I'm an international student from France over in Newcastle for a semester. I like to go out and discover new things, I love to travel and hang out when I'm not working or studying. I'm not especially loud, I'm always tidy in the common areas and I enjoy meeting new people. I've lived with other people before so I would have no problem sharing a house with anyone.
Hi everyone! My name is Natasja Chen, a 19 year old Nutrition and Dietetics student from The Netherlands (Amsterdam). This semester I will study at the UoN as a exchange student. Cooking is also one of my favorites activities so make sure to cook with me! *Good to know about me* My friends describes me as a open and social person who always likes to explore the world and getting to know people. Quite easy going and likes to share stories. Exploring the world is fascinating me which why I like to travel. I like to have social contact and doing spontaneous trips so I am looking for students who also thinking the same way. I am looking for a room from now (end of February till the end of June - 4 months) Please contact me for further questions or if you would like to meet :)

I am looking for a place for up to 3 months, because i am returning to Germany in May/June.
Hello! I am 18 years old, currently working as a receptionist in a conveyancing firm. Moving to be closer to the University of Newcastle where i'll be studying architecture. Looking for people who are extroverted, enjoy a few drinks occasionally whilst also respecting their roommates, privacy, and personal space. Moving with a friend, her page is https://flatmates.com.au/F1779218?first_time=true if you would like to suss her out. Feel free to message me anytime!
Hi, We're a couple (25 and 30) with a well trained golden retriever, and our fur baby (cringe...sorry) must come with us. We're laid back and chill, but we also know how to clean and we are sociable but not loud. We're focused on doing well at work and uni and meeting some really cool people along the way. I'm from Newcastle, my husband is Mexican-American (California). He makes great tacos, enchiladas and nachos. I'm working part-time and finishing a grad dip in psychology. We love movies, laughing and anything creative...save subway artistry. We are looking for a room in a share house with an ensuite or a granny flat. If you feel like getting in touch, just give us a bell or send us an email : )
I'm a second year Biomedical Science student at Newcastle University. I plan to study Medicine in the future with a goal of becoming a world renowned obstetrician (yes just like Addison Montgomery) and refuse to settle for anything less :) I spend way to much time studying and not enough time travelling. I keep to myself a lot, I rarely got to parties and don't drink other than socially at a gathering where even then I will only have one; although I come as a pair, but luckily you would barely notice I'm around until you saw me patting you cat or dog. I will make an effort to be social but do enjoy me time :D All I really want is to travel to the states at the start of 2017 and work my way to through L.A, San Francisco, Vegas, New York and Orlando.
I'm happy and easy-going, looking for a nice little place to call home. About to start studying medicine full-time at Newcastle Uni and will be working in retail part-time as well! I have a little lovely dog, she's a toy poodle x King Charles cavalier (only 4kg!). She is fully house trained, 3 years old, very quiet. She loves sleeping on laps and going for her daily walks. I'll be keeping myself pretty busy but will be happy to have a chat and hang out with the people I live with. Looking for friendly people. I have some hobbies that may benefit others; I'm fond of making desserts, for example. Happy to join an established household or team up with others to find a rental together, preferably by start of semester on Feb 27.
Hi I am a 48 year old student about to start the Master of Teaching at Newcastle Uni. I am easy going, responsible and happy to live with virtually anyone. I will be starting my course on 27/02/2017 and will be studying for 2 years during which time I plan to supplement my income by doing tutoring.
I've lived independently for the last 3 months so I a not inexperienced at maintaining a space. I'm studying architecture at UON and am also passionate about music. I'm laid back but always involved in household chores etc.
I will be busy working part time and studying full time, so would be out of the house for a lot of the time. On the occasion when I am at home, I am quiet and neat and tidy. By nature, I am easy going, and friendly. I like to unwind by going out for casual drinks, going out for brunch/dinner, reading and watching movies.
