There will be 3 adults and 1 toddler in our group so we are hoping to get a house to ourselves. The 2 in our group are future students of Melbourne Uni while still being employed so we have readily available funds for rent and other expenses. All of us are chill, responsible and easy going--yes, even toddler Khaila :)
Hi! Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way first: I'm moving from Sydney to find a place to call home long-term in Melbourne, the best city in the country. Leaning towards unfurnished but it’s not a dealbreaker, a backyard, good shower pressure, walkable to a train/tram stop and a dryer are happy bonuses but not requirements, decent internet is a must, I’m LGBTQI+ friendly, I LOVE cats, I ride a motorcycle so parking isn’t an issue, and I am not a fan of spiders or bugs. Now onto the important stuff: I’m taking control of my life and moving to a city I love to pursue a new career in scriptwriting. I was a VR and game developer and i’ll be doing that freelance from time to time. I travel a lot, I can cook (and intend to subscribe to HelloFresh again when I move in, which means i’m down to cook for the house a few times a week), I’ll be auditioning like mad to every amateur theatre group within convenient distance, I’ve always got one song or another stuck in my head, I'm learning the synth and I’m volunteering for the Lifeline suicide prevention hotline. I won't have a full time job when I get move in but I do have a modest trust fund, so I'll never miss a rent or bill payment and I’ll be getting a part time job once i’m settled in. I've lived in share houses before so I know the drill, regular cleaning and respect for common areas and not eating other peoples food and all that. I also come with all sorts of handy house stuff like a big TV, microwave and kitchen stuff if we need it, otherwise I’ll sell it. Oh yeah, and a room-scale VR headset you can play with :D And here’s the biggest thing: This is probably gonna sound odd, but I've come to Melbourne to look for a home with an atmosphere that fosters creativity. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's full of painters and musicians and the like (although that'd be awesome), it means I'm looking for a certain vibe of collaboration or camaraderie, a home rather than a house. I reckon that's more important than details like whether or not there's a dryer or distance to public transport, who you live with is more important than where you live. If any of that resonates with you and your housemates, I’m available for viewings whenever! Thanks for reading all that Adam
Hi everyone, I'm Adam - Born and bred Melbournian, I've mostly lived around the St Kilda area, except when I have been travelling (36 countries) or living overseas. I'm looking for friendly housemates, a drug free home with a room of a decent size, or a team-up with someone not needing a car space. I run a small digital marketing business focusing on photography, video and solutions for local businesses. I've just leased an office in a co-working space in Port Melbourne. St Kilda Sea Baths will be where I spend a chunk of time, to swim, do yoga and pilates. Also enjoy wasting time catching up on my favourite TV shows most evenings, going to meetups or going out to see friends/family. I'm straight, single and dating - I won't be living like a monk, but I am respectful of noise. I won't bring the party home. I have some adequate cooking skills, and great food delivery ordering skills. Enjoy a beer or wine in the evening and having a chat about life, sport, politics, health - you name it. I have a setup which is better than Netflix, pretty much any TV show or Movie you could ever want, in HD is a few clicks away. I need a hassle-free parking situation whether on street untimed/permit or off-street. Happy to share or pay extra for my own bathroom, split-type air-con for hot Melbourne summers and NBN would be nice too. I'm well trained, but if we can afford a cleaner every fortnight, I have a russian lady my family uses who does a good job. If starting a new household (team-up), I can bring two nice couches, coffee table, TV, Speakers and a full suite of kitchen stuff, small dining table and chairs - just need a fridge, microwave and washing machine/dryer. If it's just in unfurnished bedroom, then I will just bring bedroom stuff. I'm looking for large older style 2 bedrooms in Elwood/St Kilda/Middle Park, or nicer more pricey places around South Melbourne/Southbank/St Kilda Rd, you can see the other suburbs that suit me on my profile. Cheers! Rental History: 5 years renting a 1BR at 62/3 Alfred Square, St Kilda 2 years renting with a friend at 10/78 Queens Rd, Melbourne 3004 3 years renting with housemates in Hawthorn when I studied at Swinburne (I was primary on the lease)
Hi there! My name is Amelia, I'm 29 years old and work full time at a consultancy. Tidy and easy going, I'm looking to live with like minded people. My interests include art, design and travel. As a flat mate I'm considerate, outgoing and also like a peaceful environment. Look forward to hearing from you! Cheers, Amelia
I'm a 25 yo female working in advertising. I just made the jump to move down from Sydney and looking for somewhere to live, ideally in St Kilda close to my work. Flexible at looking at different options. I am chatty and personable, but also like my own time. I am an early riser, as I find exercising is the best way to start my day. Tidy and respectful housemate who loves to have a laugh. Looking for someone who is friendly and happy to have a glass of wine every now and then.
