Hi! My name's Phoebe and I'm looking for a 'home' to move into. Originally from Newcastle, I graduated from my Economics degree and found work as a public servant in Canberra about 2 years ago. I'm really looking for a home where the housemates get along and who wouldn't mind teaming up for dinner (or drinks) sometimes. I really enjoy DJ'ing (don't worry, I'm not noisy), and learning the drums (again, don't worry I don't have a kit at home), and I'm currently teaching myself how to produce music. I'm also interested in street fashion and dress accordingly on the weekends :) So moving in with other creatives would be a plus! I'm clean, friendly and easy-going, and also respect other people's privacy as I need down-time myself sometimes. If you are looking for someone who would fit in well with your current house, please contact me! A few miscellaneous things: I'm vegetarian (trying to be dairy free too), I work in the city so would like somewhere nearby if possible, looking to pay less than $200 a week, I make a mean vegan curry ;)
I am a youthful 55yrs post-surgery Transgender person who is very easy going. I'm currently at University of Canberra studying Bch Of Public Health. I am mostly seeking to join an existing sharehouse with space, although starting a new share property is an option for me too. Just 2-4 people including me would be preferable. I would be willing to sign-up to a joint lease with other tenants if necessary. I can contribute furniture to the property, although I don't have a dining suite or a lounge suite. Alternatively, I can place unused items in a dry, lockup garage if available. * Kitchen = large twin door fridge, microwave and just about every cooking item you could want! * Living = large timber pieces including wall units, bookcase, hallway table and entertainment unit (for television, etc). * Laundry = front loading washing machine, ironing board, etc. * Outside = lawn mower, whipper snipper, water hose, etc. * Bedroom = I have a six piece timber bedroom setting. I have an existing NBN Internet contract with unlimited data and a 100mb speed connection. It also includes the Optus 'Fetch' TV with 6 channels and access to netflix, etc. If your place already has an internet service, I may be able to transfer my account to other tenants in the property where I currently live. I am available to move-in to a new property quite soon - within two/three weeks depending on mutual circumstances. My share of any rent would be $200 per week maximum (I am a Uni student after all.) I'd prefer a property that is in good condition and located within reasonable travel distance to the University of Canberra. But i'm flexible for the 'right' property. That's it !!! Hit me up if you have a large bedroom in a sharehome that may be suitable.
Full-time professional working with the APS in Barton. I enjoy my sport and often ride to work in the mornings. I am clean, tidy, and can be social while remaining respectful of boundaries. Looking for a place with similar values. I am French-Australian so naturally, I enjoy red wine, cheese and white flags. Cheers, Damien
I love to cook (fresh pasta, veg-heavy, baking, chocolate), read (books are my kryptonite) and seek out ways to progressively engage climate issues in systemic and community-based ways. I love to keep a tidy and fresh home, shop at the Epic markets and Aldi, mostly, drive and cycle for work. Regular yoga, irregular hiking, hanging/cooking with friends and the occasional dinner out make life delightful. Art lover. I moved to CBR to study public policy to enable me to engage on the social and economic roots of climate and environmental challenges, and have just accepted a full-time (dream) job on climate adaptation and resource management (wish me luck). In living arrangements, I really enjoy pooling resources and putting energy into a dwelling into a home, especially through shared shopping and cooking, and enjoying and being a gentle presence in home. While kids and animals love me, I'd like to live in a child-free/light home; pets are welcome although I currently have none of my own. I tend to be an early riser, and enjoy warm, well-lit spaces with gentle people who enjoy chewing over progressive ideas and at least a little practice of same. :-)
Hi there ! My name is Manu Prakaash, I am 33 years of age, and am from New Delhi, India. I have been a working professional for the Government of India for a while, and have now decided to take a break from my job and pursue further studies. I have got admission in the master of International Relations Program at the ANU, Canberra, which commences on 23rd July, 2018. However, I would be arriving in to Canberra on the night of 14th July, 2018, as the orientation week commences on 16th July. I am a matured, confident, and understanding & kind hearted individual. I am well travelled internationally and have many friends from across the world. Adjusting to the environment and culture in a country like Australia should not be a problem for me at all. And I am sure I would be accepted easily and would be able to make friends. I am looking at sharing a furnished flat with other people. I am flexible in terms of my requirements with regard to potential flatmates, as long as they are reasonable individuals.
Hey all, my name is Nick. I'm looking for a room with its own bathroom within 10-15 minutes of the city (North or South is fine by me!) I'm a public servant and relatively new to Canberra. I'm social and friendly and love getting out and about to new restaurants, hiking spots etc. (you name it!), no stranger to the occasional Netflix binge, or the odd drink. I'm looking for roommates I can hang out with, but also appreciate the need for quiet time. I have lots of furniture to contribute if needed, and I'm happy to move into an existing house or team up with people looking to move.
Me and my gf, I think we are very helpful, understanding and compassionate couple. We both are moving in from perth, she is a nurse and I am a chef. We are looking anywhere near city and/or public transport. Please contact me, thanks heaps.