Hi everyone, I am moving up to Newcastle to commence studying at the university. I've always lived in Sydney and am ready for a sea change. After living out of home for a few years i'm used to having housemates and getting along with all sorts. I am a low key social person who doesn't have big parties but don't mind them every now and then either. P.S I love all animals
Hello! We are very tidy and clean housemates who respect personal space, but are also very friendly and enjoy having a chat or just chilling out together. Ashleigh is a uni student and is in her third year of a Bachelor of Arts, and Blake is very handy with jobs around the house and technology, and is currently looking for work. We like to keep to ourselves most of the time, but if you're a fan of boardgames, movie nights or late night trips to Yogurtland, then we will get along great too :D We keep shared living areas very clean and tidy, are considerate with our noise levels and would keep our housemates up to date if we would like to have friends or family over. We love animals, and wouldn't mind feeding or walking them for you. We enjoy sharing weekend beverages, trips to the beach and finding places to eat delicious food! We are also both very tall, so we can help clean high spots or get things down for you :P Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to know more or to meet up. We look forward to hearing from you! :)
Hi! I'm from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and I will be doing my internship in Newcastle for 6 months, therefore I'm looking for a cosy house with social flatmates. I might need to be a bit serious during weekdays but in the weekend I would love to go to the beach/to bbq/to meeting new people/to party/club/bar/jogging/swimming/sipping wine/cocktails...
Hi there, I'm Blake. I am currently in my final year of studying a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Newcastle. In my spare time I enjoy rockclimbing, kayaking and swimming. I am tidy, quiet, clean, and love cooking. Rental needs to be LGBTI friendly, unfurnished and non-smoking 😎. Looking to move ASAP. feel free to send a text and tell me a bit about the room, and who I would be living with.
I am a 22 year old student, studying accounting at The University of Newcastle. I am a very friendly and nice person who is very open minded and always up to to try new stuff. Similarly, I am pretty tidy and in many cases organised although I like going with the flow as well. I like cooking and spending time with good people as well as just relaxing in a park, enjoying the Australian summer while reading a book and listening to music. I am looking for fun people to share a house with. Moreover, I am easy going, laid back and love to be part of the house rather than just live! Looking to move in this week, if interested, please send me a message :)
I'm an easy going housemate who has been living in share houses for 15 years, Including one with 10 people, 3 animals, and at times, 3 children. I think if you can keep the peace there, you pretty much can anywhere :) I always treat my flatmates like family. Ie, equal parts helping each other out, but with total respect and not taking the piss. If its raining and i'm home, i'll bring in your washing. If I've got milk, and you need milk, you can have some. But at the same time, If you never clean, and eat all my food every day, that would suck. So I'll probably talk to you about it. I'm active and health conscious, so would like to live with other active people. But i wont judge you if you drink coke and eat maccas ether. I'm moving to Newcastle to study Occupational Therapy. Although i don't have a job yet (as i'm just finishing up my business in Sydney), Ive got plenty of money saved and have never been unemployed in my life, so I know i'll pick up work quickly. I will have no issue with paying rent. (I also am self employed as a energetic healer on the side) I love to meditate, swim, go to the live gigs, grow vegetables, cook, draw. I want to live with easy going people that would like to share a chat and a meal from time to time, but respect my need to study too.
Hi! I'm an exchange student from Sweden arriving in Newcastle on 11/03/17 for one semester of full time studing. Easy going, social and responsible. Looking for anything furnished with friendly inhabitants! :-)
I'm an easy going person who likes to be social as well as have time for myself. I work as a Nurse (mostly morning shifts) and am currently continuing my studies part time at uni. I like to catch up with friends and have a drink or two on my days off.
- Really laid back, easy going and sociable. - Respectful of others privacy and independent - have a passion for sport especially Rugby! - Nationality: Tongan, Pacific islander - First year student at university of Newcastle
I'm 21, casual smoker, looking to live with an open minded person(s). Race/gender is not an issue but I do struggle with accents from time to time. I'm a hospitality student and looking for either an apprenticeship or full-time work. I'm a rather tidy person with many years of dish washing behind me, PC gamer, other than that I usually keep to myself, happy to share a few drinks and what not with any future housemates. Look forward to meeting one in the future.
Hi there, moving to Newcastle from Melbourne to study criminology at UON. Worked in human services, community mental health care, government (boring!) and all manner of things in a fluctuating career trajectory. I have lived in Japan, Vietnam and have friends all over Aust and the world as a result. Widely travelled throughout Asia and enjoy the usual things, mainly social beers, bands, hanging out etc. Really looking forward to discovering a new city, new people, new job, perhaps new world-view? Open to all and sundry experiences, I've lived in shared housing my whole life, pretty much. I'd like to think I understand the dynamics!
