My Name is Julian, I'm 26 years old and I'm studying psychology at the University of Wuppertal, Germany. From March to August 2018 I'll be in Newcastle for an internship at the Priority Centre for Brain & Mental Health Research at the University of Newcastle. Since I'm not fan of facebook, I don't have an account there but try describe myself here a little bit. I've allready lived in some flat-sharing communites in several cities (Regensburg, Berlin, Halle, Wuppertal, Rostock) in Germany from a two-people flat up to four. I think I'm not that complicated as a flatmate (but who doesn't think that of him- or herself? ;) ), until today all problems could be solved with some talk about it. I really like to live with people, it gets me a warm feeling to come to my place and there is the possibility to meet some of my flatmates who is telling me about her or his day. I think this is because I come from a family with five people. Also I really like to discover new things, places, sports, interests, music, stage plays or something else. Just staying curious. I like doing some stuff together in a group like cooking, sports (jogging e.g.), playing card- or board games (of which I could bring some) or watching a movie. Likewise I can leave everybody the space that is needed and I'm also happy to have some my place of retreat sometimes. The precise working times of my internship aren't clarified till now but as my supervisor mentioned I won't have to work too much. Because I'm not a native english speaker (but everytime happy to learn something new :) ), just ask if there are any unclear passages in my text. I'm looking forward to get in touch with you soon :) Best regards, Julian
I'm a Registered Nurse employed by John Hunter Hospital on a full time basis. I currently work Monday-Friday. I own a 5 month old golden retriever named River (who is toilet trained). On weekends I enjoy going to the beach and for hikes with friends and my dog. I like to keep my living space clean, am respectful of the privacy of others, love a busy lifestyle and am financially stable. House would need to be dog friendly and with a secure backyard.
Young, fun, social, sporty. Enjoy a party and a good time, as well as a quiet drink. Just started at UON, so I’m looking for some like minded students to live with. I’m a happy go lucky, easy to get along with guy who enjoys socialising, meeting new people and making great mates. Not much really gets me down. If you think I’d make a good flat mate for you, swing me a message :)
My name is Tanieka, I work full time and am looking for a place to call my own! I like to consider myself a fairly clean person and I love animals so if you have pets that’s a plus! I’m a very chill person and get along with people easily despite appearing shy at first. I love reading, running, Netflix, festivals and anything that involves a good time!
Hi, Sam and Kirsten here! We're 26 and 25 and are relocating from Brisbane to Newcastle as I (Sam) begin uni here this year. We like to think we're fun/funny and good company to have around but are also more than happy to keep to ourselves. We also have a little dog named Dotty looking to come with us. She is a 4yr old Maltese Poodle who doesn't shed fur, doesn't bark and could challenge a koala to a sleeping contest to give you an idea of how lazy she is. We're very tidy and certainly enjoy our food (So does Dotty)! Kirsten is also a qualified dietitian but don't worry, we still love our pizza, chocolate and other tasty snacks! Hopefully we sound interesting enough to persuade you to let us live with you! :)
Hey, My names Abby! I love a cheeky bevvy on the weekend. In saying that I also love my Netflix sessions and respect others wanting their time alone too! I work full time 9-5 so ill be home at nights. When not at work im at the beach attempting to surf or at the gym! I cant say I can cook but gotta learn somehow right? I'm not fussed on the move in date either! My friend and I are looking for a 3 bedroom house in and around town and are in need of a third flat mate. If you want to have a chat to find out more about our plans feel free to flick me a message. We're also very happy to have coffee sometime if anyone wants to meet us. Updated we have found a house and flatmate! Good luck to everyone else :)
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration this year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. Although I don’t really know anyone up here yet so friendly roomies willing to go on walking adventures with me and my camera would be wonderful. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Hello all! I'm extremely keen to move out in the Newcastle inner city region. I'm currently undertaking an electrician apprenticeship and have lived in Newcastle my whole life. I know the city like the back of my hand and a house near the beach would be amazing how ever I'm open to any of the locations listed above!. I love to have fun and meet new people and hopefully we can be roommates soon! Cheers!
Im originally from Sydney. Studying in the faculty of engineering at newcastle uni. Im easy going and pretty chill. I am respectful of privacy but am also down to hangout and chat. Im an alright cook and am always willing to clean and do my bit. I like the beach, music and partying. I will be working part time and may go back to Sydney some weekends.
