Hi all, My name is Ed. I am a pretty easy going bloke. I am a very active person who loves his fitness. My current lease will run out in January 2017 and as such I am looking to find new accomodation. I work full time and train every afternoon so I will rarely be around. I am super clean, tidy and respectful. If I sound like someone you could live with please feel free to send me a message :) Cheers Ed
Hi everyone I am an Melbournian who is living in Singapore. In November 2016, I am moving to Canberra or Sydney for a few months with my Singaporean GF. We prefer a furnished room in a clean place and are happy to share bathrooms. - Being close to a supermarket is an important consideration. - Animal tenants are a plus - Sadly, I am NOT cool and don't smoke. In Singapore, we own property, have tenants and have been paying tenants in the past. We know how to co-exist happily with other people and maintain premises. We are quite responsive to the needs to our housemates and can play hermit or socialite roles equally well. Want to know more, send a message and we can look for a productive house-sharing arrangements! Merry Halloween David
Hello!! Moving up to Canberra from Melbourne in January for full time work and looking for a room to stay. I like to think im super fun to be around. Really active, love having a chat and sharing a drink or going an adventure, as well as appreciative of peoples personal space and down time. Hit me up :)
Hi I'm Wasim Im a funny out going friendly dude. I grew up in a house with 10 people so I know how to share stuff as well as workloads and live cohesively with oodles of other people. I'm the type of dude that if I'm doing my own dishes and yours are in the sink I'll probably help out and do yours as well. Im looking to stay somewhere that's semi close to my work on Marcus Clarke St. I'm a full time office manager but I promise I'm not a bore! I like to gym, read and enjoy drinks with good company. I'm a great cook (slow poached noodles with spicy thai seasoning anyone?) and am neat and tidy although not anal. Thanks for reading!
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but not overly boisterous person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Hey! I'm Sahra, 20y/o female (The one in the white dress) looking for roomates preferably already in a house to move in with! I'm very easy going and fun. I'll be started work as a registered nurse in Feb 17 so looking to move in mid to late Jan! I love animals, being outdoors, the occasional drink or two. I'm a very clean and neat housemate and understand the need for people to have their own space but also love to hang out!
Hello! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane for 3 months for work. I just finished uni, studying economics. As a housemate, I like to socialise with the occasional wine, but definitely am not a party gal. I don't smoke or have any pets, but I do have a boyfriend who would visit occasionally (he lives in Brisbane, so not that often). I enjoy keeping a clean home so if you do too that would be perfect. As i'm only coming down for a little while i really need the room to be furnished, with a bed at least. Let's chat!
I am in my final year at ANU, and my friend and I are looking to find a place to live. We are looking for a three bedroom place that is close to ANU but also to Dickson and would love to either find someone with 2 spare rooms or find a roommate to join us in a new house. We are both friendly, clean people who enjoy a chat over wine or a movie but also respect everyones space and need for time alone. Ideally we would like to move in in late November. If you are interested in joining us send me a message
So.. I am a 26 year old guy currently living in Melbourne. I recently got a job in ACT Health and planning to move to Canberra soon. I always see life very positive with a smile . Depending upon what you want me to be, I can either be a great friend or a good housemate (or both) . But I am a bad cook. Drawback of being spoon-fed all my life by my parents. So if you are my housemate you will surely see the funny side of my cooking miseries. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. Yep.. I am boring. But hey it is always nice to have a sober housemate friend who can drive. I am a movie buff and always up for Netflix, Movies and dinner with my mates.
I may be young but I'm responsible and I pull my weight, I clean up after my self and I'd never miss rent !! I look after myself and others around me, I can have fun but I can also be great to chat with !! I want to become a youth worker and I'm currently at CIT making that happen :) Had rough up bring , no family but I'm still trying to make most of life , any room anyone :)
I am a Canberra local who enjoys staying fit, music and travel. I am respectful of others and like to keep a clean and tidy household. I work full-time in IT and have active social life. I am easy going and like to get to know people but i'm also happy doing my own thing. I would be interested in teaming up to rent a house as I already have my own furniture and appliances. I am available from early November.
Hi, I'm a postgraduate student looking to share a place with sociable people (no worries, I also have great respect for private space). I prefer gathering and hanging out with friends for a round of drink every now and then over wild party nights. A casual chat at home while sharing a drink will also do the trick--add some video games and sports in the mix too! Cheers!
