I'm an American trying to find my way back into the inner-inner west (please don’t message for places that are not inner-inner west). I have yet to give my notice at my current location, which is 3 weeks, so the place I'm looking to move into needs to be available around the second week of December. At a glance: - $280/week budget (all bills in this) - Inner inner west/inner city, <30 mins to Central by public transit, with walking time - preferably furnished - ZERO interest in boarding houses. Prefer the person I’m renting from also live in the same place. - absolutely must be pest-free and clean (old is fine!!) - private room only (this shouldn’t have to be said but sadly it seems I need to explicitly say it) - move in during early-mid December I keep to myself for the most part but I'm social enough that you won't worry about there being a dead body in the room and I'm certainly open to recapping the week over a wine or tea, I clean up all my messes (and I have too much experience cleaning up other people’s messes), and I always pay rent on time. Heck, even early if I can't pay on the scheduled day. I just won't suit a large sharehouse full of early 20s. I find things tend to stray into chaos when there's more than 3-4 unrelated people living under one roof... but it’s not necessarily a dealbreaker if the house is big. But I am NOT looking for a boarding house. I prefer to actually be renting from the people I'm living with, or be put on the lease with them. Currently I live with a married couple, renting a room in their recently acquired apartment. It's new and snazzy but it's expensive and in a sad, bleak part of Sydney. They have been great to live with (the best people I've ever rented from), but I need to find a cheerier suburb. My budget is listed as 280--for me this means all up, all bills, up to 280/week. Additionally, as I am a foreigner, I would GREATLY prefer a furnished place, at least just with a double/queen bed--I don't want to be stuck trying to sell off furniture. I am NOT interested in bleak, gray, apartment-centric suburbs. Thanks for reading and lemme know if what you've got fits! PS: Feel free to ask me about the time I used to live in Glebe with a hoarder who managed to infest the house with fleas while we had no pet. I noped out of that fast and lost so much money in the process. It would explain to you how much of a legend flatmate I am and my perseverance in times of adversity. But really, please, no bug infestations.
Hi, I'm Johannes, 26 years old, and will move to Sydney in December as part of my Phd Program in Neuroscience. I'm from Cologne, Germany, and will study at UWS for at least 6 months. I am looking for a place to stay but would also love to make some new friends. I've lived in a few shared flats for the last years and always had a great time. Cooking sessions or the odd beer would be very much appreciated! :) My hobbies are sports (bouldering & football), music (guitar), cooking, traveling and socialising with friends. I like animals and I don't smoke, but am okay with living with smokers as long as they don't smoke in the house. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more!
I keep things clean, have an awesome personality and always up to hang out with new people. I am studying music so I would rather live with people who are okay with music being played regularly and being okay with jamming every now and then. ***Not looking for a Place until late Dec/Jan***
Hi everyone! I'm easy going and always clean up after myself. I usually keep to myself but am always happy to chat. I love animals, particularly dogs so I'm fine if you have a pet. I'm an IT student from Melbourne looking for a place to stay somewhere in Sydney for the rest of my internship (12 January to 12 February). Hope to hear from you :D
Hello! I am Eleanor. I will shortly be moving back to Australia after a few years overseas and am looking for a new place to call home. I am a professional and work Monday - Friday, clean up after myself and will always buy more toilet roll! Not interested in shared rooms thank you – I think I sometimes mutter in my sleep and don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.
Hi, I'm a very quiet and sunny Italian girl. I love company but I also love privacy. I am a very respectful person of the spaces of others and I love living in peace and tranquility. In my free time I like reading a book or walking in the park, I do not like nightlife, I prefer a glass of wine and good company.I'm busy with two jobs so I'll spend little time at home, but I'm present for every kind of help or collaboration.
Hi there, I'm looking for a room in a shared place in the inner west of Sydney. I don't mind if you're black, blue, taller than me, fat, hairy, bald or even white. It doesn't matter, really. But if you think Trump is a great bloke, I'd rather stay where I am now. Same if the place is on Paramatta road. My housemate skills are top notch which means I'm able to empty my plate with almost everything ending in the bin. I also flush the toilet after me a decent amount of times if not all the times. Being french, I barely wash myself and I'm gonna rip you off instead of paying my rent! More seriously, I work full time, like doing heaps of things, sometimes out and about, sometimes in. I definitely like to have a chat every now and again. Also the room needs to be big enough to fit a digital piano (don't worry, your ear buds will be preserved as I practice with headphones). Feel free to shoot a message!
