Hi! I'm Prashanth, a young professional making the move from Brisbane, where I've lived for the past 8 years, to Adelaide to start a new role. I'm a scientist by background and worked in research before making the move into newer territory with the aforementioned role. I love playing soccer and generally trying to keep fit but that competes with my general liking for nice coffees, good food and the occasional glass of wine or a craft beer. I also love going out to watch live music, quality films and sports. I also enjoy conversing about most things in the world. I'm well versed in the sharing game and have shared houses with all types of folks. I'm outgoing but understand the importance of personal space as well. I'm clean without being a clean freak and wash up after myself. I'm looking for a place in North Adelaide (mainly because of the convenient commute to my work) or its immediate surrounds. I'm moving at the end of the month from Brisbane and start my new job in the first week of July. Looking forward to chatting with you!
My name is Catherine and I am looking for a room to rent as close to Adelaide CBD as possible, available to move immediately. Originally from Russia, I am a Permanent resident in Australia since the end of 2015 and planning to become a citizen. Starting my new job at Women's and Children's Hospital, will be working rotating shifts. Have been doing nanny work before, and my background before coming to Australia is in HR -- I am planning to get back to it once I settle down here and sort out additional training and other things. I don't have a car, pets, don't smoke or drink, don't party, clean after myself, and don't have any furniture except for a queen mattress (+quilt and pillows). I am pretty quiet, like to have my privacy and don't bother others, but happy to chat, cook together or hang out in the outdoor areas. I am usually the tidiest person in the household (at least that was the case in all sharehouses I lived in), and every once in while will get in the mood to bake pies and cookies to share with everyone.
I'm considerate and generous, but in no way a door mat. I'm easy to get along with because I have many interests. I'm a huge nerd so expect comic books, video games (PC & Xbox One), and board games (think Catan). I will, on occassion, watch the A-League or EPL depending on how my teams are going. I have a hard drive with 1000+ movies so always up for a movie night. Don't mind a bit of a TV binge either (Netflix). Happy to share what's mine because I know you'll take care of it. I enjoy cooking, usually trying new things, and like to cook for others. A nice, big kitchen is preferable for that reason, some recipes can become quite elaborate! Recently gotten into growing my own herbs and vegetables so I would like a place where I can continue that. I'm as liberally minded as they come but not a part of the far-left. Don't expect political correctness. I have no problems at all with any nationality or sexuality, but all religions grind my gears. The areas I selected are purely based on NBN accessibility. This is a must for me. I'm not keen on house parties but enjoy social drinks. Always mindful of my flatmates. Just finished a BSc and applied for honours. Otherwise, I'm a freelance graphic designer picking up work whenever I can. I don't have a problem with smokers, as long as they keep it outside, weed also. No hard drugs though. I'm single. I don't care if you have a partner, but I expect all duties and expenses to be shared commensurately. I'm very easy to live with. I'm drama free and intend to stay that way.
I'm a final year law student at Adelaide looking for a social household with a laid-back atmosphere. It goes without saying that I know how to respect others' personal space. Looking for flexible length of stay but will probably stay till the end of the year. Do let me know if you have anything close to north east corner of CBD. Furnished room + Parking essential.
quiet and respectful. researcher at university. 27 yr old male.
Hi, I’m on the lookout for a peaceful share house, and hoping to live with one or two other full time workers or post-grad students. I’m sociable and like to spend time out of the house, but when I’m home I usually keep to myself. Happy to crack a bottle of wine and get to know whomever I’m living with. I have a 9 to 5 office job in the CBD, so a home with enough privacy to relax after work would be perfect. A large unfurnished bedroom is essential. I’m a non-smoker, housework doesn’t scare me and I usually try to do all my cooking on weekends. Coming with me is the ability wear headphones and an indoor cat named Aslan. I also have a fridge, microwave and plenty of kitchen supplies. Anything not needed I can put into storage.
Girls and boys, students from Adelaide Uni and UniSA. Occupied with studies most of the time. Occasionally have dinner together with movies on the weekends. Clean and tidy. Some of us are active while the rest just prefer to stay home and binge watch tv shows.
We are an Indian family with a 4yr old child, migrating to Adelaide on PR. We are looking for a room in a shared apartment. We are a happy couple blessed with a child and prefer a clean and tidy environment. Single or couple, we are easy to mingle. Let us know if interested. -Thanks!
Hi, I'm looking for a place for a place to rent when my current lease ends in late August. Have lived with housemates for 18 months+ so am used to sharing! I work as a nurse so do shift work and am in and out of the house a lot (plus can stick a bandaid on your papercuts for you!). I am a fairly clean person, I'm particularly skilled at kitchen cleaning but can be a bit slack when it comes to my own room. I enjoy a quiet night in but also enjoy having a drink or two on occasion, can cook a good batch of brownies and am a half-hearted gym goer.