I am moving to Canberra on Saturday 29th October, however have organised short term accomodation until I find the right place! I am 24 (will be 25 in Dec) and have just secured a full time position as a flight attendant working for Cobham Aviation. I am originally from NSW however have been working overseas as a dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines for the past 7 years. I will also be studying a Bachelor Sport and Exercise Science part time at UC in Feb next year. I enjoy all things sport as I like to be active as well as travel and cooking. I am ideally looking for someone to share with for at least a year and I would like to find a place that has our own bathroom too. I have just bought a new car so I am also looking for a place that has a covered car park. I am a very clean and tidy person who is always up for a chat, but I also greatly value and respect personal space as well. Please let me know if you think I would be a fit in your place or if you are interested in a team-up situation.
Hi, I'm Phoebe, a first year ANU student. I'm studying PPE and Art History and work a part time job which keeps me pretty busy. I'm looking for a place with my friend Alastair, also a student. We're both clean and respectful people who are open to sharing dinner and a glass of wine but also having our own space :)
I'm currently studying full-time at UC and working two part-time jobs. I have been living in Canberra for nearly a year coming from the Central Coast. I like to be social and chat but also understand the line of wanted privacy. I am clean and willing to pitch in where as needed. I'm quite easy going and enjoy having or good laugh or listening to some good tunes.
Hi, I'm Cameron, 24, and I'm moving up to Canberra to start a new job. I've lived in Melbourne my whole life, and in the past, I've been at uni studying chemistry and graduated with my Masters. The two things I spend the most resources would be travel and music. I like getting outdoors too, and always up for trying new things. I stay on top of mess, and do actually like cooking. I consider myself a social person, but considerate of others' space.
I start Full time work in Hume on 14.11.16. looking for a room from 3 months to a year. Married man looking for accomodation during working week before relocating family. Clean and tidy, non smoker. Full time work, starting 14.11.16 driving trucks locally. Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm. Looking to stay from 1 week to 6 months. Will return home(Wollongong) most weekends. Would rather a furnished room with bills included. Willing to pay a month up front
What makes me great to live with? The generosity with which I share my wine! But seriously, I'm later year ANU student looking for a place to call home in 2017. Currently solo backpacking around Europe, so I guess I could call myself independent, but also friendly and down to earth. Have share-housed a couple of times before, and spent the last six months in hostels, so I'm keenly aware of being a considerate housemate. (Email/website is currently best contact)
My name is Brendan, I am 19, currently studying at the ANU (Development Studies and International Security). I used to live in France and have traveled quite a bit! I currently live in university accommodation but am very much looking forward to having my own space, as I'm not an avid every Thursday night drinker like most people in college haha! I work part-time at BWS and at the Canberra Olympic Pool.
I'm 22, working multiple jobs, super reliable, easy going and very tidy when it comes to shared spaces, I'm pretty quiet and prefer nights in but still keen to hang out with a drink and a game or movie every now and then
I work full time in government like most people in this town. I enjoy cycling, bars, road trips, and smashed avo brunches. I'm clean, easygoing and respectful of others' space. All the good things you want in a housemate. Active outside the house but am always happy to chat over dinner or a glass of wine! Available to move in anytime between now and November 13!
nursing student, singer, works on llama farms. I'm a simple guy who gets on with pretty much anyone who has a sense of humour. I have a dog, Blue Bear, house trained and goes to work with me so we'd only be home in the afternoons. My lease is ending so Blue Bear and I are needing a room pretty soon. I am clean, organised and considerate of others. Its been really hard finding a room for me and Blue Bear so any help would be greatly appreciated. Love to cook. Pineapple on Pizza is Satan incarnate though.
My Name is Jen. I am a single, 22 year old, moving to Canberra around November to December. I am currently in my final year of Uni, and I'm starting a grad job in Canberra with the APS in January 2017. I enjoy going for runs, to the gym, reading and just hanging out with friends. I am laid back and easy to get along with. I am looking to not only share accommodation but to make new friends.
Bubbly, outgoing and neat individual, who likes going to the gym and exploring the outdoors. I don't smoke or get rowdy, and am looking to live with friendly people as I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for full-time work. I'm sociable and definitely will hold my end of the deal when it comes to household chores! I don't mind having a beverage with my flatmates, eating good food and having a tv show marathon. But I also am respectful of personal space and giving people their own down time.
