I'm a fourth year arts/law student at ANU. I moved here from sunny Perth! I work full-time and study part-time. I love dogs, cooking, gardening, reading, progressive politics, and lots more. LBGTQIA+ friendly. I'm looking for a quiet and clean share house. I'm a homebody - I spend a lot of time at home studying when I'm not at work, but I'm always up for a yarn and a shared meal over wine. Please ask me anything I've missed!
I am a facilities coordinator working in the city looking for a studio or room with ensuite/ own bathroom in Civic or closeby suburbs. An ambivert, mostly keep to myself but wouldn't mind a drink or hanging out. Like to keep the place tidy and respect privacy. Into football, metal, anime, hiking and gaming.
I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am a non smoker. I am a very relaxed person. I have no pets but I am a pet lover. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs. Would like to find a roommate who is clean but not ocd clean. Looking for a room to rent or another flatmate similar to find something together.
Hello everyone, I am Merve, from Germany, and I’d love to be your new flatmate! I am a master student in Evolutionary Biology and I’ll be finishing up my mater thesis, starting in October, at the Brocks lab in the Earth Sciences department at ANU. Over the years I got to travel a lot and lived in a variety of places. I fought of monkeys from my sample sites in Hong Kong for 4 months, experinced polar bears and the northern lights in Svalbard for 6 months, went hiking throughout Sweden for 5 months and explored the US for a year. Throughout this time I have lived with many flatmates and enjoyed long discussions, amazing cook outs and meet amazing friends :). What I love most is to spend my evenings sharing some wine, amazing food and great conversation. I am also an enthusiastic hiker and love to explore nature around me. In my free time I also frequent bouldering gyms and I am planing to join the ANU mounteneering club for kayaking. Oh and I also dance some salsa, but I enjoy all kinds of music :)). I am somewhat of a science nerd and looove fossils as well as anything space related, but no worries I can somewhat contain myself ... at times :))). I am an outgoing person and never had problems approaching people, but since I am a student myself, I also respect peoples need for a quite home to study and relax as well. I am also a quite cleanly person since I like to feel cozy and comfortable at home. If you have any questions feel free to contact me anytime! Since I am currently still in Germany I would be more happy to set up a Skype meeting with you :)) Ideally I would like to move in in the beginning of Oktober. Hope to hear from you soon, Merve
Hi I'm Taylor, I am 21 years old and I am currently working full time in the city. I am currently living with someone who is moving to QLD at the end of our lease in October and the rent is too much for me to keep up on my own. I am wanting to move into a sharehouse as I enjoy the company of others and I am a very friendly and easygoing person ! :)
Hello! Aron and I are currently saving for a year long trip next year (which is why we're downsizing). We're pretty relaxed people, always up for a chat or a drink. We're not fussy about room size as we are in savings-mode at the moment. I've graduated and Aron has one semester left so we'll mostly be working. Let us know if you're interested in a chat and we'll happily answer any questions you may have.
I work fulltime on in IT and am looking for a nice place to stay instead of staying at a hotel longterm. I am from Brisbane and would be going home every second weekend or so. I am happy to share a glas of wine and a chat but also have my own life. I have shared before and know the importance of cleaning up after myself.
Who would like to TEAM UP with us??? Pepa and Sande are looking for a third roommate to join our search for a new property. Our current landlord is selling our home. Seeking something bigger (3-4BR) around Belconnen region. We're able to afford $250-300pw each ($500-600 total), so a third would increase our renting budget and we could get something nice and comfortable. MUST LIKE CATS. There is also a cat. No dogs please. One more cat is OK. Sande is a 36yo single female public servant with a very friendly, toilet trained cat called Yin (Yinneko). I used to be in the Army and spent most of my 12 year career living with housemates. As well as working full time, I'm still an Army reservist and sing in a band so I'm rarely home before 6 or 7 pm during the week and tucked into bed by 10. I like to get out of the house on weekends if the weather is nice: I'll generally go have a picnic or spend time with my friends but when I am home, I like to COOK (bake or meal prep), watch TV or listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks and crochet, sew, or craft. I read avidly, write (songs/journaling) and draw. I'm passionate about overseas travel and will happily help you plan any trips if you'd like assistance - I should be a travel agent, but unfortunately it doesn't pay enough LOL I have wheels and all of my own furniture including a TV with surround sound, 2 and 3 seater lounge suite, TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine, and of course my own bedroom furniture as well as a few bookcases, large desk and a 6-seater outdoor setting. If you have any of your own furtniture, I am happy to discuss what goes where - 3 people in a 4 BR place can make use of the extra bedroom as a second lounge, which could be a nice touch, and I firmly believe you can NEVER have too many fridges!! :) Pepa is a friendly, happy and tidy 21 year old Public Servant from QLD. She travels interstate regularly to spend time with her boyfriend and family. She generally keeps to herself so she can study but does love to chat and spend time with friends. She only has bedroom furniture at this stage and her footprint is small. Without her own car (yet), Pepa will need to be near a bus stop so this will need to be considered when looking at rentals. If you don't like cats, are allergic or have indoor pets of your own, this may not be the ideal situation. Yin is an independent DSH Rescue and she just LOVES people. Her favourite passtimes include eating and sleeping. Sande is happy to introduce Yin to another cat, and is willing to put in the time and effort needed to ensure a harmonious environment for all creatures involved, provided you reciprocate. Sande has a few ex-housemates who are more than happy to discuss what it's like living with me. I've remained friends with most of them. I'm looking at 1 year leases with option to continue beyond this if circumstances remain extant.
