I am seeking a Tasmanian base over Xmas and New Year from which to explore and contribute to Tassie culture. I will start in Hobart on 28Oct20. I 'live' worldwide. That means living with family, friends, sharing, by myself in homes, homesits, homestays, airbnb, hostels etc. I have a personal pension from which I volunteer my professional environmental and sustainability services and help people wherever I go. Mainly online as a digital nomad. I am very interested in cultural and community interconnectedness, enjoy the arts (music, art, community choir, online entertainment) and outdoor activities (hiking, cycling, orienteering, sailing, rafting) and maintain a healthy way of life (semi veg, non-smoker, pilates, yoga). I am easy to live with: worldly (about 80 countries), happy to share above, social and private, versatile, adaptable, self-reliant and positive. Indeed, I practice what I preach and integrate well! For example, over 9 months in 2019 in South America, I lived with locals and built biocapacity there on 20 projects. In 2017 it was the Himalayas and 2018 Western Europe. I am currently working across Oceania and in SEAsia. For example, the photo is while book packing for Books4PNGKids, a NFP that advances Pacific Island literacy by reusing pre-loved Aussie books. I have visited Tasmania twice (active holidays) and am now looking forward to a longer stay. My preferred approach is to: 1) negotiate a broad definition of sharing that I'm used to, e.g. sharing meals, cooking, chores, knowledge-broking, host/cohost, pet care, garden/home maint etc and 2) test the agreement before committing to a lengthy stay. For example, currently I am homesitting a friend's 3 bed Queenslander in CBD Brisbane over 8 months: caring for the home and maintaining its prolific garden.

Hello There, I work in a Kingston cafe four days a week and do casual Voice Over work. Keen to live closer to my little music studio and the cities activities. I dont drink or smoke anymore, but i don't care if you do. Hobbies include - making sweet tunes - perfecting my morning porridge - playing online games with my lil sister - reading (KINDLE FOR LYF) Ill be bringing my asshole goldfish Worf with me. In my eyes hes a murderer, not a pet. He killed all the other fish. If you can ignore his crimes im sure you'll get along, but im yet to forgive him. Flexible on stay length. Need to be out of my current place by December, earlier wont be an issue.

My deal: Im just about to graduate my nursing degree in Launceston. Once I hear from the hospitals in Hobart I'm hoping to make my move, in 2021 I'll be doing shift work full time. Ive been renting for the past 2 years so I understand how to be a respectful and clean roomie- I clean as I go and won't leave pans to 'soak' for 3 days. I have a gorgeous cat who I share a lot of qualities with -loves to spend time outdoors and socialising -loves equally to spend time on the couch watching Netflix -very independant but will never turn down attention

Recent arrival to Tassie.. me and my horse got on the boat just before lockdown ! Looking for a place to call home in these crazy times. I'm an Aries, "mature" but young at heart .. I'm into cooking, gardening, music and art, I've lived in share houses most of my life so hope to think I'm good at sharing space. Semi vegetarian, occasional and soon to be quit smoker, not a drinker.. Bit of a leftie I suppose and probably deemed a little eccentric, but I prefer interesting Easy to get along with, happy to socialise but like my own space.

I am looking to move out of my current house in mid November (once uni semester 2 finishes). Ideally Sandy Bay or South Hobart, West or North Hobart at a push! The shortest walk to uni is a priority for me :) Grew up in Hobart, lived away for 6 years and i've been back nearly 2 years. Current Master of Teaching student specialising in secondary music education. Studying full time, hoping to gig over summer and planning to take on some teachers-aide work part time. Love making music (songwriting, singing, re-learning fiddle), reading, drinking tea, knitting, gardening (with enthusiasm rather than expertise) and am vegan. I am fully house-trained having thrived in (and survived) many sharehouse experiences, both here and abroad. A cleaning roster appeals to me, as does a weekly/fortnightly communal meal and some housemate socialising - It is important to me that people feel safe and comfortable in shared living spaces. Looking for a room to rent in an existing share house, or to start a new home with some friends.

I grew up in Tasmania and love its wild tracts of forests and beaches. I have lived in an eco-village in Wales for the last 2 years and am now returning to Tassie. I love cats and dogs and sheep and chickens. I enjoy growing my own food and investigating the mountain. I am dedicated to my work as an academic editor, this is sometimes full-time or part-time work. I like most genres of music, including soul, pop, chill, reggae and psytrance. I can be both highly social and introverted and I enjoy having close friendships with my housemates. I am tidy but also flexible in a share-house arrangement. I watch Netflix most days.

Hi! I'm Sam, a 24 year old student moving to Hobart from Adelaide in mid November. I'm in the final year of my Undergraduate degree with the intention of starting a Masters of Teaching afterwards. I have lived in many share houses, and am very flexible and easy going with living arrangements. I do have a car but only really use it to go camping, as long as there is somewhere to park within a block or two that's fine. In my spare time I will likely be off doing long bushwalks, running, photography or some combination of the three. I absolutely love a good board games/quiz night or cook up but also enjoy personal time and a quiet, clean home. I am mostly vegetarian with a few exceptions (I have a love/hate relationship with Parmesan cheese), and I like to be as environmentally conscious as possible. I'd love to find a Home in Hobart - not just a house. I also make the worlds best rumballs* - if that doesn't sway you, i'm not sure what will! * as voted on by my previous housemates - references available

I enjoy my own company and am looking for a quiet place; hopefully TV free or be able to escape it. I don't need lots of social interaction but am happy to chat. I am a teacher 4 days/wk and fixer of things so I am looking for a space which might also have a workshop area. Caring for the Planet and children is important to me.