Im looking for a quite place. Im very tidy and I like everything clean. Im a student with a part-time job. I'm enjoying to listen music and go to the beach.
Born and raised in Sydney, young photographer and in general a lover and participant of the creative arts such as music, fashion, visual arts and more. I have a pet dog, she's about 10 years old and can be quite anxious but overall she is kind. I like to have fun and party the night through though I am still respectful of other peoples needs and schedules. I am comfortable with living with women and LGBT+ people, and I especially hope I get to live with other cool creatives. I'm also a vegan, but I'm still okay with living with people who aren't. All that I mostly require is a room big enough for a desk, an iMac and my photographic equipment, as well as other essentials. I'm looking for a home anywhere between Enmore and Paddington. Other than that, my only other hobby is DJing and playing music. Hit me up if I'm your guy!
I'm a paramedic student looking to move into the inner west early next year after living in the blue mountains my whole life. Im easy going, very relaxed and love a chat. i will probably spend the weekends at the beach or relaxing at home. Im considerate and enjoy a tidy house. I enjoy being social and am happy to relax with wine at the end of the day! I do have a small dog, a pug named Pippa, I would love to bring her with me but I am also able to leave her at my parents house if the property isn't suitable for her.
100% local, born and raised in Sydney. I'm organised and pay on time, friendly, respect privacy but love to have a chat to get to know people better, willing to share workload around the house, and I always wash my dishes straight after eating... I'm actually a bit of a clean freak :P I've lived by myself for extended periods multiple times, and I've only broken 2 plates in my entire life. I love quiet nights in and just working on my online business at the moment, and I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I prefer a peaceful and quiet place with no distractions so I can focus on my work. My work relies heavily on the internet so need a place with a constant and stable connection. Few things to note: 1. I'd like to meet the roomates I'll be living with, I prefer people who are understanding and are able to respect people's privacy, and are super positive people! :) 2. I need the internet connection as my work relies heavily on a stable and fast connection 3. I need a private and quiet space which is 2m by 2.5m where I can setup a home office to take calls between 7am and 7pm on weekdays and sometimes weekends. (so also please consider the noise I might make) 4. My routine is 5am-11pm everyday (yep even on weekends), most of the time I'll doing quiet computer work 5. Set expectations right from the beginning PS. I have a pressure cooker and that's all I use to cook.
I love good food and company, I enjoy cooking and I'm very into clean spaces. I am an actor and playwright, social but definitely keep a low profile through the week as I'm usually busy with creative pursuits/rehearsals/hospo jobs. I'm a reliable, relaxed and down to earth person. I'm not a pet owner but I get along with dogs and cats swimmingly.
Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a new place to live that's a little closer to where I work to cut down my traveling time. I work Full time evening shift in the Digital Printing industry and have great job security. I'm 25 years old and enjoy spending my days off relaxing at home watching a good movie, spending time with friends / house mate having a good chat, cooking food occasionally I will fit in a weekend job as a freelance Photographer and when I can be bothered I get in some exercise. I'm respectful , polite, tidy and will always pay my rent on time.