Hello humans We are a couple both studying speech pathology at UON and working part time. We are both kind and considerate beings who would like to start a quiet new household with another person or two (couples included). We are both vegans and like to cook and respect others personal space/privacy. We are looking to move before the end of February before uni starts back. We aren't drinkers, smokers and don't have any pets. Our hobbies include going for bushwalks, meditating, reading and watching movies. If you have any questions please feel free to text or message us :) We look forward to hearing from you.
Easy-going people are really the only thing I care about. Other than that, I'm easy. I've graduated UNI, and am now looking to work full time in Newcastle. I'm a laid back guy, who's always down for a good time. Social, considerate, not really good at talking myself up. Non-smoker, I enjoy a good drink or twelve (when it's necessary, of course), and I have an affinity for dogs.
I care about my flatmate's feelings so I always try to minimise noises and keep the place hygienic, I also put great amount of effort into getting along with my flatmates.
Totally into studying. Doing a double degree in Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Mathematics at Callaghan campus of Newcastle Uni. I don't drive so need a place close to uni or close to transport. Furnished and an inclusive rent would suit very well.
Hi, I'm Jane and I'm super friendly! Get along with everyone but respectful of others space and privacy. Hopefully start studying child care soon. I'm not a party person but I don't mind if others are. Have 2 indoor cats, quite friendly and don't bite or scratch or anything. I'm flexible about Location as long as there's public transport near by 😊
Hey 🙋🏻 I'm Kim, I am 23 years old have relocated from Dubbo about 7months ago now. I work casually part-time and also am starting my first year at UON studying teaching. I am not so much a partier but I don't mind a few casual drinks on a hot summer arvo! I have a fun bubbly personality and am easy to get along with, will always try and make you laugh 😜 If I seem like your new roomie, hit me up I love meeting new people.
I'm a 22 year old who works part time and is about to start study. My pup is a 7 year old female who doesn't lick, isnt destructive, and loves a good snooze. We're looking for a place that Evie (pup) is allowed inside as she's a sucker for company.
Hi my name is Alex, and I'm a musician currently studying at uni. I'm social and easy to talk to, whether it be to have a chat or to discuss something house related. I'm also quite laid back and easy going, and I'm always up for adventures and new experiences with people.
My partner and I are looking for a cheap place to call home, anywhere close to Newcastle University would be great however happy to travel 30mins. We are both students, Josh is studying to become a Science Teacher and I am studying Criminology. We have 2 dogs and a cat, all outside animals and all very well trained, the dogs will even shake your hand, they are very friendly. We are 24 and 23yrs old, I work in retail and Josh works as a teachers aide, both of us a few days a week as we both study full time, this means we are hardly home. We are very clean, tidy and easy going people, we pay our rent on time. We enjoy socialising however respect peoples privacy. Contact me ASAP if you think you have a room for us and a backyard for our fur-babies and we can talk more :)
Hello. I am a 40 yo Community Worker, moving to Newcastle from the Mid North Coast for work. I am a quiet and tidy housemate. I'm happy to socialise with you but am also able to give you your own space. In my spare time I like to see live shows and art exhibitions. I'm also a keen bush walker.
I am studying full-time and work 30 hours permanent part time a week. I just want a quiet place to call home while I put myself through uni. I enjoy a casual drink and am a very social person. Beer, wine and cheese are always good to wind down with. I love the beach and being outside. I am quiet and mindful of others and like to keep a tidy space.
Hey I'm Tom. Sociable, Fun, kind and considerate. I keep tidy and respectful of other peoples space and property. I'm very relaxed and enjoy getting to know and hanging out with new people. I study Youth Work at TAFE and I'm keen to get into disability support work. I love watching movies and having a drink with friends. I'm also an avid nature lover, whether it be hiking, camping or fishing. Looking for a place that will accept pets, as I have a small pup named Riley!!
Finishing up my last semester at the University of Newcastle whilst working full time to gain some degree-related experience. I am quiet, clean, respectful and relaxed but very much enjoy going out to see live music on weekends. Currently living in Kotara and working between Newcastle and the Port Stephens area. Preferably looking for accommodation that is close to public transport, either bus or train.
