High school teacher and traveller who loves a laugh and a glass of red wine. Despite the large collection of cookbooks, am a terrible cook and usually resort to making some form of eggs for dinner. Previous housemates in London are now brilliant friends... hoping the luck will continue back home in Brisbane. Looking for a large room to cater for a desk, as well as some natural sunlight!
Hey guys! I'm a 27yo Canadian here on a working holiday visa. I'm currently on a bridging visa, waiting for my visa to be renewed, so a flexible length of stay to begin with is ideal for me. I love Brisbane, so providing everything goes well I'd be looking to stay for 4-6 months. I'm a vego, environmentally friendly, social and outgoing. I love a good chat or debate, and would prefer a roommate/roommates that are outgoing and friendly as well. That said, I do value my space from time to time, and will respect yours as well. I love to have a night out on occasion, and am usually keen for a drink or two, but I've definitely outgrown my party days. I love animals but am unfortunately allergic to cats, so as much as I'd love to, I can't live with one! Dogs are more than appreciated though! I'm looking for a place as soon as possible so send me a message if it seems like a good match! Cheers! Kate
I’ll write something a little later!
I’m doing my PhD at UQ in developmental biology looking at heart development. In my spare time, I like to keep active by going for jogs, hiking, swimming and cycling. I also like to travel when I get the chance. I’m a pretty easy going flatmate as my work keeps me busy most of the time! I also have a kitty who is very social and playful. :)
Hey there! I’m Michelle :) I work full time in Flight Centre head office based in South Brisbane. I’m looking for a place in West End or Highgate Hill to be close enough to either walk or bike to work. I’ve always lived in share accommodation which means I know how to get along well with everybody and also be respectful of others. I’m always mindful to be clean in the communal areas and hope for the same in return. I’m always up for a chat and being social but I recognise the need for personal space too. I am only looking for 6 months at this stage but am still hoping to make some new friends and to have a home rather than just a place to eat and sleep. I have a large, 6 seater dining table and can furnish the kitchen but no lounge room furnishings.
I am a full- time student looking for somewhere lovely to stay in Brisbane that will feel like home when I arrive in July! I am 20 going on 21 and have shared housing with other female students of the same age group for the past two years, so a similar arrangement would be ideal. But the most important thing for me is having a private room, preferably with an en- suite in a lovely flat/studio that I can have to myself/share with other tidy, easy- going people. If I'm not studying/exploring then I just like to just relax in my room with a book/ watch netflix :D
I'm a french student from Paris in exchange for one year at UQ. I'm very sporty, enjoy talking and discovering new people and I would love to discover australia by road-tripping. I like chilling and going out for beers on week-ends evening but i'm not a hard partying guy. I pay attention in keeping my place clean. Can't wait for starting a new life in Australia !
I'm originally from Toowoomba, but moved to Brisbane to study Arts/Law at UQ in 2016. I major in History and I'm involved in theatre and comedy at uni. In my spare time I love hiking, painting, and cooking. I'm organised, tidy, and I like rules and sleeping. I'm a non-smoker but I like participating in a cheeky social drink occasionally :) I'm looking for a place to live in 2019, ideally in a private studio flat with landlords living on site. I'd like to live with a family or a couple of young professionals.
Looking to move in the June/July holidays Hi! My name is Maddie and I'm a first year uni student at UQ, studying science. I moved here from Airlie Beach QLD and have lived in an apartment by myself for 6 months, but the rent is too high. So i am looking for a nice group of girls to move in with for the rest of the year! I mostly keep to myself, and will busy most of the day so I won't be home much. I usually go visit friends or go out for drinks on the weekends too. I'm a very clean and tidy person, can't stand mess, so you don't have to worry about that. So basically if I'm not at uni or visiting friends, I'll probably be in my room studying or sleeping. I usually go home on the holidays too so you'll have one less person in the house. I would consider myself someone who is easygoing and can get along with anyone. I've never really had fights between a friend, so there won't be any tension in the house. I'm really not fussy at all and don't mind what you do. Message me if you have a place in your accomodation and I seem like someone you would get along with! xxx
Hey! I'm looking for a place within a walking distance to QUT where I work full-time as a researcher. I also give tutorials at UQ so would be nice if it's somewhere in-between. I'm social and fun to be around, I train with the UQ Olympic Handball team and I like hiking, yoga, and outdoors activities. I'm usually quite busy and quiet during the week but sometimes I like to have a sneaky beer with housemates after work... Looking to live with social people but not in a party house, somewhere to feel comfortable to come back to after a day of work. I'm clean and tidy and I expect the same from others. interested people please feel free to drop me a message I check here frequently as I wanna move within the next 2 weeks. Looking forward to hear from you! Cheers, Omar
Working full time in a steady office job. Clean, tidy and quiet. Enjoy simple things like netflix, reading, gaming, gardening, cooking, mechanics. I have an aquarium with saltwater fish and corals. It is quite large. 4ft. Makes a great lounge room piece. Looking for a place with lockup garage for my car and tools.
Hi! I'm Eden, a 20y/o student studying at UQ. I've been living in a beautiful sharehouse since the beginning of 2017 but figured it's time to switch it up a bit. I'm relaxed, easygoing, friendly, good with rent/bills, and like to keep everything reasonably tidy. I love meeting new people and am just looking for a welcoming place filled with lovely people to call home. I'll also mention I'm vegan but I'm 100% happy living with people who have different diet preferences, no worries at all. Feel free to message for a chat if you think I'd be a nice fit, I'd love to come check out your place! Thanks!
