My girlfriend and I just moved to Brisbane for my postgraduate study at UQ. My girlfriend is a professional speech language pathologist. We are both very outdoorsy and love to hike, climb, and beach. We prefer a quiet, clean home life and enjoy cooking for ourselves. We both love dogs.
Hi! I’m Liam, I'm an easygoing 27-year-old young professional. Originally from Townsville and have been in Brisbane for just over 3 years. My interests are music, reading and exercise. During the week I prefer to relax at home, work out and rest. I'm more active/social with my weekends but not looking for a major party house. 420 friendly but do not partake myself. Non-smoker, drink very rarely. My max budget is 200$/week, Currently live in Oxley and work in Petrie Terrace, so I'm looking to move closer to Petrie while avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city. Preferably a place with cool stuff to do like West End! Require private room with en-suite bathroom. Feel free to share more information or get in touch!
Dutchie goes Brisbane for 3 months! I am 27, living in Amsterdam and am super happy to be able to do part of my PhD at UQ and escape the wet and cold European winter. I will be staying from March-May. Will be working full-time, but up for fun things when I'm free. I am an easy going, chilled, happy soul that likes to have a laugh (I've noticed that the Dutch and Australian have similar humor). I enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places, but also love hanging out on the couch binge watching netflix. I exercise, but my even bigger hobbies are wine and food. Would love to live with some like-minded people to make my Aussie adventure even better!
Hey! I am about to start my first year at QUT studying primary education after 5yrs of ski instructing here and abroad. I currently work as a casual for a promotional company. When I'm not there you'll find me rock climbing, at the beach or hunting for the next amazing vegan cafe/restaurant! Currently living in the Redlands but am wanting to move closer to the CBD for uni, to be closer to friends and to my climbing gym. I'd love to live in a tidy place, that feels more like a home than a house. A place where everyone gets along and is social with one another but also allows me quiet time to study.
Hi, my name is Andy. I am 26 years old and work full time as a mechanical engineer. Looking for a share house to move into with 3 or 4+ others. Previously living in Annerley with 6 good guys for 5 months and am seeking somewhere new as looking for a room bigger than 3x3m. Ideally somewhere similar in that all the housemates hang out together, share the cleaning, have a few drinks, but also respect each others privacy. I have a car that I would like to park either undercover or on the street but other than that am fairly flexible. Outside of work I like sport/gym and to go away for 4x4/camping/hike trips on the weekend. Happy to come over after work to say hi.
Hey, I'm Kai! I'm currently studying at QUT and work casually in a hotel in Brissy. My lease with my current housemates is ending early February and I am looking for a place to live for 4-5 months as I'll be doing some traveling after. Somewhere closer to the city would be ideal, but not too fussed on that. I'm friendly, open and pretty chill so I'm easy to make friends with and hangout. :) Some days I like to have some down time by myself and other days I like to have fun and socialise. I can balance personal space and social times pretty well so no worries on that! I work as a housekeeper so I know a thing or two about cleaning. Not obsessed over cleanliness, but I do like to keep spaces clean and tidy so you don't have to worry about dishes left in the sink or toothpaste smeared on the basin. I like the outdoorsy stuff like cycling and kayaking, don't mind a cheeky drink or two and I'm always up for a boogey as well as video/card/board games. If not, I'll just be lazing around with a mate or two. I'm looking for responsible, good-natured, sociable and respectful flatmates who wouldn't mind making a new friend! Looking forward to meeting you. :)
Hey! Just looking for likeminded people to move in with. I’m a pretty chill guy who’s always up for a good laugh. I’m interested in making/playing music, filmmaking, travelling/hiking, going to live gigs, sport and keeping fit. I’m currently a student, studying a Master of Clinical Psychology at UQ. I will be working as a part-time tutor at UQ as well. I would prefer to move in with other students. Not much of a party-every-night type of person. Like to have a drink and go out every now and then.
Hello there! Here are a few quick points about me: • I will be working at the University of Queensland as a researcher/postdoc. • I work about 6 days a week • I have lived in shared houses most of my life in both the UK and Germany • Not much of a party animal, more into good wine, good food and an interesting conversation • In terms of hobbies: I like chess and cycling and I plan to start going to the gym in a bit more regular basis. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I am looking for: • Shared accommodation with one-two more people. • a neat tidy and organized property. • I would prefer to live in a non-smoking property, as it would help with my efforts of quitting smoking. • I love animals, so living with pets is not an issue. • My ideal flatmates would be the kind of people that I could share a glass of wine with, would be easy going, tidy and have sense of humor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I am currently in the UK waiting for my visa confirmation, I will be looking for a videocall inspection so I can get a feeling for the property and we can see if we feel we would be a good fit. Thanks for taking the time to read my ad!
