Hey Melbournians what's up:) My Name is Yannik, I am a German, 25-years-old exchange student at Deakin University in Burwood, Melbourne starting in November. I am an open minded, tidy person who likes to travel and see as many places and meet as many people from the world as possible. I wanna have an awesome time during my time in Melbourne. So my focus is not the university^^ This is why I want to find a nice place to stay in the city centre and not on campus ;). About myself? I really love to go to bars, have 1, 2, 3 or more beers and have a great time with friends. Furthermore I am really interested in movies and tv series and sports in general. I try to go skiing once a year, played football (the football you really play with your feet;) ) and did crossfit before I left Germany. I have lived in a flatshare for more than 5 years in Germany and lived in a flatshare in the US, too. So I have experiences living in a flatshare. I would love to hear from you future neighbours 8) Cheers:)
Hi! I'm currently studying my last few months of Master of Engineering Management at Melbourne uni. I did my undergrad at UQ (Brisbane) and graduated in 2013. I'm a 25 y/o Australian permanent resident, originally from Indonesia. I need to move out from my current place on 31st December at the latest, so I would prefer to move in to a new place 1-2 weeks before that. I've lived in a college and a sharehouse before, so I'm not a stranger to communal living. I'm clean and responsible. You won't find me leaving dirty dishes in the sink for more than 10 minutes. My hobbies: trying out new restaurants, going out for drinks, playing video games, watching soccer/football, napping, and fiddling with audio gear. I'm an "extroverted introvert", which means I enjoy others' company but sometimes I just want to do my own thing. I'm currently looking for a place that's easily accessible by public transport. Budget around $150-$250 (still flexible). Please shoot me a message!
Hello future Flatmates, I'm looking for a nice, clean modern home with awesome flatmates. About me: 32 from Mexico, been living in Sydney for the past 3.5 yrs, just launched a small Advertising Agency, and recently landed an important contract here in Melbourne. I'm pretty easy going, clean, tidy, respectful, into fitness and health, have a good sense of humor, like going out for drinks and dancing. I'm looking to get settled in ASAP so please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Thanks! Enrique
I'll be beginning my Masters of Clinical Audiology at the University of Melbourne in 2017, I'll still be working part-time, and am a 2nd dan black belt who teaches and trains in taekwondo. I am looking for a place preferably closer to the city and uni and for new housemates (1 or 2 max) who either want to hunt for a place with me or have found somewhere already and need an extra housemate. I don't have any pets, but I love them so I'm cool with yours. I'm very house proud but am by no means a homebody and when I'm not at work, uni or catching up with friends, I can usually be found out in my kayak, on my bike, at the dojang or going for a run which you would always be welcome to join me at but I won't force you too! When I'm at home, I'm quite neat (and I hope for my housemates to be the same), I'm a good cook, and do enjoy getting to share a meal with others. I love a good chat, intelligent or silly, and a household full of laughter. I believe home should be a positive and happy place and not a place where everyone goes and hides in their room at the end of the day without talking. I do however believe everyone needs their own quiet time and I am respectful of that but I will always put a good book down to chat and be social instead. :) I'm more experienced living with guys however your gender, sexual orientation, race, favourite colour, football team or star sign all hold no bearing on your suitability as a housemate to me. The only thing I ask is that you have a positive attitude and are the type of person who is easy to get along with and inclusive of others regardless of their differences. I have most things needed for a household inc. everything needed for a kitchen, a comfy couch, washing machine, coffee machine, large flat-screen telly, linen, towels, an iron etc. I don't need to bring everything with me (some of it is currently in storage already) however I definitely do not want a bedroom that is already furnished as it would not feel like home to me without my own. I am not picky when it comes to finding a place (ok, shower curtains creep me out!) however, I do have a car and a kayak so a place that has secure parking and somewhere safe to keep my bike is essential. I am also avoiding apartments that do not have built in laundry facilities and require the use of a communal/ coin laundry if it can be helped. Before contacting me please make sure your listing has the following requirements: Off-street parking, unfurnished private room, non-couples, no more than 2 additional housemates. Thank you.
Hey, I've just moved over to Melbourne from London. I'm massively into sports and music so ideally looking for flatmates with similar interests. I'm looking to spend some time exploring the city but it would also be good if my flatmates were also up for any social activities etc. Any questions, just let me know!
