Moving from London to Melbourne for the longhaul. We need a short term double room whilst we look for a longer term flat. Easy going, clean!
Greetings :) We are a young professional same-sex couple seeking a teamup for a roomy shared townhouse (or such) in Melbourne, Carlton/ Carlton North or inner East/ North Melbourne. We are both comfortable, clean, easy-going, and love good chats and a bit of fun every now and then but also really value some down-time and rest after a long day of work. We currently live in a cosy apartment in South Yarra, our lease is ending on the 15th of May and we wish to secure a place by early-mid April at the latest. What kind of home we are looking to share: Our main goals with our new home is to reduce the amount of rent we are paying currently and have a bigger home with a roomy backyard and living area. We are looking to team up with 2 other people (don't mind couples) for a 3 bedroom house/ townhouse. Our main requirements are a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (preferably ensuites), a backyard, for the location to be within 10-20km of Melbourne CBD, divided rent up to $600 pcm (exc bills). We have an adorable fluffy feline son named Wilbur who is about 6.5 years old, he is a very calm and well-natured cat. His only activities include intermittently switching from deep sleeping, intense eating and purry snuggling. He is incredibly comfortable and loving with new people, clean, and very self-sufficient. He does occasionally want to play and have a bit of a run around but his most loved activity is curling up to sleep. A little bit about us: We both have full-time 9-5 jobs during the week and prefer quiet evenings during the week, occasionally having dinners with friends every now and then but that is the most we do on weeknights - reserving most of our going out/ socializing and such to weekends. We have a good small bunch of close friends who we love seeing as often as time and energy permits. We love a bit of a boogie once or twice a month whether it be in the form of a cosy little house party or a 5 day doof out in the bush. Despite this, we aren't huge party animals and strongly value a good work, rest, play balance. As housemates, we love cleanliness but also understand that with full-time work and a busy lifestyle sometimes a pristine, perfect home is not always achievable. This is absolutely okay with us but we would always ensure that a thorough clean-up is done at least once a week. We also love a friendly environment at home, having a chat over a smoke, tea or wine once in a while but some nights we just want to retreat into the couch or our bedroom and sleep or binge watch Netflix or documentaries. We also love plants, candles, incense, art, all kinds of music and prefer eating a predominantly cruelty-free, vegan diet. What we are looking for in housemates: - a reliable, honest and compassionate person - transparency and trust-worthiness - MUST be LGBTIQ+ friendly and aware - relatively clean and cat friendly - easy-going, open-minded, well read and responsible - someone who matches similarly to our profile, has a sound work, rest, play balance What we don't want in housemates: - excessive drinking, partying, etc - expectations to socialize all the time - cat allergies/ dislike If this sounds like you or we sound like people you would see yourself living with - hit us up with a little bit about yourself, include your favorite film or song and why you love it. Happy house hunting x
Hi! I'm super easy-going, tidy and very clean, and financially reliable. I'm a paramedic, so you won't have to suffer my company too often with all the shift work :P I like to keep healthy and fit (housemates are welcome to join in for workouts! Haha) and I love to cook. I play jazz trumpet and I do occasional painting. I'm outdoorsy - enjoy regular camping and hiking. I do have two mostly indoor Bengal cats (both~2yo, and hypo-allergenic) who are freaking adorable. I would ideally prefer to live with other cat-lovers, it makes life much easier. Please know I am a very responsible pet owner, but the occasional help of cat-feeding would be appreciated what with night shifts etc. I'd love to be able to make a friend out of my prospective housemate(s), but I understand everyone needs their space of course. That's me :)
Hey there! My name's Maria, I come from Spain and I'm 28. I'm starting a PhD at the Doherty Institute here in Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live. I'll be working full-time during weekdays and I'll probably have to work at home, but I enjoy chatting while drinking some wine or beer in my free time, watching netflix, reading... I enjoy some time alone as well, but I'm overall a social, joyful and positive person who likes spending time with her mates. I'm a quite active person, I love doing sport and attending to dance classes and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I'm also very tidy and respectful. Just message me if I sound like someone you'd like as a mate and hopefully friend and confident!:))
Hey guys and gals I work in the health and fitness industry, currently working in the city as a sports rehab specialist/trainer. I work early mornings so i'm not looking for a party house but i'm down for a good night out in the weekends on occasion, enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle :). I'm chilled, relaxed in nature and enjoy good company and conversation, I am originally from New Zealand and have been living in Melbourne for 5 years ;) I love the arts and all Melbourne has to offer. I am out and about a lot of the time with friends and work so I won't be at home all the time, I respect other peoples space :) P.S You would also need to be LGBT friendly send me a message if you want to be roomies :) x JC
Hey my name is Shannon, and my sister and I are planning on moving to Melbourne to live in May. We will be unemployed when we first arrive.. but will be both looking for full time jobs straight away. We are both so much fun to live with and very friendly..
Very social guy, very active, I'm out of the house at a minimum 730-630, Monday - Friday, and I often travel on weekends. Like to keep the common areas nice and clean, but not a neat freak. I work in recruitment so I could always provide advice and help your friends. I can also help you move large furniture! Enjoy a good drink at night, could potentially cook meals with you and or eat meals with you! Also more than happy to be friends with my roommate, take trips together, etc...or keep it arms length if you prefer. I will probably have occasional friends over, hope you're cool with that! No crazy open house parties or anything though! PS I am American if that helps (or hurts?) haha looking forward to move soon.
