Hi! I'll be moving to Canberra from Canada in March and looking for a friendly home. I'm social and enjoy a nice chat or sharing a dinner with roommates, but also know the importance of having my own space from time to time. I've lived with many different people in different countries and I am very open minded and respectful of all lifestyles! I work in the disability services field, love Ultimate Frisbee, and the outdoors. I also enjoy a nice board game night every now and then! Looking for people who are open minded and respectful! As I am still in Canada, would love to skype to see if we would be a good match! Thanks!
I am a 23 yr old international student from Sri lanka. This is my 3rd year in canberra . I am a neat , quiet person who enjoys a occasional drink and a chat. I work at McDonalds Canberra city and is a UC student. I love pets , so no problem,if you have one as I'm not going to whinge about their fur 😉 .
I'm just a chilled out, easy going, clean and tidy person who is looking for a temporary place to stay with my partner and legendary dog. I just enjoy hanging out, playing with the dog, and having a chilled quiet night in most of the time, or a social chat and drink every now and then.
Hey, 😊 I'm Chris and I'm 26 and work full-time in finance. I'm easy going, tidy and handy around the house. I'm looking at moving to Canberra asap to be closer to work and friends. Some things I love include coffee, wine, hiking, sailing, reading, indoor plants and cooking - just to name a few. Also just started out as an amateur beer brewer, so stay tuned! I'd be keen to meet up briefly to have a chat and see if we'd be perfect housemates so please let me know!
Respectful of other peoples space, and I clean up after myself. Emotionally intelligent, and good communicator have lived in share houses for many years and not suffering from any mental illness. I'm flexible on the move date. I would prefer a maturer age share house, with reasonably quite people. Seeking a share house where the place is kept relatively clean.
Hey, I'm Kat :) I'm 33 and am relocating to Canberra from Brisbane for work in early to mid-February so am looking for a room (preferably with own bathroom and undercover/off street parking) within fairly easy walking or riding distance to the city. Good public transport nearby would be a plus, too. I’ve been told the inner north or around Kingston would be a good fit. I’ll be arriving in Canberra the weekend of Feb 9th, and looking to find somewhere within the following couple of weeks. I don't have a have a lot of stuff (mostly just bedroom things), so if you're pretty well set up and just have an unfurnished bedroom, then that would be ideal! I'd prefer to share with just one or two others and I'm not too fussed about your age or gender, but I'm keen for a quiet and relaxed home life. I think I'm a pretty decent housemate - I won't use up all the hot water, am energy-conscious, will drive you to/collect you from the airport, and I like things clean and tidy (doing other people’s dishes is my love language). I've never paid a bill late in my life, and will treat your space and things with respect. I’m a pretty early riser and do the normal work and gym thing during the week. I enjoy the outdoors, and will be looking to get involved with some kind of social sport (currently playing mixed touch, fairly poorly but with great enthusiasm, in Brissie). Personality-wise, I am an introvert and do need space and quiet to recharge. This doesn't mean I'm a room hermit, but rather that I am a pro at companionable silence and would prefer to have our home be a sanctuary, with most socialising happening elsewhere. That said, I am friendly, and more than happy to lend an ear if you want to unload about something or just crave a chat, and I'd like it if we did stuff together sometimes (hit the movies, have a drink, watch TV, go on a hike, whatever). Basically, I think it’s important we like one another! I'm left-leaning, open-minded and non-judgemental, and I come equipped with a sarcastic sense of humour. I'm interested in science (I have a degree in Geology), and being annoyed about politics and the state of the environment/humanity in general but also not doing a lot about it. I also enjoy art (though I know nothing about it), am getting back into reading (after having the love of it bludgeoned out of me by the aforementioned degree), adore people watching, philosophical thought experiments (okay, probs only one of these, but still), music, and keeping fit. If I sound like I might be your kind of people, hit me up and let's see if we mesh :)
Hi! My name is Isha and I will be moving to Canberra from Melbourne to begin my Masters' this year at ANU. I am 24 years old and easy going, friendly and clean. I enjoy spending time around others as well as having my own quiet time. I am looking to move to Canberra around the 21st of February.
I am 25 year old male from Sydney, starting Medicine at ANU. I would describe myself as reserved, un-confrontational, kind, competent cook. Relocating to Canberra with the intention to find employment.