Hey there!! I'm an American backpacker currently on a gap year before I attend university in 2018 back in the States. I'm visiting Australia on a working holiday, and as of writing this am travelling down the well-beaten backpacking trail from Cairns to Sydney! I'll first end up in Sydney at around the middle of November, where after a couple of days to decompress I'll start looking for jobs and a place to live if I haven't found one yet! I should have a couple of weeks left on my bedhopper hostel pass to get me through to the very beginning of December. I plan on working over the summer from approximately the end of November to the middle of March, and it's during those three-to-four months of time that I'm looking for somewhere to stay. I'm looking to bartend ideally (although if push comes to shove I'm not picky), so I might come home at odd hours (although I'll absolutely be as quiet and respectful of your sleeping schedule as is humanly possible). I'm primarily looking to save heaps of money over the summer with access to an amazing city to explore (hence why I'm trying to beat the odds and do so in Sydney as opposed to a cheap town somewhere), so I won't be keen on more than the odd night out, which would make me a pretty easy-going and low-maintenance, albeit nocturnal, roommate. Would be much more a fan of board games and drinks on a night in with friends. I'm also trying to learn to cook as best as I can (that's one of my summer goals!), so if you're good with trying a variety of potentially-terrible-but-hopefully-brilliant dishes and dealing with strange smells as I furiously clean the kitchen to get rid of them as I get better at my craft, we'll make a wonderful team :) I consider myself a very clean, chill, and diligent person that would make a lovely addition to practically any group as long as you're keen to have me. My preferences with regards to roommates are around the ages of 18-25ish, clean, looking to talk and hang out (I'd love to be your friend especially considering my social contact is limited to other transient backpackers and my 14-time-zone-away friends at home), and respectful. I'm one of the most laid-back people you'll ever meet for 99% of things, and flexibility is also something that I appreciate in others. Bonus points if you're into indie rock, scary movies, or romantic comedies as those are my three culture passions! Otherwise--I'm a cat lover, wannabe writer, music maniac, budding globetrotter, tea fanatic, and avocado addict who would love to meet you and see if I fit into your place!

*(FYI: Just here for research at the moment, not looking to move until March 2019)* I'm a "late 30-something" man/guy/dude who is looking to move in March 2019. I work full time for a trade union, Mondays to Fridays, doing the 9-5 thing and like having low key evenings at home although don't mind the occasional movie/pub meal during the week. I like going to the party rather than bringing it home, although I do like entertaining friends over dinner or drinks at home. I'm clean, tidy, hygienic, and am not (currently) hosting any alien plagues/beings. I'm reliable and responsible with rent/bills/groceries/dishes/taking the bins out, etc. I'm also sociable and funny, and don't mind having a chin wag but also like my own space and quiet time. I love cooking (when I'm not exhausted) and sharing a meal once in a while. I'm all about personal responsibility, mutual respect, and open communication between housemates and would like to live in a place i call home rather than just rent a room in a house. Most importantly, I am house-trained and not a dickhead.
Open minded, respectful, quiet and simply like people, generally. Have a passion for the arts (enjoy my piano) and like a good movie or show. Am excited about finding a new hobby. Employed as a fundraiser. Originally a New Zealander though grew up in Perth, been around Sydney for a while. Wish to broaden my horizons and embark on a new chapter
Really friendly open minded individual. I spent some years abroad and enjoy good conversations. I'm also very funny and quiet clean. I'm happy to be as friendly or as distant as my room mates need, and always willing to help out when i can. 22 years old, Full time worker, in the CBD. I spent my weekends either sleeping, going to the gym or going on hikes with my friends
I've recently moved back to Sydney so I'm just starting to put the feelers out to start up a house with lovely peeps. I have most of the things required to set up a house (kitchen stuff etc) so now just need the peeps to start looking with :) I’m a very young at heart 40 y/o…I still can’t believe I’m 40 ;)…with the experience of 20 years renting. I am mature/responsible where it counts, and also fun loving; enjoying ‘sensible silliness' as well as chilling at home ;) I play guitar/ukulele/bass, love camping and going to festivals, love board games, watching docos as well as bad and good movies/t’v shows. I am looking to live in a clean and respectful home with people who are happy to socialise and share a meal every now and then, but also happy to have down time and our own space. As I have a fair bit of camping stuff, I look for houses with a garage so there is heaps of storage space, and as I like my 'things' books/crystals/trinkets/decor items etc, I need a decent sized bedroom. I have an adorable cat who is very affectionate and is used to people and/or other animals (including dogs) to keep him company. I am open to where I live in Sydney. It would be great to be in the inner west if the right place comes up for a decent price, but also happy to live on the outskirts too. Let me know if you're keen to look for something, hopefully with a third person. I am very flexible as to when I can move. Cheers xx
I am a primary school teacher moving to Sydney for full time work. I’m very friendly and out going during the week I’m pretty quiet at home or out doing sport and on the weekends I’m keen to hang out :)
