I was unexpectedly divorced five years ago after a 30 year marriage. I've been mostly volunteering unpaid since then. I've recently returned from overseas where I was able to regain my equilibrium and now "I'm back", to begin again. I'm tertiary educated, spiritually aware and I've operated professional consulting businesses for most of my working life. I have little to show for it after my divorce, other than my educated and independent adult children. I have an office in Bulimba, I've resurrected two of my previous companies and I'm heavily engaged with getting these up. I hope to find a peaceful, orderly, respectable living space where I can relax, feel comfortable and "at home." I have a happy, accepting and open personality. I am clean, neat, compassionate, mindful, tolerant, non violent and respectful. I have no enemies and I harbor no animosities. I prefer female company. I prefer to eat healthily; I exercise, I do not smoke, I drink in moderation and never alone.
Hi, I'm Tessa and looking for a place to stay. I'm a PhD student at UQ, so during the week I'm working at Uni and during the weekends I'm often out and about. I like a place with privacy so I can rewind when coming home. I also love the occasional chat to tell all the good and funny stories that happened that day. I am very tidy, so I appreciate it if my housemates are also like that. I'm looking for a room with own bathroom. A rental price between 200-250 AUD/week (depending on what bills are included) would be great. If there's a bit of extra storage so I can put my stuff away that would be great. I do have a car so parking (on or off street) would be great. Love to hear from you if you think it would be a match. Cheers, Tessa
Hi! I am Julia, working and studying nearly all the time))). I love quietness and comfort, but I also enjoy to have a nice evening with mates. Easy going and friendly person. I do not mind about your pets. I'd love to hear from you soon!
My name's Georgia, I'm currently a full time law student at QUT. Outside of uni and work you will no doubt find my trying to sneak in a power nap wherever I can. I'm looking for something in the Milton, Toowong, Taringa, Auchenflower, Paddington areas, preferably with an unfurnished room and for a minimum of 4 months stay! I enjoy netball and tennis and pasta waaay too much, but it's all about balance though, amirite? I am a very clean and tidy individual who is very considerate of everyone's time and busy schedules. Can and will talk about Grey's Anatomy for days, but please, I'm not ready to talk about April Kepner leaving just yet. I would love for the people I moved in with to become friends as well as roommates. So please, call me beep me if you wanna reach me :) Georgia
Hi! I’m Laura, I’m 30 years old and I’m relocating to Brisbane in early April to take up a position at UQ. I’m from Sydney but have been living in Cambodia for the past year, and Canberra for 6 years before that. I love coffee and cheese and playing sports and when I get a chance I love to cook up a storm in the kitchen. On the weekends I like to enjoy a mix of socialising, weekends away and hanging out at home. I’m looking for a room in a share house (preferably with just one other female housemate) that is spacious, tidy and clean and will provide me with a comfortable place to relax and hang out. I’ve done the sharehouse thing for many years and am a respectable and tidy housemate - very happy to share a meal, glass of wine or Netflix session when the opportunity pops up but also respect the need for privacy. Hoping my new housemate can also show me the cool places of Brisbane!
Working professional. Very relaxed and easy to talk to. Can make cocktails or drink wine and cheese. Not a party goer any more but always keen for a bbq or beach run. Don’t want to live near the train lines. As where I live currently I’m losing sleep. Also I’d pay a little extra to have a car park under cover. I also have a washing machine, fridge, tv and bed coming with me.
Hi there! My name is Dylan. Looking for a friendly, respectful and reasonably clean place to live. Studying full-time at UQ. I am an easy going person who is always keen to catch up over a few beers every so often. I enjoy training, gaming, reading and also watching plenty of movies. My main focus is to finish my studies by mid next year. Any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)
HI! There isn't much to me i work full time (6 days a week) in sales. I'm pretty social but can also pretty well keep to myself with my laptop (most of the time convincing myself I'm working 4 hours in to a suits rewatch). don't be afraid to shoot me a dm if you think id suit well.
I AM - quiet, clean, sociable, interesting, busy & fun. I have to do 2 month work placement in Brisbane and doing PhD as well - busy :(. Love good company, cooking, wine, coffee. I am organised, neat, respectful :). Thanks heaps for your consideration.
I'm clean, tidy and clean up after myself. I'm a very social person and very laid back also. I'm not the typical teenager to go out partying every weekend, but I do enjoy having a couple on the weekend to relax. I work full time so you'll hardly see me during the day. I love going out to eat, and socialising and hanging out with people in general.I also love going to the gym too.
Friendly, laid-back student in last year of study. Living out of town at the moment, but looking to move closer to the CBD for work. Love board games and chill nights in watching movies. Reliable and honest. Knows when people need space and when they need to go out on the town for a well earned drink!
Hi, I'm Lisa, I am clean, tidy and sociable. I will be moving to Brisbane in July. I am looking to rent a bedroom in a house share or going flat/house hunting with like-minded people :) I am a student, very open-minded and up for anything! I like to go out and explore, I love to cook or go out for dinner or drinks.
Hi i'm Caitlin 😊 I'm studying a bachelor of primary education at UQ (st lucia), currently in my second year. I'm generally pretty quiet, not really into massive loud parties but would like to live somewhere I can chill out with the mates. I'm vegan, I love animals (I don't have any pets of my own atm, but expect me to get distracted if I see a dog...). Would love to live with someone with a good sense of humour, who I can get in some quality banter with.