We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and our parents have finally sold up the house, so we are looking for somewhere to live...from September 2018. Claire has been renting/share-housing since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. A simple description of of us is boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna-bed times who enjoy walkies. Claire is your average human - talks, exercises out of necessity, watches TV (mostly ABC), likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker enthusiast, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and reclaiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri night-Sun) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband + Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with the occasional visit by Luke. We would like an unfurnished room, and do have some additional furniture so happy to share or loose it. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra/Queanbeyan, commutable to Deakin. Preferably we’d like you to like indoor dogs because Chilli hates the outdoors. There is the possibility for Chilli to live with his dad + fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
Hello! Im Jialin, an ANU law/arts student. I consider myself to be neat, easygoing and chill. Im happy to be social and love the occasional chat with roommates but privacy and ‘me time’ is important to me too. If you like to keep to yourself, I’m definitely cool with that as well. I try to keep myself busy and am out during the day but I love off days to cook and watch Netflix. I have a pretty healthy lifestyle - I try to sleep early, go to the gym a few times a week and am trying to get into a more plant based diet. I’m from Sydney, so I go back every few weeks during the weekend. Also I love travelling, so sometimes during the semester break there may be a few weeks when I’m not around.
I'm sociable and friendly! I enjoy sharing a wine and cheese plate with housemates but also have a busy schedule and like my space and quiet time. Im respectful and tidy and am a great person to live with :)
29 year old professional, fresh off the plane from Perth. Looking for a place reasonably central to the city or inner south. I have an ancient cat who keeps to herself and won’t bother anyone. Sociable, but too old to hit the clubs every night!
I’m clean and neat but chill. I’m easy to get along with, enjoy socialising with my flatmates but also time to myself. Would be flexible to cooking meals together on a semi regular basis or not. I’m a part time student with a casual job.
I am a postgraduate student in my late 20s. I am taking a 2-year break from my career in the finance industry to study at ANU. I have lived in New York and Singapore, and I enjoy making friends with people of diverse backgrounds. In general, I am friendly and sociable. I enjoy getting to know my flatmates through a beer or a glass of wine, cooking and social outings. At the same time, I am tidy, clean and respectful. I respect personal space and I like to keep the apartment clean and tidy, in particular that I like to keep the kitchen clean after cooking. Hobby wise, I enjoying hiking, running, tennis, scuba diving and photography. I am looking for an apartment close to ANU. I will move to Canberra on Jul 14, and my move-in date is flexible.
Happy go lucky kinda lad, love an active lifestyle and one glass of wine that usually turns Into 5. Always up for a conversation and adventure. I work full time at a health food cafe in Kingston and occasionally do night shifts at my second casual job. Part time vegetarian/vegan (not a dick about it) I have a cat named Harrison and we are obsessed with watching Rupauls drag race. And I won't murder you in your sleep.
I am 100% Reliable, independent, I work full time, with no significant debt. I enjoy playing the guitar, riding my bike and being happy. I’m a glass half fulll person and I believe in honesty, honour and integrity. I am single and have no dependents living with me. I come with no drama or hang ups, I moved to the ACT 6 weeks ago to accept the job I’m doing now.
I am a fun and chill person to hang with, but I am also very respectful of peoples' privacy and space. In addition to this, I am very tidy and like to keep all shared spaces well-kept. I will also have no trouble paying the required rent on time and without delay as I am currently being financed by my parents.
Hi there, I’m looking for a new place since the current house I’m in is splitting up soon. I’m a 21 year old guy from rural NSW who is working for Google's Project Wing. I’ve been sharing my current house with 4 other people and I am used to cooking and a bit of house banter as well as keeping areas clean and sharing bathrooms. I usually do a bit of tinkering, hiking, photography, footy and mountain biking in my spare time. Let me know if you would be interested in sorting something out. Cheers Marcus
Heya I'm an ANU grad and have recently started my other degree too. As a person I'm an ambivert. I like to get to know people from all walks of life but also value privacy and personal space. I'm a clean and tidy person. I enjoy reading books, watching Horror movies and swimming! I value having good flatmates as I'd rather be friends with them then someone I just walk by in house. I'd be happy to chat about anything and everything over good food or just hibernate & watch Netflix!! Let me know if you have more questions for me. Thanks a lot
Mature, professional moving to Canberra and looking for a short term (up to early-mid September) room in any location that is within easy commute of Parliament. Not fussy on house but I do like it to be clean and would like flatmates that care about house hygiene (but are not obsessive). I would prefer a furnished room. I love soccer and kicking back with a beer/wine and having good conversation. Unlikely to be there at weekends as I have a home in Melbourne.
I am a postgraduate Digital Art student in ANU. I am an outgoing girl, but I need some personal time. I hope the accommodation which has a good traffic to ANU (bus or walk or bike within 30min) and the roommates who are tidy and easygoing, whatever male or female. My current tenantry term will finish on 30 Aug, but I 'd like to move before that date if I find my dream room. By the way, I love cooking and I have a Chinese chef certificate. If you want I can always cook dishes for you, HAHA.
