Hi everyone, I'm Serene! I'm originally from Brisbane, but has spent a year in Melbourne for work. Opportunity has called again and I will be moving to Sydney in Jan 2019 for a management consultant position! I'm looking for a quiet new place where I can relax after work, though as someone new to Sydney, I'm also interested in meeting new people. Lifestyle-wise, I prefer low-key activities like going to the beach or visiting cafes or galleries. I'm big on tidiness--not OCD, and will not break out in hives if I see a pot plant out of place, but clean and organised is how I like things. I have a flexible and relaxed attitude towards chipping in for shared goods and helping around the house. You can expect timely rent payments, respect for your privacy and a friendly attitude towards different cultures from me. All in all, I'm after a chill environment, and a nice new home for my 2-year-old kitty cat by the name of Olive. Rest assured, she's potty trained and minds her own business, but she likes attention for hoomans so it's a bonus if you love cats! References (personal and professional) are available upon request. Would love to hear from you if you're in the inner city suburbs!
We've been living together for around 2 years now and sadly, one of our friends has decided to abandon us and move on. And so we have turned to flatmates to find us a new flatmate. We are fully house-trained. We are good fun, sociable and keep the place pretty clean. We like keeping things tidy but are not OCD about it. We like having our privacy but don't hole up in our rooms the entire day. We like coming home after a day at work and having someone to chat with or share some good food and wine with. We do have some epic weekend breakfasts. I like to read, bake and laugh at all the stupid things Duli comes up on a daily basis. You can also find him playing on his PlayStation, when he's not working. We have a nice rented house in Mount Waverley close to Jordanville station. If it sounds like we can live together, without killing each other just shoot me a message and I'll be in touch.
Another Brit in Aus on a Working Holiday. Clean, responsible, keep to myself (but equally happy to have a natter), and not much of a party goer. I work full time in Finance, but will be heading off to do some farmwork for my 2nd year visa in March, so only looking for around 6 weeks accommodation.
I am currently studying a Masters degree at the University of Melbourne. Ideally, I would like to find somewhere within walking/cycling distance to uni, but if not, proximity to public transport will be important. My current lease ends in mid-January, and my actual move date can be flexible around that period of time. I am a fairly quiet person who takes my study seriously, but I would love to find a home where my housemates can also be my friends. I enjoy cooking and trying new plant-based recipes, and am always in need of a taste tester and someone to share my creations with. I am a responsible, tidy housemate, who has lived in sharehouses with a number of other people in the past. I do my best to be considerate to humans, animals and the planet, and would love to find people who share similar values.
Im here as a student but working part time too. I'm a chilean software engineer. The next year I'm starting my 1 year diploma, and I want a better place to live. I have been working for the same company for the whole year. I'm tidy but also reasonable if someone is on a rush. I drink socially and I spend (waste!) most of my time in front of a computer. Most of the time I'm just eating wraps and salad, don't worry about smelly food.
I'm an Irish male moving to Melbourne in January 2019 looking for somewhere to live. I work in Recruitment, and have a job lined up in the CBD starting in February. In my spare time I hang out with friends, go to the gym, and plan to explore areas around the City and beyond. I'm also big into sports & music, and play the guitar (quietly!!) I'm looking to live within an easy commute to the City Centre, with laid back & friendly people. Dogs are a big plus!
I’m a relatively easing going person that maintains an organised and neat lifestyle. I am a qualified plumber by trade and in my spare time I enjoy exploreing the outdoors-camping-photography-fishing, and spending time with my friends and family. I am originally from Point Cook and am currently living in Altona North and in need of a new place that’s comfortable and close to work.
Hi there, my names Matt. I work in sales and also am a freelance photographer. I definitely need a change so moving to Melbourne is probably the best for me! I love to take photos, video edit and game. I have a miniature dachshund named Pablo who I absolutely adore!
I’m neat, tidy and very respectful of people’s personal space. However I’m very easy to get along with and love a laugh. I’ve been living in sharehouses since I was 18 so know exactly makes a good housemate.