Hey guys! We are a friendly Irish couple looking for a place to rent near the st kilda area at the end of October. We are both on a year working visa looking to stay 3 months or upto a year (see how it goes). We will be working full time while enjoying what Australia has to offer on our time off. We are reliable, easy to get along with, clean and tidy and like to cook (and drink occasionally) ha. Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from you :)
Hello, we are young couple who just moved to Melbourne for work. We are easy going, friendly people who like good food, wine and music. We love to make new friends while staying in Melbourne. We are neat and respectful. We are looking for a place where we can rest after work and socialize.
Very Easy going , calm and a very clean person to live with . I don't mind pets or couples but other than that I am looking for an all female share only. I am very friendly and not fussy at all.
I'm relatively new to Melbourne (from Brisbane), currently looking for a new home. I work full time, including some nights, in events/marketing in Brighton. I'm looking for somewhere furnished (bedroom can be unfurnished), although would love to add to the home as I go! My interests include socialising over delicious food & wine, music, fashion and Yoga. I tend to be relatively busy, so like to keep tidy and organised. I'm currently very much invested in my job and like to be at the gym or seeing friends for coffee or a cocktail in between. Eager to meet more wonderful Melb people and establish a beautiful, relaxed, fun place to live.
Hello, great to (virtually) meet you! We're looking for a flat for the next few months, before visiting family in NSW for Christmas. I'm Jordy, a magician from Melbourne, and my girlfriend is Jade, who works in the recruitment industry. Now we've done the intros, what makes us great to live with?... We love meeting people, keep the apartment clean and enjoy exploring new places. Being self confessed foodies it'd be great to cook a meal for the flat, or try out a new restaurant together. And as an added bonus we're not an awkward couple, so it'd be like living with two friends. Looking forward to finding out about yourself and potentiality living with you 🙂
hey guys!! I'm from the UK and here on a working holiday visa! I've already done the travelling part and are here to stay in Melbs for the year (fingers crossed it'll be permanently!!) I'm outgoing, sociable, respectful, independent and considerate! I love getting out and doing things, and prefer not to be stuck inside! I'm really easy going and keen to get out of my hostel asap because it's driving me insane!!
Hi I'm Jonny, I'm 23, Irish, I'm in Sydney moving to Melbourne, I work as a cabinet maker and I've already got a job secured for when I get to Melbourne, I'm clean and tidy, I'm socialable, reliable, always pay rent and bills on time. I'm moving to Melbourne on the 29th of October, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask,
I am super chilled to live with. Get on with anyone and I'm clean! I spend most of my time either working or in the gym/playing sports. My main aspiration on arriving back in Melbourne is to create a successful business for myself so that is mainly what I intend to be doing and working on! If you have any questions ask away! Adam
Hi there, I'm Benji! I am 27 and I'm currently working full time at a high school in Camberwell as an admin staff and general tech whiz! I'm also studying part time on the weekends to be a dog trainer, my course ends in January next year. I've just been told by my landlord that she will be demolishing the property I've been living at for the last 4 years and I need to find new accommodation before December 27th (merry Christmas, y'all!). I would be like to be out by the end of November ideally, but happy to work with you on a date depending on the property. I'm also pretty easy on location, so long as I can get to work in Camberwell in under an hour, I'm stoked! A bit about me: I love animals. I have two dogs named Squish and Nibbler. Squish is a 4 year old male Rottie X and Nibbler is a 2 year old female Kelpie X. They are both desexed, have been obedience trained, crate trained and I take them for regular walks. They are the dynamic duo and A-team! Squish will do anything for a treat and Nibbler lives for the ball, so they're good fun! I would also be bringing a 3 foot aquarium with me, but would be happy to keep it in my room if there isn't space elsewhere. It's a tie between coffee and TV for my drug of choice. I also love art, music, books, comics and Game of Thrones! I also like to build things...for example, I built a dog bunk bed and a couple of film sets (spaceships!) I'm currently living in a fully furnished house with all the trimmings, so if you think I could add anything of value to your house as well, I'd be happy to oblige! The rest will likely end up in the skip or in storage. Things like: 3 plasma TVs, stainless steel fridge, bar fridge, Nespresso machine, washing machine, vacuum, SEVERAL couches, desk, dining room table and chairs, lawn mower, whipper snipper, lots of tools, a media centre pc and several terabytes of movies and TV shows! I have lived in houseshares before and would like some people I can hang out with, though I am respectful of other people's space. I clean up after myself and, obviously, my dogs. I'm pretty easy going, so hit me up if you think you'd like to meet me and my pooches!
