Hi, I am a freelancer in the AV industry (think lights sound and video stuff), recently returned to Australia after living overseas (a bit of a habit with me) and am considering Brisbane for my latest home. I am easy going, a passable cook, quiet but friendly and very respectful of others. Currently I am just looking for a short term stay - roughly 3 weeks while I get a feel for Brisbane before deciding whether to move here full time. I have a wedding to attend in Sydney in march, hence the short stay.
I'm pretty clean tidy and easygoing, respect the others.no bad hobby.usually do some sports like swimming, yoga, cycling, badminton, pingpong hiphop in my spare life.
Hey I am Chris from Berlin so an international Student who just arrive in Brisbane. I am starting my study at UQ and I am looking for an accommodation for the next 9 month. I've been told I am a friendly and calm person but not a hermit :) I am clean an tidy and a more mature person who loves to explore new things an make some new experiences. So have one or more flatmates around me who are have basically the same mind, let's get in touch :) I am looking forward. Chris
I'm an international student from Dubai and I will be studying Environmental Management at UQ from Semester 1. I was studying in the US at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. So yes, it's a big change! I'm super easy and fun to live with. Am extremely neat and tidy, and love to keep my living space clean. Pretty decent at cooking too. I'm always ready to help a friend out. Will respect your privacy and space, as I would also like to get focused and study. Doesn't mean I don't like to hang out and watch a movie or binge watch a tv show. I enjoy playing a lot of sports especially badminton, football, Quidditch (yes it's a sport and it's very intense) and cricket. Love exploring new places am ready to hike/walk any-and-everywhere. I'll be new to the place so I would love to go out and explore on the weekends, provided I have the time. Would love to live or team up with any of you wonderful people so do not hesitate to hit me up! :D Cheers, Abhi PS - The $250 p/w is my budget including utilities!
Like meeting new people and socialising - having a drink on the weekends and going out. Passionate about basketball, poker, gym and travel. Biomedical student at UQ. Own a couple businesses including Pure Alchemy Records, Allure modelling and Quantum Shift Academy.
Hello, I am Nabila, a 21 year-old undergraduate student at UQ. I'm looking for an ensuite room in Saint Lucia that I can move into this week, between February 23rd - 25th. I am a tidy and considerate housemate, and my previous experience sharing an apartment with a stranger went really well. I clean up well, cook daily, and enjoy conversing/watching movies/reading books with a cup of coffee or tea. My hometown is Jakarta, Indonesia, but I've studied abroad a few times before and I'm always looking forward to meeting people from all walks of life. Sharing a place with new people would be a great way to spend the rest of my college life!
I’m a med PhD/ neuroscientist recently back from the states for a sabbatical. I’m House trained and clean but not at all anal. I read a lot though I'm not a homebody, I work normal hours in an incubator space. I love to hang out, cook (once a souse chef), philosophize over a glass of wine and have a bit of fun preferably with, empathic, humble, self-aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m pretty chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. I’m a scientist but still very much a people person and like to think I’m more thoughtful than reactive. If I’m what you’re looking for, give me a yell, it'd be cool to hear more about you guys and see the place. Troy
Hello!! I'm Eliza, I'm 21 years old. I'll pretty well say what everyone else does, but it is true. I am a super respectful and tidy person (no really, I'll do your dishes if you leave them out but I don't mind). I'm a very sarcastic person and most of the time I'm laughing. I work full time in Indooroopilly, and I would like to be within a fifteen minute drive to work. My current 45 minute+ commute is literally driving me nuts. Pun intended. I would genuinely like to hang with my 'roomies' - however I do like my own time as well. I'm not too much of a partier, so if it's a party household then we won't suit. My max budget is $250 p/w including bills. I can move late April, however that can be moved forward a little. I would like more of a long term lease as well. This will be my first time moving out but I'm very independent so there won't be any dramas. Please feel free to message me if my little novel above didn't cover anything. :)
Hey I'm Lorrin. I just graduated high school and have moved to Brisbane for uni (UQ). I have a limited lease at the moment so I'm looking for a more permanent address. I'm pretty easy-going and a little goofy, I keep to myself but I'm sociable and get along with pretty much anybody. I can take care of myself; cleaning, washing, household duties which is pretty good for someone in my generation. I am respectful and appreciate respect in return. I'm down with fun and games and can have a good time. Even though I'm out of work, I will be looking for a job in Brisbane ASAP, that being said I can still afford 150-170$/week. I'm super keen to live in Brisbane permanently and hope I can find some good people.