I am a Law and Political Science student at the University of Newcastle. Also work part time in hospitality. Living life to the fullest is my motto and always keen on doing fun and exciting things. I am a bit of a social butterfly I always love having drinks with friends and sometimes going out clubbing. At the same time I am also a super hard worker and put in the effort at university. I try to stay active and eat healthy as much as I can. I do have a pet cat which I would LOVE to bring with me but my parents would happily take care of her if this is not possible. As I work and study in Newcastle, I would prefer a location right in the city and close to everything! I identify as gay, so other gay room mates would be fantastic although I do get along with everyone!
Work full-time in IT, like to keep common spaces clean, pet lover of all kinds (the more pets the better!). Avid Arsenal fan and a bit of a gamer, so I'm used to handling banter. I play netball at Howzat and 5-a-side soccer at Warners Bay after work, so I am out of the house a bit during the week. Eater of anything that doesn't have mushrooms. Night Owl. I'm looking to move close to the Newcastle CBD/beaches :) I'm always up for a chat and a beer or two :) Looking to make new friends, so a sociable group is preferable! However, I am not looking for a party house, as I'm not about that life. A 3-5 roommate place is preferable. I plan to be in Canada for June + July, but will be paying my share of the rent during this time. Hit me up if you think we will be a good match!
We are full time students from Sydney who have completed a degree and now doing further studies at the University of Newcastle. Therefore, we are looking to rent a property, preferably long term, that is nice and quiet. We are respectful of people, clean, mature, responsible and organised. We would love to share a home with someone who is friendly and easy going like ourselves.
Hello! I'm a clean and respectful flatmate, who loves animals, especially other peoples' since I can't have my own. I'm a final year medical student so I'm a bit of a nerd but still like being in a social homey kind of flat. I also enjoy cooking and baking when I get time. I've signed myself up for a half marathon so you can laugh at my attempts to train for that. I'm from New Zealand originally but my accent comes and goes of it's own free will. Because my rotations are in a few different locations this year I'm looking for a place in Newcastle from April to June. Generally I'm pretty easy going and would love somewhere to live in April :P
Primarily looking to team up, I currently have my own house on the central coast but it's boring down here so looking for somewhere with a decent pub nearby! I would be able to fully furnish a house, I'm easy going, work fulltime Mon-Fri, I have a 10yo Siberian Husky, he's really good natured, happy for him to make friends with your dog or would look at getting a rescue to keep him company as he currently is in a pack of 3
Hello! My name is Laila I am 27 and looking to team up with one or two more people to find a place to live. Or if you have a spare room in a place already I would be interested. I have just moved to Newcastle from Sydney and ideally I would like to be in the Mereweather Bar Beach area as I love the beach! I work part time 4 days a week and study online. To live with I'm a very friendly, clean and respectful person, I love to socialise and have a few drinks but also love my down time. I do have quite a lot of house hold items and would be happy to contribute these! Get in contact if you think this sounds like a match :)
Hi I’m Liv, I’m a 25 year old female who works full-time as an Environmental Coordinator. I am potentially looking to move in with other females, who are relaxed & enjoy a few glasses of wine at the end of the week. I am tidy, clean and curteous of other peoples things and space. I enjoy being outdoors on weekends, staying active/fit and spending time with my family & friends.
hello! this is Mona! I like to meet new people and make new friend! I'm friendly and kind, always excited and positive! Also, I do care about cleaning! I'm looking for a friendly housemate as a friend and team and clean house as place to relax and rest.
I am a history teacher by profession. This year I am undertaking a Masters of Research in Australian colonial history e.g. frontier violence. Vegan, lover of the ocean and having a beer. Currently working at Coal & Cedar. I consider myself to be friendly, open minded and easy going.
I recently got offered a graduate position in Newcastle so moving up (preferably first week of march) from Melbourne. I am originally from Mumbai but been living in Melbourne for over 7 years now. Since I don't know anyone in Newcastle, I'd like to move into a friendly house where I can make friends and not just be another housemate. All my ex housemates are great friends of mine and I'd like to continue that. I'll be fairly busy during the week with full time work, gym and trying to making my dinner (which takes surprisingly long given my amateur skills). However down to hang out during the weekend, be it going to town or having a few quiet ones at home in front of the TV. Other interests include playing and watching all kinds of sports, outdoor activities (hiking, swimming) and also looking to take up surfing in Newcastle. I've been living in shared houses for 7 years now so am aware of all the drills. I'd like to think I'm fairly neat and organised and like to keep my place the same way, If you feel like you have a room available for me at your place or if you're keen to team up and look for places in Newcastle, feel free to send me a message and we can go from there.