Social, friendly professional newish to Canberra originally from Sydney, like to keep fit and healthy. Usually keep busy with work/gym/study but also like to go out to take the edge off :) Happy to do my own thing or have dinners/drinks together Cheers
HEY! I'm neat, clean, quiet. I'm good with house work and chores, not afraid to take on some responsibilities. I'm great with pets, especially dogs. I'm just interested to get on with my studies , explore Canberra, and focus on working on things that will get me somewhere in life. =)
Hi, my name is Jade. I am 21, moving from Perth Western Australia for a job in Canberra! I am really social and friendly, however I will be studying and working full time, so I probably won't be at the house all that much! I am an easy-going, friendly and clean housemate, hit the gym a fair bit, but I'm also happy to have a Friday night pizza and beer, and hang out with housemates. Alternatively, I am also more than happy to just do my own thing, but would prefer to live with people who love a chat, might want to come on a road trip, or give advice to help me learn to ski over weekends in winter! :) I enjoy a balance between work, study and the rest, and love being active. I know no-body in Canberra. Not even a mutual friend of a friend, so I am pretty desperate to find a room from this website. I am driving across from Perth on boxing day, and hope to move in by the 1st of Jan. I have no furniture but I am keen to buy my own once I get over, so no stress if the room is not furnished. Happy to live with guys/ girls/ older/ younger. Shoot me a text if I would be someone that you would like to live with.
I am moving to Canberra for work, working in civil construction. My job starts on the 7th of November so I am looking for a place to move into within the next fortnight My job is based in Hume so if i could find a place not to far from there would be a bonus. As I will be new to Canberra I am looking to move into a share house so that i get to meet new people and if possible i am looking for a furnished bedroom. I am originally from a small town called Bannockburn just outside of Geelong, Victoria. My interest are sport, travel and going to the pub for a few beers.
Hi my partner and I are seeking a share house/flat share from the first week in December. I am currently living in Canberra boarding with a family friend until my partner got a job here. We are both easy ongoing quiet and tidy people that have previously been landlords in Bendigo Victoria so we know how difficult it is to find the right tenants. Please contact me with what may be available around this time. Thank you.
From day-to-day, I love to cook, be healthy, practice yoga, go for runs, watch movies, read, and listen to music. Less day-to-day, I enjoy travelling abroad and road-tripping at home. I'm from Canberra, but have lived in the USA as a dual citizen; currently studying human rights and development studies at the ANU while working on the side. Also passionate about the environment and responsible consumerism.
I'm a first year ANU student who is looking for a new place to stay. I'm respectful and will always keep common areas clean. I love to watch movies and tv shows but am also a lover of books. I take my studies pretty seriously so when I have assignments I will pretty much be locked up in my room procrastinating. However, other than that I am quite sociable and enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I'm a pretty chill person and not much really gets to me that easily. Did I mention my love of animals? I seriously love animals. I had two dogs, a cat, a couple turtles, a hamster... In other words, I have no problems with pets. Also, I grew up in a bunch of different places (Malaysia and Japan just to name a couple) so I'm also really into traveling and learning about new cultures. Actually I myself am half Japanese and Australian so culture is one of my "things" I guess. If you're a friendly, inviting person who is open to living with a laid back person like me, please don't hesitate to contact me because I think we'd make perfect housemates!
Hi future housemates! I am Clare. I am seeking a decent sized room to place a queen bed with space for a table/chair/desktop computer which I use for study purposes. I have a houseful of furniture which is going into storage and I will only bring what I need with me. I've had a lease on a large house propery for two years which is ending soon and I am returning to the 'room only' accom option in a share house for the next year or more. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. Sportswise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra next semester. I am okay with the occassional group meal and chatting with other tenants or being independant depending on the vibe in the property. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. I can drop-by for an inspection and meeting most days/times, so let me know if you're interested. I'd prefer accommodation that is located in the surrounding suburbs of UC with easy access to public transport routes (ACTION buses). Thanks! PS: I am flexible with move dates around the 5-6th Nov. Either a few days prior or after that weekend is fine by me.
