I am looking for a single room that is furnished, I do not want to be sharing a room. Love to be outdoors and having fun!

I've just finished the HSC (VCE), and am hoping to move to Melbourne for Uni. I plan to have a GAP year in 2017, to get a job and get my life in order, so I hope to move in somewhere during that year. I'm a Vegetarian who's attempting to go Vegan, but I do not force my choices onto anybody, my family are all meat-eaters and it really does not bother me, I'll probably never even mention it. I'm up for all chores, I'm not really fussy. 'Fun' wise, I want to be a novelist, so I am normally reading or writing.
Hi there! I'm a student looking for somewhere to live next year whilst I study a Bachelor of Environments at Melbourne university, majoring in Architecture and Urban Planning & Design. I both work and study, so you can rely on me to be committed to monthly rent payments. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising, reading, drawing things that aren't buildings and cities, and playing my guitar (acoustic, don't worry!). Ideally would like to move in before the commencement of the 2017 study year (just before the beginning of March) , and stay until the conclusion of my exams, however am flexible on the length of stay beyond 9 months. If you have something that you think would meet this criteria, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Laura
I currently work full time as an IT consultant during weekdays. I love meeting new people and having long lasting friendships, so I'm looking for someone like-minded who wants to make a home and not just a place to sleep in. A little bit about my house habits: I can't cook very well so I often don't even try -- but hey, that's less water consumed for the month, and if you're like me, we can always order in food together. Except for rice. I'm good at cooking rice. I'm clean without being over the top. I keep my belongings to a minimum as I don't really have a penchant for knick knacks... and my laptop entertains me enough during the week (see: IT consultant). Will most likely faint at the sight of a spider or a roach. During my down time I enjoy watching Netflix/Stan, reading books, browsing the web and maybe chatting with you! I really need to strengthen up / be more fit, so if you're an advocate for healthy living I would love your assistance in dragging my lazy ass to the park for a morning jog. Cheers, Deb
I am from London and my girlfriend is from Colchester in Essex. After we graduated from university, we worked, saved money and are now attempting to travel around the world! We enjoy meeting new people, visiting new places, live music and food. We are looking to find a place in Melbourne to stay for about 2 weeks while we find longer term accommodation and new jobs in the city. We are friendly, socialble and tidy. Happy to answer any questions, cheers!

I am a Canadian who will be coming to Melbourne to study Law. I am into music and am interested in exploring the Melbourne music scene. I play guitar generally acoustic so it is quieter and I would be mindful about what time of day I play it. I am easy going and am generally quite clean, and can be counted on the keep with my share of house responsibilities. I am a pretty sociable person and if I am around the house would be keen to hang out but I respect housemates independence and value my own alone time as well. I am a big reader and am always willing to discuss any books, current issues, culture ect. I am looking to live with laid back people who are not racist, homophobes ect and are just generally cool people. Feel free to ask any more personal details about myself.
Hey, I'm Jane - I'm returning to Melbourne from 8 months travelling through Central and South America. Loving it - but have to return to reality eventually! I'm friendly, respectful, clean and tidy and enjoy a quiet house during the week but love socializing on the weekends! I visit my family out in the country every few weekends. I have been living in share houses for the past 5 or so I know the drill with keeping common spaces clean and being a good housemate :) Feel free to be in contact if you have a room for me!

I'm looking to secure an arrangement WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. I'm an American student attending San Francisco State University. My partner will be studying abroad at Uni Melbourne and I've come across a great opportunity to go with her. We'll need to move into a place at the end of January / beginning of February. I would describe us as studious and low key, though we do make sure we're getting out and having fun. I'm majoring in technical and professional writing and would continue my studies during my stay in Melbourne (fortunately all my classes are online). I also plan to work part-time during my stay. My partner will be busy with her studies at the university. We're in a hurry to find a place IMMEDIATELY to move into at the end of January/beginning of February!

