I've just moved to Sydney from the UK so am looking to move in to a nice house share with sociable and friendly people. I'd like to live in a house with people who are happy to hang out (seeing as I'm a newbie here!) but I do have other friends in the city, so I don't need babysitting! I'm clean, tidy and respectful of other people's space and belongings. I enjoy a drink or two (or three) but am past the point where I want to live in a crazy party house. I want to make the most of living in Sydney, so will hopefully be out and about as much as funds will allow, but will no doubt want to spend the occasional evening curled up in front of the TV watching some trash. I'm on a working holiday visa but am hoping to be staying in the city for around 6-12 months, depending on work.
The short about me: - 27 - Grew up in hunter - Don't smoke or take any drugs - I feel like I'm filling out an online dating profile, is height important? The place I'm looking for: - Space for queen bed and side tables, extra room would be a bonus - Near a train station or ferry (within 15mins walk, I'm a fast walker). For the perfect place and housemates this may not be a deal breaker. - Off street or very easy, non timed street parking as my car will only really get used on weekends. - Private, unfurnished room (sorry if this is obvious as it's in the filters but I keep getting messages about shared rooms...room sharing is definitely not something I'm open to) - I'm not a huge TV person so a place where I'm expected to pay the Foxtel bill isn't something I'm keen for...but I do have Netflix and do binge occasionally. Not deal breakers but preferable: - Air conditioning - Gas cooktop (electric cooktops always fail me) - Built in wardrobe The person/people I'd like to call roomies: - over their party years but still sociable - Reasonably clean and tidy but not pedantic - Gender and sexuality are not important. I have just as many male friends as I do female and friends/acquaintances from all ends of the LGBTI spectrum. - Considerate and respectful of private space but also happy to socialise - Preferably 'professionals' but likemindedness is more important - I prefer to live with only one or two people, makes bathroom and kitchen sharing easier The super long about me: I decided I needed a lifestyle change back in August so started applying for jobs in Sydney CBD...picked up one much faster than I expected. I live in the Hunter and commute to my job on York St as an Office Manager of an insurance brokerage and law firm...every day. Super ready to find a place closer than 2.5 hours to work! Obviously, having grown up in the Hunter, I love a glass of wine. I'm not a huge party animal but am fairly sociable, much more of a bar person than clubs. On a weeknight you're most likely to find me with a cup of tea (or glass of wine) chilling, maybe with some calm music softly or something nerdy on TV. I'm not a massive homebody, enjoy getting out even if it's just a walk to the park. Having been commuting for 14 weeks I've missed cooking so much. If you don't mind a bit of gluten free food perhaps we can share the occasional meal. I'm a coeliac but do not expect housemates to be pedantic about this, I have my own toaster to avoid being 'glutenated' but other than that I'm not fussy. I eat fairly healthy and like to be a little fit. However, my commute has taken 5 hours from my life a day...I miss getting to the gym but I'm not a super fitness fanatic, never had a girly six pack in my life and watching me run would be comedy show worthy. I currently have a house full of furniture and appliances so if you've a housemate moving out and taking essential furniture items I can likely replace them. My older brother has just moved back after a decade in the U.K. so he's happy to take whatever I don't need.
Hi there! My names Vicca, a 26 yr old Professional working in Sydney CBD. Currently living at Wolli Creek looking for similar area to live which is close to public transport. When i'm not at work I'll be at the gym or working at my second job. Looking to move in with like-minded people and preferably not with a couple. Hey there, I'm an outgoing, social, respectful and approachable person with a good sense of humour and positive outlook on life. I'm proactive, clean and tidy but also enjoy a lazy Sunday. I'm looking for some easygoing, social and friendly people to move in with who can respect one another's privacy, while can also be keen for a chat, dinner or even a few drinks. I am in events and marketing and work in the CBD Monday-Friday. Sometimes I travel for work during the week or on the odd weekend! Can't wait to hear from you! :)
I moved to Sydney on my own 4 years ago and defiantly know how to pull my own weight around the house. I am a teacher with 2 cats and would love to move in with someone who is respectful and independent somewhere near the ocean ✌🏻️ I also have quite a bit of furniture if someone was interested in a teamup and getting a new place :)
I moved to Sydney in April from WA and absolutely love it over here. I've been in share houses in a few places already and love meeting new people and have met some awesome people along the way. I'm a very active person and I'm out surfing most days so looking for a place that's walking distance to the water. I'm quite low key at home and love to cook or chill out and mainly just sleep. Absolutely love pets if you have them! If you have a place I'd love to come check it out and meet you (I think it's very important to get along with those you are living with) - just send me a message! :)
Relocating from Northern Ireland to work in Sydney on a permanent basis. I'm a dream housemate and a non-smoker. I'm very socialable, clean and tidy. I enjoy the outdoors and sporting activities. I want to meet new people and I feel living with housemates will be a great start. Please note I am unable to live in a property with dogs.
I'm chill and fun to live with. Just finished job in Singapore in October and ready to move to Australia to get myself some fresh air and beach view. This time I am on my working holiday visa unlike in Singapore were working full time. This means I have more chances to discover the city, hopefully:) I don't smoke. But I drink, eat, dance:) Prefer house with fully equipped kitchen since I love making food at home (usually party outside but if allow party at home would be nice, can make small food for ppl) To let me choose in between private room and tidy kitchen, probably go for later one. Read till here sounds like this girl is a kitchen freak:p Not to disappint you, I do have life outside kitchen. Always love meeting new friends, hanging out in the city, participating in different types of events or somewhere else together:) Yet like-minded friends gather in the house would be the best thing ever. I am quite relax even if we are different type. We will figure out a way living together :) Do message me if you have a similar item like what is written here. Cheers.

Hey kids, I'm looking for a place close to virgin active- a bit of a stretch so I would also consider anywhere else with hot water and good coffee within a 500m radius (also, probably pushing it). I love dogs, brunch and laughing at my own jokes. I am a bit of a tomboy so bonus is I spend minimal time in the bathroom and I can fix stuff (no guarantee it won't fall apart again). I generally like to live an active and healthy lifestyle but also.. donuts. I'm quiet and get up super early during the week but always down for a bender come Friday I am pretty clean and tidy, always down for a good chat - unless it's exam time- please don't talk to me unless it's to ask if I want food. I'm well sharehouse trained and mindful of others' privacy and downtime.