Hey Our names are Caiti and Fergus. We hail from sunny Scotland and having recently graduated from university, we are in Brisbane, both working full/pat- time jobs in hospitality. We are easy-going, sociable people keen to explore Brisbane and get to know what it has to offer. We are both outgoing and outdoorsy would love to get to know the city's culture, food and nightlife. We are house trained, can keep a flat clean and tidy and we both cook reasonably well (not exclusively haggis). Beyond this, our combined hobbies include- but are not limited to: tennis, fashion, food, art, music, soccer, politics. We love animals and can coexist with them amicably. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Looking forward to hearing from you! Caiti and Fergus
I'm a fun, considerate, social, easy going and tidy girl from Norway who is taking a semester abroad at UQ form my school in the U.S. During my stay in Brisbane I want to explore as much as possible, get to know fun people, drink and eat good food while still do good in school and relax. Also, I love to cook so you'll get a free chef by teaming up with me:) I'll arrive in Brisbane on February 15th and will dedicate all of my time before school starts to find fun roommates and a decent place to live (and have a few drinks). A few of the things I'm really into is music, make-up, going to the beach, clubbing, work out and binge watch tv shows. I'm open to teaming up with both boys and girls, but would prefer my own room and max 4 roommates. I absolutely love to travel and I'm not afraid to explore new places and do things I've never done before. Even though I'm social and enjoy going out I don't want to live in a partyhouse. Please don't be shy and if you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a message!
Dreaming of hangs on the porch couch with my future roomies looking out at our pet chickens and veggie patch attempts. I am a friendly, easy-going and respectful gal. Looking for a home rather than a house. Maybe a few housemate dinners and bants here and there. Would love to contribute to a tidy, good vibes place Beginning an Arts degree at UQ this year after several years of working for The Man and gallivanting across the globe. You will generally find me drawing hearts on coffees at QUT. I appreciate the joys of a Zooper Dooper on a Sunday, market friend dates and a good Indian curry. Note - I own more cushions than furniture. I believe the more house plants the better. Food is life. Feel free to message if you have any more questions!
My name is Annie and I am studying Secondary Teaching. On the side I am a Disability Support Worker, so when I am at home I like to keep myself sane by doing as much fun shit as I can. My interests include music, art, finding new bars and restaurants, fashion, and anything else you can throw at me (very easily entertained). I am extremely easy going, I am a great cook and I am tidy. I'm wanting to live with some fun, drama-free, people that can respect that I need a face-mask and netflix day from time to time . I am after somewhere preferably with air conditioning that everyone is cool with using, but this isn't a big deal. Send me a message if you think I am the one and I can tell you more about myself :)
I'm looking for a place somewhere close to central Brisbane. I'm a fun outgoing full-time and worker who's looking for someone to share an apartment or house with. Looking for something thats around 6 months to a 1 year lease. Let me know what you've got!
Hi Everyone! I am actually viewing this awesome town house on 173 sir fred schonell drive st lucia on friday 24th and looking for someone to apply for a 6 month lease with me if the property is nice. Google for the listing :) Im 32, have 2 part time jobs and study psych at UQ. Im pretty busy with my schedule, always up for a chat but i keep to my self a lot in my downtime so the house will be pretty quiet and I may not be around all the time Happy for a couple (will have to pay more than half) or another female. If you have furniture thats a plus :)
Aww, what? Writing about myself? Dammit. ok, ok I'm a guy from America who has been in Australia for over 12 years. I have Russian heritage and like to clean my own dishes just after using them. I finished my electrical apprenticeship about 10 months ago , and moved to Brisbane soon after when I fell in love with Zouk partner dancing. I've stayed in the one house the entire time I've been in Brisbane so far. I like meeting people and talking to them. Also having fun and making them laugh ;) My girlfriend stays with me month on, month off and loves attending zouk events. She is learning Russian with me, but she's also working on German while finishing studies.