I am looking forward to finding my next accommodation, a kind home with friendly people. I am a friendly, quiet lifestyle person who enjoys working with people in customer service retail 3-4 days per week. At the same time I’m utilising a new technique in my artworks (painting acrylics with water colour pencils) to sell them. Love it so much I have to make sure I have time to myself away from taking photos of spring blooms and trees for inspiration and my painting to have time off to relax! My interests vary from sci-fi/action movies and books, heading into city to check out art/food, drawing/painting small works. I like a bit of space sometimes to myself, other times like to chat. Am getting a bicycle, get fit and move around after sitting still doing artwork and exploring the bike paths of Melbourne. Look forward to meeting my new housemates :o)
I am moving from Brisbane to study a Masters at the University of Melbourne. The program is quite intense but I intend to work as a tutor or research assistant at the uni, as well as receive Centrelink payments. I have previously lived in a shared house with two other girls while working as a research assistant. I am very tidy and clean up after myself. I tend to keep to myself but definitely always up for a chat :) I am looking for a private room in a shared house with preferably all girl roommates (but I am flexible). I would also prefer a furnished room but, again, not required. Please let me know if you would like anymore details.
Hi. We're Bekah and Aisling, two girls currently living in Japan and moving to Melbourne at the end of December. We're from the UK (Scotland and England), and we're looking two bedrooms in a house share for the next 6 months, potentially longer. We're English teachers so likely to be pretty busy during the week, but happy to go out at the weekend for a drink (or two, or three). If the hangover permits, we also enjoying going to the beach, hiking and doing yoga. We enjoy our own time and respect that others do too, but are looking forward to getting to know our flatmates, either out exploring Melbourne or having a movie night at home with ample snacks. We are neat, clean easy-going individuals just looking for some other lovely humans to make a home with.
My names Jenna and I'm a 21 year old gal moving to Melbourne from the Gold Coast in early 2019. I've landed a job as a registered nurse and looking for a place to live! I'm a pretty easy going person who enjoys being active and travelling. I don't have any pets of my own however I am a huge animal lover. Although I enjoy socialising, I like having a homely space to be a tidy and peaceful place and I'm very respectful towards others and their belongings, and understand the need for personal space. Most of my week nights are pretty low key. Of a weekend I'm mostly out and about with friends, adventuring in mother nature. I'm not a partier, however I do enjoy a cheeky beverage or two at a local bar. I'm just chasing a place with some mellow vibes and good people :)
I’m Bridget originally from Chicago and moving to Melbourne on a working holiday visa in late January. I work at a cyber security startup in San Francisco and hoping to find similar work in Melbourne. I love playing sports and always up for new activities. On the weekends I like to have a couple friends over for a pregame before going out. Looking for a social roommate but not insane party animal as I’d like to get some sleep in too.
I am a very clean, great conversational and easy going person. I don't cook, but I'm fantastic doing the dishes. I will start my Master in Social Work in March at Monash, so I am looking for a place around South Yarra, Prahran, St. Kilda... I work as a journalist for a website about technology , science and other geeky stuff in general, like Marvel and GoT. I'm keeping my mexican "daytime" job, so I'll be working in my room ("the one" I'm looking for) from like 3 am till morning time in Australia and then go to school, come back to sleep and do it all again. On the weekends, I'll probably go out to dance salsa, bachata, kizomba and zouk.
Hey there future roomie/roomies! My name is Brooke, I’m 26, and I would like to think I'm a pretty cool chick. I'm originally from sunny San Diego, California and have traveled quite a bit in my time on spaceship Earth. With the urge to explore the planet I was offered the opportunity to help launch a company in a city I have always wanted to move to and I relocated about 3 months ago. I'm currently in Thailand until after New Years, being a digital nomad, and looking for a place to settle for the rest of my visa. My interests are pretty varied. I am a definite foodie so I think it's safe to say I will feel at home trying all Melbourne's fantastic cuisine. I also love going to see live music sets, vintage shopping, and long walks wondering the city, but also cuddling up with a glass of wine and watching Netflix with a friend. My schedule is rather flexible. I have an office space in Docklands, but I will also be working from home as well as trying out many cafes around the city to get my work done. I plan to travel a good bit so there will be weekends and weeks where I won't be at the house as well. :) I am a very respectful, get along well with others, and am used to sharing common spaces as well as keeping them tidy. Melbourne is still a new city for me, so I would love to move into a place where we can create a comfy home and have some adventures together!
Hi This is Ye. I've been in Melbourne for almost 10 months. Now I am a student studying Master's degree in the University of Melbourne.