Hey everyone! I am looking for a private room in a flat/house/apartment for a long term stay. I am able to move in about 2 weeks notice. I currently study at Swinburne Uni completing my business degree and work part time. I have previous share house experience and I am quite accustomed to it. About me, I am an easygoing, chill guy, having conversations about any topic, I enjoy listening to music (dj casually), keeping my body healthy, travelling, being social and up for a drink. Hi! I'm looking to relocate to Melbourne in early-mid 2017 for a gap year (or two) before going into Uni, and i'm just saving up in the meantime. I'm really into comics, anime, games and writing- but I also like social/music events, just socializing and messing around outdoors. I'd prefer a place with chilled out and open-minded people, and while I do value my own time alot i'd definitely be down to spend time with housemates including going out or having movie nights and things like that. Looking for a somewhat lengthy stay so I don't have to be constantly moving around and to feel established somewhere. Budget, suburbs, and move date etc are all just close estimates as most of it will change by the time I move- which should be around March but i'm just starting to look early. :)
Hi, I'm Geywalin. I'm 27 years old, looking for a private room in share house in Melbourne. I'm going there on work and holiday visa so I probably be out for work and travel around the city. I'm quite clean and tidy, also respectful of other people's space and privacy.
Hey guys, my name is Julia. I just moved to the big smoke from the lovely Gold Coast thismorning. I have always wanted to live in Melbourne and now I am here! Life is good. I am looking for a room in north Melbourne, no further than Coburg. I'm cool with a big house with lots of rooms or somewhere small. I have a cat named Sage. She's an inside girl, low energy and is desexed and twelve years old. She spends most of her time sleeping. I'd love for her to feel safe and at home where we go. I'm an artist who is looking forward to all of the creative opportunities Melbourne has to offer. I'm not a 9-5er. Hit me a message because my hearing is crap (ish). I am super friendly, relaxed, accepting, open minded and LGBT friendly. It could be rad. 😊
I'm easy to live with, very quiet, not a party man (not drinking nor smoking). I'm not intrusive at all. Respect your privacy! I practice ahletics (I'm a sprinter). I love reading and educating myself.

I am friendly, outgoing, open-minded, cheerful. I like partying , movie nights, watching tv series, grabbing a glass of wine sometimes..Not a 24 hours party animal but I like meeting with new people, chatting, sharing thoughts, funny stories.. We don't have to be friends as soon as we respect each other and other's life. But if we do, why not? I'm looking for a place as a private room. Yard would be fine to have some friends and BBQ(I'd never complain about something if you'd do it everyday haha). I might be a student in Melbourne, but no worries about the bills cuz I'm already employed in my country. I'll be landed on 8th so it's a bit urgent <3

I have been living in Australia for over 6 years and prior to that I lived in the USA for 10 years. During my initial years in the USA, I was a graduate student. As such, I am used to living comfortably with international people. I am very clean, neat and tidy and expect my flatmate to be the same. After work, I will be spending my time in gym or pool. Hi, I'm Clint, I'm 28 and I am looking for a place to live. I'm fairly flexible in terms of location as long as it's easy enough to get into the city for work. I'm looking for a fairly social house - hopefully nothing too crazy/hectic though. About me: I'm easygoing, friendly and considerate. I enjoy watching / playing most sports and don’t mind a social drink or two. I’ve lived in a few different flat shares so know what's expected, what makes a good housemate and what makes a shit housemate. If you think you have something suitable please let me know! Thanks. Clint.

I'm Emma, 41, full-time office hours professional. I travel a little for work and to visit family and friends interstate so don't have a pet but I would love to move in somewhere with a dog (or cat... But prefer dogs). My family are in Sydney so I will be back up there over christmas/new year. Im easygoing, adaptable and generally positive and happy. I like to get out swimming and running and try to keep fit. I am well travelled and there is usually some plan for a work or holiday overseas trip on the horizon! I have been house sitting but need to move out as the family are returning earlier than expected. Short or longer term options are all good... I am ready to go now! Its obviously a bit rushed I had been trying to find somewhere to buy but that search isn't going so well. So ideally I can find someone/somewhere that is at least good for 3 months but open for longer term if my search to buy doesn't go that well ;) I have a car so do need somewhere I can park it, but I'm fine with on street/permit etc.
I'm an osteopath that has been lucky enough to travel the world with work for the past 10yrs. Will be settling back in Melbourne in the new year & I'm looking for a place not too far from the city. Hey! My name's Brad and I'm travelling here from the UK on a year long working holiday visa. I have already travelled the length of the east coast of Australia and now find myself in Melbourne - just in time for the nice weather! I am keen to get to know the city better and explore everything that Melbourne has to offer. I like to see myself as someone who is easy going, friendly and sociable who has a wide array of interests - from live music to finding good food out and about. I have lived through university and four months in Brisbane in shared houses so I definitely understand how important the dynamic of a house is. Hope to see you soon!
I am always the life of the party, but still know a way to keep calm at home. My past roommates have loved my energy, stories, and the fact that I used to be a professional chef and am a bartender. I know how to provide all the finest drinks and food that we spend heaps of money on at home. I am currently taking a year off from university to work on an art exhibition that I will be doing in February in Melbourne. I am an artist. I am well traveled. I was raised in a few different countries. I speak multiple languages. I I I... enough about me. Ask what you are curious about, all that really matters is that I was raised right, I am polite, very friendly and fun to be around.