Hi! I am a young professional (recent graduate in finance and economics). I am a clean, considerate and friendly housemate. I love to have a chat but also respect each other's space and privacy and if you have a dog.. I volunteer as tribute to help you walk it. I have lived in a sharehouse for four years but due to my old share house being sold and my old housemates moving city, I am looking for a new sharehouse. My hobbies include reading, netball, chess, hiking, volleyball, snowboarding and knitting (I took it up while listening to lectures in university). Please consider me as a housemate for your property. If you have any questions or would like to meet me, please do not hesitate to contact me :) Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! Brooke :) UPDATE: $170per week is the maximum I’ll pay for rent per week. Also, I have a queensized bed, wardrobe, beside table and three couches (which I will sell if they will not fit in the house :) ) Thank you :)
Hey, so the basics about me are that my name is Phoebe! I'm 23, I'm a full time nursing student and I also work full time at a bar in the valley. I am a young single female who likes to have a chat and get to know new people; however, I am hardworking and sometimes quiet and looking for flatmates who are of a similar-ish nature. I clean up after myself, am respectful of the other people I live with. I like being social as much as anyone else around my age does, although I definitely have homebody qualities where if I have day off both work and uni I will most likely be guilty of napping and/or watching Netflix, when I should be studying or doing something productive. Its highly unlikely that I will be awake early on weekends to enjoy a coffee or breakfast, but I'm never opposed to having a weeknight wine with some food or whatever! :) I work a lot of nights and I'm basically on a complete different time schedule to everyone I know so, chances are you won't see me all too often - But when you do, it would be nice for it to not be completely awkward and to be able to have a chat etc :)
Hey, my name's Kerrie, I'm moving to Brisbane from England in June this year permanently and I'm hoping to find a cool and compatible roommate on here. I am an easy-going, mindful and clean person. I know how to give space and privacy but equally would enjoy a gin or two, movie night and chat. Would like to find a place with a bit of space, with a respectable roommate, preferably where we have some additional room to accommodate family and friends occasionally who may visit from the UK (once or twice a year at the most) Flexible with my move dates from June onwards. Please feel free to ask any further questions
Hi! I am looking to move relatively close to the city any time between now and the end of May. I’m currently working part time and studying to be a makeup artist. I enjoy having a glass of wine, reality tv binge and chats after work, but I respect the fact that everyone needs their alone time. Generally a home body but I do love to go out for coffee or a few cocktails on the weekends. I own a car so street parking is a must. I have a microwave, washing machine, kitchenware, dining table and chairs, and all of my own bedroom furniture (happy to put furniture into storage if there’s no room). I do like to keep things clean and organised but I’m pretty chill about having house rules. Would be happy to team up with one person or a group to find somewhere to live. Please message me if you’re interested!
Hey everyone! I am looking for a modern style house or apartment in inner Brisbane. My current house is on a busy road so prefer somewhere that's away from traffic. Working as a digital marketer Mon - Fri. My hobbies include going to the gym, shopping, exploring new places in the weekend, art, and I am a classical musician. I clean up after myself and living in a clean hygienic environment is important to me. Requirements: - Unfurnished bedroom - I own a couch, microwave and fridge - Prefer to live with females but flexible - Garage parking would be ideal but would be happy with off-street parking - I'm not a party person so my preference is a peaceful house where everyone does their own thing but get along well and have fun :) Feel free to message!

Hi, I'm Astrid. I'm 21 years old and currently a psychology student at UQ. I'm clean, tidy, and an easy going person who really loves socialising and making new friends. Would love to have a chat while just chillin' in front of TV or having couples of wine while enjoying a dinner together, (or even when you need a company for a weekend getaway ;) ) but I highly value privacy and personal space as well. I also always pay my bills and rent on time (even sometimes a bit early). :D I'm looking for a place that could make me feel like home with people preferably from different multicultural background, as I'm down for new friends and experience!
Hola! I am Jorge from Mexico (36 yrs old). I am an environmental scientist and I just got a full time job (regular office hours) in Brisbane. I am a happy person that loves good conversations, outdoor activities and Latin dancing. I am a tidy, healthy, reliable and fun. Hi my name is Clare. I'm a nurse moving over from London, UK in May. I'm an easy going, social girl who is used to living with lots of people so I'm very considerate and love a chat or going out socialising. I am going to be working at Lady Cilento children's Hospital so looking in the West End, Highgate Hill, Wooloongabba areas. I will be working shifts so have flexible hours. I'm not a big party girl so won't be out all the time but definitely up for going out occasionally, exploring the city and trying new things. Looking for sociable, easy going housemates who are fun and up for doing things occasionally.
Moving to Brisbane from the states to get a masters in Econ at UQ. I love travelling, netflixing, pretty much any outdoor activity, art, music, football, rugby, high brow stuff, low brow stuff, unibrow stuff... I enjoy both going out and staying in for a few beers on weekends but nothing crazy, except for when the time calls for it.
Personal trainer and full time student at QUT looking for a place to live closer to uni and the M1. I'm from Redland Bay and am looking for a place closer to uni as it currently takes me too long to commute. I'm quiet and considerate, and I clean up after myself. I like to go to gym, binge TV shows, and spend time with friends. LGBT friendly household preferred. A place that allows pets would be preferred as I have a cat.
I am a part-time outdoor instructor. I’m very quiet, I respect people’s privacy, I tend to keep to myself, but do enjoy the occasional social gathering. I don’t drink or smoke. Looking for somewhere to stay for a few months, but it may turn into a long-term situation. I prefer access to public transport to get to and from the city.