I'm a qualified pastry chef and work full time so I'm not home much as my hours can be quite long some days. My boyfriend is new to Melbourne as he is moving here for work opportunities in plumbing as a 3rd year apprentice. We are pretty chilled out people. We both have cars so we need somewhere to be able to park. I enjoy cooking or just relaxing on my days off. We're both early 20's but we're not big party people more so just casual drinks and smoke. We're clean and tidy people and will be respectful of common areas and cleaning up after ourselves. I work in the city so I just need somewhere nearby a train station. Looking for a place at a reasonable price I'm open to living in any suburbs as long as they aren't too far from the city. Rent will be paid on time every time not a problem but I prefer to buy my own food snacks etc rather than share everything especially because I'm vego ha. If price of bills is not included in rent can you please advise me how much they will cost or an estimate. Looking for something long term like a year or 2 if things work out in Melbourne. We have our own furniture for our bedroom so we don't really need any of that. Need a room big enough for queen size bed. Look forward to hearing from y'all.
Hey. Isabelle is from Europe and she is working full time in the city - Southbank, Salvy is an artist and working pretty much full time as well, he just finished uni. We both are clean, respectful, friendly and easy going. We are up for a chill night with flatmates, but sometimes we want some quiet time as well. We are looking for a house or apartment with 2 rooms, for each of us one room :)
So long as my flatmates are respectful, do their fair share chores I am happy to live with anyone. I like getting out of the city, walks/hikes, scuba diving, camping, adventures etc. I am definitely have a work-to-live mentality and I treasure my weekends. I also like going out for the odd drink/night out dancing with the girls. My wishlist for a house includes genuine roommates, an indoor toilet (I know this from experience), and a gas stove top (ideal but not necessary). Other than that I'm pretty relaxed.
Hey lovelies We are a couple Rochelle (25, Scotland) and Sina (23, German) who have been living in Melbourne for 2 years, both on long term visas. Rochelle works for a training organisation helping disadvantaged/disabled students back into the workforce and Sina is a student of diploma in community services so here for the next few years and looking for a settled place to call home. We both love beer, festivals, beach house and bonobo. We have other loves too but keeping it short and sweet:) Both very clean, tidy and respectful, done the house share thang for decades and a tidy house = tidy mind. 420 friendly and of course queer friendly. Both believers in generosity with sharing treats and wine with fellow housies 🙏. Kindest of the kind regards, R and S x

I am looking for a place to share where housemates have respect for each other's boundaries & personal lives & communicate with each other in a courteous & respectful manner, & its a FAIR & equitable home environment, yet warm & kind household, with ensuite or seperate bathroom or granny flat, in quiet and clean surrounds. I am fun to be with, sociable yet like the quietness in the household. Not a party animal. My adorable cavoodle is very clean, very friendly, & quiet & very well behaved & professionally house-trained and is the ideal household pet. Independent, clean and tidy and respectful of other peoples boundaries and expect the same from others.Friendly, love to cook, have a glass of wine occassionally. In my free time, I go jogging and help with various charities.
I manage a bar in St Kilda thursday, friday, saturday nights and all day sunday so whoever I move in with you either get a cool place to drink my tab away or you get plenty of peace and quiet while I work. Music preferences say alot about someone and my choice of music honestly is pretty open. I enjoy attempting to sing & most of all I enjoy prestending I'm a superstar Bedroom DJ...meaning I have heaps of different genres in my collection. But If I had to choose my favorite music is based on electronic like house/deep house/tech house but that doesnt mean I dont enjoy some hippity hop or even rocking & roll.
G’day flat-hunters, I’ve been living in Melbourne for about 3 years now. I am a 3rd year Accounting student at Deakin Uni and I also work as an accounts admin for a business. Usually during the weekdays, I am really busy with uni, work, cooking and gym. But, on weekends I enjoy going for a run, go-out to a good restaurant for a feed or simply having a cheeky bev or five with friends. As a flatmate, I am very easy going with minor neat-freak issues. I come with all the essentials for the house from a 4K TV to a fridge, washing machine, music system and everything in between, so you just need to bring yourself, a bed and good vibes. Also, I want to live in a new and modern apartment/house with good views, preferably around Chapel Street or St. Kilda. Feel free to msg me. Jack
Hi there, I'm 25 Polish girl looking to change the location soon. I'm working full time in hospitlity, back in Poland I've been completing my studies in economics and working little bit in profession. I found it quite boring though and that's why I ended up here in Melbourne for some time eventually. I believe I'm pretty laid back, easy to get along with, definitely not intrusive. I'm into good book, music - I'll be learning to play piano soon (not at home:) ). All in all I'm quite active, not occupying my room too often. Would like to land in a house with a good vibe to feel little bit like home.Flexible with rent duration, but 3 months is a minimum stay. The only condition is more or less convenient location with public transport going straight to the city in the nearby. Pm me if it feels like we might get along well! Cheers :)
Looking to move out with few people, or in with them. Would really like to living with my housemates and get along. Im a social person who wants to hang out.
Hey everybody, I'm Alex, 24 years old and from Frankfurt/Germany. I'm studying molecular medicine in my master's and coming to Melbourne for an internship. I've shared flats every since and I'm very open minded and like to laugh. It would be great to meet interesting people and see Melbourne. About me: I like doing stuff e.g. Sports (I love football), running, tennis, basically everything but also, I like to hang around in parks with people or enjoy an ice-cold beer (as we say in Germany: "ein kühles blondes") and a bit of acoustic guitar. Basically, I'm really easy to live with! Cheers, Alex
