Pleasure to meet you, future roomie! I'm a former materials engineer from the USA and current ESL teacher on a 1-year work visa in Oz. I love travel, fitness, languages, learning new things, and meeting new people. Ideally, looking for a houseshare with 3-4 outgoing folks who aren't afraid to make plans and help me stay busy. Indie music, cheesy humor, cheesy cooking, occasional house parties, and eccentrics are a big plus. Cigarettes and cats are a big minus (due to allergies). My budget caps out around $250, although less is always welcome, and I'm hoping wherever I stay is close enough to bike to the CBD...so Inner East, Inner North, Inner West, and St. Kilda areas are all on the table (in rough order of preference). I'm currently in the CBD and hoping to move within the next week. If this all sounds good to you, DM me for a meetup, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon!
I'm Canadian, but I've been living in Melbourne for 4 years. I'm tidy, and I like to procrastinate by cleaning. Professionally, I work full time for a software company with a few side projects on the go. Generally I split my time 50/50 working from home and the office - so I won't get in the way of other activities in the house. But that being said, I do need a house that is relatively peaceful. I previously worked in banking and I have a law degree, so I would say I'm in the 'young professionals' category. Personally, I have a keyboard and a couple acoustic guitars which I don't get to play as often as I would like, but you may get a little live music now and again - particularly after a couple glasses of wine. While I enjoy a nice dinner party and a bottle of wine, I don't like to party. I'm an early morning person - generally in the office pretty early so I can be home by early afternoon to relax when the day allows. I like to cook when I have the time (and happy to cook for you too), so a good kitchen would be great. I also do a little travel and some photography in my spare time. Looking for a house/flat share, preferably with only 1 other person, and preferably a working professional. Or also a team up - I have enough furniture to furnish the place too. My current flat has a spare bedroom which we use for storage, and it also houses a spare double bed I have for those nights when one bottle of wine turns into a few and a friend is best off not wondering down the street solo. Thus, It would be great to have a spare bedroom again though it's not mandatory. I'm looking for a move date mid-october but can be flexible.
Grew up in Sydney, recently moved from London and now on to Melbourne! Spent a lot of time in shared housing so very considerate and tidy. Would love to live with people that can enjoy a wine together but also have our own space :) Walking distance to trams 1, 12, 58, 96 Max $350pw No pets Couples okay if there are other people in the house
i am a friendly person who likes to have a chat but also respects personal space which is a good mixture to have within a housemate. i like to keep tidy after myself usually spend a lot of time listening to music, exercising, studying or socializing out of the house usually don't really bring many people over. i have lived in melbourne my whole life in quite a few share houses as an adult (about 5 in over 10 years) i have a lot of furniture but also have access to a storage unit if there will be an issue with placing my stuff (fridge, dinner table, couch, bed room stuff etc)
Greetings! I am a freelance designer from New York who has been living in Melbourne for the past three years. I am studying business as well. I am super respectful of space, tidy, and hardly ever home. Happy to chat, but totally respectful of living space and see my home as a restful space to rest and cook occasionally. Happy to live with anyone who is nice, socially independent, respectful and communicative, as I will happily be those attributes as well. Hope to connect if I feel like a good housemate for you!
Heylo, My name is Kevin, I'm from India. Recently moved to Melbourne, studying Audio Engineering at the JMC Academy which is at the South banks. I'd love to move into a place which makes me feel at home. I keep clean and tidy at all times and so clean up after myself. I respect the privacy of others and expect the same. I'd love to share a meal with my flatmates, if you're up for some Indian food. When I'm not studying I'd love to catch up over a few drinks and hangout. Not way too much of a party person but would love to chill over the weekends. I love pets and nature. Once I move into a home, I'd be getting engaged in a part time job. That's pretty much me! looking forward to sharing a house. Thank you, Kevin
I'm a country girl from South Australia and have been living at my current place in Doncaster for 3 years, but the property is being sold. I'm a mature age student studying full-time at Latrobe and a qualified teacher, teaching part-time at St Helena's SC. I have an adorable 4 y.o., fully trained, female, (inside) pug. I need to bring my own furniture and/or have a place to store it. I have everything, but can store unnecessary items. I'm quiet and spend most of my time working and studying, but I don't live/hide in my room. I'm easy going, like to have fun, am considerate and respectful. I'm tidy and always clean up after myself. If I find the right place I can move out as early as 26 Jan, or as late as 2 March 2019 (the later the better).
