I'm a relaxed and tidy individual; enjoy my space but also enjoy co-working, sharing meals or just hanging out. I sometimes like to go to gigs too. I play guitar and bass and have a few musical projects on the go at any time. Sometimes I go busking in the CBD and play gigs with a band. I work part time as a bartender at the Melbourne Recital Centre and am halfway through a Psychology Post-Grad. I really enjoy gardening, reading, cooking and listening to music in my spare time when I'm not playing. I live a humble existence and am always open to learning new things. I'm keen to team up with people who are looking for a new house. Ideally we'd all be creatively swayed into different artistic disciplines so we can bounce ideas off each other. Looking for people who would be interested in getting involved in multi-disciplinary collaborative projects and who would want to keep the house as an evolving entity. I have a lil cat named Pepper who would ideally be moving with me. She's a nutter at times (mostly dinner times) but is super affectionate and independent.
I'm Natália, a 29yo brazilian and marketing manager. Respectful, friendly and clean. Used to sharing apartments in different countries. Would like a flatmate that wants to be friends and interact a bit while still maintaining their own life and privacy. Not interested in shared rooms! Tks!
Hi, I'm Johanna from Sweden. I work full time as a receptionist in the cbd. I love my job and i'm there monday to friday from early mornings to late nights. I like to spend my weekends with my friends. I love to party as much as i can love to just stay in and watch a movie. Hey, I'm Jane! I'm a young professional who has recently moved to Melbourne from London. I currently live in Prahran but due to the landlord moving back in, I'm looking to move within the area (South Yarra, Windsor etc.). I'm easy going, clean, tidy and social. I'm ideally looking for a house share with some like minded people.
I'm a Canadian teacher who will be doing relief teaching in the North areas of Melbourne. I need easy access to the tram in order to get to the various schools I'll be working in. :) I'm easy-going, the Canadian brand of super-friendly and tidy! I'll be off travelling and rock-climbing for all school holidays and most weekends! I'm hoping to find a place to stay until December. I'm looking for a furnished room, if possible.
Im Alex, 25, photography student, nature enthusiast, ideas man and champion procrastinator. I describe myself as an extroverted introvert, happy to socialise among new groups but equally as happy to run home, hide and recharge. I work for Australian Fashion Group, Assembly Label. Ive lived all over the Australian East Coast from Country Victoria, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. I have a wide range of interests from horticulture to fashion to travel and everything in between. Want to know more, please ask :)
I am a super easy-going guy, originally from the UK however I currently hold a PR and I am waiting for my Citizenship application to be processed. I don't smoke, I am very clean and respectful, I am an ambivert which means I am comfortable in both social and quiet situations. I work full-time for the Government, I like to be out and about in my free time. I enjoy reading, films and hiking.
I'm a sociable person but completely respect when people want their own space. I'm tidy and always up to help out with keeping the communal areas nice to live in. I'm originally from New Zealand and am fresh to Melbourne after spending a couple years away in Europe. I enjoy watching sport, listening to music, watching movies and chatting over a good craft beer!
Hey! we are Emma (24) and Craig (24) both from sunny Glasgow, Scotland and having recently graduated from university, decided to up sticks and move down under. (we plan to be in Melbourne for the next 6-12 months) We are easy-going, sociable people keen to explore Melbourne and get to know what it has to offer. We are house trained, can keep a flat clean and tidy and we both love a glass of wine/night out now and again but are not the 4am party every weekend type. We also both love animals and would be more than happy to share a home with any number of four legged creatures. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Looking forward to hearing from you :) Emma and Craig
Hi Guys My name is Pat. I moved from Sydney to Melbourne in 2014 to pursue academic and career goals. I would describe myself as ambitious yet laidback. Preferred social setting is definitely a café/restaurant, although I do enjoy a sneaky night out once in a while. I currently work split shift 5.00am - 8.00 and 3.00pm - 7.00pm with school in between so I'm normally the first out of the house and first to bed but enjoy to socialise and share a meal. Also fairly clean, like to keep things tidy but by no means a neat freak. If you would like to no more please do not hesitate to ask. Look forward to meeting you Pat