I'm friendly and like to have a lot of fun but also respectful of privacy and study needs. I like to go to the beach, see live music, eat food and chill out. Looking for somewhere with chill vibes and housemates that can become new friends :-)
My name is Stephen, am a +50 yo. currently working in Brisbane, relocated up here for employment (am a Melbournian). Currently married, nontheless my wife and three children are still living in Melbourne, I commute seeing them every 3rd weekend or so. My wife also does fly up to Brisbane and stays with me from time to time. I am a General Manager for a transport company which involves me traveling regularly overseas and within Australia. I do work longer hours and am a reasonable earlier riser. Have the need to move from my current residence as the property was sold and looking for another place to reside. I am a clean and tidy person, respectful of other people's property and space. Am easy going and am told I'm a pretty good cook. Enjoy clay target shooting every other weekend, plus the occasional golf game. Like the odd quiet time chilling out watching TV or a movie or spending a Saturday or Sunday afternoon cooking up a storm for those I share with. I do enjoy a chat over a beverage and sharing a laugh. No problem with cleaning as required, doing my share, in fact I like tidy and clean living spaces. Preference of a residence to live in, is a larger apartment or a house with my own bathroom, plus off street parking is needed. Looking at a 6-12 month tenure, male or female sharing is fine by me, preferred move in date after March 10, can be earlier or later. Also if needed references can be provided from my current flat mate or the real estate agent I rented a property from here in Brisbane. Happy to meet and chat with any prospective flat mate. Thanks Stephen
I'm Jack, 20 years old and moving back to Brisbane from Melbourne. I study biomedical science (3rd year) at QUT and am looking for a houseshare for the year. I'm easy going, keen to socialise and keep a clean house. Not looking for a party house but always keen for a few drinks and a chat. Looking to move ASAP with a budget of $200 Pw including bills. Hit me up with any questions!
I am an internation student from Thailand that loves to cook and enjoy having a chat occasionally. I am doing my honors and continuing with masters in UQ thus at times I will be extremely busy studying full time. I would enjoy having some time on the weekends to cook a meal for everyone in the flat to share that is if my cooking is acceptable to everyone in the flat. I do not smoke or drink any form of alcohol but willing to drink a few beer if for socializing.
Hey Im a 30 year old professional female from Melbourne. I am moving to Bris to begin studying for my career change and looking for a 'home' to live in (cliche but true). I want to share a house with people who are up for a wine, dinner, chats etc. I have shared plenty of homes and spent a fair but of time time Bris over the last four years, so have a small social network already. I am pretty easy going and enjoy the company of most people. I like to be social, but anticipate i will be pretty busy next year with studies, placements and working. Would love to chat further if i sound like someone that could fill your room! Cheers Meg - worth mentioning, i am looking for a room that is reasonably large so i can fit a desk etc in there.
I am a first year UQ student from Tokyo studying business. I'm pretty easygoing, friendly and nature-loving. Preferably a place with small pool would be nice. * if you could offer a room for a couple, I could stay for more than a year. However, this is not necessary at the moment as my Canadian partner is moving here in May.
Single tidy mature male - I've spent most of my life in Brisbane and know it extremely well. I'm pretty much over my partying days and would prefer to be outdoors, climbing a mountain, going to the beach etc. I don't mind if people smoke so long as it's outside and not right near my window etc. Don't mind parties so long as everyone's privacy/rooms are respected. I work Monday to Friday around 8-5 and then I go to the Gym everyday and try and keep myself busy over the weekend, including family commitments such as visiting my grandparents. I am conscious about power and water etc and I don't like to leave computers/appliances etc on to save on bills. I like to keep everything neat and tidy to avoid large clean ups etc. Anything else, feel free to ask me.
Super chill and considerate. Love cooking. Not much bothers me. The most important thing is that I can get along with my house mates. I don't want to feel uncomfortable at home. I want to be able to hang out with my flatmates, though I do have a very busy schedule. I get along with most people, so long as they're not spiteful and take pleasure in putting others done to make themselves feel better. Love and peace and all that <3
Hi, I'm James from Annerley. My lease expires in a few weeks, and with university rapidly approaching, I'm looking for a new sharehouse. For my degree, I study I.R and French at St. Lucia, so it'd be advantageous to live with French speakers. My partner also lives in Annerley, which limits me to homes located south of the C.B.D/river. I'd like to live with mature people in their 20's or 30's with an appreciation for cleanliness, tidiness, organisation, and cooking. A cleaning roster isn't a must, but housemates should be proactive in their approach to housework and topping up ice-cube trays.. I enjoy British comedy, French films, running and gym, reading and drinking. Thanks, James.