I'm a happy, easygoing person. I enjoy my own space, but also interacting with my flatmates. I have a wonderful tenterfield terrier x (v. similar to a jack russell) dog who adores people. I am looking for somewhere long term preferably whilst I complete my studies at UQ. I enjoy taking my dog Rocket for bushwalks, reading, Netflix, socializing, having a quiet drink now and then and gardening amongst other things. I am not looking to be screwed around. I have looked at a few places now and what people say on their profile and what's in actual fact has differed. So please be honest in your descriptions as I'm not after time wasters. I am not looking to share with other couples. Cheers, Laura.
Hi! I am a second year uni student looking for a room to myself close to UQ. Wanting to move out on January 30. Max $200/week. Preferably all female roommates and close to my age (19). I spend most of my time out of the house but need somewhere quiet, clean and cosy for the next 6 months. I am very tidy, mostly keep to myself but am also very friendly and get along with all personalities. Please feel free to message me if you have a room available and you think we will get along!
My name is Alex, I have just finished my degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Queensland and have just started full time work. Looking to move in to a share house within the inner city Suburbs.
I'm studying science at UQ, in my mid 20's and about to graduate at the end of next semester. I work and study on campus so ideally looking for a place close to UQ. I love going for walks along the river, going out for coffee/drinks, the occasional road trip and cooking a good dinner. I'm relaxed and friendly and looking for a place to call home. I'm looking for a room with A/C thats big enough to fit a queen bed and study desk. I also need somewhere to put my car, preferably undercover but street parking is fine as well. Look forward to hearing from you! :)
I currently work in the city for a government agency and am looking for a room in the inner city suburbs. I'm clean, tidy, reliable and friendly. Looking for a social flat with potential new friends as I am new to Brisbane. I enjoy wine, finding new eateries, going on hikes and exploring new places. I love to travel and am a big fan of dogs too.
Thanks for looking at my profile! I am a young full-time professional in architeture who just finished masters at UQ after 6 years of studies and work in Brisbane and overseas; and now looking for a wholesome new place to move to. I am a low key and tidy person and I like to keep busy. I enjoy photography trips, bushwalking, cycling, iceskating, doing personal projects and quality times with friends. I travelled a lot in the recent years and lived in Sweden and Germany for some time until mid last year. I came from a Chinese background with an upbringing in Sweden and China. I can speak Mandarin and understand some German. I would like to be part of a breezy positive vibe in the household. I don't believe that flatmates should be just nice strangers, or necessarily best mates. Flatmates are flatmates: there are boundaries; but there is also an interesting relationship. Let me know if you agree. Looking forward to hear from you!
Hi! I’m a 22 year old girl from Norway looking for a place to stay for 4 months while I finish my degree at QUT. I am a clean and tidy person, and would appreciate living with people who are the same :-) When I’m not studying I like to hang out with friends, and explore new places around the city.
Hello potential housemates! I'm a pretty social person and would really like to find housemates that I could be friends with. I like to keep a tidy house and get weird satisfaction from a clean kitchen especially. Would ideally like to move into a place with 2-4 other housemates. I'm currently working but starting medicine at UQ in 2019. In my free time I mostly cook, read and tend to my (probably oversized) plant collection. I'm easygoing and always down for netflix or a good wine and cheese night. Hmu if you think we might get along and we can arrange to meet up :)
Full time software engineer at uq. I cycle to work everyday and enjoy being social, rock climbing, eating way too much, and board games. Fairly quiet and often away traveling. Will fix computers and buttons/hems and clean bathrooms/toilets. I'm looking for friendly housemates, a covered car park, a large room with a mirrored built in and good access to bikeways/shared zones. Will pay a little more for somewhere that has all of this.
I’m a full time teacher who isn’t home much during the week - I like to get up early Mon-Fri and make the most of a productive work day. Ideally I would be looking for a place within 25 minutes from Mt Ommaney. On the weekends I will either be a complete couch potato or constantly busy. Im looking for somewhere that my little dog Arlo could visit on weekends or stay full time. I’m vegan (happy to share with non vegans) and am passionate about the environment, music and yoga and wellness. I enjoy my own space but also like a friendly house-mate relationship to share a beer or wine with.
Howdy, my name is Luca. I'm a 3rd year Psychology major at UQ (studying full-time). I enjoy reading and spending my free time outdoors. When I'm not at work/study I like catching up with friends - as well as meeting new people. However, I'm mostly a quiet guy; I like to be organised and always keep my life neat and tidy. I'm looking for a place to live during the upcoming academic year (roughly February - November). Preferably looking to stay with another student(s). I'm keen to move in and make some new friends.
