I'm a Londoner working as a freelance music events professional, looking to make a new home in Melbourne for the summer. I'm hoping to work through the Australian festival and outdoor music event season - something which has taken me to Glastonbury and the Croatian Coast in the past. I'm a huge fan of music of all genres and I am always trying to go out and support the local scene. Whenever I'm not working I am nearly always travelling somewhere, somehow, on some ridiculous budget, going out to watch music, cycling, going on hiking/nature weekends and hanging out with friends. I've lived in plenty of house shares in London, Cape Town and around Europe, so I can easily adapt and fit into any space. I prefer to live in a social, positive, clean environment with open-minded people where I can have a laugh and maybe polish off a bottle of wine or two. I'm planning to get a bike when I arrive in Melbourne so I'd like somewhere secure to store that. I'm an extremely liberal person and I'm attracted to people of all genders - you must be an accepting, inclusive household.
Hi I’m Alice (29), my partner Dale (31) and I are looking for somewhere central to stay for 6 months, around Collingwood / Richmond / South Yarra. Ideally we would love to have our own bathroom and the bedroom to be furnished so that we could move in straight away! I’m originally from Melbourne, Dale is from the UK and this is his first time to Australia, so we will be trying to see as much of the city and wider Victoria as we can on weekends, weeknights will be a lot quieter. We’d like a housemate/housemates who we can have a drink and a laugh with, maybe check out some of the local wine bars or breweries especially when the weather improves.
ME AND MY SURFBOARD ARE LOOKING FOR A ROOM! Hi! I’m Elisa from Italy and I’ve just moved to Melbourne to become a teacher and to live a great experience in this amazing country. I’m looking to move from my temporary lease in the lovely Collingwood to something more permanent from November 1st. I'm a life enthusiastic and I like travelling: I lived in Germany and Russia some years ago and I enjoy surf tripping around the world (Morocco and Java were the last place I’ve been to ). I love music, good vibes, good coffee, wine and cinema. I also love animals. I'm clean and tidy and well aware of other’s space. I’m curious but respectful and I get along with everyone. I’m taking a break from professional work in Italy and have lived independently for many years, therefore paying bills on time is no issue. I am looking for a room that is furnished and also Ideally looking for roommates to share a glass of wine with after work or going out in the weekends. Ciao!
I've recently moved to Melbourne from Perth and am looking for a fun place to live! I'm 28, working full time as a facade engineer in the city and easy going. I only came here with some boxes of clothes and a motorbike so I prefer being outdoors in my spare time either at the gym, hiking or reading. Would like to check out places in Melbourne and see what's good out there, don't mind the occasional pub or bar venture and good conversations! Looking for like minded hassle free people, would prefer a place for a minimum of 6 months. 😊 Don't require a furnished room as I have a bed sorted. 😊
I'm a kiwi who has just moved to Melbourne after two years living and working in London. I work as an accountant and am totally obsessed with food. Ideally looking for to find a place with people who are keen to hang out and socialise sometimes
I'm a 26 year old, primary school teacher working full time in the Western Suburbs. I enjoy live music, travelling, yoga, the outdoors, adventuring around Melbourne, books, coffee and wine. I like where I live to be calm and easy going. I'd like to be friends with the people I live with and am happy to have a glass of wine, coffee and cook together - especially on weekends.
Hi, I'm a traveler stayed in Perth and planning to move to Melbourne for a couple of months.. Easy going, tidy and very helpful if it's needed.. working on a documentary and planning to work a couple of months in Melbourne.
I work at Crown and will be studying Fashion Design and Merchandising next year in Fitzroy, so looking somewhere close to both work & school around later October - early November 2018 I’m friendly, clean, respectful, non-judgemental and love people. I’ve been living in a sharehouse with 2 other girls (20&21yrs) since February and have become incredibly close with them. I’m reliable with paying my own way & always happy to share chores. Most of my close friends are in their early 20s, so I guess that’s the kind of age group I’d prefer to share with, but obviously happy to get to know anyone :) x In my spare time I’m out clubbing, finding hidden bars, going to art galleries or fashion shows, or at the gym trying to get fit. When I come home I like to relax and am always chatty if others are, otherwise I’m happy doing my own thing Flexible with moving dates, happy to have just one flatmate or several, but not looking for shared rooms
Hi there ! I'm 26, French, originally leather craftswoman, trying to find a job in construction for now. I'm currently sleeping from couch to couch in my friend's houses... so I often dream about a real bed in a cheerful home surrounded by lovely mates :) I used to live in several shared houses, always for a long time, always a new family ! I'm totally respectful of the personal space of each other and enjoy some quiet moments on my own but I also love sharing long and exciting discussions with friends, drinking a glass of wine (or two), as well as going to exhibitions or gigs. I love animals and sports, I love discovering new songs or new restaurants, I love when a house is clean, well-decorated and smells good and I love cooking...I didn't say that I was a good cook but I really like to cook for people so let me a chance ;) Hope we will get along ! Can't wait to meeting you !