Hello - looking for a social, eco inclined, likeminded household to join. Preferably with a nice garden I could contribute to. Originally from Sydney I've been in Melb for a bit over 7 years. I've settled into a nice circle of friends and community and feel like a naturalised creature of the inner north. I'm sociable, enjoy passing time with new and amusing people, but I am also pretty independent and am happy doing my own thing too. I love music. Both listening and playing a bit of guitar (generally along a folk/indie/country vibe) - more for therapeutic reasons than seriously. Cycling is a passion. I commute by bike but also like to disappear for hours on rides out in the hills. I also play soccer regularly. I try to have a creative projects going although at the moment it doesn't seem to much more than the compiling of lists, such are the demands of wage slavery. I'm also on a bit of a reading bender at the moment. I'm a keen gardener and at a minimum I'm worm farming with kitchen scraps and herb growing. I also come with a dwarf lemon tree, a kumquat tree and a bay tree. I cook a lot. And I love eating food. I manage my own fodder but I'm happy to fling a meal out to an unmotivated or tired fellow human from time to time. I consider myself a Veganesque-Garbagitarian - meaning, I don't intentionally eat animal things but am pretty relaxed about it, and don't like to waste. I don't care what others eat. But this is the kind of food I tend to put into my belly I have minimalist and frugal living inclinations, aiming to produce rather than just consume. Left leaning too, if that isn't already obvious. None of this should really impact on you - but it might be interesting to know. I do like to watch occasional television series, but tend to hide in bed with a laptop and binge when I do A house with the telly on nonstop would be a real drag. A drink? Every now and then? Don't mind if I do. But not suckling from a goon bag or passing out anymore. I'm an animal lover - so would be happy to become pals with your animals if you have any. In the past I've been friends with a Goldfish, a German Shepard, and 3 female rats (sisters). No pets now sadly. I've recently downsized all my things so have few items of furniture. However I have a keen and patient eye for vintage and tasteful ebay bargains so could help with furnishings over time. I clean up common areas like bathrooms and kitchens as I use them, so they are nice for the next person - and would prefer to live with others who have the same approach. I have lived alone in the past and during that time it was fun to see how many dishes you could stack into the sink before washing - but thankfully when share housing I'm far more civilised. I love dishwashers. I like to think that they love me back I am looking for mature, responsible and fun social peeps to live with. Social but also independent. Clean and tidy, and considerate. Intelligent chit chats, viewing the world with a critical and compassionate eye. Eco aware. A good sense of humour would be ideal. I think this possibly describes what everyone is looking for? I'm also looking for a quieter abode to be able to have a rest from the world, rather than a party house. I currently work as lawyer/policy person for a not-for-profit in the media sector, although I'm shortly going to be freelance. I have other income producing projects so paying rent and bills will never be a problem, but while I'm currently a 9-5-er, I won't be for much longer and would like to work from home occasionally. I hope the thumbnail sketch above of where i'm at and what my interests and motivations are may give you some idea of who I'm looking to live with. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
PLEASE NOTE: I am looking for TWO rooms - a bedroom and an additional sunroom/study/studio/shed from which I could teach singing students 3 days a week. Please do not contact me if your place doesn't have this possibility! and PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOUR PLACE IS OUTSIDE OF MY LISTED AREAS. I am not interested. Read below for more details... My name is Becca, I’m 27, I’m from Tassie originally but been in Melbourne since Feb last year :) I work a few different jobs: I’m an artist (mostly musician but do a bunch of other kinds of arts too). I’m a self-employed voice coach, teaching technique for singing and speech (but mostly singing) 3 days a week. I work 1 day a week at Mork Chocolate Brewhouse in North Melbourne (from which I bring home tasty treats sometimes!), 2 nights a week at Open Studio in Northcote, am also currently applying for more/new jobs. I also model for life drawing classes and sometimes do other random odd jobs here and there. I’m looking for a home, not just a house; I am a busy person who does my own thing a lot and has a lot of projects I’m working on, so I’m not wanting to live out of each other’s pockets, but I also want to have a place where we hang a bit in the communal areas in the evenings and chat about our days or talk shit, cook and eat together now and then, hang out in the sun on good days and have a beer. In my current house there isn’t much of a good shared lounge area and everyone just kind of lives in their rooms all the time and I am craving a little bit more of a casual family vibe. I don’t smoke, I’ve never been late on rent or bills, I like to be energy usage conscious though not anally-so, I like to try to be good to the environment. I’m great at cleaning and I’m house-proud; I am happiest when my place is looking clean and beautiful, I like indoor plants, sunshine, fresh air, and putting up art :) I’m often singing but I’m told I’m good at it, I like to put on loud music and dance around the house when I’m home alone or if someone wants to dance with, but am also very capable of quieting the fuck down when people need to sleep/concentrate. I’m silly, playful, and affectionate, but also a proper grown up. Ideally I’m looking for a place which has a sunroom/study/spare room/office where I would be able to set up my desk and teach my voice students from. I teach about 3 days a week, 5 hours maximum, finishing by 8pm at the latest (a lot of the time a lot less/earlier). Totally keen to make said teaching room also a shared art room and useable by anyone else at times when I’m not teaching! Or happy to pay a little extra rent for the use of the extra room. I've put $230 per week as max budget but I am really hoping to get less than that. I'm currently paying $200/week.
