I'm a french girl, looking for an accommodation. I'm working as kitchen hand in Richmond. I'm actually in a sharehouse with only french people and I want to be in an international accommodation to improve my English. I'm really open mind and I've been in boarding school so I really know how to live in community. I also enjoy music cinéma, I like to have some drinks and party. If you do have a place for me, and you're ready to share your flat with a really nice girl please let me knooooooow ! :) Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers
Hey I'm Hayley, I've just moved to Melbourne to start a job at a new hospital. I'm a nurse and will be doing shift work so looking for some chill people who can respect that. I'm easy going, tidy, happy to hang out with roommates - have a chat, dinners and of course beverages, but also happy to have my own time when needed. Also a keen gardener and animal lover. Looking forward to meeting some new roomies !
Hi! I'm very friendly and am always happy to have a conversation or hang out. I'm on the tidy side, especially when it comes to common areas. My background is Swiss but I grew up in America. When I'm not studying or working, I love to do yoga, dance, go for bike rides, check out a museum, or go out with friends!
We are a couple from Germany and both very sociable people and open-minded people. Together with our friends, we enjoy visiting concerts, exhibitions or strolling through the city. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi everyone! I’m moving to Melbourne in April with work and am looking for a housemate to move in with. I’m currently living in Sydney and working full time as a flight attendant. I’m super easy going and love a good chat, but definitely understand the value of down time and privacy. I love just chilling at home watching tv or cooking, but also love to go out for dinner and stuff as well. Looking for a place closer to the city, but preferably with parking because I need to drive to the airport for work. I sometimes get sent away or work odd hours but generally always come home at the end of every shift. I do have a cat who will come with me, but he’s a very well behaved and loving one! I can be in Melbourne full time from the 15th of April but if need be I will pay rent from the beginning of April. Preferrably I’m looking for a team up to start a new lease but definitely interested in other options as well! Flick me a message if you have any queries!!
Hi there! Pretty cool Sri Lankan here; I'm a Masters student at RMIT looking for a decent place to settle in. I was a working professional(Electrical Engineer) for four years in the middle east. I'm a respectful, clean, friendly and a simple guy, easy to live with. Just busy doing my thing and good at networking... :) Please feel free to call me and have a chat if you there's a suitable listing. Cheers, Minura.
Adele and Roselia are quirky, talkative, friendly and fun to be around (not to boost our ego or anything :D). We're super neat and tidy, very much live by "mi casa es su casa", but are also very respective of others belongings if they feel differently. We will always contribute to grocery shopping and to any repairs that need to be done around the house. We can also contribute the following to any household we join: -a brand new washing machine -a fairly new vacuum cleaner -a large dining table -a family sized christmas tree -a medium sized silver shag rug -a pink sofa bed Neither of us drive, so being near a tram/train stop is vital for our work commitments. We respect your alone time and your own space as well as tidying up after ourselves, and generally expect the same from our housemate(s). We would love an extra housemate or two to converse with and hang out with us when we make plans - you'll definitely be treated as a friend rather than a housemate!! About the girls: Adele: Outgoing, bubbly, and always down for a dance. I am an aspiring diving instructor, but for now i work full time in the city (in retail). I love keeping up an active lifestyle, between my social life and my gym commitments i can seem like a busy bee, but am always down for a cheeky glass of wine and some good quality banter. Originally from regional/coastal NSW i am in love with melbourne and always take up an opportunity to explore. I'm also a bit of a nerd (Star Wars, LotR, Harry Potter, Marvel, DC-you name it-im obsessed with it!!) and can be a total dork-believe me you'll get great snapchat material. Roselia: Down to earth, laid back, and always up for something spontaneous to do. I lean more towards healthy eating - home cooked meals and regular exercise are important to me. I currently have two jobs working in the early childhood education industry, so it may seem like I'm constantly working everyday. I'm half Thai and half Burmese but I've lived in Melbourne since 99' so this is my home, guys. I own a little chihuahua/ jack russell (boy) who's turning five this year on Halloween! If you ever need a plus one to go to psy festivals, I'm always down :P Us: we may seem different on paper but value the same qualities of life and the same qualities in people, we're excited for a new chapter, and would love to meet you!! Rent budget: Max $200 each from the both of us Preferred: Male housemates
Hey guys! We’re a couple who recently moved to Melbourne looking for a place to call home. To be more specific we’re looking for a room to rent long term, preferably with an ensuite, from the 7th of March onwards (can be a bit flexible if needed). We will need a parking space, preferably inside. When it comes to location we’d like to be in an area close to shops and bars. We’re eager to make new friends but still of course respect people’s personal space. Both clean and tidy people. Harry is a carpenter and will probably fix whatever needs fixing round the house without you asking, just saying! Oh, and he makes a good carrot cake. Please feel free to message either one of us with whatever questions you might have. Cheers! Alva and Harry
