). 3) I'm not a vegetarian. If you'd like to know more, feel free to ask! Cheers, Meiling
I’m a laid back guy that’s real easy to get along with, and always pulls his weight around the house. Making the transition from Adelaide to Melbourne as I received a job offer there and looking for a place that has good access to the train station. Not too fussed on the type of housing, just can’t be too expensive and I have no problems with pets
Hi I'm Carwyn (British, M, 25). I am are clean responsible and I will be working full time. I enjoy socialising and I already have a few friends dotted around the city but I love any opportunity to meet more people! I work as a programmer/I.T. Support back home but I have been working in Hospitality whilst in Australia. A year away from staring at a computer screen is amazing! In my spare time I like to DJ, Slackline, Play board games and meet new people. I'm looking for a place to live until next March. I also have a friend moving to Melbourne on the 4th of September, So I am willing to look at sharerooms for the both of us, this is not essential but if you are willing to allow me to pay the bond for both of us until he arrives I'm more than willing to come view those rooms also.
Hi! I'm a 24 year old French girl who moved to Melbourne on a work assignment. I work full time in the CBD in finance. I'm easy going and open-minded and used to be around different nationalities (I used to live in Toronto and Boston before going on a new adventure in Australia). When I'm not drowning in Excel spreadsheets, I'm a pretty active person. I love travelling, going out for walks or trying new activities and have been taking dance lessons since I was a kid (and continuing here in Melbourne). However, I do enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine (or 2, or half the bottle) and a nice dinner! (PS: I love cooking/baking).
I’m responsible, considerate and respectful. I will clean up after myself. I value communication and integrity. I’m warm and friendly - can be sociable - but will also respect your space (I’m an introvert). I’m fine with pets. Non-smoker, don’t drink, prefer cosy gatherings to big parties. I’m also a devout Christian. I’m moving from Singapore to Melbourne in 2019 to pursue a teaching qualification at Uni Melbourne. I studied Literature for my Bachelor’s. I enjoy reading, writing, baking, illustration, travelling and connecting with people over brunch/coffee. An afternoon’s ramble with a friend is one of my favourite ways to relax.
I am a yoga teacher from the UK. I am easy going, sociable and always up for an adventure! I have spent time travelling around hawaii, and now I am moving to Australia to hopefully settle down and find a nice community of people.
Hi there! Fashion grad from New Zealand that is bright eyed and bushy tailed! I'm vegetarian and love to cook but not much of a baker unfortunately. Clean, quiet and fully house trained. I generally keep to myself but love a good get together :) I don't drink or smoke nor am I a party animal, more of a massive bookworm actually.. Wanting to stay 6 months first to see if we get along then could decide to stay long term if we do. Hope you hear from you if you think we might get along :)
We are a couple moving from Perth to Melbourne on September 3rd. I work as a chef and will secure a job after I arrive, my partner is a barista. We’ve moved from Perth to experience a life that is more exciting and rich, to travel my country some more, and to have great experiences. Excited to see what Melbourne has to offer!
I’m currently employed by Qantas and have been with the company 9 years and counting. I mainly grew up in New Zealand and have spend the last 4 years in London. If I am not working you will usually find me travelling, that’s not to say I love a lazy day watching Netflix. Animal lover and foodie.
I'm 24 and I'm an Australian born Chinese raised in Brisbane, Queensland. I've relocated to Melbourne for work as an IT consultant so ideally I would love to live within close proximity to the city. A lot of my friends and colleagues describe me as quirky, a bit nerdy, and a bit weird (in a good way). I love binge watching netflix shows (like Rick and Morty, Brooklyn Nine Nine and some Anime), eating out, going to the arcade bars and playing some board games in my spare time. I'm a bit of a home body but also an outdoorsy person. I believe home should be my quiet and down-time sanctuary. But I also love going for cycles, hikes, checking out some quirky bars, eating out whilst stalking cute dogs at the cafes/dog parks. As for what I'm like as a housemate - I always clean up after myself and I'm really considerate of my roommates own space but always down to have dinner and chill out together. I'm really easy going, organised, reliable, down to earth and really respect people's own personal space. Would really love to find a place to stay long term. I have my own bedroom furniture, so not really requiring a furnished bedroom.
A human.Being. I’m a creature of contradictions—An athletic bookworm, a night owl who’s an early riser, and an active guy who loves to be lazy on Sunday mornings. Currently, I’m looking for great housemates, a bed, working WI-FI and a roof over my head (walls would be nice too) till I find my own apartment in Melbourne. • I am very clean but not obsessive about it; I tidy after myself • I don’t watch much TV other than rugby and classic movies • I enjoy discovering recipes and I’m always interested in learning new things whether it’s history, docies, the guitar or heading downtown to check out a band I’ve probably never heard of—the weirder the better. Let me know if I can crash at yours or just give me some tips on some great recipes.
Hey there guys, I´m a young man from Mexico that came to Melbourne to meet people and have a great experience. I´m currently studying at APC, working part time and I spend most of my time outside admiring the city. Being clean and respectful are my key strengths and I also love sharing a beer has a hobby and making people laugh.
I’m usually at work or getting knock-off drinks at work so I’m not around very much. But when I am, I can make you feel better about yourself because I don’t have my life together at all. Im a neat person, I have lots of plants and cats that we can all benefit from. I make a few jokes here and there. Please house me
Hi guys, my name's Greg, and I'm an American journalist. I visited Melbourne in April and fell in love, so I'm moving from Brooklyn to Melbourne this September to work for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. I've had roommates since college, so I'm clean, but also pretty relaxed about things. I like to go out and socialize on the weekends with friends, and sometimes during the week if I'm up for it. Every now and then I'll travel for work or to see a bit more of the country, and I'll be in Melbourne for at least a year.
I am a student at the University of Melbourne and am working part-time at an analytics firm as a marketing strategist. I am a quiet, non-intrusive person, though I wouldn't mind catching up for a cup of tea every few days. I enjoy cooking and prefer eating at home. If you're around, you're in for a treat. I also love love love dogs.
Hello there! We are a young couple from Spain. We have recently graduated in Biomedical Engineering by the University of Barcelona and we will go to Melbourne on October on a Working Holiday Visa. Our plan is to work there for 6 months and then travel a little bit around Australia and hopefully other countries! We would like to live in a small studio by ourselves or have our room in a shared property. We love a good pint at the pub, chill time at home (watching soccer and Netflix movies/shows), doing sports, etc. We are super friendly and respectful. We have both shared flats before with other individuals and we have never had a problem. We are after housemates we can be friends and socialise with, but who are also clean and respectful of the shared areas. Also, we are both fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English but would love to share the house with some English-speaking friends so we can practice the language! Olivia and Miguel