Hi, We are Fabien (27yo) and Amélie (26yo), a French couple searching for a share house. After a year in Western Australia and Tasmania, we’ve spent the last 8 months in Melbourne, working in construction for me, and doing hospitality and working at the Uniqlo store for Amélie. We just spent the past 2 months in France for holidays and came back few days ago to start our studies back here in Melbourne. Amélie is going to study patisserie, so a lot of cakes baking to come 😉 ), while still working on the side to fully enjoy Melb awesome lifestyle. I will start soon a construction project manager diploma to get a permanent visa while I will continue to work with my previous company. We’re together for 6 years now, easy going and tidy people, cooking amateurs (we would love to cook you some french meals!), big art lovers, always keen for adventures and we already spent the last years sharing houses with 6 to 12 people. We also really like to do a nice BBQ with friends, enjoy a good glass of wine after a long day at work (well, we’re French, arent’ we?) and our relaxing time involves playing guitar and doing embroideries for Amelie (among other things). We are looking for something available asap. If you think we could suit for your house, please let us know if we can meet! ;-) Cheers Amélie and Fabien
I'm 22 years old and currently study at Deakin and work part-time at a firm on chapel st. I also work casual shifts at the Corner Hotel in Richmond. I am outgoing however also like some downtime - I enjoy going to gigs/ drinking cheap wine/ binge watching shows etc. I am not an amazing cook however I have great ambitions and enjoy trying to cook up a delicious housemate feast. I am tidy and moved out of home in 2012 so am used to the idea of sharing a space. If you need any references let me know! Also length of stay is negotiable - can stay 4 weeks up to 1 year
23 year old manager who can quote more episodes of Kath &v Kim and more moments from The Castle than anyone you would have ever met. My weekdays consist of me going to work, the gym & then watching documentrys & Netflix, my weekends consist of me going out for drinks on a Saturday & then brunch on a Sunday. Looking for someone to share a place with who lives a similar "is she a party girl or a sad loner, I don't know?" Sort of lifestyle! If you want to know more about me instead of reading this dribble- hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan This is Amy.
Hi my name is Tess, I'm 25. Recently moved down to melbourne from Darwin for work. I have a 5 moth old boxer-x puppy called Bonnie she is really well behaved and super affectionate! I'm a shift worker, mostly morning or afternoons and some on call stuff at night from home. But not fussed by noise during day/or night. In my free time I love a drink or going out to eat (or both). Pretty routine with gym walking bonnie ect... love a gym buddy here and there, so if your into that kind of thing, great! 😊 Other then that I'm super chill and just enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle, it's a bit different from Darwin and I'm loving exploring new places and always open for suggestions or to tag along to whatever is going. ✌🏼
Things about me: --currently studying engineering technology at RMIT --from a small country town in western Victoria called Kaniva --involved in the scouting community --a recreational pilot --play Aussie rules football --I enjoy going out on the weekends, sometimes --able to cook a couple of different meals but I wouldn't say I'm any Gordon Ramsey --Im a pretty chill person --international traveler
Hello! I just moved back to Melbourne from New York to begin a postgraduate degree in Psychology. I grew up in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. I have travelled quite a lot, but I promise not to talk about it too much. I have lived in Istanbul and New York (and Brisbane!). I try to lead a fairly healthy life. I like to read books and ride bikes and go camping and watch movies and stand-up comedy and cook and listen to music and dance in a David Byrne kind of a way. I'd like to live in a place that feels like a home, where people hang out and chat and sometimes cook and eat together, but also respect each other's privacy and desire to sometimes be alone to watch golden age TV shows. Please get in touch if you think we can make this work!