Hey, we're Sam and Leanne and we are both over here on our working holiday visas. We have both been travelling around for the last 5 months and are now looking to settle in to Melb and work! Hello! I'm looking for a new home for long term, 6 months + in November and the date is negotiable. I'm full-time employed and always busy, when I'm at home I'm pretty chill and need some down time, so I can't afford living in a party house but do enjoy the dinner gatherings, and don't mind your friends come over for that, just not a party house. I'm very clean and tidy, friendly and open-minded. I like to social when I'm around. I'm into travelling, movies, music, sports, photography, arts, food, coffee and cats :) I am happy to share the household as I like to keep the house clean, I'm looking for the liked -mind housemate who is clean and tidy and knows how to respect others in a shared house. Ideally I could live with the similar age housemates 28+ respectful individuals. Reliable and honest, pay rent on time. Conscious of the wastage of the energy. No party house, no drama please. Clean and tidy, happy to join the household. Independent, share when I/you want to, no stalkers, no nannies. Don't mind smokers but no smoking in the house. Open-minded, love multi- cultural, LGBT friendly, 40+ friendly. Pastry chef, occasional sweet treats :) Cat lover, meow in the house is very welcome! Feel free to PM me, thank you!
I'm very friendly easy to get along with, but don't have many friends here in Melbourne so would be nice to meet some new people. I'm enthusiastic about food and cooking and try to cook most evenings if I can. I'm very neat and clean, clearing up any mess as I go along - no need for fortnightly massive cleaning sessions with me around! I am very respectful of other people and their space, possessions, privacy etc, so at the very worst, I would just be easy to live with.
I'm Graham, I'm an Irish lad over here for a year on a working holiday. I'm pretty easy going and enjoy having a few casual beers with my mates. Big fan of good food so I'm enjoying trying out all the great food Melbourne has to offer at the moment and also like watching sport.
I'm originally from the Perth, and I'm here in Melbourne to study at university. I am a clean and organised person; I enjoy studying at the university libraries and in my room and I like my own space- so I will definitely respect your space as well. I do however like to be social from time to time- I enjoy listening to people, I like to bake and cook, play on the piano and recently I've gotten into yoga and running around Princes Park! I'm also collecting succulents at the moment! I'm a vegetarian (but not really strict, because I still eat fish from time to time). Though I am still in my teens, I assure you that I am more mature than my age and that I'm not interested in hosting parties or drinking until I get drunk.
Hi guys, I'm looking to relocate to the Prahran/South Yarra/Richmond area to be closer to work. I'm clean, considerate, have lived overseas previously. I'm always up for a laugh, meeting new people or doing something challenging or spontaneous. I also like reading, meditation, and other quiet things. I'm an analyst at a financial services firm.

Hi there, My name is Sharla and I am keen on finding a place but also starting a sharehouse with 2 other people around the inner east areas! I work in special education with children who have disabilities and study part time at Monash Uni. My lease has currently ended and I'm looking for somewhere else to live. Ideally i'd like a spacious room that is light filled and has built in wardrobes. I like to keep the living space clean and tidy as well as being mindful of other housemates. I love having dinners and friends over but enjoy my own downtime watching netflix and chilling out. I'm also opening to starting a new place with people around the same age as me, although I don't have much furniture to bring. Please let me know if you think I'd be a good fit for your house! :) Sharla
Hello, nice to meet you! My name is David and I´m 29 years old. I just moved to Melbourne and looking for a place to stay in a long term. I am working and studying part time – pretty busy week but love to chill out on the weekends or get out for a few drinks and whatever else the city has to offer. I am a very active and easy going person looking for a place to call home.
Im new to Melbourne, originally from the UK and looking to stick around a while as I have just got a job in the CBD full time. Ive lived in a few house shares and like to be social with house mates most of the time. Easy going and well house trained. Spend most of my free time out and about or relaxing watching to/sport, cooking, playing football, cycling etc. Get in touch!
I'm into health and fitness and good vibes. I do enjoy socialising but also enjoy time to myself (as does everyone) . Clean and happy and will meal prep for you for money off rent 😂 Haha!