I am a 29 year old male who works as a legal assistant for a city law firm. I am a great flatmate because I am social, very tidy and respect other people's privacy. I like to make new friends and I understand that its important to keep noise down at night so that everyone can sleep. I am a Melbourne local and like to travel, read, watch movies and go out drinking with friends for fun. Please don't hesitate to message me and I will be more than happy to meet you and look at your property. I am looking for a place close to a train station that is around $200 per week and looking to stay for a minimum of 6 months. I usually stay with my partner or parents 3 nights a week so you will mostly have the place to yourself!
Hello, I am looking for a place in Melbourne near to public transport, as I am currently attending Latrobe University. I am a quiet, clean person with a tendency to keep to myself. I enjoy reading, visiting the city and spending time on my computer. I do have a cat, which I will need to bring with me, however, she is very quiet and generally lives in my room.
Clean & tidy, not home often as I work a lot, not an annoying person who always needs to chat, easy going, hard working. Looking for a housemate who is clean, pays the rent on time, happy & most of all trustworthy
I’m in the middle of moving back to Melbourne after years away! I’m a neat and tidy person, social and friendly. I’m looking for a place close to the City that also has parking available. Also I can be super flexible with the move in date for the right place!
Hi potential flatmates, Originally from the small city of Adelaide. I am currently trying to find a place to move to so I can study Advertising at RMIT. I am a chilled guy, open minded, friendly, clean and have loads of shared house experience that have proved unique and challenging (being assigned to live with crack addict/dealer in Christchurch and a room in Berlin with only three walls). I believe these to be character building moments and make great stories if you ever have the chance to hear the full versions! In my spare time I play rugby and travel frequently. I lived in Berlin for about a year and a half then moved to Christchurch for a rugby season and have been back and forth from Berlin/Europe ever since. I like to socialise whenever I can but I also respect downtime, including the legitimate Netflix and Chill sessions. If you'd like to message me for more info please do. I'd love to chat! Thanks

I am currently working for Indonesian company as finance analyst.I love soccer, pop alternative musics (for an example Andrew bird ), "reading" if it's historical book otherwise I am easily get bored and also travelling lover. I'm a working professional about to move to Melbourne. Originally from Brisbane. I've lived in share-houses all through uni and am pretty easy going, flexible and clean. Good balance between social and respectful of privacy. Pretty low key during the working, but love to socialise, chat and have a beer with friends. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I'm Giuliana, looking for a longer-term place to call home in a sharehouse with another 2 or more people. About me: During the week I work 8.30-5, 4 days per week at a university library, and spend 2-3 nights a week at yoga. Aside from yoga, I love hiking, camping and nature connection, travel, cooking (and eating!), motorbike riding, spending quality time with friends and family, veggie and herb gardening; so would love a place with a decent sized backyard with a veggie garden, or the space for one as well as for composting, all the better if there are housemates who'd like to share in this as I've still got a lot to learn! About what I’m seeking: There are all sorts of people I'd enjoy living with. I'm a thoughtful, open-minded, respectful, grounded, tidy, sustainability-focused person looking to share with other gentle, caring people with similar values; and amongst all of that sharing a healthy dose of humour is most welcome. I'm looking for a longer-term share house (which is why I’ve written so much!) so it's important to me to find a place with people where we can create a healthy household dynamic; which can only really come through clarity in communication. While this can be difficult at times and we’re all learning, it’s super important for me and the people I share with to be willing to try to communicate openly, gently and respectfully to the best of our abilities. I have a fulfilling social life, however I'd really like to live with others who are more than just people I live in the same house with; I'd like to share communal meals and chats regularly. However I also need alone time, and am respectful of other people’s need for that also. I'm currently used to preparing my own meals, but am very open and welcoming to communal living, food sharing, and perhaps also composting. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I rarely eat meat and I've happily lived with vegans and vegetarians before. About the house: In terms of the house itself, some things I’d really like (though not essential, unless there’s none of them) are: - Gas stove top (for cooking! Electric or induction are a bit limiting) - Undercover parking for my motorbike (I have a cover for it, but much easier to just park under something) - A backyard that gets some sunlight and has, or has space to grow herbs and veggies (even if it’s just concrete that you can put plant pots on) - An older house with character, with larger rooms and more natural light (I’m not a big fan of those townhouses going up all over the place) - I’m particularly interested in moving to Thornbury, Preston, Fairfield, Northcote, North Fitzroy (not necessarily in the order), but surrounding suburbs like Ivanhoe, Alphington, Brunswick and Coburg may also be suitable. I have a mish-mash of furniture including a fridge (oldish), and a washing machine (newish). I'm willing to shed what's not needed though as most of it I've collected along the way from family and friends. I have some lovely indoor plants which I'd love to share with my new housemates as some of them are little big for the bedroom! I don’t have a particular date I need to be out of my current place by, but I’d ideally like to have at least 3 weeks notice so my existing housemate has a chance to find a new sharer also. Would love to hear from you if you think I'd suit your share home.