Hey, I'm Tayla, I am 19 and I'm about to start my first year of Primary Teaching at UON and have previously done the Newstep course there. I'm currently looking for a job as I have been living down the coast for the Uni break but am confident I will be able to get a job rather soon. This will be my first time living out of home without other family around and I am very excited to start this new journey in my life. I have grown up with my Mum renting houses so I understand a lot about it and have first hand experience, I pay for my own phone and have never been late for a payment in the two years that I've had a plan. I am clean and tidy, love to socialise with people and get to know new people but I also love my alone time. Would love to meet new people and develop some great friendships through this experience as I don't really know many people in the area hence why I am advertising on this website. If there's anything else you would like to know, feel free to message me I'd be happy to chat. (I previously had another ad up but deleted it as I wanted to add more information about myself in this new one)
My name is Brendan I'm 23 and I need to move from QLD to Newcastle for uni, I'm studying Medical Diagnostic Radiography. I'm a chilled guy, I like to be clean and organised. Love a good surf. Not keen on a party house, I'm kinda over the getting drunk every weekend thing, all though I do enjoy going out and having a drink, being social and having good people around! I'm pretty well ready to move whenever, but before uni starts would probably be a good idea. Cheers!
Pretty social person who loves getting to know people although I enjoy and respect the need for personal space. Clean and tidy. I'm just starting my honours year in a Bachelor of Psychology so not keen on a crazy party house tho chill drinks with friends are appreciated :). I enjoy a house that feels like a home where housemates aren't just some randoms who happen to live in the same building :)
I am an outgoing and entertaining 20 year old bloke who loves a beer and meeting new people. I always have contributed to the best of my ability to every house i have ever lived in and try my best to be a pleasure to live with. Having recently moved to Newcastle for a job offer i simply could not refuse I am looking to stay here for the long term and have some fun all the while making great friends along the way.
I am financially independent, extremely responsible and definitely cleaner than the average Aussie male. I am going to be living in Newcastle for 2 years while completing my Masters degree. I'm happy to have a drink n chat n chill or to keep to myself if you prefer privacy. I love sport, particularly League, cricket and soccer. Also play golf and other sports. Enjoy movies & TV but don't like spending hours watching, more likely to play PS4 or just get out of the house to do something. I do a pretty good BBQ, can cook reasonably well and don't mind sharing housework duties. The main catch is that I am married, and my wife would be staying for a month or so in April and another month in October. I would be going back to China to run my schools Summer camp for 6 weeks in Australian winter. At the end of November I would be moving back to China for 3 months between semesters. At this point I would decide whether to keep the same accommodation for 2 years without a break or to move out before my time away.
I am 21 years old and studying business and commerce at UON. I work part-time as a barista. I have been living in sharehouses since I was 17 and have never had any problems with other housemates. I am very tidy and organised and am always up for a chat but also appreciate personal space and will like to keep to myself occasionally. If you want to know more send me a message :)
Im 20 years old and am an extremely social and friendly person, but I also enjoy keeping to myself at times. I am very clean and have to live in a tidy area. I'm looking to move in with females only. I am a very creative and artsy person, and I sing and play some acoustic guitar and piano so a room mate would have to be ok with that. I like to get out of the house a lot, and spend most of my time at the beach. Im also starting at Newcastle uni this feb. That's pretty much it!
great cook, handy-electrician, I have two children which visit every second weekend. I enjoy surfing, motor bikes, etc. I used to be a chef and barman so thats where the cook comes from. I have also renovated a house which is where the handy comes from along with the fact that i am a licenced electrician. Additional storage would be handy as i have quite alot of tools etc but not essential.
I'm friendly but not intrusive, quiet but not dead, neat and tidy but not to point of OCD. I can cook but I wont take over the kitchen and I clean up as I go. I am happy to share cleaning duties on a roster. I'll even take out the garbage bins and bring them in. I can chat about anything if that's what you need and I'll leave you alone when you need space.
We are a couple looking for a share house in Newwy. I work full time in realestate and have a second job as a waitress on week nights and James is a musician and works at a cafe when he's not Gigging. We're very laid back and love hanging out with mates, although are both considerate and mature enough to live peacefully with others. We have an 8 month old black Labrador who is the most dosile dog you'll ever meet- so we're looking for somewhere pet friendly.
i work as a barista so already I have your attention. I'm up at 4:30am most morning so I will need to be with people who don't mind me getting up that early. I tend to kept to myself but don't mind a "family" BBQ and a couple of drinks. Just looking for somewhere that makes it feel like home and not like I'm bothering and inconvenience to anyone. I'm clean and I'm a massive push over so I'll be deso for you. Just like to see people happy.