We’re a young professional couple born and bred in Melbourne. Both working full time, Grace in Marketing and Max in Finance, with Max studying a masters part time. Grace is a freelance makeup artist on weekend and Max plays club cricket throughout summer! Both easy going and happy to sit down for a beer and dinner after work or do their own thing!
I'm Patricia, 27 music lover from Spain who is looking for a long term place. About me... I'm a hospitality worker and ramedial massage student. I've been living in Melbourne since October 2017 with student visa. I consider myself a pretty chilled out person, very respectful, easy going, tidy and responsible with the payments. Open minded and idealist, I'm always up to learn something new. Netlix. Vegetarian. Books. Travel. A bit geek. It would be great to find compatible people to live and spend some house time with.
I am Haruka (31). I work as a massage therapist and studying in the city. I respect other's, love dogs but not cat (I love them but I'm allergic to cat...maybe I should try if your cat is ok...) and not a party person.I'm happy to have company but I sometime need my time. Love music, movie, eating and dancing...
Hey everyone! I am Jules, & I am a Business Marketing Student at RMIT. I am currently looking with one other friend for a share house & looking for team ups or a place with two rooms! I am a rowing coach & work in catering - so I spend a lot of time working and studying. But in my spare time, I love to just relax and watch some Netflix, hang out and chat with friends & always keen for a drink or two in the evenings.. Very clean person and love to hang out with you as much as I like to keep to myself :) YAY
I am a young professional from the UK so I am out at work Monday-Friday. I would love a place to relax and call my own. I enjoy catching up with housemates so it would be good to live with people who enjoy a cuppa and a chat (or a g&t!) but I also like my own space so understand the need to have down time. I am used to sharing places and I’m clean and tidy- but certainly not ocd about that stuff. I am a non-smoker and don't have any pets so it's just me :)
Hi, I'm Theo, female, queer, and 34. I have been a social/environmental activist all my life, but am pretty anti-activist culture these days (specifically I'm not judgemental and am looking for non-judgemental folks to live with). I'm starting a political blog from a radical centrist angle, and work mostly from home. I don't have an income at the moment, but have substantial savings, so no need to worry about me paying the rent. I'm into hanging out with friends, working out, going out dancing, playing table tennis, personal development, serious and light hearted chats, netflixing, keen to get into skateboarding and parkour soon. I'm looking for a place that's relaxed, friendly, clean, non-communal (although I'd be into sharing meals occasionally if it feels right), meat friendly...
Young professional working full time in the CBD. Enjoy gardening, reading, good chats and unwinding with a glass of wine at the end of the day. I like a balance between social and personal time, respect others' space and clean up after myself. I bring house plants and an awesome doggo to the mix!
I am generally a pretty easy going person, enjoy a place that is clean and tidy most of the time but not fastidious.. I love dogs if you have them. I like a bit of gardening so will probably be keen to get some planters going with some simple herbs. I also love to cook when the mood takes me and enjoy a glass of wine/chat with people I live with but also happy to do my own thing. I am from Adelaide but been in Melbourne for the last two years. Looking for a place to make home long term. I would prefer to live with other women that are also renting. I am currently working full time and studying part time but will be going full time in March at Deakin doing psychology and working part time so I imagine I will be out quite a bit! I'm left leaning and enjoy hiking and yoga, would also prefer to wait to find the right place :)