Hello! Me and my boyfriend are looking for an apartment/room in Docklands, CBD, North Melbourne, Southbank. I work full time and I would like to live close to the Southern Cross Station (or in a place with good connection/walking distance to Southern Cross Station). We're both easy going, respectful and friendly. We love to celebrate our life by cooking, travelling, drinking beer etc. but only on the weekends :) From Monday to Friday we are hard workers :) We need the place as soon as possible- we're fed up with living in the hostels:) We need a place which we can call home with great flatmates.
Hey! My name is Diana and I am doing my master thesis at Monash University/Alfred Health next semester. I am currently studying to become a pharmacist in Uppsala, Sweden. I would love to share an apartment with some warm and friendly people. On my spare time I like to play roller derby, dance and cook food with friends.
FLEXIBLE WITH MOVE DATE AND LOCATION :) Also, I have pets! Hi potential roomies! My name is Liv; a 26 year old female, working full time and studying Nutrition via distance. About me; I enjoy seeing live music, finding new cafes and eating my way across Melbourne, day trips to the Dandenong Ranges to immerse myself in nature and walking my pocket sized pooches through all of the beautiful parks Melbourne has to offer! I've had over 5 years of experience living in share house arrangements (in other words, I know to empty the bin when it’s full and to put a new roll of toilet paper on when the existing roll has run out!) Ha, but in all seriousness, living in share houses for this long has meant that I am very considerate, very open minded and respectful of others privacy/separate lives. I’m very clean and I take a lot of pride in the house environment. I love homewares and interior decorating- on a budget- (so much love for Kmart!!). I’m fairly easy going and social, so I don’t mind if you have friends over for a couple of drinks on the weekends. More technical stuff: I have a car so I’d need somewhere (free) to park. I have furniture that I can bring if needed (lounge, dining set, fridge, washing machine, hallway/side tables, kitchen utensils/appliances/crockery) and my own bedroom furniture. I would like a large sized room that comfortably fits queen bed, desk, bed side tables and has a built in wardrobe. I would prefer unlimited internet so I’d be happy to set this up and split costs with housemates or chip in to any existing plan. I’m not in a huge rush to move as I would prefer to wait until I find the perfect fit (house and housemates) so I’m fairly flexible with moving dates as I can stay with my folks in the meantime. I'm not too picky on suburb- somewhere East or South East of Melbourne that isn’t too far from the city (e.g 20 minute drive) with nice walking tracks. I come as a "package" as I have pets (2 teeny tiny dogs and 1 cat). The dogs are tiny (the type that you could fit in your hand bag) however they aren’t small yappy dogs. They are toilet trained indoor dogs however are allowed outside when I am home. They are walked almost everyday however are just as happy to snuggle up together on my bed and wait for me to get home. They are both very clean and go to the dog groomers every 6 weeks (Boo doesn’t lose any hair, Ruby loses minimal). They are very happy little dogs that simply LOVE people and are always happy to be on someone’s (generally, anyone’s!) lap getting attention! My cat Dexter is an indoor/outdoor cat (not allowed outside when it is dark). He is petrified of other cats so I cannot take him into a house where there were existing cats. Although he is scared of other cats, he loves dogs. I can provide rental references for the pets! About YOU; I am looking for friendly and social housemates (with experience living in share houses), who are happy to have a chat/laugh when we cross paths and share the odd glass of wine together. HOWEVER I am also a very independent person that appreciates time to myself- so suitable housemates would be respectful of eachothers space. Suitable housemates must LOVE animals and be happy to let my dogs outside to the toilet (if you’re home and I’m not). Suitable housemates would also be clean and share house jobs (rotating rosters have worked well in the past!). I have always lived with strangers who have ended up friends and I see myself living with like-minded people who wish to make a house a home- if I sound like someone you would like to live with, please get in touch :)
I work full time and occasionally in hospitality. In my time off, I like to exercise, shop, cook, catch up with friends and occasionally go out. I'm always happy and easy going - no fuss at all. When it comes to living arrangements I'm clean, quite independent and respectful of others space. Love to have a good chat and hang out!!
Hi! I'm 25 and work in advertising, just moved to Melbourne from Auckland NZ. I'm currently working in SouthBank, and ideally looking for somewhere close to public transport etc. I keep it low key during the week, and kept pretty busy with the gym & work. Enjoy a wine or two on the weekends, and pretty easy going. Looking for someone ideally around the same age, female, who is on the same level as me. I'm tidy, respectful and like to live in a clean household. Let me know if you're interested! Thanks, Bekah