WHO: I’m planning to move from Melbourne to Canberra soon - I have my eyes on ANU in 2018 so I want to spend the next year working and getting myself set up in Canberra. I’m quiet, independent and prefer to keep to myself. I’m not unfriendly and am happy to chat now and then but I am definitely not a party person. I’m clean, tidy and organised – when you see me around the house it will most likely be when I’m cleaning or in the kitchen preparing my meals for the week. I’m (mostly) vegan, don’t drink or smoke, and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy sharehouse that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or drunkenness, and you don’t hang **** on me about my choices! I am looking for an unfurnished room that can fit a single bed, large chest of drawers, bookcase and desk. I will also need somewhere to park my car and some space in a kitchen cupboard for the bit of kitchenware I have. Internet access is also desirable. I’m hoping not to spend more than $200pw (plus bills) but would consider paying more for the right place. I’m hoping to stay long-term, but will also consider short-term opportunities. WHERE: As a newbie to Canberra I have no preference for area, so don’t be put off if your suburb is not in my list. My priority is finding the right place with affordable rent. WHEN: I can be flexible – hoping for mid- November but it will depend on what happens with work in Melbourne and, of course, when the right place is available. I would consider paying rent earlier than my actual move to secure the right place. HOW: I’m coming to Canberra next weekend (29-30 October) hoping to check out some places on the Saturday, and Sunday if need be. So if you would like to meet me and show me your place, or know more about me, please text or message me by Friday with a bit about your place and why you think I’ll be a good fit, and we’ll go from there. I might not be able to get around to everyone so the more you can tell me, the better!
Relaxed 22 year old male with a naturally happy disposition seeking place to stay while studying primary school teaching for 4-5 years Into video games and movies, always up for a chat or an impromptu adventure, ideally looking for a place I can feel at home and enjoy the company of the people I am staying with - I don't smoke and I drink occasionally I enjoy boxing for fitness/fun, am a mediocre table tennis and billiards player but make up for lack of skill with enthusiasm as I do with all aspects of life Am an experienced cook and live a clean minimalist lifestyle love animals so any home with pets would be well received
Don't be fooled by the age. I look and behave like I am in my thirties due to loving exercise and not having any children. I love yoga, pump classes, kayaking, hiking and riding my MB. I have been in Canberra for just over one year now, having come from WA. I need to rent until property prices improve in WA and I can sell my apartment. I have loved living in my present location but it is just too small and as I lived alone, I miss some human interaction. I am very clean, sociable but not into parties and certainly do not want to live with anyone into the drug scene. Small gatherings over dinner is my scene as well as socialising during and after exercise. I am looking for a trustworthy house mate who works full-time as a professional. Not looking for a best friend but by the same token it would be nice to have someone to chat with and hang out once in awhile. I have more female friends than males and would rather do yoga than play football and drink a decent wine over any beer. I am looking for an unfurnished room in a house with parking or storage options. Ideally close to a bus stop that services Civic.
I am an ANU student that's lived in sharehouses for the past 2 years. I mainly keep to myself but I am always up for a chat. I am into health and fitness and I am not really into parties but don't mind the occasional drink
I'm quiet to do my own things but also love to have as much as occasionally social activities with my housemates. Currently, I'm studying in ANU college. So I prefer a place near ANU which is no longer than 20 minutes bus-trip. But several days ago, I went to Fisher. That's a beautiful beautiful beautiful place. I love there, so if the house is in Fisher, I'd love to take 1 hour bus to school every day 😍. As for housemates, I have no specific request. Hope you can all have a awesome day!!! (Oh, BTW, I'm a Chinese.)
I recently graduated from ANU with an Honours in Geography and now I'm hanging out in Canberra just having a seriously lovely time. I'm into climate justice and poetry, and I like summer evening bike rides and I've just re-discovered Nick Cave (!!!). I'm a Ravenclaw, and my preference is cheap wine or expensive beer. Basically a classic Canberra leftie. I really want a house where people chat and hang out and cook together, not just hide in their rooms. I like places that are neat and tidy, and where everyone respects the space. I have two chickens (Taylor Swift and Lorde). They are good layers but don't have to come with me as pets aren't suitable for every house!
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.
I'm a 24 year old young professional, working as a dance teacher in a local high school, and studying game development at the AIE. I'm very easy going, organised, clean and tidy, and sociable. I'm a busy person and are out and about quite a bit, I am a dancer and keen on doing physical activity and Sport.
Hi! My name is Mandira, I'm a psychology student at the Australian National University. Looking for a roommate to move in with from February onwards. Probably somewhere near The ANU Campus. Please contact me if anyone's interested. :)
I have lived in Canberra for a year. I am from Lebanon but lived all my life in the Emirates. I am studying Biotechnology at ANU. In my free time I love going out with my friends to the movies and I am obsessed with watching TV Shows.