Working full time in the automotive industry. Respectful, tidy and mostly quiet professional, but also happy to be social rather than just hide away. Would need an off-street parking space, preferably secure, for a car and potentially motorbike as well.
Hi potential roomie! I’m very easy going and can hold a conversation with you am, I love having a happy peaceful to come home to I love cooking dinner and healthy meal plans and regular excercise I have a puppy, she’s a French bulldog called Cocoa!! Look forward to hearing from you :)
Finished my engineering degree from RMIT and going to study MBA in July after a few years while working part time. I’m a respectful person and love to share my meals and a glass of wine when I am home. Looking for a place that I can call home rather than living in a place.
Organised, laid back, and tidy. Home cooked meals and regular exercise are important to me. I’m currently working part-time and studying full-time. I come with a cute little chihuahua/ jack russell (boy). I'll always contribute to grocery shopping and to any repairs that need to be done around the house. I can also contribute the following to any household I join: - large dining table - medium sized silver shag rug - crockeries & cutleries - small coffee table - medium size mirror - large vintage chair - (idk how else to describe it) *Preferably an unfurnished room as I have my own stuff* Being near a tram/train stop is vital for my work commitments. I love having friends over and doing some occasional gathering (would seek your opinion first tho ofc). However, I respect your alone time and your own space as well as tidying up after myself, and generally expect the same from you. Love watching tv shows and would make you watch horror movies with me. Definetly will treat you as a friend rather than a housemate. I'm very interested in teaming up with a group of people or joining an existing household, but NO COUPLES pls and preferably people under 33.
Hellooooooo guys! I'm Thomas, a 28 year old working holiday maker from the Netherlands. I arrived in Oz about 8 months ago, but I love it so much here that I'm going to extend my visa with another year. Obviously, Melbourne is the place to be hence I'd like to absorb all the good vibes this city has to offer! I'm looking for a place that feels like home with a bunch of friendly outgoing people, though I'm not looking for a party house. Are you looking for a spontaneous, funny guy to join your 'family'? Look no further and send me a message! Cheers
Hi I’m Emily. I’m an executive assistant and work Mon-Fri full time with the Cotton On Group.... yes you can use my discount :) My job is located in geelong. I’m a social person but do enjoy my own company and space at times. I love going out for dinner/drinks, road trips, reading, fashion, interior decorating, listening to music or finding a good tv series to watch. I’m not looking for a party house and would like housemates who like to socialise at times and have an understanding of house cleanliness and tidying up after themselves. Hope to hear from you :) ...
Hello My name’s Alex. I work in health and social equity, my last job was on the close the gap campaign. I’ve just returned from a 6 month trip across Central America learning Spanish, hiking around, and living the Latin life. I’ve sharehoused all my life, very adaptable and can live with all types. I’m socialable and prefer to go to the pub with mates rather than nightclubs. I keep things clean and tidy, and very conscientious of other people’s space and things. I like to cook, but I eat out just as often, and I keep pretty fit and healthy.
I’m neat, intelligent, respectful, busy, focused on my career, sport lover, healthy lifestyle, fashion lover, enjoying nice people around, happy to have a glass of wine and light chat together, love reading, being by myself or hangout with friends, traveller and food explorer I’m super busy at work 5 days a week full time
I am an orderly and organised person. Very respectful. I have a vivacious personality and love to laugh. I am Italian and am very interested in exploring Australia and other cultures. I am very aware of Others around me and am good at sharing.
I have recently moved back to melbourne and am looking to find some house mates that could become really good friends. I have a full time job so will be out of the house a lot but love to socialise in the evening and have a beer or 3. I love running and going to the gym.
Hey! I’m a Mexican girl (22 years old) who’s doing a Marketing internship in Melbourne starting this July! I lived in England for a year, sharing a flat with 5 other people, so I’m really used to sharing a place to live. I am a clean, organised, and nice girl who loves going out with friends at night, but also loves staying home and watching Netflix.
I am an outgoing and charismatic person who has no issue getting along with anyone I will go out of my way to help others and enjoy having fun and making friends and I like to keep things minimal meaning no mess or I'll clean up after myself. I am currently working full time in Port Melbourne.