Myself, Thanuj. Have traveled round the world and have stayed at various places. To tell more about me, i work full time at CBD and weekends get involved in volunteering at sports events or officiating at Photo finish for Athletics Victoria. Also, i am a good long distance runner and would be participating in running events. Eggetarian by nature and love to cook good vegetarian dishes for self and roommates ( which i am doing now and since last 3 years:)). Foremost thing for me is the cleanliness and i would expect myself to keep the room , common areas and kitchen areas clean and in order as it is a practice followed by me since ages. I always love to meet new people ( this has helped me to make friends across the world) and eager to listen to their life experiences which can help me . Always up for a quick help and a chat. Respect others privacy and if any mistakes done, eagerly try to correct it as it might cause inconvenience to others. Running is my better half and its with me since last 23 years and always love to run if not at home. Still more to brag( but i would love to keep it to self). Downside, i am too skinny and bit less talkative. I don't smoke and drink alcohol ( Except occasional glass of wine)or not a party animal and hold 4 set of running shoes. I have been living across rented houses since 2010 and do own a house way back in my country, this makes me more responsible in all senses. Always pays rent and bills on time as life is stable with fixed income. I hope i would fit into your house as a potential roommate. If you are happy to take this further, love to hear back and can have an inspection time setup at a suitable time. Thanks for all your time and happy to see you soon. Have a wonderful day ahead. Thanks and regards, Thanuj Kumar K
Helloooooo!! I'm a uni student studying languages and development studies, and I work in hospo so I've got enough money for rent and bills etc. I'm kinda sporty (I play hockey for Melbourne Uni, and I enjoy a bit of orienteering too), but I don't go for freakishly long runs every other day. On the fun side, I quite enjoy a beer or glass of wine over dinner, whether its at home or at the pub (love a good pub and beer garden), and I go to gigs and festivals whenever I can afford it. Will happily re-watch GoT or HIMYM at any time and have a long list of tv shows I need to watch. Not the best dinner chef, but will supply homemade cakes, cookies and pickled veg! I also potentially want to start doing homebrew beer, but we'll see how that goes. Also more than happy to live with any furry friends that you may have, especially if they're cuddly. Flexible with preferred stay length, 9 months to a year would be awesome but also happy with minimum six months if you're an awesome bunch! Also flexible with move in date, but preferably no sooner than late March
"Backpacker" from Denmark, currently looking for a nice place to stay, with some awesome people. Preferably close to the CBD. Right now I'm currently working as a part-time bartender at a cocktail bar called La La Land, where I'm at the same time getting trained up to work full time. I love cooking, the occasional glass of wine or cocktail, and going out when I have the time. I'm not a person who throws parties, but I will not mind if other people do. I always clean up after myself in common areas (I have a strong rule of cleaning up after myself in the kitchen right after I'm done). I have no issues with living with animals (I consider pets a bonus). Back home I used to windsurf, kite surf and sail a lot, I also enjoyed taking occasional kayak trips. I don't do that as much in Australia (due to lack of equipment) so I picked up bouldering in Sydney, which I'm hoping to continue doing in Melbourne.
I'm an easy-going freelance photographer & student from Germany and here to study at Victoria University. I'm very open minded, love to hang out and get to know new people, but I also respect other flatmates space & privacy. I'm very tidy as well. Most of the time I'll be out studying or exploring this beautiful city with my camera. Please get in touch with me if you have a furnished room! I'm looking forward to meeting you! Max
Hi, I'm, Cameron a Full-time Masters student moving into Melbourne for the first time (I've been here before tho). Easy going, loves socializing and I think I have a pretty unique sense of humor. I have a whole lot of interests but still very open-minded. However, i do value my privacy as well. I totally believe in the live and let live philosophy, I really do not care what you do as long as it does not affect me. *Strictly looking for private room with ensuite bathroom. Would likely consider own bathroom (that is outside) depending on proximity and privacy* I like to keep fit as well so having a gym in the building or one nearby is a huge bonus. I also do not mind animals, I grew up with pets so rest assured (if you have one). Although I did not bring my car down from NSW, i do want to so let me know the situation for parking for the future (extra cost and what not). I do realise that melbourne might not be best to own a car. Positives: - I consider myself a good person, whatever that means. - Always up for a chat, always happy to do things together as long as I get some personal space when necessary. - Flatshare experienced of around 4 years (never missed a payment) - I do not cook beyond using the microwave sometimes, cleanliness won't be an issue in common areas - Tech savy, will fix internet connections, maybe even recommend on cost lowering, might even make the apartment "high tech" - We will have a good relationship because if we do not I'll probably move out myself, I like to have a positive environment.
I am a 24 year old guy, looking for a place to stay as I move into Melbourne from India to pursue Master of Architecture at University of Melbourne as a full time student. I'm Looking for a calm and friendly atmosphere to live in. I'm easy going and laid back. I like to sketch, passionate about photography, listen to good music, workout on a daily basis and would love to explore Melbourne. I am very punctual when it comes to paying my rent and other bills. I respect everyone’s privacy and keep my surroundings neat and tidy. I am good at having a talk and socializing with new friends/people . So, please get back to me up in case I seem like a good fit.