Hello, I am currently looking for a room around Kingston or nearby suburb. I am currently doing my masters and working part-time in real estate. I am easy going, friendly, tidy, and responsible in paying my share. I have experienced flat sharing in Singapore for many years before coming to Australia to start a new journey. I have a bubbly personality. Most of the time I will be busy due to studies and work, but I can still mingle with housemates at dinner or whenever I can. :)
I'm quiet, friendly, non-smoker. I work and study so I'm pretty busy. I will also spend most weekends away as I keep my horse in a small country town an hour from Canberra and go riding there most weekends. I'm moving from Newcastle to Canberra for work and am looking for somewhere that allows pets. My pets are two outside dogs. A poodle and a cocker spaniel. They are older dogs and low energy, friendly, well behaved, well trained and don't chew on things or dig holes. If needed I can leave the poodle with my mum and just bring the one dog with me (but it will break my and her hearts). I'm not fussy on whether or not it is furnished or has internet. I have a car so at least on street parking is needed. I'd prefer to live with someone neat and clean and mostly quiet.
My name is Francisco, I am a PhD student from Spain who is coming to Australia for a 3 months research stay. I love to play and watch all sports (specially basketball and tennis), but also enjoy talking and listening to other people. I would like to enjoy the stay, visiting the best places in Canberra and making some new friends.
Looking for a relaxed and tidy household in North Canberra. I’m very handy around the home, respectful of your space but do love a chat over a cup of tea. After working my full time job as a Law Clerk in the city, I love a good Netflix series, cooking a hot meal (spaghetti bolognese is my go-to), and baking. For fun I am part of the local Fishing Club so i go on coastal trips often, or I go back to Wagga and visit family. On weekends I can typically be found wherever they serve a chicken parmigiana! I have a small moodle dog part time, and would preferably like a room with my own bathroom or sharing with only one other person.
Hey all! I am Serena, 23 years old and from Sydney. I am a full time professional, working in events and communications. I am moving to the ACT for work. I love being active, watching sport and baking. I'm always down for a glass of wine and a Netflix session. Initially looking for a place for 6 months and then depending on how it all goes extending my stay.
Hi I am a 25 year old assistant project manager working with the public service. I am new to Canberra (originally from Sydney) and am looking to find a place with some cool, friendly, like-minded people. I am very easy-going and friendly. I'm also neat, tidy, clean and respectful. My interests include skiing (snow trip anyone?), scuba diving, rock climbing, soccer, and travel. When I'm feeling less adventurous I love a good book, watching TV shows or chilling out with a video game. I'm looking for flatmates with whom I can chill out with and share a home-cooked meal and a beer/wine/coffee/tea every now and again. While I don't have much furniture yet beyond my own room, I am more than happy for a trip to IKEA to grab and contribute essentials: if things are needed. Hit me up if you're looking for a fun and down to earth flatmate or are looking to team up.
I'm sociable and looking for flatmates to share in a nice, friendly house that respect privacy but are also willing to socialise, I am very easy going, clean and am used to living with others. Message me if you're interested!
Living in Canberra working full time in Manuka I'm looking for flatmates to share in a nice, friendly house that respect privacy but are also willing to socialise, I am very easy going, clean and am used to living with others. Message me if you're interested!
Hi guys! I'm originally from a small Northern NSW town of Grafton and have recently relocated to Canberra. I'm currently working two jobs; one casual hotel position and one part-time airline position so I'm kept pretty busy. I only know a couple people here so would love to experience all the best of it with new friends. As a millennial, I'm pretty obsessed with my TV series and music. I'd love to have a good relationship with my flatmates and will try anything with an open mind. I'm pretty competitive when it comes to games and I love a good night out. However I also love my downtime so privacy is most definitely welcomed. I'm all about a clean living space and reliable roommates so paying rent and cleaning won't be an issue. I'm not too sure how long I will be in Canberra for so am only listing 6 months, but the option to stick around for longer would be a plus. I'm also not too fussed on where I'm located so my 'preferred locations' are definitely not set in stone. Send me a message and we’ll go from there!
we are a young professional couple, who are quiet, clean and like to keep to ourselves, but aren't against a few games nights or a casual conversation, we both have full time apprenticeships/traineeships and Emily has a casual weekend job as well. We have a small well mannered dog named Max, he is a whippet x staffy (probably 80% more whippet), who doesn't bark, unless provoked and is well trained. Location isn't an issue as we both drive and don't mind the distance, we plan on sharing housing until we can find a place for ourselves, number of roommates doesn't matter either does gender but we would prefer non smokers if at all possible.
Hi, my name is Sam, my 11 yr old Spoodle dog and I are moving back to Canberra from Brisbane in early September and looking for a room in inner north or inner south Canberra. My dog is a very friendly poodle mix, so non shedding and house trained. He is a funny boy who will make you laugh. He loves other dogs so if there is already a dog in the house that would be great. I run a creative small business (internet and markets based) and work part time in retail as well. I am from Canberra so already know the community well and have missed it! I am a quiet home body type, young at heart, fun, considerate and reliable. I don’t have to live with any particular ages, am currently sharing with people in their thirties. I’m a non drinker and non smoker, don’t mind if you are a light drinker, but am not after a party house. Am happy to team up and rent a house with 1-2 others.
We're a couple of pals, both female and queer, who are looking for 2 rooms in a share house to move into asap. We're good friends and are pretty social creatures so we'll chat to just about anyone but also know when to get out of your face and will probably be out of the house quite often skateboarding, drinking or catching up with friends. We both work full time, a public servant and a tradie. We don't have our own pets to bring, but ADORE them. At this stage we're looking for a place until about Jan and would love some chill, awesome housemates to get to know
My name is Jinny working full time at child care. Recently moved to Canberra from Brisbane. And i am from south south Korea. I am a dog lover and like cooking drinking watching drama movies hanging out with people learning new languages.