Hey, how are you? We are one male and one female backpackers and we have stable jobs. We are looking for a room. We are easygoing, tidy and clean. Hope we can inspect your house if the rooms are still available. Thank you and have a nice day. Chelsea and Franky.
I love to shout mad pizza and beer to my housemates , and I love to have fun and joke around. I'm really clean and I know when to give people space.
Looking for en-suite, modern clean non-shared bathroom. I am a new Lecturer at UniSA. I will now prefer places close to the beach between Henley and West Lakes.
Hi. I'm in throes of planning a move to Adelaide and looking for a place to live. I currently live in Canberra and will start a new job at Adelaide Uni in August. I love travelling and do a bit of it of for work, so you'll have the place to yourself every now and again. I have done the whole sharehouse thing for about 5 years. Good with paying bills and helping out around the house. I am tidy, considerate and very easygoing. I love good food, good beer, wine and whiskey... basically anything that's on hand. I come with a netflix and stan subscription :) I don't have any pets but if you have one then great! Anyway, if you have a room or you're looking to team up, let me know.
25-year-old engineer currently working full time. Laid back and clean, looking for somewhere to live close to the city. Hobbies: Hiking, guitar, live music, running - long distance
Hi I'm Tobi from Stuttgart, Germany. I'm Currently studying International Business undergraduate. I decided to study 2 semesters abroad at UniSA, starting in the end of July, and am now looking for a place to stay during this time. I plan to work part-time, to earn some travel money. I'm an easy going, tidy, helpful person and hope to find a place with flatmates that share these characteristics. Ideally they also like to hang out together from time to time. I don't mind pets, smokers or some house duties. What I'm looking for here: - Furnished room - Unlimited internet - All bills included - Near public transport - Well sized room - Min. 3 bedrooms house - Ideally with Smart TV in the room If you have questions, hit me up. We are from South Africa, and we have recently acquired my PR residence for Australia, we are planning to live in Australia permanently. Looking for a place to start our life. Preferably looking for a room with private bathroom. Minimum stay for 3 months. Kind regard Suzi
I'm a 26yr male, originally from Germany, working and studying in marketing in Adelaide. I love to travel and am always looking to what my next holiday is when I return from one! I've travelled through Europe, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand and of course SA and VIC. I also enjoy all the usual - sports, eating good food and drinking delicious wine. Next on my travel list is Tasmania, Greece and Portugal. In terms of living together, I'll be pretty hands off - will let you do your own thing, but always happy to share a good time. Therefore I'm looking for someone to share a home rather than simply occupying a spare room. I am looking for an interesting person, open-minded and be willing to share some meals or a drink occasionally.
My name is Maighan, I'm 20 and studying International Development at Adelaide Uni, as well as commencing an internship with SA Parliament (how do I adult??) I enjoy going to markets, hanging out, exploring adelaide, taking videos and photos, being creative, meditating and brunching. I'm from Tassie so I go home when I can to catch up with friends and family, but I've also got a really stable and fab group of friends in Adelaide. I want a social share house, somewhere with 0 drama and supportive and friendly people. Feeling safe and accepted is really important to me and it's my main requirement for a share house. If you're looking for someone to share cups of tea with (I have a crazy collection of T2) and who is regularly down to go for a walk, get coffee or a beer then I am ya gal! I'm generally clean and my floordrobe always stays within the premises of my room ;) Excited to hear from you :)
I'm Allie, 22 and working in retail. My hours change week to week but I'm usually out of the house at least four days, and when I'm home I'm very quiet and keep mostly to myself. I'm not that social but I'm definitely not unapproachable or antisocial, I'm just introverted and chronically ill, rest and downtime is super important to me and people often take it as me avoiding them or ignoring them-- definitely not the case. With that in mind, I'm looking for a room in a quiet house, where I can feel free to be myself. I'm super friendly and love the occasional chat, it's just important that I get time to myself too. I have two pet rats, who live in their cage in my room, and would not be seen by potential housemates unless they wanted to see them, they're very smart, intelligent animals, clean and friendly, they don't smell and you wouldn't know they were there. Ideally I'd love to get a dog, I don't have plans for that until I've found the right place and it's the right time for me to do. I'm clean and respectful of shared spaces, and don't mind doing my equal share of the housework. I would prefer to live with women, (including trans* women) but would consider a mixed household if the dynamic was right. Mostly I just need a safe space with privacy. I don't drive, so public transport links are essential, properties as close to main north road as possible would be ideal. I do have a bicycle but as I am also chronically ill, I can't ride her as much as I'd love to, so buses are really important and will ultimately determine where I live most.