I am very quite and easy to get along person. Highly professional and have great love for sports such as cricket and football.I will be studying full time.Reliable in paying bills.I am a International student studying Master of professional Accounting from Charles Sturt University.New in Brisbane, looking forward to making new friends and enjoy the cultural Diversity in this wonderfull city.

Kerry is an avid rockclimber, you'll find him at Urban Climb or Kangaroo Point! Triple J is his favourite radio station, and he loves to head to festivals in his spare time! Melody is an animal enthusiast - squealing at the sight of puppies is not uncommon for her. Yoga, iced lattes and 90210 are some of her favourite things! Planning a trip to New York, again, soon! Hey Mate, I´m 22 year old architecture student from Munich and stay here for at least 2 Semesters (10 Month) at The University of Queensland. I am looking for any kind of living together to get in quick contact to others. I would describe my self as a tidy and very open minded roommate. I really like to cook, also for more person ;-) I try to balance between going out and sports, hope it works. Would be fucking awesome if i get some feedback. Cheers, Toby
Easy going, tidy person looking for a room and some new people to share with while studying at UQ and casual work. Good with cleaning up after myself and paying rent/bills on time. Looking to move in the second half of February.
Hey everybody I'm kaveisha a student from Malaysia whom is going to start in UQ this week. I am really in need of a room now as I will be starting soon and haven't gotten a place yet. I am a very jovial person and love meeting new people from different countries but I also do respect others privacy and give each others space.
I am a yoga teacher, looking for a quiet and easy going household to stay with. Not a party animal but definitely enjoy mingling with others. I am also looking for any place within the 2 zone of the Brisbane CBD. My ideal place would have a fully furnished room & covered or off-street parking if possible.
Studying at Griffith full time and working part time. Moving up from sydney so wouldn't mind a fairly social share house but respectful of boundaries...
Hey, I'm a German student studying at the UQ until June. I'm looking for a furnished room, preferably in St Lucia. I'm super easy, tidy and will respect you privacy and space. I would like to meet a lots of new people and go out, but also have time to focus on my studies. During the holidays I would like to visit some great places, so there will just be my luggage in the room. I love doing sports, especially tennis and football. And I am really keen on learning to surf. Cheers, Nico
I am studying Information Technology full time at UQ. I am incredibly clean and enjoy cooking or sharing a drink. Ideally I would like to share with one other person and have my own bathroom.
Hey people, I'm going to spend the next Semester at the UQ. I am 23, studying math in Munich and I am more or less done with my Masters. Therefore I'm just going to take some courses in which I'm interested in and continue to write on my thesis. I guess I am a comfortable person to live with - until now I just had great experiences with sharing a flat. I lived together with brazilians, germans, polish, americans, italians and portuguese. And with all of them it was a lot of fun! I would describe myself as open minded and interested in nearly everything. I love to do sports, talk to people, going out just for a coffee or a beer, etc. I've never been to Australia before but I studied for two Semesters already in Portugal and for one in the UK. Afterwards I worked in Washington D.C. for a professional soccer/football club. As you can see I just love new experiences and meeting people from all around the world. One of the reasons why I chose now to go to the other side of the world. ;) Richard
Student and part-time worker. I'm easy going, tidy and social - will bring good vibes :) Looking for a room for 150 or slightly more if bills included. Happy to jump on a lease if necessary (just coming out of one). P.s my pic is missing the bow tie!
Hi! My name is Katherine and I'm looking for flatmates to live with around the inner western suburbs! I am currently working full time as a Speech Pathologist, but also spend 2-3 nights a week studying my Masters degree at UQ. I am a very social person and will always make time for hanging out with my friends if the opportunity presents itself. Although I'm very busy, I'll happily squeeze in a drink or two on the weekends, and enjoy making/listening to music, playing netball, and wishing I was on my next trip! (I love to travel.. especially where there's snow and mountains). I'd like to think I'd make a great housemate - I'm clean, considerate, and always respectful of my surroundings. I take ownership of my responsibilities as a human, and would always pay bills on time/ensure my duties are always fulfilled! I also consider myself to be quite a relaxed person, and don't get too caught up on the little things (I try to see the big picture!), so although I'm clean and tidy, I don't get anal about things easily. I'm looking to share a house/apartment with like minded individual/s, open to making new a new friend :)
Hello ! We are two professionals in mid 20's. Recently moved to Brisbane from Perth. We are very easygoing, friendly, quiet, clean and respectful and of course we share chores. We are not party animals but are always up for a good talk. Non smokers and pet friendly. We both love working out and hiking to discover new places. We also like reading, photography, travelling. If you want to know more about us, please feel free to ask) PS: If you want to offer us the room, please attach your mobile phone number.Pls have a look at our max rent limit for 2 people.