I'm a UQ student currently studying science. I live with my friend in Logan but want to find somewhere a bit closer to UQ. I usually keep to myself as most of my studying and hobbies i do on my computer. I'm pretty quiet but i enjoy having a couple of drinks on the weekend. I do Judo out of UQ and would like to do basketball if i find the time. I've only recently moved to Brisbane so i'm likely to just go to random places just to wander I enjoy gaming and watching netflix so a good internet connection is required. I'm a very flexible easy going person. I'm clean as well and leave places as i find them most of the time and aim to do a "house" clean every few weeks.
Hello there! My name is Becca :) I am a 25 year old student who has just begun a Masters of Dietetics at UQ (evidently, I reaaaally enjoy food and cooking). Between this and work, I generally lead a pretty busy life and am home similar hours to an office-worker. While I do have a tendency to hermit myself during the week while I'm in study/exam mode, I am still undoubetedly a sociable lass who enjoys a chat, a Netflix get-together on a rainy Sunday, or a nice, quiet wine on a Friday afternoon. I have a partner-in-crime (my dog, Pablo), who will evidently be needing to relocate with me. He is a totally loveable little goofball of a staffy - LOVES humans and adores cuddles. His nickname is Sloth, as he tends to do nothing during the day/sleeps when no-ones home. All in all, he's a perfect housemate, and leaves things just as clean as I left them. My main priority is that any potential housemates also love dogs, as Pablo always enjoys chilling with the humans or being a fellow couch potato with you if I'm at uni/work. I'm currently in the process of attending a bunch of house inspections in Bardon/Taringa/Indooroopilly area and looking to move into a place mid-March/end of March. All properties are 3 bedrooms, with an outside area absolutely essential (good for Pablo and I like an outdoor area if anyone wishes to have friends over); at this stage rent is looking roughly at $150-$160/room for all the properties. My parents (by luck) just downsized from a giant house in Kenmore to an apartment (and so had to refurnish because none of the furniture fit), so I pretty much have enough stuff to furnish a small home (particularly if you have no furniture to bring over with you), with the exception of a sofa and beds. SO if you are looking to set up shop in a place that actually feels like a home (i.e. share the occasional meal if we're all on the same schedule, the freedom to invite friends over, enjoy a good movie night or beer), then please feel free to message me!!
Hey there, I'm a pretty easy going person who loves the outdoors. I work full time in a QC lab and an either playing hockey or hiking somewhere on the weekend. My current housemates are just about to finish up building their house so currently looking for a new place to live. Looking for somewhere social and respectful.
Hi Potential Flatmates! I’m Smriti - an easy going gal from Brisbane looking to move in to a clean, tidy place to call home. I recently graduated from UQ and am now working full-time here in Milton. Therefore, I would be away at work most of the time during the week, and away with friends and fam during the weekend. But I also love me some quiet days where I can chill with my flat mate over dinner and drinks!. I am super adaptable, and like to keep my space clean and tidy.
I mainly keep quietly to myself but also love to socialise when I have the time. I run a small business and will be returning to my 5th year of Architecture at UQ in July. I work from home so its essential that I have a high speed internet connection of 30mbps+ with plenty of data, and im happy to pay an excess to accommodate this. I am VERY clean and tidy. Extremely respectful and polite person. Tech wizard, I can fix ANY issue you're having with your computers or IT anytime for free. I will be bringing a small router (not a modem, the box the main internet connection plugs into) to create my own WiFi network in the house (if thats okay, it will not effect your systems or performance at all) for a VPN and security features that you're welcome to join and use. I generally use more electricity than the average person so I will be tracking all of my power usage to pay my share of electricity fairly. Depending on the living arrangements and/or space restrictions I am happy to share my 55" 4K HDR TV with the house. When I use a space I make sure I leave it the way I found it, if not cleaner. Great with kids as I have an infant nephew. I dont mind moving somewhere with kids, as long as they don't yell too much. Very handy with tools and household repairs or maintenance.
Hi! I am a young professional (recent graduate in finance and economics). I am a clean, considerate and friendly housemate. I love to have a chat but also respect each other's space and privacy and if you have a dog.. I volunteer as tribute to help you walk it. I have lived in a sharehouse for four years but due to my old share house being sold and my old housemates moving city, I am looking for a new sharehouse. My hobbies include reading, netball, chess, hiking, volleyball, snowboarding and knitting (I took it up while listening to lectures in university). Please consider me as a housemate for your property. If you have any questions or would like to meet me, please do not hesitate to contact me :) Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! Brooke :) UPDATE: $170per week is the maximum I’ll pay. Also, I have a queensized bed and a wardrobe. Thus I do not see myself moving into anything that is furnished or above $170 a week. Thank you :)
I am a friendly, open-minded and flexible person, and I am very open to sharing accommodation. I care very much about the environment and the ocean, and I recently graduated with a degree in marine science. I am moving to Brisbane where I'll be working in a research lab at the University of Queensland, so I would like to live somewhere with reasonable access to the campus in St. Lucia. I love to cook, so I am also hoping to find somewhere with a great kitchen! I would love to find some fun people to live with, I like to be social and be around people but also can enjoy spending time on my own. (And I am allergic to cats, but I have happily lived around dogs my whole life)
I am currently looking for a place close to Indooroopilly as its closer to work. In my free time I enjoy cooking with a glass of wine or a beer. I try to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle, as and when I can find the time. I want to put my gym membership to the best use :) Love exploring new places whenever I get the chance. I am quite chilled, hoping to live with someone closer to my age with similar hobbies.
I'm an artist who works part-time in hospitality to pay my bills. I'm a very relaxed housemate, clean and friendly. Very happy to hangout and make friends, but am pretty busy so I'll be out of the house a bit. Looking for a nice housemate/s to make a nice home with :)
