Hey there, I'm Felix from Berlin, Germany :) I am currently doing a postgraduate degree in Communications and Politics at the Free University of Berlin. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Economics and I've been working part-time in the German & European energy industry. Luckily I was offered the opportunity to spend my last semester at the University of Melbourne where I'll be studying the Global Media & Communications program. As you can probably imagine, I'm already pretty excited to fly over to Australia - especially since Melbourne seems to be an amazing place to live. There is just one thing missing: A proper place to stay and a couple of awesome flatmates! So what makes me great to live with? - I'm a really friendly and sociable person: let's have good conversations, let's cook together, let's chill in the park or have a BBQ, let's wear pyjamas and make a movie night, let's go clubbing, let's organise a games evening or let's go to cinemas, museums and theatres. Don't worry: this might sound a lot but you definitely won't be obliged to hang out with me 24/7. I will be studying (and probably working part-time) which means I have a lot to do and I am perfectly fine to do stuff on my own! - I am a reliable person. I've been living in shared apartments for seven years - mostly with friends of mine. I know how to clean, I know how to transfer the rent on time and I respect your private space. - I am a creative mind. I enjoy taking pictures, sometimes I paint stuff ( I need to improve my skills though), I am playing piano and I really enjoy writing. - I am interested in many things: politics & economics, media & journalism, languages & cultures, music & clubs, travelling, cars, renewable energy & smart city concepts, e-mobility & autonomous driving - just to name a few - I am curious. I really want to make the most of my time in Melbourne and Australia. I'd be super happy to take a deep dive into the Australian culture. Let's explore some nice places in Melbourne together. I would also love to do hiking trips in Victoria and see the rest of Australia. Last year I've already got to know some places along the east coast. The Great Ocean Road as well as the west coast are yet to come. - I am multilingual. If you're interested in Europe I'd be happy to share some experiences with you. I was born and raised in Germany, I went to school in Paris for a while and I studied in Madrid for 7 months. I can speak German, English, French and Spanish. Some information concerning the apartment: I'm looking for a place to stay as of the 15th July. Unfortunately I cannot make any appointments before that date since I am currently living in Berlin. My maximum weekly budget is 250AUD. If possible, I'd be happy to find a place which is close to the University of Melbourne (Parkville campus) - ideally in the CBD, Fitzroy or Carlton. I have a strong preference for a private room since I need to study from time to time. The room should be furnished. LGBT-friendly would be awesome. If you think it might be a match or in case you have any questions, please don't hesitate contacting me. I am also happy to organise a skype call. Cheers, Felix
Hey! I'm moving down to Melbourne from Brisbane in early July for work. I’m a musician (drummer) and have been playing for 10+ years in multiple bands (indie pop, indie rock and hip hop), freelance photographer for portraiture/weddings and will be starting a new role in marketing management out in Dandenong. Not a huge partier but definitely like being social - beers, gigs, galleries, all the usual you know how it is. I’ll be working full time and keep active with sport so will be out most days. Good rent track record and always been the dad of my previous houses - managing all the bills, lease etc. Looking for 6-12months to begin with and will be flying down to Melbourne in the next couple of weeks to check out some places but would love to chat! Let me know :)
Hey guys, my name is Farell. I work full time in the city. I’m looking for a private room in and around the CBD. A little bit about me. I would like to describe myself as laidback and social. I enjoy drinking over the weekends and binging on junk food. I’m looking for housemates I could share stories over a cuppa coffee post work or grab some dinner. If you think I would be a fit please drop a text.
Hi, I recently moved from New Zealand to Melbourne and am working as a young professional in the CBD. I am looking for a place with not too many other flatmates, preferably other working professionals. Also, a place that's clean and quiet - not the party type!
Hey, my name is Marcus I am a 30 years old freelance photographer based in Berlin (Germany). I have been to Australia 10 years ago and did 9 months work&travel which I really enjoyed. My dream always was to come back some day and now the time has come! ;) I am an easy going person who loves doing sports like running, hiking and playing basketball. I enjoy hanging out with people and having fun. I love cooking and having BBQs. :D Besides photography I like being creative, building stuff out of wood and metal. I'd really like to get to know Melbourne outside of the touristy stuff and become a part of the locals.
The names Mike. I'm easy-going creative entrepreneur. I run my own brand strategy & identity service with a niche focus on hand lettering and calligraphy. People describe me as passionate and optimistic. I'm looking for a place to stay in Melbourne Australia for a 1-year work visa. I'll be coming from the US in December.
I am moving to Melbourne in late June to pursue a filmmaking career and study at RMIT. I am tidy, responsible, considerate, transparent and easygoing. Love to hang out with friends and have a chat, but I also value private space at times. Creative soul, who loves film, TV shows, photography, music, architecture... Additionally, relish spending time outdoors exercising, hiking, cycling. Used to play basketball, tennis and soccer in high school and a bit at uni. Also, a big fan of winter sports. Graduated Lund University in Sweden last year. I often cook in my spare time; thus a fire extinguisher on standby would not go amiss. I don't care much for parties and that. If I go out, I usually go around the local pub with friends to drink and play some billiards. Seeking a roommate or roommates with similar values and interests. If you have any questions and want to get in touch, you can message me any time.
Hey guys! I am a Canadian business student heading to Monash University on exchange. I love meeting new people and trying new things. In my free time I enjoy keeping active and hanging out with friends. I'm always up for an adventure! I love sports, live music and exploring new bars and restaurants. I'm looking for a place to call home while on exchange! My Fave Netflix shows - The Office, Offspring, House M.D. I’ll be arriving in Melbourne July!:) Shoot me a message If you're looking for a housemate or a teamup and you think we'd be a good fit!
Hey! Firstly, I'm 24, I'm from Northern Ireland and I am a software engineer. I'm very outgoing, friendly and respectful. I love football, formula 1, dogs and socialising with friends. If you have an interest in animals and enjoy having craic, I'm sure we will get along just fine. Looking for somewhere close to public transport as I will be commuting into the CBD for work.