Hi, i'm John, 26 years old and have just moved to Melbourne. I'm originally from England, but have spent most of the last few years living abroad; starting with Sydney, then lived in Banff in Canada for a year, then NZ and now here! So not a huge fan of being back home...you only live once, so i thought i might as well live a little and get some stories to tell when i'm old. About me...i'm a super tidy, pretty chilled guy, looking for somewhere to call home and some awesome people to call new housemates. I'm planning on living in Melbourne for at least a year. I'm a big music fan...big into hip-hop; but love a bit of everything; from folky stuff, to rock, to house/techno, to jazz...if its good. So... listening to music, concerts and even making some music are on the hobby list; apart from that, big into snowboarding when i get the chance; always down to hit up some vintage shops and waste money on clothes, love eating out and a good party now and then as well.

Hi, my name is Matt. I will be doing a bachelor of engineering/business at RMIT this year and need a place to stay in Melbourne with quick access to the CBD on public transport. I also work part time at a pub. I come from Boolarra in rural Victoria so that's why I need to move. I'm ready to move in right now, and I am looking for a place to stay until at least mid november, possibly next year as well. My hobbies include footy, basketball, hanging out with mates and video games. I'm not looking for a crazy party house but I also am not too fussed if there are some gatherings every now and again. If you would like any further details about myself, please message me on flatmates. Thanks :)
I am looking for a room somewhere in Melbourne's inner east. I work in Hawthorn east and spend a fair amount of time going to the bay kitesurfing in the weekends so somewhere in between is perfect. I ride my bike to work everyday so I dont want to be to close to Hawthorn east as I enjoy a decent ride, also biking is part of keeping fit which is important to me. The house and people are more a focus for me than the suburb. I am open to any suburb in this area. Originally from New Zealand I have been living over here for around 15 years, 12 in Sydney and 3 in Melbourne. After 9 years in the snow ski industry I now work in the IT industry as an analyst/programmer so I like to be active in the w-ends. Kitesurfing is my main hobby. I also like biking, technology, travelling, food (especially Asian), socializing/eating out, sport and just about anything that is fun. I am very easy going, consider myself clean and tidy and are very respectful of other people and their space. I am an animal lover so don't mind any household pets especially dogs. I look forward chatting and hopefully to coming and meeting you!
Hello! im Martina, a 27 years old girl from Argentina. Im staying in Melbourne for a while and im looking for someone to live with for 2 weeks :) Im an easy going person, i love been outside, and for the moment i have a part time job, probably going to turn in a full time. I love been outoors, so i dont really spend much time at home. I like music and drink some beers while we are cooking :) Im very respectfull, clean and tidy person! So, no worries about that! Im staying with some friens at the moment but im looking forward to have my own space, and definetly shear dinner, coffes and beers with new people! Cheers!
Hey legends. Here's me at 33, trying to settle down, appreciate the small things, ya know? Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a drink and a sick party on the weekends but I'm more likely to find salvation in the pages of a book, the midst of a conversation or a meal on the stove than at the bottom of a bottle on a Tuesday night. I work 4 days a week as a web developer but I still harbour secret thoughts that the book I wrote last year will spark into a career as a journalist - that's what my fifth day is for - writing.
My name is Alexia, I have just moved from Sydney to Melbourne and am looking for a share-house apartment. I am starting up a graphic design course here so I will be studying as well as working here. I am a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys keeping fit, cooking and socialising.
Hello, I am an Architect from India, in Melbourne for postgraduate study at the University of Melbourne, looking for a flatshare. I am a fun, respectful and clean human person. I have shared houses before and get along well with most people. I am pretty social and like to cook veggie treats, sketch a little and explore new places. If you like catching up on the latest movies, TV shows or anything visual for that matter, we would get along quite well. We would also get along very well if you'd like to be left alone. Privacy is important for me and I respect this need in others as well. My idea of fun is to catch up with friends over drinks or food and sometimes a quiet night in with a good book or a movie. I am looking for easy going, conscientious and tidy people to cohabit a space with. Cheers
I came to Melbourne from Germany to study at the RMIT and will stay here at least until November. I'm an open and sporty person who likes to chat and meet new people. I don't mind having a beer or two together, but can also be calm and quiet.
Looking for a comfortable and relaxing place walking/bus/biking distance to La Trobe University as I will be beginning my studies for Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery. I am mature, clean and respectful. I am wanting to find a place where I can feel at home and potentially make new friends. I enjoy exploring, red wine, board games and the occasional boogie on a weekend. Would love to find a housemate who could show me around Melbourne to all the great bars and restaurants!
