Hi all, my name is Linda and one could say that I am a bit of a wanderer & traveller trying this settling down thing for a while. I'm 26 years old, originally from Germany but have lived, studied and worked in 5 different countries in the last 6 years. And now Melbourne it is for definitely a longer period of time as I am now working here full time. I work in Marketing as a brand manager and am enjoying this new opportunity so far. This is not my first time in Melbourne, I have already lived here twice before for a total of 9 months and got to love this city and particularly South Yarra as a place to live. I am looking for a new place to live in South Yarra in a nice shared house/apartment with (a) nice housemate(s). I'd love to find a place with other people who do not only share a house/apartment but a home. A social environment where housemates have a chat over dinner or enjoy the occasional spontaneous movie night together would be ideal. I also love exploring the area and trying out the great variety of restaurants South Yarra & Chapel Street have to offer. At the same time, I also like my quiet time for myself and am not a big party person but do enjoy an occasional night out here and there with friends. I like being out and about, going to my Pilates classes, meeting new people (as I do not know a lot of people here yet) and exploring the city and its surroundings. Most of all I love the beach and hikes and can't wait for summer to arrive quickly :) I'm looking for a new-ish place with heating and air con and some sort of balcony/terrace/outdoor area. An own bathroom would be awesome if possible (not a must). I'm thinking about getting a car, so parking would be a plus but is not a must. Furniture would be helpful but also not a must. Having a good vibe in the apartment is much more important to me :) As I do have a place right now, my moving dates are somewhat flexible, ideally I'd look at late October, early November. Please reach out if you have a free room and share similar views on living together. I'd love to come and meet you and have a look at the apartment. Cheers, Linda
Born and raised in Melbourne. Full-time professional working for local government. I am clean, caring and respectful. I enjoy cooking, drawing, dancing, reading, music and movies. Looking for flatmates who are easy going and social.
I'm a 22 year old guy from Rotterdam, The Netherlands looking for a place to stay in Melbourne. I love football, travelling, going to the beach, gaming, and probably most of all; going for a few drinks with mates. I will be needing a place for at least 6 months, which could go up to 12 months. My move to Melbourne will be for a Dutch company I am working for, but the main reason I am choosing to start a new life on the other side of the world is because I want to meet new people and experience new things. I'm hoping to make my Melbourne time the experience of a lifetime and I hope whoever I end up living with can be a big part of that.
Pleasure to meet you, future roomie! I'm a former materials engineer from the USA and current ESL teacher on a 1-year work visa in Oz. I love travel, fitness, language, learning new things, and meeting new people. Ideally, looking for a houseshare with 3-4 outgoing folks who aren't afraid to make plans and help me stay busy. Indie music, cheesy humor, cheesy cooking, occasional house parties, and eccentrics are a big plus. Cigarettes and cats are a big minus (due to allergies). My budget caps out around $250 (although less is always welcome), and I'm hoping wherever I stay is near enough to bike to the CBD...so Inner East, Inner North, Inner West, and St. Kilda areas are all on the table (in rough order of preference). I'm currently in the CBD and hoping to move within the next week. If this all sounds good to you, DM me for a meetup, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon!
I moved to Melbourne 6 months ago from the Gold Coast. I am a qualified Plasterer and work for myself. I work most days and some weekends. I play guitar and like to surf, although now i'm living a bit further inland I spend most of my time exploring the music scene and whatever is happening around town. I do like to get away and camp or even day trips hiking. When the weather warms up i will probably be doing alot more weekend getaways down the coast. I like to be social but do like personal space too.
My name is Charly, I am 27 and from the south of England. I have been on an extended holiday in South East Asia before coming to Melbourne to work and live for a while. I am super excited to meet new friends from all over the world and share a house with great people I can call my friends. I am a clean and tidy person and always clean up after myself. We are new in Melbourne and looking for a flat ! We're an easy going couple, we don't smoke, don't drink and are tidy. We'll be in Melbourne the 20th of November and looking for long term. Garen and I will be working full time in the city. Preferably, we would like a flat with swimming pool and gym but we're open to all other options.
Hi So a bit about me, without writing an autobiography. I have Just moved to Australia from the UK. My work has taken me to some interesting countries, so am used to moving around. I visited Melbourne a couple of times before earlier in the year and decided this was a good place to move to, if only the 2nd most liveable city. Don’t worry, I’ll help you get your title back in 2019. I like to relax at home in the evenings, go for a run in the morning if there’s somewhere nice to do it. Don’t drink in the week, but happy to have a few beers on the weekend. Ideally having a housemate who I can chat with over a drink or a bit of food now and again. I can whip up a decent meal, alongside the odd epic failure. I’m a vegetarian, but have no worries if others eat meat. I generally get on with most people. I’m not the tidiest when I live on my own, but when sharing I make a way more concerted effort. Really like animals, cats or dogs or both. So no problem if you have pets, as long as dogs aren’t moulting all the time. Hope to find a great place to stop with a great roommate. Ideally Cremorne or Richmond, but South Yarra, Windsor, Saint Kilda also on the radar. Eventually I want my own place once I get more settled, but for some months, a shared place will be good. * Team-up option, if anybody is interested in the team-up option. I’m happy to rent a place and share with somebody I get on well with. Scott
My name is Sebastian. I am easy going, respectful, responsible and quite. I came to Australia because I want to improve my skills. I am humorous- I like good jokes. Hey guys, I'm Claire, 25 years old and looking for somewhere to move from late October/early November. I'm currently working as a Nutrition Scientist at Monash Uni (but will shortly be moving onto my PhD- dread!). I'm looking for a place to call home and not just somewhere to stay. I like to think I'm a positive, enthusiastic person who likes to keep things tidy and maintain respect for others and their space. Home is really important to me so I am hoping to find someone who also takes care of their living environment. Besides work, I have a few other side hustles that keep me pretty busy so I am out and about a fair bit. I'd like to establish a relationship with my future housemate/s ( I'm always down for brunch, Netflix and a cuppa (/wine)) but also be able to be independent, too :) Please don't hesitate to get in touch if it sounds like a good match! Claire.
I am an arty-farty creative working full-time in Graphic Design. Always keen for a drink and a game of FIFA on the playstation if you're keen! Easy going and house proud.
