Moving from Melbourne to study Health Science at UQ in 2018 - Looking for a social house to help the move a little easier! (Please also note that living in Melbourne generally means I cannot inspect the place, but i'm down to facetime/skype and meet you! ) I'm always up for a coffee and am looking for a household that get on and are fine with even having a chat in passing or sitting around for a beer. I care less about the quality of room (the only detail i'm really fussed over is if there is parking for my little SUV) Very well versed in shared living, 3 years on campus sharing with 9 others and 1 year off campus sharing with 2 boys. My current place is a 2 bedroom unit shared with a girl I met on Flatmates and we became friends who live together ~ If you think I might suit your place, throw me a message :)
Hi, I've been living in an awesome shared townhouse in Toowong for 3 years, time has come where the other house mates are moving out of Toowong. I work full time in Toowong so living somewhere close to here is preference so I can do a slow lazy walk or ride to work. I'm originally from Melbourne, moved up here for the consistent sunshine, never looked back. I always keep shared spaces clean and tidy after using them, but I'm no clean freak. I have no gender preference. I would prefer a two bedroom place, but also happy to do a three bedroom place if it comes to it. Always happy to chat and a laugh with the house mates when I see them and have done social outings with them in the past. I'm normally quite busy with full time work, my business after hours and other social events. Interested in starting a fresh place or move into an existing place. It will most likely be my last or second last year for renting before purchasing, so looking at 1 year minimum. My current lease ends 29th January, but happy to sign a lease a few weeks earlier if needed for the right place.
Hi, I'm a 2nd year UQ Physio student looking for a relatively new place to move in. Prefer to team up as well. I find myself reserved, clean, respectful, and easy-going & expect my potential flatmate to posses similar qualities. Most of the times I am busy with uni work or my online start-up. During my down time, I like to stay active, compete in team sports or go out. Definitely don't mind the occasional chat/beer or two, however, also know to give space. Have 3 years of experience sharing a household with other people and come to understand that good communication and common sense is essential. Hit me a message if you think we can work something out! Emre
I'm a psychiatric nurse (currently doing masters) and lu is a primary PE teacher. We are well versed in share house arrangements and have just moved back from England. We want to find a few people and establish a fine house residing in one of Brisbane's many fine Queenslanders around Milton, Paddington, Auchenflower, Redhill, Toowong or Indooroopilly. criteria needs: back yard, big deck, hills hoist, away from main road don't mind if its furnished or unfurnished we can always go hunting on kerbside collection days. pros: fine cooks (eat vege most days but partial to a porterhouse), clean, wine n frothies should be on the food pyramid, doggos (happy to accommodate for any canines) , posses a great record collection, house mates looking for friends not just occupiers, will participate in badinage, fit (lu netballs/yogas and I Cycle/swim) so it would be cool to share some exercise activities! cons: We are tall (L 6ft D 6ft7) and will therefore have occasional tall people conventions which even if you are vertically challenged would wish that you be involved in nutbush city limits or Yarns around the BBQ. Ill need some consideration during exam and assessment periods for sleep and study but other than that we cant wait to move out! If you feel like you want the same thing or a similar thing or even the polar opposite thing let us know and wed love to get the ball rolling for a move out date around end of February. oh and preferably people aged 20-30 who can be team players with communal cleanliness! 400 a week is what we are looking at for our room but can go down or a little bit up depending on the abode.
Hey everyone me and my girlfriend will be moving to the Brisbane from the UK in the middle of January 2018. We are looking for a place for us both to live in a shared house or team up. We can be flexible where but ideally somewhere with good transport links to both the city and the University of Queensland. We will both be working and I will also be a full time student at UQ. We are clean and tidy and a fun couple. We enjoy meeting people and socialising with others. I'm also a great cook (so I have been told) so I will certainly be cooking up some meals for you all to sample. We will be in Australia for at least 4 years (as per our Visas) so looking for a great place / house mates on a long term basis. Please get in contact if anyone is interested in either teaming up or have a room spare!
Hey I'm Sam and don't worry the dog isn't coming with me. I'm 25 yrs old, have lived in rentals, shared houses and student accommodation never had a problem with rent. Have done studying and full time work now looking into either more study or employment. Clean and courteous with other housemates. Communication is what makes or breaks a household. If you're my housemate I've got your back that's just how it is. Pretty laid back, meeting new people and new points of view on life is always cool. Being an introvert or extrovert is understandable and empathised. I'm from north Queensland. Travelled a bit sitting on 6/7 (Eventually I'll get to Antarctica) Have worked as an office worker to a shearer so have some experience and understanding of the workforce. For fun I enjoy hanging out, playing some sport or going for a ride down a mountain. Also enjoy playing a game or watching something.

I enjoy sports, fitness, food, and a good conversation! I don't drink or smoke (sort of health obsessed because you know... medical student). Would love to meet new people and explore beautiful Brisbane!