Hi! My name is Kim, I'm 28 and work as a Beauty/Laser Therapist. I'm looking for one or two people around the same age as me to rent a house. I'm a 2 for 1 deal as I own a dog - a 20kg groodle named Sunny. She's well behaved and has heaps of energy. I'd prefer to live with someone who doesn't have any pets - we've lived with two other dogs at one stage and it was overwhelming - I'm no Caesar Milan that's for sure. Cats are definately a no-go because Sunny loses her mind over them. I'm very clean and tidy, respectful of other's space and super friendly. Love having a laugh, make a mean cheese platter, love a glass of red and I'm always down for a chat. I like to entertain every now and again or get dressed up to go to a bar. I am by no means a party animal (I'm saving to buy a house) so if you enjoy rolling home from Kingers at 4am more than once a week then we probably won't be a good fit! On weekends I like to get outdoors, go to the beach, go to cafes or markets, take Sunny for walks and just generally be social with friends. Looking for someone who is a normal, functioning adult that is a non-smoker. I own bits and pieces but no larger items such as fridge, washing machine etc so it would be great if I could team up with someone who has those things already! I work full time so $$$ is no issue and I always pay rent on time. If you're interested send me a message :)
I am a neat and tide type of person who is looking for a place to live for the first time out of the family home. I am not currently work but I am willing to do what ever needs to be done while I am around the house.
My name is Amber, and I am 23 years old and work 2 part time jobs in Newcastle. I am currently looking for a place to stay following a change in personal circumstances. I am a neat and tidy person who can make a an awesome cup of tea! I play womens AFL on the weekends, and love theatre.
I have just got got back from working in Japan for the last year looking for a room to rent! I am fun love to Sunday arvo drinks but I also work hard, working 3 part time jobs in Newcastle at the moment! And love to hit the gym
This will probably be the most brutally honest flatmate add you will ever read. I am a full time employed person who love my own space so I will stay out of your way a lot but I am happy to have a drink and spend time with a fun flatmate. I love to cook and look after the space. I am pretty house proud. Here is the thing, I am looking for something very specific. I am single and would like to have fun without judgement. I will give and give to the house and the people in it but here are the things I need. A flat mate who ... Must be ok with - sex sounds - muffled screams - lesbian action (I am bi and sometimes enjoy the company of ladies) - jelly wrestling parties - group sex (it's ok, you can join in if you like!!) - BDSM themes Must not be A prude Also, no vegans. Sounds silly but I have loved with people who wouldn't let me cook meat in the house before soooo ... Nope. As you can see I am honest and straight forward ... What you see is what you get !! Male flatmate preferred. Purely because I usually get a long with males better, but I am happy to be proved wrong !! :)) Peace and love
I am in the Early Stages of looking into my next living situation. Looking at moving end of March. I have furniture for a room + lounge room. Fridge and washing machine. I can sell/ store some furniture, but would prefer to keep as much as possible. Looking at unfurnished room/ studio/ granny flat etc. I am an "Ambivert" (Both introvert and extrovert) I Like people, and socializing, however, I need my own space and time to recharge. I clean up after myself, and prefer a tidy house- but not an OCD clean freak. I like to think i'm a considerate housemate, and quite open for discussion for any house rules/ to avoid tense/ negative conflict.
I'm Chris and I study Computer Science at UoN. I'm currently looking for a new place to live. I'm not new to sharehouses so I know how they work. I'm clean, quiet, and easygoing
Hello, I am Marta, 28 years old, from Spain. I am here working in my PhD in HMRI (close to John Hunter Hospital). I am a tidy, clean and social person. I don't smoke and I don't have pets either. I would like to find a bed in a share room for about 160$ (all included, if possible), but I am open to hear other offers. I would like to live either around Hamilton or Cooks Hill or close to the HMRI (being in the centre of the city or close to my job place).
Hey my name is Sarah 😊 I recently just moved back to Newcastle after living in Sydney for the past 3 and a half years. I woke in the hospitality industry a few days a week and I'm completing my nursing degree at Avondale college. I'm from out Toronto way and I'm looking to move into town as its closer to everything and majority of my friends live in town also. I love to chill and hang out with friends, exercise and keep fit, travel and explore new places ect and partying haha