Easygoing, social and tidy housemate looking for new digs and some rad people to live with. 28 and working full time in Finance. I like to stay active, check out coffee shops and bars etc. Moving early March out of my place since the lease is up. I'm respectful and tidy and like to hang with my housemates where I can.
We're from Brazil, Elisa (35) and Natacha (31). We study and work most of the time. Elisa studies Horticulture and I'm study Project Management. Easy-going, friendly, open-minded, clean and enjoy make gardens.
Clean and tidy. Respect other people's space. Sociable but not a party person. Able to pay rent on time. Graduate student, will be working part time. Looking for a quiet and friendly place to stay. Hi, I’m Hernan from the Philippines and I will be commencing my graduate studies at Melbourne Uni by the end of February. I’m looking for a room to rent from Feb 23 to Jun 23, 2017 as I will be going home during the break. I am looking for a quiet, clean and secure place to stay, with a functional kitchen and laundry area. The place must be accessible to public transport going to Melbourne Uni or walking distance. I would be happy to share a house with like-minded people who might be busy with our own pursuits but would also enjoy occasional discussions or outings.I will be arriving in Melbourne on the 19th and will be able to come for a visit starting on the 20th. Thank you. More About Me I’m an engineer currently involved in renewable energy projects here in my country and will be studying the same field there for a year and a half. I am in my early thirties, enjoy exploring new places and will be happy to meet new people. I’m not sporty but I won’t say no to some hiking, climbing, biking and the likes. I have experienced sharing a room/house during my college years, so I know how to keep to myself or engage my housemates as needed. I’m respectful of other people’s space and able to clean up my own. I am also willing to share in the house chores if that’s the arrangement. I should be able to pay rent on time as I have a modest allowance from a scholarship, as long as it is within budget. Let me know if you have a nice place for a grad student like me. Thank you!
I am a very easy-going, respectful and fun housemate. I am very social and enjoy a beer with mates, I am courteous to the people around me, clean and responsible.
Hi all :) I'm looking for a new place to call home in the inner northern suburbs around April! I have recently returned from a big UK/Europe/ Japan overseas adventure and am starting an Arts Honours year at the University of Melbourne. I am currently working at an outdoor cinema. Ideally, I would like to start or become part of a three person share house. I have a lot of furniture and homewares - I am only really missing a washing machine and a TV. I have previously lived long-term in a four person share house, so I am very familiar with the dynamic. I would love to be part of a friendly, sociable household that enjoyed things like having a chat, watching a movie, drinking wine, and even occasionally cooking together! At the time, I would really value living with people who are clean, considerate and respectful of other people's space. I look forward to meeting you!
Hi my names Abbey. I have just started a new nursing position in Melbourne and wanting to move closer to work, currently living in the country now. Easy to get along with. On weekends I'm usually catching up with friends or visiting family back home.
Hello! We are a couple looking for flatmates while we are in Australia on Working Holiday Visas! Junghyun and I just got married in January in Hawaii. I'm an American (I didn't vote for Trump...) and I live in Hawaii. Junghyun is Korean and lives in Seoul. We are meeting in Sydney in May and would like to move into a place in Melbourne for June. This will be the first time that either of us has been to Australia and we are really looking forward to living and working and having a unique perspective on Australian life. I'm studying in Hawaii to become a teacher and Junghyun works in sales at Korea Telecom. Anyway, we are both laid back, happy people who love to meet new people and have a great time! We are responsible, clean, and courteous flatmates. We look forward to meeting you soon :) K+J
Hello. My name is Monique and I am 29 years old. I am a primary school teacher at a language school in Collingwood. When I am not working I love being active and outdoors. On the weekends I enjoy cycling along the Yarra or going to the Botanic gardens. When I can, I enjoy camping or hiking and I try to get away somewhere each year on my school holidays. On the weekends I enjoy heading out for a nice meal, going to markets or just relaxing at home watching movies and cooking. I am also hoping to take latin dancing classes this year!
Hi, I am an 22 years old master student from Germany. I am currently enrolled in the 3 years "Master of Construction Management" program at the University of Melbourne, so don´t worry about me moving out soon. I am easy going, clean and sociable... but I guess that´s what everybody writes about himself. I love to hang out with friends, to cook or to work out and I am always down for the occasionally glass of vino. If you have a spare room or you are interested in teaming up, shoot me a message so we can meet for a coffee or beer and see how we come along. Cheers, Paul