I'm from California moving to Brisbane to study at UQ. I'm looking for a roommate that I can also bond with, I'm very social and clean so you don't have to worry about the place being a mess. I love to have a drink or 6 but I also like to chill at times and I loveee the beach would like it if we share the same interests
Hi! My name is Matthys and I'm 19 years old. I finished my gap year working in Australia and Overseas as a lifeguard and I'm very excited to start studying biomedical science at UQ in 2018! I like to think of myself as very friendly and easy to get along with. When I'm not studying or working, I love spending time with my friends and being active but enjoy time relaxing at home just as much. My two biggest hobbies are bodybuilding and reading, though I'm trying to teach myself cooking (hope you like tasting my experiments!). I'm very tidy, respectful of personal space and privacy and hope to find accomodation with other students. Thanks for reading!
Hi my name is Mátyás, 25 years old and I will be doing a 4 month internship at UQ, starting in February. With 25 years of experience in life, this young man has become rather social. During his years as a student, he has also optimized several other crucial skills including chit-chatting, cooking, drinking alcoholic consumptions and watching Netflix. Several other hobbies include photography, traveling, diving skiing, (jazz) music and playing the piano I found a wonderful place to live in West End, next to Coles, and I am now looking for people that are likeminded: having shared dinner, going out, watching movies, etc. Send me a message in case you’re Interested Cheers, Mátyás
Hi i'm Steph. I'm 20 and I'm a full-time student in my final year studying Fashion and Business at QUT in Kelvin Grove and the City. I'm a friendly, considerate, open-minded and very tidy gal. I mostly keep to myself although i'm always down to have drinks and chats. If i'm not working or studying I enjoy cooking, reading, good music, getting outside, or spending time with friends :)) I'm hoping to find some great humans (of similar age) to start a sharehouse that's welcoming and sociable. I need to find somewhere in the surrounding-ish suburbs of the city. Thanks!
I am a second year occupational therapy student studying at the university of Queensland. I am easy going, friendly and love a good chat. I'm very respectful of personal space, and tidy. I'm not huge on partying but am always up for a casual night with a bit of music and friends.
Currently working full-time in the IT industry, and no I cannot fix your computer but I can bring home some mediocre pens and socks and I am willing to share the Xbox. I am a very active person and do not spend that much time at home but I will never ever say no to drinks and snacks and I am always up for a good boogie. I love baking so please be prepared to have biscuits and slices made for the house on the regular.
We're two sisters studying at UQ that are looking for a nice place to live with some similar minded flatmates. We're both pretty easy going, open-minded and friendly and would love to set a house up that can feel like home. I'm 22 and am going into my second year of Architecture but I do enjoy op shopping and cooking delish meals for friends. April is 19 and is going into a Bachelor of Arts, she enjoys playing ping pong badly and some good tunes alongside a casual bevvie. We are both clean but do not mind if things aren't spotless all the time! We love a good time but also respect the study life and everyones personal spaces. Give us a ring! :)))
I’m a 24 year old female working full time, I have my horse in Brookfield and have a second job at a bar in Brisbane. I’m super clean, love going out but also spending some quiet time at home. Looking for a (few) roommate(s) to spend some time together but also respect each other’s privacy. I’d prefer a room with aircon but not a must. Cheers
My name is Joel and I work full-time in Finance whilst also studying a Bachelor online. I work 9-5pm weekdays and in my spare time I study or I like to watch movies. I'm neat, quiet, don't smoke and I also pay all of my bills on time. I work in West End and I drive so the commute and parking arrangements are a deciding point for me, however I'm flexible on other amenities/factors. I come with my own bedroom furnishings. My current lease ends Feb 16th, however, it's doable to move in a few weeks earlier for the right property. Thank you.
I'm a Canadian and will be starting medical school in February. I'm quiet but outgoing. I will be taking my studies quite seriously but am hoping to explore Brisbane and Australia as much as possible. I'm looking for outgoing but respectful roommates who can be respectful of space but also willing to socialize.
Hi! I'm a Structural Engineer working in Fortitude Valley. About me: I love sports (AFL in particular) and fitness, travel, adventure, a variety of music, photography, and anything that involves creativity. I live on the idea of trying everything once, and making the most of every opportunity. I am seeking roommate/s that are considerate, courteous, and that respect shared areas but who also like to relax and have a good time - and non-smokers too please. I have share-housed before, couch-surfed, and backpacked through various countries, so I know the ins-and-out of sharing etiquette! If I sound like someone you would like to meet, then let me know! Talk soon!
Hi there, my name is Sabrina and I’m a 23-year-old German student. I’ll move to Brisbane in February to study architecture at the UQ for two semesters. I am a really easy-going person and I love to meet new people. I am clean and tidy, respectful, reliable and open-minded. I also enjoy cooking, the beach, good weather, horse riding and quality time with my friends.
Second year in Brisbane from Italy and first year as a UQ student studying Marine Sciences full time. Looking for a house to share with some other students, or a room in a house. I am slightly OCD so no worries about organisation and cleanliness, i have that covered. I respect common areas and will always leave them as clean as i found them. Looking for some young and open minded house mates, preferably students, but i get along with anyone. Also, I would like to find a house with some sort of outdoor area, like a porch or garden or terrace. Im really into old Queenslanders and have always wanted to live in one so if thats what you have, I'm happy. Seen as i am a student, the only other requirements i have are internet and a desk. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