Planning ahead for July! I'm an international student from Canada studying Pharmacy at UQ. I can be a pretty big introvert, which is great if you're looking for a quieter roommate. I'm by no means antisocial, but I mean the introvert part quite literally! I spend about 50% of my life on the internet, and will probably spend the other 40% on campus once the semester gets going. I know some folks are really keen on their roommate being their new best time - the last time I had a roommate in 2012 I was asked to leave because my roommate took it really personally! So ideally you really are looking for someone quieter and not a new life partner. I've been living on my own since then, but I'm pretty cost-conscious so my motivation here is really a matter of splitting rent. Ideally, it'd be splitting a 2-bedroom apartment with someone interested in staying for at least a few years (I'm just starting a four year program) but open to other arrangements for shorter periods of time.
Hey I am UQ student from India , who is cheerful and easy going. Respect others personal space and hygiene and expect the same . Looking to live in a multicultural and cosmopolitan area. Enjoy making friends and creating memories .Looking forward to hear from you.
Hello! I am looking for a room in Brisbane Inner Suburbs until the end of June 2017! I am a post graduate student at UQ (doing a graduate certificate in Business) where I plan on moving after I finish at the end of June. I have lived in Brisbane for 5 years (2011- 2015) where i completed my undergrad (Bachelor of Psychological Science) and I then spent 2016 travelling across Europe and parts of USA before moving back home with my parents in Cairns to work. I have just moved back to Brisbane and earnestly looking for a place to stay! I spend most of my time studying (a little sad I know) but if I'm not studying I'm going out to eat with friends or taking photos because I'm an avid photographer :) I'm quiet and easy going to live with. I can provide: myself, Sizzler's secret recipe for cheesy toast, and a large television. I'm looking for - any place in the vicinity of a bus that can get my sorry self to UQ and back for classes - a room large enough for a double bed even if there isn't room for much else (double bonus if it comes with built-ins) - Ideally only needed until end of June this year. - A place that I can park my car (it doesn't have to be an official garage/car port, just some place it isn't going to be towed away on da streets). My car is pretty tiny (it's a Nissan Micra) so it doesn't need much room. Unfortunately as I won't be staying in Brisbane for a year I can't get the street parking resident sticker permit for my car from the council so if there is restrictions on street parking in the street my car can't get around them - Any other street parking is completely fine by me though! I am also only looking for private rooms not shared rooms - thanks :)
Hey everyone! I'm a Canadian student from Montreal who recently got accepted at UQ in their Masters of Audiology Studies program and am currently looking for a place or roommates with an intent to find a shared accommodation. Other people would describe me as outgoing, clean and friendly. I love pets as well, I have cockapoo dog who will not be coming with me :(. I'm looking for a place that is quiet and clean, relatively close to the UQ St-Lucia campus and roommates where I could have an occasional chat, and hang out. For fun, I like to hike, workout or check out new restaurants, cafes or the latest hot spots that the city has to offer! Cheers, Arshdeep
My name is Derek Ricketts, I am a 20 year old peruvian. I am moving to Brisbane to finish my economic bachelor at UQ. In my free time I enjoy surfing and skating, as well as playing soccer. I consider myself easygoing and active.
Hi All, I'm currently working full time in marine biology and lead a relatively active lifestyle but also enjoy having a dinner or cheeky movie night with my flatmates. I love nature, adventure and seeing new places and cultures. I can usually be found hiking, scuba diving , rock climbing or going to the farmers markets on weekends. I like living in a cheerful and relatively clean household with responsible yet fun young adults , appreciate good music and love baking (especially vegan treats) and sharing the treats. Always open to new ideas and am very friendly. Also enjoy having some quiet time and chilling out with friends when I'm not working.
Hi, I am currently looking for a room close to the St Lucia campus as I will be working (research fellow position) at the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI). I am from France. I love doing sport (running & swimming almost every day), traveling, meeting and exchanging with new people. Feel free to send me a message if you want to know me a bit more. Marcin