Hi there! I'm Mel, 24, from Sydney. I'm moving to Canberra to be a consultant at a big 4 firm. I love to cook (and share my food), check out local bars and restaurants, and stay active. I like to eat out and catch up with friends after work so I won't be at home that often, although you will occasionally find me on a Netflix binge eating Cobs cheese popcorn. Additionally I'd go to Sydney once a month or so. While I like socialising and would like to be friends with my housemates, I completely understand that a house is a home and that is your personal space. I have lived in shared flats overseas in the past. I am looking for rooms/apartments in the Braddon and Turner areas as I would like to live walking distance from work.
Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid reader, and digital and film photographer. I'm looking for a share house that's both relaxed and sociable. Always happy to chat, but appreciate the value of alone time as well. I am quite tidy and clean up after myself, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
I'm a journo with SBS moving to Canberra from Sydney (from Melb originally). Work can be a bit all-consuming but when I'm home, it's great to have a chat or a drink with my housemates. I try to jog, cook and garden semi-regularly with varying levels of success.
I have 2 dogs, a maremma x and maremma x Labrador, they come with me everywhere so their unlikely to be left home alone. I’m a tidy and organised person I also enjoy cleaning, therefore living with tidy people is preferred. I’m usually out with the dogs to give them as much exercise as possible and am addicted to Netflix. I also have a really pretty tropical fish tank. I have elegant furnishings for an entire house except for bedrooms other than my own, though can help out in furnishing a room if needed. I’ld prefer to team up and apply for a rental with another person or two. Also interested in just renting a room in the short term
Hi future roomie/s! We are needing a place for about a month (from the 3rd of February to the 6th of March.) We ideally need to live fairly close to Civic (inner north or Kingston/Barton area) but we're not too fussy. We also would most likely need a parking space. I (Erin) am starting a full time contract in February and am moving from the Gold Coast but I have lived in Canberra before. Ryan is American but has been living in Australia for a year and a half. We're clean and tidy, world travelled, respectful and all round good people. You'll love us! If you have any questions, ask away! Can't wait to hear from you :)
hello! I’m looking for a room to rent ASAP! Or a three bedroom house! I am very chilled out and not a party go-er, I much prefer to stay in and watch some Netflix and chill in for the nights! I play a lot of sport so I wi be in and out, but will be home by 830-9 every night! If you want to know more just flick me a message
Hi, my name's Eeca. I work part-time at Canberra Outlet Centre and study full-time at ANU. When at home, I usually like reading, watching youtube, or going for a run. I think I'm relatively quiet, but I'm happy to chat too. I can share a bathroom and kitchen. I like a good washing machine, as I go running most days and so go through some sports gear... I'm a 35yr old male and I've just moved to Canberra for study, 2019-2021. I'm looking for a 6-12 month stay initially, anywhere near ANU or Fyshwick, or inbetween.
Hi.. I am Bernice and I'm 22. I am a masters student at ANU and I am looking for an accommodation close to college. I like to travel and I love watching movies, a lot of movies. I am looking for houses in Turner, Campbell, O'Connor, Braddon, Ainslie and Acton preferably. As a housemate I am clean and friendly, I am moving to Canberra in February. I am looking for like minded housemates.
I am a full time student at ANU in my third year of study and also work part time in Braddon. I'm often quite busy but during my free time I like to cook and walk/ride around the city. Looking for a quiet, neat and tidy place, but not averse to conversation.
Hi my name is Brent, I'm a 4th year advanced computing student at ANU where I also work part time. Some of my hobbies include board games, tabletops and video games, cycling and food. I enjoy socializing with my flatmates but also respect privacy and space. Would prefer a place close to ANU (with a car space) but flexible.
Hi, I'm Eloise. I am starting my second year at ANU in International Relations and Languages. I am a tidy, quiet and independent roommate who minds her own business but also loves hanging out from time to time. My hobbies are Netflix, learning languages and being a style icon. I have wonderful parents who will be taking care of the rent, so that will not be a problem.
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Perth in late January to start as a Graduate with the Treasury. I enjoy keeping active, meeting new people, and catching up with mates. I am pretty easy going and social, but respect people's personal time and space. I am clean and tidy, but not pedantic about it. If you think I might be a good fit, or want to know more about me, don't hesitate to get in touch. John