If you are the kind who doesn't give any fucks about your housemates other than the house will be fully furnished, well I have a whole house full of furniture.. I just need a new place to settle them. But then again, if anyone's keen purely because of my furniture then i probably wouldn't be keen living with them :) Before the list goes on, do let me clarify that I'm just trying to cover as much of myself as I can to make the selection process easier for everyone. Of course I'll still be glad to have further discussions if we feel like that might be a chance of us becoming potential housemates etc. - I come as a package of 3 (2 playful kittens adopted from the shelter + myself). And with cats come their toys. Cat scratchers and cat toys are usually placed in their designated play area so you must love them enough to be able to accept the cat scratcher and their toys in the living area! They are playful so if your mentality is "cats are tolerable" then i don't think i am a suitable housemate. Personality wise I’d say I’m kinda over the let’s get happy drunk every night days. That's not to say no more night conversations over a glass of wine.. it simply means no more binge drinking.. We can all blame Friends for feeding us all these fantasies of how fantastic life would be with new housemates hanging out together, becoming BFFs but well we don't live in NBC. That little childhood dream of having your housemates as your friends, occassionally chilling over wine and hanging out will still resurface once in a while but as life takes over, I do understand that sometimes all we want when we get home is just some private space. And I absolutely second that. what's wrong than having a horrible day at work and housemates waiting for you at home to chill and make stupid jokes right after a horrible day. Not everyone's a 24/7 social butterfly (well, at least not me). So this is me in a very long essay lol. Oh Finally, i work 9-5 in the city but usually i will either be working late or staring at my monitors even when im home. Work aside, i have really varied interests. Trying having a conversation with me :)
I am a PhD candidate studying in New York City and I'll be doing research at University of Melbourne from now through the end of May. I'm looking for a place to live that's in a fun area but not too far from the university. To give you a little more info about me: I'm a 26 year old grad student who has lived in Manhattan for the past 5 years (so I'm very accustomed to sharing spaces). I love to cook and hike. I consider myself pretty easy going and social. I'm down to chat and have a drink, and am hoping to have a solid amount of time to explore the city and have fun, but I will probably be in the lab most of the time during my stay.
Hi! I'm 31, from Sydney originally. Trained as a lawyer, I'm currently working f/t for the state government in social policy. I returned to oz in mid-2017 after four years in Europe (France and Switzerland) so naturally I'm pretty obsessed with cheese and French cinema. I have a raclette machine, not sure I need to write anything else... Other big loves include hanging out at all night bookstores, dancing in the dark, being a creep at dog parks, France, Debussy, Miyazaki and hummus. Having primarily lived in share houses for the past 11 years, I'm a considerate, respectful and responsible housemate. I'm always down for a good chat over a glass of wine or a weekly house dinner/pancake session but I can also appreciate that people need their space (i'm an introvert myself so often need recharge time but I'd prefer not to live with hermit-y types). I love cooking so would be great to live in a place with an oven. I'm pretty friendly and easy going and enjoy a sweet house party every now and then but mostly I'm looking for a chilled house with progressive people in their 30s :) If you have a doggo or speak french - defs get in touch, would love to live with you!
Young professional, easy going, happy to watch whatever is on tv, good listener 😊. Originally from Brisbane, I moved to Melbourne for my work in June 2017.
Hi, I’m Libby. I currently work as a psychologist and in research. When I’m not working, I’m into cooking and baking (will share baked goods - this is a plus), health and fitness, good (and sometimes bad) Tv shows on Netflix, music, and just being a sloth. I’m fairly sociable and enjoy hanging out with my friends on th weekend, having a drink and chatting every now and then, but also value alone-time and privacy, especially at home. I’m easy going and considerate, and keep things clean and tidy when I can. I’ve been living in the same sharehouse in Fitzroy with the same housemates for the last 3 years and I get along easily with people in general, but am pretty honest and straightforward when needed. Looking to move out as my current housemates are moving out and going their separate ways and I also want to join in this change (and end of an era). I have a car so parking space is essential - willing to pay for a permit if it is available.
I'm very friendly! Working full-time with a gig that ends in mid April. Mostly keep to myself but happy to chat. I like cats, dumplings, watercolours etc.
studying, working, previous experience in a share house, looking for a room late Feb-early March- ideally looking for an unfurnished room, looking to make a house a home- currently spending Uni holidays with my family in Byron and working over the holidays- I'm tidy and responsible, enjoy a nice cold bevvy after a hard days work (or any Ol' day) I'm an op-shop addict, love some good tunes and come with a megaboom, mad baking/dinner skillz and make a meaannn margarita. Feel free to shoot me a message or ask any questions- Thanks, Dayna. X
